With the start of June, here’s a quick glimpse of some of the games and packs that will be arriving on the PlayStation Store this month. There will, of course, be loads of trailers and behind the scenes videos coming out of E3 this week too, which we’ll be adding to the Store on Wednesday and Friday.
Fat Princess
Late June, Fat Princess will be rolling onto PSN! The online mode will include multiplayer for up to 32 people where you’ll be trying to rescue your beloved princess from the opposing team and their magical girth-expanding cake.
Trash Panic
Since the first preview at last year’s Tokyo Game Show, the feedback about Japan Studios’ Trash Panic in the gaming press has been anything but rubbish. This addictive PS3 puzzler will be equipped with Trophy support, online rankings and even a very nifty YouTube video upload feature to show off your best strategies.
The full game will be hitting the Store in early June, along with a very helpful tutorial trailer to help you get to grips with the finer aspects of eco-friendly waste management, Trash Panic-style.
Numblast
Numblast will be arriving on the PS Store for both PS3 and PSP late June. This colourful puzzler will include online rankings, and if you gain enough points you’ll earn trophies and unlockable content too!
Ghostbusters PS3 demo
Don’t cross the streams! The Ghostbusters demo is due out soon after E3 exclusively on PSN, so can join the boys in grey as they slug it out with pesky poltergeists in preparation for the release of the game in late June.
PSP
A number of classic PSP titles will also make their debut as digital downloads from the Store. We’re expecting Ape Academy 2, Everybody’s Golf 2, Syphon Filter Logan’s Shadow and WipEout Pulse Platinum to be available during the first two weeks of June.
This is just a small taste of all the great content we’ve got lined up for you in June. We’ll bring you more information about the new LittleBigPlanet costume packs and loads of other downloadable content for your favourite PS3 games in a separate update.

I have fallen totally in love with Fat Princess since about a year ago when it was first shown to the public. It is especially the combination of cutesy cartoon characters, blood and gore that i find truly exciting. It is without any doubt my most anticipated PSN game of the year. The little problem here that i am strongly against the use of credit cards for online payments. I am indeed one of those who do not trust the system at all, although i keep on getting told that it is fully secured. I have occasionally made an exception by establishing online transactions through PAYPAL, but the PlaystationNetwork unfortunately does not support it. I would have hoped that PSN Cards would have landed in the EU regions by now, but it has not and i doubt it ever will. In all honesty i cannot understand how Sony cannot sell PSN Cards in the EU territories while Apple can manage to sell iTunes cards, Microsoft can sell MS points, and even Nintendo can sell Wii points! Incompetence is my one and only belief. Dear Charlotte, I would truly appreciate if you could give us an official word on the PSN Card European deployment situation. Anything really, because the lack of communication on this subject is truly unacceptable

Can’t wait for the Ghostbusters demo. I’m on the fence between buying Ghostbusters and Transformers so playing the demos will help me decide. On another note, will this blog be giving out Uncharted Beta Codes to PSN members like the US blog

On title that i’ve been waiting to see on PSN for quite some while is “FEAR EFFECT” – absolutely loved that game and was very sad to hear that the 3rd in the series never came to fruition…saying that though it’s welcome news to see FF7 on its way to PSN

@59
No chance, E3 is an American thing so there won’t be any EU announcements I don’t think.
Looks like a good month though, especially with any extras from E3

That’s all great, especially Fat Princess, but what’s the use if I can’t buy them? Give me access to the PSStore and let me spend my money the proper way – don’t disappoint us Balkan guys.

Finally, Fat Princess is almost here. It’s been a long wait for such a promising game. After gems like Flower and the Pixeljunk games, the PSN continues to shine.
To those clamoring for more PS1 Classics, just be patient. There will most certainly be an onslaught of PS1 games when the PSP Go is released (another thing I can’t wait for – damn you, Sony!).

Posted on 1 June, 2009 at 5:57 pm by E-ROLE
@95
The PSP Go does look interesting, I just wounder how it’s going to work with download only games. It’s safe to say that most people have broadband by now and the onboard memory does seem like enough. I guess it’s all down to initial sales and take up.
Personaly I would have designed the psp a little differently, but it does work overall.

Glad to see we are getting a bit of attention on the EU store….Just a quick note, wtf happened to the Silent Hill PSX on the store, I was all set to buy it, and it was gone…with no explanation, that pissed me off!
And I agree we need more classics on the store….or do you guys not like money XD

Good to get a heads up, Fat Princess looks very good.
It would be great to get some info on the Blast Factor (6 months over due) and The Last Guy trophy updates???
Also the PS1 classics the US is getting…. when will they make it to the EU?????
Fingers crossed Bomberman isn’t too far off.
Some answers on these regularly asked questions isn’t too much to ask!
