wardragon989 18 June, 2009 @ 12:05 pm   5

Wow its lacking a bit huh?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 12:08 pm

Unfortunately there is a lull in the release schedule this week, there is lots of content on it’s way though in the coming weeks, it will pick up I promise.

inmykingdom 18 June, 2009 @ 12:06 pm   6

Hmm, not that much of an update if you ask me.

LOL… no content but will still spend, who can resist Spinal Tap on Rock Band… the game was built for that!

And Fat Princess? :| Stop upload those useless things and give us FP!

I thought we’d catch up with stuff that has been appearing on the US store for the past few weeks.

br_steph 18 June, 2009 @ 12:07 pm   10

Where is FFVII in french ??!

Diablo_Rosso 18 June, 2009 @ 12:07 pm   11

Where’s MGS1?

tealcsg1 18 June, 2009 @ 12:08 pm   12

Nothing special

Cookiepooh 18 June, 2009 @ 12:09 pm   13

Where’s the demo of Ghosbusters ? You said it will be released before the game is released ?
Or is it too blurry ?

vinocval 18 June, 2009 @ 12:09 pm   14

Where is Final Fantasy VII in French???

john7doe_ 18 June, 2009 @ 12:10 pm   15

um isn’t the Sackboy druid out this week?
really want that beard

Ikkarus 18 June, 2009 @ 12:11 pm   16

This has got to be one of the weakest PSN updates for a long time.

Looks like I will have to hopefully look forward to playing Fat Princess next week.

Thanks for information though.

Might get a couple of Rock Band tracks today, as well as the MotorStorm Livery.

Reidzer-1314 18 June, 2009 @ 12:11 pm   18

Nothing of interest to be honest.

Will Monster Hunter Freedom Unite see a download release when it comes out?

SolidusDave 18 June, 2009 @ 12:14 pm   20

Where is the addon AND Trophy-Patch for The Last Guy?! It is already out in japanese and US Stores…

I will never buy a PAL PSN game again (and buy from US-Store instead) if you ditch it as you did with Blast Factor Trophy-Update and Dark Mist Update&Addon.

I guess the great echochrome 1.02 Update won’t hit for PAL-Version today, too?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 12:16 pm

I have been informed that the add-on and trophy patch are coming to the EU, I don’t have a concrete date as yet, but they will be released, and hopefulyl sooner rather than later.

unitedkronos 18 June, 2009 @ 12:16 pm   21

No Metal Gear Solid PSone Classic? No LittleBigPlanet content? No demos? It’s plainly lacking, I hope it’s better next week.

Hellblazer 18 June, 2009 @ 12:16 pm   22

Can you get us some info on the trophy patches for Last guy and Blast Factor please.

cheers

FFVII in french ??? Metal Gear Solid 1 in French ??? Resident Evil Director’s Cut in French ??? How long still shall we have to wait for these games so wished?

European users are always the served last ones. The rumbling discontent rises again and again.

Erroneus 18 June, 2009 @ 12:17 pm   24

#21 It’s only fair the EU gets lesser content, after all we do pay more, after SCEE has inflated the price. 1 $ is not 1€ and 1$ is NOT 10 DKR (it’s 5,3).

Stud_Kick_Ass 18 June, 2009 @ 12:17 pm   25

What a load of crap!

Why do EU/AU/NZ ALWAYS miss out?

WHERE THE HELL IS METAL GEAR SOLID LIKE PROMISED!!!!!!

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 12:23 pm

There has been no confirmed release date for MGS onto the EU store, and we have not previously promised this game was to release this week. I understand that this is a game a lot of users want, but as soon as we have some news, you’ll all be informed. Thanks

TheSabreman 18 June, 2009 @ 12:19 pm   26

Thanks for the update.

Time to give SCEA money as SCEE don’t want it.

br_steph 18 June, 2009 @ 12:19 pm   27

Where is Final Fantasy VII in french ? thanks !

xKillerMonkeyx 18 June, 2009 @ 12:19 pm   28

Hmmm was expecting Bomberman. Also thought there was a free LBP costume.

@Erroneus : I’m completely agree with that you said. It is pitiful to be treated as a purse and not as a customer.

Dutch_Rootsman 18 June, 2009 @ 12:21 pm   30

So Mike, any chance you can approach Konami and obtain a solid release date for Metal Gear Solid?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 12:24 pm

We are looking into this now, and as soon as someone tells me I can confirm any information once we get some I will update you all.

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:21 pm   31

Oh my what a terrible update lol

So America got Bomberman last week, where is ours? America is getting Metal Gear Solid today where is ours? Seriously SCEE are a joke.

Whilst it’s quiet why not see if there’s any of the launch games you might have missed: http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2009/06/18/psn-the-first-10-games/

zephyr34 18 June, 2009 @ 12:21 pm   33

I don’t still see FFVII in French, I hope we’re not going to wait one week more …

Silent_Gig 18 June, 2009 @ 12:22 pm   34

What! wheres my NUMBLAST >:/

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:23 pm   35

Going to have to buy an American points card today and buy some games. Was hoping to play Bomberman tonight and maybe some Metal Gear Solid so off to ebay I go.

