Hope you all enjoyed the E3 trailers we put on the store yesterday, there were definitely some great titles shown off. Now though, it’s back to normal proceedings with our weekly Thursday publish.
For those of you who’ve been asking about the release of Final Fantasy VII, I can confirm that we now have the English and Spanish language versions live on the Store today. Although, I have to apologise to those who are waiting for the French and German language versions as we’ve had to delay those versions until tomorrow afternoon.
Alongside the release of FFVII we’ve got a nicely varied selection of content for you this week: there is the great puzzler Trash Panic; for the fight-fans out there we have the demo of Fight Night Round 4; GTI Club gets some additional cars for you to race in; and those Resistance 2 Grim and Malikov skins are now available too. It’s also a pleasure for us to feature the first batch of downloadable tracks for Rock Band Unplugged for our PSP users.
It doesn’t stop there though; see the full list below for more.
It’s only the beginning of June, but I think we’ve got off to a good start. And, there’s a great deal more brilliant content coming this month (and beyond) so be sure to join me every Thursday to check it out.

***By the way***
In your E3 Trailers list you have got:
Assassin’s Creed 2 Commented Gameplay Trailer
This is not in the E3 Section of the Store but seems to be replace by Final Fantasy XIII Official Trailer 2, which seems not to be in your list?

FF7 – yay! I bought it even though I have disc version. I figure that the best way to get more ps1 classics on the store is to vote with my wallet
Plus I want to play it on my PSP.
Actual question: would it be possible to include the price in Australian dollars in future update notices as well?

I’ve resetted several times, and got my brother to check his PS3: Final Fantasy VII is not there. Everything else is, but not FFVII.
I’ve noticed this before, PS1 titles not appearing on the Irish store. I can live without Rayman, but not Final Fantasy VII. What’s up?

Ah great, thanks. One issue I have with the playstation network is that you don’t seem to be able to download and use PlayTV at the same time. I don’t see the problem with downloading and watching at the same time?

Are you going to make something for the ones who have the FFVII and other games purchased in CDs? Something like when you introduce your original copy of a game, you get a code for a special price or free download…
I think that there is a lot of people that are not going to pay again for something they already have…

Question: Is it possible to add the size of al the content, for example I have a 1 Gig stick for my PSP, so I would like to know how many Mb FF7 is. ^^

Final Fantasy VII is great, but it’s no CRASH BANDICOOT 2.
WHERE IS IT?
Nice to see FF7 available the same week as the US though, thanks for that. Keep it up!
Also, will there be a digital version of Rock Band at the same time as the retail release? I’m planning on getting a PSPgo (though not at £230…) and want to get digital copies from here on.

Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:21 pm by Dexiro
When are we getting the Spyro games?
The US store has had them for ages!
It’d be nice to see Klonoa as well

Is Rock Band Unplugged going to be released on the store?

Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:23 pm by gogo-kun
A little question here : having played ff7 in French when it was released, I remember it as poorly translated. Is there a way to get the English game ?
Otherwise, great week for the PSN.

If you can’t find FF7 then try using the search feature in the PS Store thats how i found it:)
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:29 pm by Mike Kebby
Well spotted that you can find it through search, but my sincere apologies that it seems to have been missed out of the Latest section in the Irish store, this is being rectified as I type this

Has trash Panic got trophies??
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:30 pm by Mike Kebby
It does indeed – I have yet to get any though…I seem to be especially bad at this game at the moment
I will get better though, I promise myself that

Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:24 pm by Hellblazer
Hey,
There is a dedicated section for PSone games – they are found in the PS3 Games and PSP Games sections under PSone Classics
—————————————–
You are right indeed good sir… no wonder I didn’t notice it’s a bloody star icon
Yeah I understand about the platinum thing, just saying US store looks better with it’s consistent labeling. Anyway, no big deal.
Thanks for the heads up.
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:32 pm by Mike Kebby
Hey, we love that star icon
Thanks for the feedback, it’s always good to hear from the community what they’d like to see, I can’t promise we will necessarily always be able to act on feedback, but we do listen!

nice update, is ther any chance we are getting the spyro the dragon trilogy in the UK?? the US have them all, why dont we??
77
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:32 pm by MightyCrow
I agree with Dexario, I loved the Spyro games. I have Spyro 2 on disc but I would by it again to be able to play it on my PSP without an internet connection. It’s a 1st party game so it should be easy for you to get it onto the store surely?

I’m having trouble adding funds to my PS3 account, is it me or just temporary?
This is my error code: 80023102
I’ve refunded my PSN account twice with no problems and now that I desperatly want FF VII I can’t buy it
79
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:35 pm by Arlanthir
Hey, great to see FFVII coming to Europe so soon.
Really hope Metal Gear Solid follows it!
But why the difference in prices? I mean, aside from this, look at Patapon in America and Europe… You always seem to convert 1$ to 1€ (if we’re lucky), making the price always criminal. It gets worse when we’re paying for something we already have (ps1 games).
Other than that, do want those classics! Would be nice to see the same with PS2 games, but if they didn’t come with E3 I guess we’re not that lucky…
Keep it up, loving the EU blog

Awesome, Trash Panic at last!
I guess it was only available to buy a week after it was released.
Also, FFVII, beautiful.

Sometimes this happens when lots of people are adding funds to their account. It’s like at christmas in the shops if its busy the till sometimes takes a while to process. Just keep trying.

Final Fantasy isn’t available in the dutch store. How come? Only the english version will be released in the netherlands. I’ve tried every category and used the search function, but still I can’t find it.

Nice way to hide ff7! With the EU store being so bad, no way I’m ever getting a psp go. I’ll keep importing UMDs from the US, thank you very much.
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 7:46 pm by Mike Kebby
Hi Agent_Cooper (not a Twin Peaks fan perhaps are you?), I did address this in an earlier comment, the store will be updated to show FFVII in Latest very soon. Apologies for the frustration caused.

On the IE store, you can *only* find FF7 by using the search function. Maybe it’s the same for the Dutch? Annoying either way…

I can’t find FF7 on the dutch store either.
As said before we’re neither a german or french speaking country.

I think I didn’t see FFVII in the Finnish Store yearlier? I’m not sure if it had all the other stuff but at least some game was added today. Oh, and Finland uses English versions of games, not German or Italian or anything like that, when there’s no Finnish version available (and usually there isn’t, thankfully I think). I think I’ll check again sometime soon.
Not that FFVII mattered to me… I already own a physical copy that’s in an excellent condition and I’m not quite ready to pay twice the price of a ‘normal’ PS1 game. 7.99€ is the maximum I’ll pay for a PS1 game unless in some very special condition.
Also, where’s Wolfenstein 3D? I thought it was coming this week?

despite not being able to afford FF7, i just bought it XD
i never played it the first time around, however, i only heard good things about it, and i play FF9 once in a while still and love it, so i believe i’ll find FF7 entertaining

OK, I give up. You can keep your games SCEE!

I recntly bought FF8 of E-bay and it works on my ps3, what model of PS3 do you own as some of the newer models do not have backwards compatability. (Athlough i’m almost sure they have no PS2 emulator I think they still may have one for PS1)

Final fantasy is a true ps classic, can we look forward to more in the EU such as Metal gear solid, Resident evil & Tomb raider? Tomb raider would be particularly great since it was made here.
