Hi everyone! The first round of the Buzz! World Championships drew to a close last night in our remaining country, Poland. Now, it’s on to Round 2: the National Finals.
Since the Round 1 competition started on 22nd April we’ve had over 73,000 entries across 14 countries, which is really amazing. The competition’s been intense; some entrants uploaded their scores to the leaderboard over 290 times (equivalent to an astonishing 72 hours of solid Buzz! quiz playing!!).
In case you missed it, here’s a quick reminder of what the Buzz! World Championships is all about – a competition to find a World Champion across 14 countries. The first round took place in the single player leaderboard of our new PS3 Buzz! national quiz games (Brain of the UK, Deutschlands Superquiz, Que Sabes De Tu Pais etc.).
Following this, the top 32 players from each country’s Round 1 competition will soon be going head-to-head in their National Final to find each country’s National Buzz! Champion.
Then, later in August we’ll be bringing all the National Champions together for the Grand Final event at a very special location (more soon!) where we’ll crown our Buzz! World Champion and give away the grand prize, a brand new MINI Clubman!
Well done to everyone who’s made it through to the next round; it’s a great achievement but be prepared – it’s going to get tougher yet in the National Finals!
Here are the players to watch out for in each country – your three highest ranking rivals with their best scores:

Hi KAP, no worries for the off-topic question as I’m sure a lot of people want to know this.
Everyone’s working flat-out to get this back up as soon as possible, but unfortunately this won’t be in time for Thursday. I can’t give a more concrete date yet, but keep an eye on the forums – we’ll be keeping you all updated on how this is going there.

Only played it a couple of times, became really disaapointed, I bought the game called Danske Genier (living in DK) – thinking it contained questions related to my own country and living – but no instead it contains weird questions, some which is translated porly about, in one case TV-Programs that aren’t even airing in Denmark, no more Buzz-games for me.