Linconan 18 June, 2009 @ 12:23 pm   36

Wheres Ghostbusters demo?
…*sigh.

Damn, i was hoping to get my hands on it before release.
Oh well, better luck next time guys.

Gambe1984 18 June, 2009 @ 12:24 pm   37

little disappointed this week considering the mammoth 2 weeks america got, we miss out on bomberman and MGS :( not a happy bunny

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 12:27 pm

We did have two great weeks previously too I hope you’ll agree, but I appreciate that this week is a slow one for content.

[DELETED]?!?!… where’s Bomberman Ultra, Metal Gear Solid and Fat Princess?

SCEE, please get your act together!

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:25 pm   39

Can someone answer this question please?

When Jack Tretton promised 50 PSone games for PSN did he mean America only? As 50 games for the rest of the year would have been 2 a week and we have had one in four weeks.

Certainly the best update so far.

TheNarrator 18 June, 2009 @ 12:27 pm   41

the liveries are cool to have, be picking up that for sure. not the biggest update, but theres always going to be weeks like that, still some nice stuff in there though (mini ninjas ftw).

although maybe you could have taken a game from last week and plopped it in this week instead, as understandably some people see having bulging-full updates one week and not-so-full ones the week after as a bit inconsistant.

ok ok, im just a little sad theres no Bomberman… but theres always next week :D.

smokeypsd 18 June, 2009 @ 12:29 pm   42

rofl @ aat08

Stud_Kick_Ass 18 June, 2009 @ 12:29 pm   43

Hello Nofi(from the SixthAxis I presume), I’m sure that most of us don’t really want Launch titles. Most of us already have them and we’ve been told that we’re getting new games and that seems to not be the case here.

Why does the US store get all these great updates on a weekly basis and we miss out every week?

In the AU store, we still don’t have WORMS!! Worms that was released over a month ago in the US store.

Sasukekun 18 June, 2009 @ 12:30 pm   44

You’re joking right?
Tell me you’re joking?
Why does the US store get all the decent stuff early while we wait like plebs?

I know this isn’t your issue, but I’m moving house in a week and wont have broadband for 4 weeks. So, I’ll be missing it when Fat Princess, Bomberman and MGS finally hit.

Come on Sony EU, my PS3 can play US Blu Rays, so what’s the problem with launching US content at the same time as the EU content?
Why are us EU consumers being treated like second class citizens?

It’s a joke I tell you.

Mr_Affluenza 18 June, 2009 @ 12:30 pm   45

No Fat Princess makes me sad…

This week is a lame week…only the livery pack to look forward to…meh.

@Stud_Kick_Ass – Hi. You can’t expect stacks of titles every week though, the EU Store updates have been fantastic for the last few months, one quieter week won’t kill anyone and at the team at the EU Blog are aware it’s a quieter one and let us know nice and early – go buy Ghostbusters or something, seriously. :)

Balflearspgc 18 June, 2009 @ 12:31 pm   47

No fat princess neither MGS :/

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:31 pm   48

@ Mike Kebby. Yeah we did have a couple of good weeks but why do we get left behind by SCEA? Microsoft treat the 360 in Europe and America the same. Why are we always left out? Why can’t you say if and when we are getting games like Metal Gear Solid, Bomberman, Fat Princess and Battlefield 1943? Is it too much to ask to be notified in advance of what we are getting? We wouldn’t moan if we knew in advance to expect nothing

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 12:34 pm

All valid points – the problem with announcing release dates for titles, is that there is always the chance that these dates are pushed back for whatever reason. Whilst I have dates for content that is forthcoming the last thing I want to do is announce these, build up anticipation for such titles, and then upset everyone if these titles don’t release on time.

RastaDon 18 June, 2009 @ 12:32 pm   49

Been wanting to ask this for a while, but will we ever be getting Crash Bandicoot 2 added back to the store? All of the other PS1 Crash games are there, and Crash 2 was there for about a week or something and then it was removed.

Also is there any chnace of Europe getting MGS1 soon? Would love to be able to play it on my PSP.

RadioactiveMouse 18 June, 2009 @ 12:32 pm   50

No Fat Princess! :O

I spose that kinda puts a downer on the Fat Princess Release Community Event I had planned eh ? :(

There’s plenty of games coming….just after everyone goes away on holiday :D

john7doe_ 18 June, 2009 @ 12:33 pm   51

seriously no word on LBP druid content?

it does look like its just a typo

Bearskopff 18 June, 2009 @ 12:34 pm   52

Update

–verb (used with object)

1. to bring (a book, figures, or the like) up to date, as by adding new information or making corrections: to update a science textbook.

2. Computers. to incorporate new or more accurate information in (a database, program, procedure, etc.).

3. to bring (a person, organization, etc.) up to date on a particular subject: The magazine article will update you on the international situation.

