PlayStation Store Update – 11th June 2009

Hello again, I hope you’ve all had a good week! This week sees an incredible array of content on the store, from a brand new PSN full game, to a couple of ‘old-school’ classics, our new music application VidZone, additional map packs for two great FPS titles; Call of Duty: World at War and Killzone 2, and much more. Burnout Paradise has also had a recent extension into Big Surf Island, so all Paradise City racers should get themselves ready for more mayhem. :)

Following on from the announcement of The Last Guardian, fans of the two previous Team Ico titles Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, and of LittleBigPlanet, can now download some great new costumes for their Sackboy to celebrate their love of these games.

I know I said this last week too, but I think we’ve had a great start to June on the PlayStation Store and I just wanted to reiterate the point, that there’s much more great new content to come.

Have a good week all and, as usual, let us know what you think ;)

Come on, even if i love little big planet, who cares about ICO costumes?
There are 70 millions people waiting to download FF7, why can’t we get it?

We have already waited one more week, and now, FF7 is not released because of a… “””””bug”””””?

What bug? Give us some explanation!

    Mike Kebby 11 June, 2009 @ 3:52 pm

FFVII has been released, there have been issues with the French version unfortunately, I won’t give specific reasons, but it will be fixed in due course and released as soon as possible, please be patient with us, and I apologise for the delay.

Awesome store update! Big Surf Island here I come!

an error trying to add funds to my wallet do not let me buy DLC.

tbisley 11 June, 2009 @ 3:55 pm   23

Why are the PSP games £14.99? They are only digital copies :(

Razgriz375 11 June, 2009 @ 3:57 pm   26

@8: I don’t have a PS3, so I’m limited to the videos released to the PC and PSP PSN stores, I haven’t seen them on the store yet

KelevraV 11 June, 2009 @ 3:57 pm   27

I’m still waiting for the other version of the Cod:WaW map pack to come out, since I have a different code than the one listed on the store.

Oh and any idea when bomberman ultra is coming out? thought it would be today

Otherwise, awesome day!Burnout, Kz2 and CoD! too bad I have exams >.<

Gambe1984 11 June, 2009 @ 4:00 pm   28

@ Mike Kebby – What happened to bomberman…after all it was announced for an 11th june release??

    Mike Kebby 11 June, 2009 @ 4:05 pm

If content you were expecting from a 3rd party publisher has not made it, I’m afraid I cannot comment directly on what has happened to it – this isn’t me avoiding the question, it’s just I can’t comment specifically on content that we do not publish ourselves.

All I can tell you is that we were not tracking it for release this week.

when is rock band unplugged going to come out in Australia? I see DLC for but no game.

KelevraV 11 June, 2009 @ 4:01 pm   30

well one of my questions was answered, both versions of the CoD:WaW map pack are out, thx! now i only wonder about bomberman…

takerusan 11 June, 2009 @ 4:02 pm   31

Why you didn’t tell on the main page for FF VII in French?
Can we hope to play the game tomorrow?

Merilya 11 June, 2009 @ 4:02 pm   32

Where is bomberman Ultra? Man i was so much looking forward to it releasing today, they said 11th june. Where is it? :(

fictionJunction 11 June, 2009 @ 4:05 pm   33

Still no FF7. It is truly unforgivable from Sony not to test the games days before its release date, and if it has been tested, why didn’t you communicate about this issue in the french version before the update??

Well, at least give us an english version, the french translation was so bad anyway.

tbisley 11 June, 2009 @ 4:06 pm   34

@Mike Kebby – Why are the PSP games £14.99? They are only digital copies :(

GGKenChi 11 June, 2009 @ 4:10 pm   35

Great Sony!
Hungary… no PlayStationStore, no PlayStationHOME, and now… NO VidZone

Waiting for a week for FF7… Thank you Sony for your non-information, I am very disapointed…

Diablo_Rosso 11 June, 2009 @ 4:11 pm   37

More PS1 games needed. MGS1, Gran Turismo 1 & 2 and Tekken 3 would be great.

MobileTone 11 June, 2009 @ 4:13 pm   38

great update, looking forwards to trying out all the kicking stuff in Saints Row2

WrestleBlog 11 June, 2009 @ 4:14 pm   39

I’m sure I read somewhere that the Ghostbusters demo would be released before the game. Just doesn’t have the same affect when the full version is being released the very next day or, worse yet, already out.

Never mind, there’s still the US store update to come, which may be able to supply me with it.

Roxas598 11 June, 2009 @ 4:15 pm   40

i’m guessing next week for the demo am i right?

Hi Mike,

Could you please confirm, if is it a Playstation network error,
do not allow me to add funds to my wallet?.

Thank you very much and regards.

Valencia-Spain(Europe).

Darkos87 11 June, 2009 @ 4:18 pm   42

I am getting… vIDZONE

harrowed45 11 June, 2009 @ 4:18 pm   43

Hi guys, looking forward to downloading some stuff as I move out of uni soon.

Just wondering about LittleBigPlanet, obviously the folks at Media Molecule have a lot of work with the downloadable content, is there any chance they are working on new level expansions like the Metal Gear Solid pack had? I ask because I prefer levels to costumes, but then again its okay I guess.

Oh, and is Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror already out for download? I might get that, haven’t played any of those since the 3rd game back on PS1.

Dernholm 11 June, 2009 @ 4:20 pm   44

When will VidZone expand to the rest of europe?

Romain29 11 June, 2009 @ 4:21 pm   45

Where is final fantasy 7?

Natsu89 11 June, 2009 @ 4:26 pm   46

Bill-Will 11 June, 2009 @ 4:29 pm   48

Puzzle quest is over priced , no ?

dragonmagician 11 June, 2009 @ 4:29 pm   49

Are there trophies for Gunstar Heroes? If so, where can I find the list. If not, I’m not buying it, since I already own it.

    Mike Kebby 11 June, 2009 @ 4:30 pm

There are some trophies yes (I have two already), though I don’t have the list I’m afraid…

bravo9zero 11 June, 2009 @ 4:30 pm   50

Vidzone Is fantasic!

    Mike Kebby 11 June, 2009 @ 4:32 pm
