Hello everyone! My name is Victor and I’m the Editor for Killzone.com at Guerrilla. For my first post on the European PlayStation.Blog, I have the honour of announcing the new Killzone-themed content for PlayStation Home.
Have you ever peered out of the windows of your cosy Harbour Studio apartment and wished that the view was a little less… serene? Maybe you’ve stared down at the calm, sunlit marina and wondered what it would be like to overlook a burning, war-torn cityscape. Perhaps you feel that the clean, contemporary architecture of the Studio doesn’t quite possess the grandeur to match your megalomaniacal ego.
The Visari Throne Room apartment for PlayStation Home is just what you need. Based on the throne room inside Visari’s Palace from the final mission of Killzone 2, it combines the majestic proportions of Helghast architecture with the regal aesthetic of the Autarch himself. Tastefully lit by a hellish, alien sunset, it is guaranteed to impress and humble anyone you invite over for a chat.
Of course, no palatial chamber is complete without stately furnishings to match. For the Visari Throne Room, we’ve created five pieces of furniture based on actual palace furnishings from Killzone 2: two types of Visari-style chairs, an administrative desk, a plant container with authentic Helghan vegetation, and a freestanding painting which portrays an important moment in the colonial history of the Helghast. In Killzone 2 these were mostly used by Radec’s elite guard to barricade the palace hallways, but don’t let that stop you from arranging them however you like.
The Visari Throne Room and matching furniture are scheduled for release in the second half of June, with pricing TBD. Be sure to visit Killzone.com soon for a closer look at the new PlayStation Home content, including additional images of the throne room!

This is probably the wrong place to say it but anyway.
In KZ2, you have to let us search for specific DLC map packs when search for games. I want to be able to play boths maps in a game, not one or the other. It’s like you can search for KZ2 original maps and the individual maps but for the DLC pack you can only search for the individual maps. I want to be able to search for games using the Steel Titanium map pack.

I like… Even if I dont like the idea of payed content on Home!
However, will there be a community home space made available? Maybe on bored an ISA cruiser. Couple of rooms etc (Okay, I presume that if you are making a home space, you will be well in to making it but still… an idea for the future)

“It will be available in the EU as well as the US. The release dates may differ slightly.”
This better comes first in Europe, because when I go to the US home there is so many things we don’t get, it’s really weird how you treat your best fanbase really.

Home needs to have the same content no matter where u live, after going into the American Home, I cant even go back to our Home, as it has nothing to do.
If all games are going to support game launching one day, then it would suck not being able to join a friend just cuz one Home supports it and another doesnt, that would not be very unified.

It’s nice to see a developer differentiate from the norm when it comes to HOME support.

Definitely going to buy one of these! The furniture is looking great also, congratulations on adding worthwhile content to Home! Maybe you could give away a free Helgan costume to people who buy the apartment, there’s no other way for us Saturday morning workers to get one

will we ever have game-launching?

In the US they get free home T’s during E3, and the other day I got a nice free tree-room. I’m never going to pay for this kind of content. And when are we getting our trophy room that was promised years ago?
Hoe is one huge disapointment.

Great but on the other site not. There are gamerelated spaces in Home and they are just like this one and they are FREE, no cost at all.
This is going the wrong way. I know that Home is free and it cost Sony a lot of money to get Home on our tv’s but make gamerelated speces free and available for all Home users, not only for paying gamers. That we have to pay for clothing and furniture is oke, but gamerelated spaces MUST be free at all times.

@76…
This isn’t a ‘space’…it is an apartment. Different thing altogether.

To bad that the european Home crew/SCEE got their thumbs up their butts.
I’m guessing we will see this space this fall, and during that time US-Home will have like 27 spaces added to their region.
Nevertheless the space looks awesome ^^