4. to remain behind in content compared to a counter-part.

Which one of the above is not a defintion of the word update?

Bear XD

(This purely a joke. Don’t hurt me) :(

KelevraV 18 June, 2009 @ 12:34 pm   53

Its been a week since burnout big surf island, kz2 maps, cod:waw maps and vidzone, and you guys expect more stuff already? Cut them some slack, last week’s update was awesome and I’m sure we’ll see more updates like that soon enough.

My wallet also thanks you for not releasing anything juicy just yet hehe.

vinocval 18 June, 2009 @ 12:35 pm   54

You have no promised Metal Gear solid this week But you promised Final Fantasy VII 3 weeks ago, thank you very much sony!!!

Quintumply 18 June, 2009 @ 12:35 pm   56

Why’s everyone complaining?

Stuff’s ready when it’s ready.

Roxas598 18 June, 2009 @ 12:36 pm   57

so whens the stores name being changed to the rock hero with pointless other things no one wants store? pathetic update i was wanting MGS1 but i suppose SCEE dont want my money

Mr_Affluenza 18 June, 2009 @ 12:36 pm   58

SCEE you need to start taking your consumers more seriously…

Why is it that we are always the one’s you get the short traw on stuff? SCEE get your stuff together…the service being provided is not adequate.

The European base is just as important as the Japanese and American.

Disappointing to say the least. All my friends have bought Bomberman on the US store, but my old TV can’t play NTSC games properly so I have to wait till it’s released over here to play. By the look of it, I might as well forget about playing with them, or play it in black and white.
FFVII still not there, without any update on its status, Fat Princess apparently delayed (WipEout HD anyone ?), MGS not available either.
And apparently european price for FFVII is not matching currency exchange rates anymore…
Way to go SCEE.

Where’s worms for australia?

Stud_Kick_Ass 18 June, 2009 @ 12:37 pm   61

@ nofi, thanks for the reply.

I agree that we have has a massive week last week but I just find it upsetting that week in, week out the AU store gets terrible treatment (bar last week). I’ve been looking forward to Metal Gear Solid since it got it’s release date and the minute I saw that release date I rushed onto the PS Store to put my money in, prepared for it’s release.

Also, I think I’ll pass on GhostBusters :P. Apparently the game can be completed within 5 hours and is terrible quality compared to the 360 version. I find that weird seeing that the PS3 was the lead console. I still have a bit to go in inFAMOUS so that will keep me busy till next weeks update.

Will you be buying Fat Princess when it gets released? If so, I’d love you play against you :).

appie17 18 June, 2009 @ 12:37 pm   62

next week update has to be good or else:P

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:38 pm   63

So we’re getting the druid costume for LBP after Summer solstice?

imajinetion 18 June, 2009 @ 12:38 pm   64

Is the Everybody Golf space out yet in Home?

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 12:40 pm   65

Mike, mate… i dont wanna seem ungreatfull because i appreciate all the updates. but man, allot of us thought after E3 the tide had turned. we were not told or given a FF7 date but we were all surprised and happy to get it at the same time as the states. whats going on man, i seem to spend more money on the American store than i do on my native UK.

i know youve repeated the same statements, but surley you aswell as us can see why we are getting frustrated as PSN users. i never mind metal gear solid, which we all want. what about Resident Evil, its been on the jap store forever and the US store for weeks. yet not even an inckling. you know what maybe nice. if we get a preview of whats coming in the coming weeks. for example can you blog a little spoiler of whats coming to the store next week or in the upcoming weeks. no firm dates just tell us whats in the pipeline so we can keep the faith?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 12:59 pm

I don’t see it as you being ungrateful at all, you are our consumers and we have to do our best to keep you happy.

I really hope you all don’t think me as being evasive when I don’t give you specific reason to certain questions, but I am being as transparent as I can be when talking with you on the blog.

CHRIZZYYY08 18 June, 2009 @ 12:40 pm   66

Things your missing

PSP

MORE GAMES!!!
I like the look of psp go i really do but i want to buy loads of games ready for october 1st i think you should bring everygame out thats come out on umd like tekken, ridge racer, etc

Bootaaay 18 June, 2009 @ 12:40 pm   67

Poor update, but it can be redeemed if the Blast Factor Trophy patch is released today – can you guys shed any light on it’s whereabouts? The developers insist they submitted it to SCEE at the same time as they submitted the US patch to SCEA over 7 freaking months ago, yet it’s still not avaiable to EU gamers. When I heard the game would be getting a trophy patch I bought the expansion pack and eagerly awaited the patch before playing through the game again – even if the damn patch isn’t coming out ever, i’d at least like to know, rather than futiley loading up my copy of the game every few weeks.

Sasukekun 18 June, 2009 @ 12:41 pm   68

@ Mike Kebby
RE your reply to Suzzopher
You replied to his suggestion of announcing upcoming content, fair enough, that’s understandable.
But you dodged his question regarding the release dates of the US and the EU.
If Microsoft treat the 360 the same in EU and US, why doesn’t Sony do the same?
Especially seeing as a PS3 can play imported Blu-rays, surely digital distribution should allow for content to hit all territories simultaneously?
You guys frown on us setting up American accounts so we can get US content and buying US pre-pay cards so we can purchase, when you pull stuff like you do it doesn’t leave us with much of an option does it?

lord_ashour 18 June, 2009 @ 12:41 pm   69

Slow week I guess.

Dutch_Rootsman 18 June, 2009 @ 12:41 pm   70

@Mike

1) Thanks for the reply
2) I understand you don’t want to give solid release dates because you (SCEE) don’t want to disappoint. HOWEVER, leaving us in the dark entirely is frustrating, delivering content months late is disappointing AND to top it off, the competition gives us these dates and delivers which is gut-wrenching to a loyal customer like myself.

What’s worse I ask you? I believe that SCEE needs to be proactive, establishing relationships with developers and their European/Australasian distributors (emphasis added) to date and deliver content in a timely fashion.

The level of service delivered by SCEE to date is entirely unsatisfactory.

Torence 18 June, 2009 @ 12:41 pm   71

Wow, great update /sarcasm. Someone else takes magic and sam and max, and we take motorstorm livery. I suppose SCEE is doing all they can to avoid our money…It’s incredible how Europe is the most important and the most forgotten market for Sony. Anyway, other money for SCEA and MGS…I suppose we should also talk about home and buzz space…well, doesn’t matter…

YobRenoops 18 June, 2009 @ 12:42 pm   72

Any news on the Blast Factor Trophy patch? It has been quite a while!

Nemhome 18 June, 2009 @ 12:44 pm   73

About FF VII in Belgium, France and Switzerland :

it’s been already two weeks since you released FF VII in Pal region except us. Can we
- have more informations about why we still don’t have it ?
- have the english version on our store, so we can wait ?

i’ve lost my CDs so I can’t play the game until you put it on the PSStore …

CHRIZZYYY08 18 June, 2009 @ 12:44 pm   74

Also its good to see blast factor fans here!!!

SCEE i think you can see by now how much people want to play this game again its coming up to 8 months since it came out in the US!!!

sorakingdom2 18 June, 2009 @ 12:45 pm   75

FF VII in french? I love SCEE :p
We’re are paying more than US users and no FF7….Yeah!!

Quote from http://www.mediamolecule.com/2009/06/17/celebrate-the-summer-solstice-get-beardy/

“So this Thursday, 18th June, head on over to the PSN Store, and pick up your free Druid costume!”

What happened?

Also any word on when VidZone is out in rest of EU?

Mr_Affluenza 18 June, 2009 @ 12:46 pm   77

Yeah I’m wondering about Blast Factor trophies too…what is up with that?

@Stud_Kick_Ass Fat Princess? Of course. :p

Merilya 18 June, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   79

Nice, Still no Bomberman Ultra? You got to be kidding me. I thought after last Weeks release on the US Store it would be definitly in Store this week.
Slowly im getting mad, Europe is the place where the PS3 sells big time, alot better then the US. Still Europe gets treated like trash. Cant understand that.

CHRIZZYYY08 18 June, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   80

@Cyanat

Thats a good point, has something gone wrong there?

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:48 pm   81

@Mike

Thanks for the reply.

Why is the druid costume coming after the summer solstice?

I see on PEGI’s website that there over 20 PSone games rated for PSN that we still haven’t seen released?

Just an idea would be to say that PSone games are coming and give us a few at a time rather than drip feed us on rubbish

Hey, where’s the Blast Factor trophy patch?
As someone before me said, as long as we don’t get this and the Last guy patch, I won’t buy a game from the store.
If there isn’t even guaranteed post release support, why bother?

I just hope SCEE recognizes that there are a LOT of people who are not content with the servce we recieve in Europe compared to the US.

Also, prepaid PSN cards anyone?

Mouldywart 18 June, 2009 @ 12:50 pm   83

Living in Europe sucks. Companys like sony and microsoft pretend we dont exist sometimes. And why oh why can’t fat princess be released when it is being released in new zealand, another PAL area?

It must be lunchtime – I just read one of the videos as
Mini Ninjas doused in Vinaigrette.
Mmmmmm, mini ninjas.

CHRIZZYYY08 18 June, 2009 @ 12:51 pm   85

This update also doesn’t help me

I dont have rockband or gutair hero or motorstorm 2

so i’ve only got to look forward to a wallpaper and i won’t use that because i have a killzone 2 theme xD

Mr_Affluenza 18 June, 2009 @ 12:51 pm   86

Europe is like the cousin no one likes to talk to or see…

Kenshin71 18 June, 2009 @ 12:51 pm   87

Is there any chance of seeing more full game downloads on PSN in the same vein as Burnout Paradise? Really wish someone from Sony would comment on this, either yay or nay.

In fact you should have a Q&A session with someone in Sony management, Andrew House or someone. Sure PS3 owners would have some good questions and suggestions.

Lanod35 18 June, 2009 @ 12:52 pm   88

Where is FFVII for french store?

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:52 pm   89

Horrible thought but aren’t we meant to have the Fallout 3 DLC in June? Next week is the last week of June, how much do we wanna bet America get it and we don’t?

horacehogarth 18 June, 2009 @ 12:52 pm   90

Thats just the point, you shouldn’t have ‘slow weeks’.. weeks like now when there’s hardly any new full priced games released are ideal for you to release demos or downloadable games. Honestly someone at SCEE needs to engage their common sense chip, the last game i bought was Infamous and the next one i’ll get is probably Batman so this week i would gladly have bought Fat Princess, MGS or Bomberman etc. The best way to keep people shopping on the PSN is by putting up great content consistently week after week. Also instead of everyone having to scour the internet every thursday morning can’t you at least release some kind of list giving us an idea of whats coming and when. When will be get Wipeout Fury DLC, Motorstorm PR DLC, Fat Princess, MGS, Bomberman, Trine etc. If i know when these are coming i can set aside money for them for a start!

JordanBlack68 18 June, 2009 @ 12:53 pm   91

There is no content at all?

GhostViper 18 June, 2009 @ 12:53 pm   92

Wow, why so early? Didn’t expect it for 4-5 hours.
Hmm, people always take rumours for confirmations. They should stop with that.

Stud_Kick_Ass 18 June, 2009 @ 12:53 pm   93

@ Nofi, I’ll have to add you then so we can play :).

@ Mike, thanks for the reply. I’m guessing it was only the US store that the release date was announced for Metal Gear Solid then.

If you find the release date for it, would you kindly let us know? We’re all eagerly waiting for it.

Thanks :).

Dear SCEE

I would like to ask you one question, is Poland in Europe? Why?
VidZone was released week ago for Europe, even on pl.playstation.com there is an information/advertise about VidZone in Europe.

I understand that are region between USA, Europe, Asia, but stop doing regions in Europe for countries better and worse.

Sincerely

Where the hell is the ghostbusters demo that was said to be out about 2 weeks ago?

horacehogarth 18 June, 2009 @ 12:54 pm   96

Talking of DLC can you please have a word with Media Molecule and let us know why they keep releasing Little Big Planet packs that just contain stickers and costumes. By doing that you’re losing out on a massive opportunity to make money, the only pack i bought was the MGS one because it had some levels included. As much as i loved the 2000AD costumes and ICO ones i would only buy them if new levels were included in the packs. Surely the artists at 2000AD could have designed a couple of levels, ICO would have been perfect for some levels from Team ICO and i don’t think you realise just how many people would happily have paid for those. In fact some people would have rushed out and bought LBP just for some Team ICO levels.

Oh and if the Sony marketing team have any sense whatsoever they will put trailers for EyePet on kids TV and also at the cinema. That has huge potential if marketed well. Same goes for Uncharted2, put the E3 trailer on the cinema screens.. it will sell plenty of PS3s.

Pinhead_x 18 June, 2009 @ 12:54 pm   97

wow..
Great update… NOT!

It looks like an early vacation for PSN too.

Spathis 18 June, 2009 @ 12:54 pm   98

This is quite pathetic really and I am extremly disapointed in SCEE. No wonder Sony is becomming the laughing stock of the gaming industry. Our store falls further and further behind SCEA’s one, and still no Fat Princess. Seriously pull up dam your socks. It’s always delays, delays and delays for us Aussies and people in Europe.

wobblyman4 18 June, 2009 @ 12:54 pm   99

where is moh psone classics for ps3 and psp.americans have got it over there?

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:55 pm   100

@Sly-Ripper no doubt it’ll be on the US store today. It’s only a PS3 exclusive in Europe after all ;)

wobblyman4 18 June, 2009 @ 12:56 pm   101

i want medal of honor psone classic for me to play on my psp.

Saygun45 18 June, 2009 @ 12:56 pm   102

Final fantasy 7 FR?

takerusan 18 June, 2009 @ 12:57 pm   103

Where is Final Fantasy VII in french? 3 Weeks later…

Sony will never be so serious as the xbox live.

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 12:57 pm   104

i just looked at some of the classics that are already rated for UK release by pegi on the PSN. and how can this week be so slow on updates when there are games like tekken 2 and 3, wipeout 2097 and wip3out, Twisted Metal, all 3 cool boarders are rated.

i mean im not gonna bother with tekken 2 because thats right US have had that forever and as have i because of that. do company relise they are loosing money in specific regions because of a lack of universal releases.

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 12:59 pm   105

Ridge Racer, Ridge Racer Type 4, Klonea and Tekken 3 would have been amazing releases today. They are all Pegi rated and have been for 18 months.

HostileForLife 18 June, 2009 @ 12:59 pm   106

Disappointing update.

Why are us Europeans, Australians & New Zealenders always left out. I would be surprised if America was left out for once.

Spathis 18 June, 2009 @ 12:59 pm   107

I am officialy proclaiming this as the worst update ever, is it even fair to call this a Playstation Store update?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:05 pm

You don’t remember our update from the 28th of February last year then….I do, I still have the mental scarring.

Lejenko 18 June, 2009 @ 1:00 pm   108

hmm no metal gear, oh well back to killzone 2 i go! @ RastaDon same thing happend with silent hill for some reason

TheTaxMan 18 June, 2009 @ 1:01 pm   110

Just a thankx from me

astrocrack 18 June, 2009 @ 1:02 pm   111

Apparentely, there should be some classic ps1 games on hold just in case there is nothing else to add to the store.

vicheous 18 June, 2009 @ 1:02 pm   112

Hm what a crappy update! I want Bomberman NOW!
Guess i’ll just wait for the US update as usual…

Boo hoo you cry babies! Stop moaning that there’s no content this week and how the US always gets more than us. Have you forgotten that we (in Europe) got VidZone, only last week. Remember that’s not even available in the US. You’re not telling me you’re bored of all 10,000 music videos already, are you?!

DarkVincent07 18 June, 2009 @ 1:03 pm   114

What happened to Fat Princess being a matter of ‘days’ away Y_Y

ive got to learn not to get my hopes up…

Waiting another week = painful.

People WANT TO BUY STUFF, lol. aka, spend moneyy

HostileForLife 18 June, 2009 @ 1:03 pm   115

@reakt

But it uses up a lot of the monthly downloads :P

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 1:03 pm   116

@reakt I dunno I bought my PS3 to play games. I have Sky for music videos.

vicheous 18 June, 2009 @ 1:04 pm   117

@reakt

Not true that Europe got Vidzone! Only a select few countries did!
It’s not true saying EU got vidzone because only a few countries did!

Spathis 18 June, 2009 @ 1:04 pm   118

@reakt post 112. Boo hoo yourself, the Americans have a Video store, Vidzone was just to make things even. They still get games months before us, and their PSstore is better.

Sasukekun 18 June, 2009 @ 1:04 pm   119

I love this selective deafness/muteness or even blindness that Sony EU has regarding the whole US and other store content distribution thing.

Come on guys can we ever have an answer (if you wonder what I’m asking please refer to my posts at 67 and 43.

Torence 18 June, 2009 @ 1:04 pm   120

@reakt= you’re right man! In US they only have the video service store, resident evil ps1, home with a lot of more spaces…am i supposed to go on?

Cyanat 18 June, 2009 @ 1:05 pm   121

@reakt: EU did NOT get VidZone! only a few countries in EU.

ajrobson 18 June, 2009 @ 1:05 pm   122

@ Mike PLEASE PLEASE CAN YOU TELL US IF THE BLAST FACTOR TROPHIES ARE EVER COMING OUT IN EUROPE!!!

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:08 pm

Yes they are, I don’t have a specific date as yet, but I have been told they are coming, sorry I can’t be more specific at the moment.

PsYcHoMaNtYs 18 June, 2009 @ 1:05 pm   123

Waiting for Fat Princess and Trine one more week :(

FF7 in the french store ??? This time there is no doubt, this game is definitly inside the SCEE’s cimeterry like Silent Hill, Crash Bandicoot 2,…
Take care SCEE, soon there will be more “R.I.P. games” than “available games”…

west1980 18 June, 2009 @ 1:06 pm   125

aww god! dissapointment once again by scee.if scea can keep good content on there store week after week month after month..why cant scee? I though things where gona stay like that with store updates we have been getting? bitter dissapointed in todays upadate! well thats if you can call it a update lol.

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:07 pm   126

@mike, thanks for the reply mate. and teaching me how to spell ungrateful lol its eluded me for years.

any chances of a blog of future titles that are in the works for us EU guys, i mean i can take a guess we aint gonna get the tekkens until tekken 6 is due out.

i just noticed how bad my spelling is on my last post LOL!

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:09 pm

    Haha – no worries.

I will look into what I can do about that, I’d like to be able to do such posts, it’s just again I’m scared to announce dates, when they are subject to change ;)

scs1965 18 June, 2009 @ 1:07 pm   127

Okay, it’s a little bleak this week but guys please give SCEE some slack! We had an awesome update last week so you should all be at least somewhat forgiving that it’s a little bare this week. I too am a little bit dissapointed with the lag time between the two stores, but i’m sure this will be resolved in the future. By the way, do you guys know if we can expect operation anchorage next week? Bethesda said late june and there is only 1 more update in june left, so any confermation?

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 1:07 pm   128

When are we even getting a real video store over here? Surely with the store on PSP in America now Europe should be getting some love? I have 500gb of space and money in the bank. Come on SCEE give me something to buy each week

HostileForLife 18 June, 2009 @ 1:08 pm   129

With this kind of bad content for the European Store, they should allow us to buy content from the US store or even have currency exchangers just so we can buy content off the US Store.

adz2k7 18 June, 2009 @ 1:09 pm   130

I want to get a couple of the Rock Band tracks but when I go into the Rock Band section on the ‘Latest’ tab, there’s nothing there and it just says ‘No content was found’ at the bottom :(

Any idea what’s up?

-Ad-

takerusan 18 June, 2009 @ 1:09 pm   131

Why no answers for FF VII in France?

mantez 18 June, 2009 @ 1:09 pm   132

No to seem rude but surely you could have found something decent to add to the store. There must be hundreds of PS1 games too choose from.
You could have even put some PSN games on sale for this week but we get SFA. You really need to show your EU/AU/NZ and whoever else falls under this region some more attention.

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:11 pm

Please believe me when I say if we had content ready for release on the store we would not deliberately hold it back from you.

Grind_Axis 18 June, 2009 @ 1:10 pm   133

Wow, Sony! To say this week’s offering is pathetic would be an understatement of epic proportions.

nechrist_pl 18 June, 2009 @ 1:10 pm   134

Fat Princess ought to be released today.
for the last half of a year i didn’t give a damn about all the psn stuff. just waiting for Fat Princess. it was supposed to be released today, and i’ll be really really upset if it won’t.
next week i’m going on a two-week jaunt, so future release is totally unsatysfying.

so, i hope SCEE realise that UE GAMERS DO WANT FAT PRINCESS TODAY!!1

thank you for your attention.

Rock_Bound 18 June, 2009 @ 1:10 pm   135

Why is the EU store so much worse off than the US store? Europe is now Sony’s largest market but yet SCEE don’t seem to know their arse from their elbows. Also could we get the sections in the EU store to match the US, a list of recently added and top downloaded items on the main page would be handy….

Also why don’t we see more movie trailers? These don’t need to be localised… If anything I’d like to see movie trailers for films from different parts of Europe.

New_Caprica350 18 June, 2009 @ 1:11 pm   136

Where the hell is the French version of Final Fantasy VII?!!

Vidzone might not be available in America but they get TV shows and movies don’t they.

Anyway, how hard can it be to release something like Bomberman Ultra in the US and europe at the same time. It can’t be that hard. Sony admitted ages ago that the Playstation store and Home are much better in the US than here but they’d sort it out but they still haven’t.

And as for release dates. Release dates for retail games are released ages in advance. Obviously games are delayed and release dates change but if they do change we’re told and its not a big issue. So surely the same can be done for PSN titles. If something is delayed and won’t be available on the previously announced date then another announcement can be made telling us of the delay.

I am really surprised seeing so many people disappointed by SCEE and no official answer as for this fact. Besides being disadvantaged by its price, the playstation 3, in Europe, is also disadvantaged by its playstation store, compared with US and JAP versions… A little bit bizarre as political, no?

HostileForLife 18 June, 2009 @ 1:12 pm   139

Will next weeks content make up for this weeks slow content?

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:12 pm   140

@mike so don’t announce dates. just say we are looking into bringing this or this to the store.

or right now you must know whats coming next week or the week after. drop us a little hint.

oh and again thanks for the reply, this is great im having a convo with a guy from sony :D made my day off worth while despite the update lol.

cactite 18 June, 2009 @ 1:12 pm   141

This weeks store update is like going to a supermarket and finding nothing but a couple of pieces of stale bread and a rotten carrot on the shelves!
:(

EthaN2k7 18 June, 2009 @ 1:13 pm   142

Any word on Fallout 3 DLC? :)

Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:13 pm   143

UPDATE REGARDING FFVII (for French users)

The French version has been submitted again, however it is going through a final QA to ensure that it works before we release it onto the store, I understand your frustration, and I cannot guarantee it will be with you next week, but we are hopeful it will be.

Pathetic Content!

Why don’t you give release dates to stop dissapointment. I think I’ll leave Fat Princess now, I’ve lost my appatite!

Well Done Sony! Another reason to hate you after YLOD!

Samii

serendipiddy 18 June, 2009 @ 1:14 pm   145

Yay! updates!!

@48 yes, crash 2 would be awesome, was on the store but dissappeared..? I was gona download it but it vanished.. thanks to you Mike for looking into that ;)

Also, just like to share my opinion.
When I got a ps3 I was like “Wow, what great games” then I got a psp, waited for Silent Hill and WipeOut and I was happy. Since then, every update, every game release has seemed like a bonus. It’s amazing how much there is coming out – It’s mind blowing.

Ever since then I look forward to Friday mornings (in NZ btw), loading up to see something new. It’s like every day is my Birthday. All this stuff that I didn’t even ask for.

Sony you had a two awesome products, and you just keep spoiling us with content. Even if there isn’t anything that appeals to me some weeks, it’s just like “Wow, you did this for me?” Thank you for the weekly buzz, and all the effort you guys put in to each and every week :)

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:15 pm   146

@samii… wow hate… thats such a strong word. i hope i wasnt as mean lol.

Stud_Kick_Ass 18 June, 2009 @ 1:16 pm   147

Well thanks for giving an update about FFVII in France. Could we get an update about when Metal Gear Solid will be coming to the store?

Rolodzeo 18 June, 2009 @ 1:16 pm   148

Waiting for MGS… :/

takerusan 18 June, 2009 @ 1:17 pm   149

Thanks for your update about FF VII.

thorgrimm 18 June, 2009 @ 1:17 pm   150

My metal gear solid dream splatted…
if the americans get it..i will be angry
…ff7 was never rated by pegi
so mgs 1 could be released without pegi either

Sasukekun 18 June, 2009 @ 1:17 pm   151

Mike
Not to want to sound so demanding.
But when can we expect to see other territories stores on a par with the American store?
We always seem to be behind, why is it that we can play import titles from any other country, yet digital distribution is lagging behind in all other territories bar the US?

And when are we getting the movie store? Why are non-US territories treated like lepers while the US is treated like a king?

Surely an answer wouldn’t kill you? I’ve noticed you’ve taken the time to submit humorous replies to others.

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:22 pm

Hi Sasukekun – It’s not that I don’t want to reply to you, I’m just not able to give you the answers you want to hear I’m sure.

The submission process for all stores is separate, therefore there will be differences in release dates, as each region has it’s own QA process. There are many additional things that need to be checked for content appearing in the EU which is why content does seem to be delayed in appearing on the US store and then coming to the EU. This has been improving since we first launched the store, but I appreciate that as consumers you don’t want to know the reason why, you just want to see the content on the store. I’m sure we wil keep seeing such discrepancies reduce, but until that happens, please keep giving me your feedback :)

As for the movie store, once I have some answers I will let you know, but I don’t have any news at the moment I’m afraid.

budmuhnquai 18 June, 2009 @ 1:18 pm   152

Now, what was it we were told a month ago?

“The Ghostbusters demo will be out right after E3 ends”, or something to that effect. So, um… well… Where is it?

PSN updates are getting worse by the month. I just hope we’re not going to be given demos for Assassin’s Creed 2 and Uncharted 2, weeks after they’re released. Because I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THEM.

Don’t make me go back to Xbox Live!

Cyanat 18 June, 2009 @ 1:18 pm   153

wow it seems you’re really are getting some answers Mike nice work :) so any word on the LBP druid?

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:18 pm   154

unless we aint getting metal gear solid because there working on giving us the VR missions aswell. a little bonus for the EU waiting longer. wink wink nudge nudge to mike.

john7doe_ 18 June, 2009 @ 1:19 pm   155

yeah the druid is all I’m feeling annoyed by as, to be fair, was the only thing “confirmed” for this week

Gruddster 18 June, 2009 @ 1:19 pm   156

I feel sorry for you Mike.

Having to put up with all these comments.

The update does kinda suck though ;)

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:26 pm

It goes with the job, and I was more than happy to be the one to stick his neck out on the blog so don’t feel sorry for me ;)

To be serious though, there’s no harm in people leaving honest comments about the store, feedback is appreciated, especially when it’s constructive. The blog is a great tool for communication with you all, so when you want to say thanks, vent, or just ask questions, the comment box is there for you to do so.

Thanks for FF VII update. It had been a long time since we waited for an answer, even rough.

GTR34mh 18 June, 2009 @ 1:20 pm   158

*snore*

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 1:21 pm   159

@Mike you have my deepest sympathy.

I still remember the 28th Feb 2008 – that went down well on threespeech! lol

Just a polite word to my fellow blog users – I know it’s a (small) chore, but do Mike a favour and read some of his other comments so he’s doesn’t have to repeat the same thing over & over.

Also, I appreciate English isn’t everyone’s first language, but I would imagine you are more likely to get a response to your question if you ask things in a polite & respectful way.

I am not particularly defending SCEE or anything like that, just hoping for a bit of perspective from people so it doesn’t turn into a slanging match (which wouldn’t help anyone in the long run) – remember we are trying to ‘build’ on our relationship with SCEE and third party devs.

Cheers

shazza49 18 June, 2009 @ 1:21 pm   160

i dont know why anyone even bothers with a ps3 in europe coz we get treated like crap all the time . mike stop making excuses you guys always try fob us off after updates come out and we get shafted every week , ps3 will never catch the 360 or wii with crap like this happening with your biggest userbase . what a joke the scee team are

makingdamage 18 June, 2009 @ 1:22 pm   161

Yup, a pretty thin week this one. Since Battlefield 1943 is going to be released this month and we still haven´t seen it, would it be safe to say that we can download it next Thursday (since it´s the last Thursday this month)?

Also, will the last guy DLC be released in Europe??

RadioactiveMouse 18 June, 2009 @ 1:22 pm   162

Would it be possible to have a time frame for PSN games to come out from the EU Blog? As most people read dates announced for America and assume we will get the same.

For example :

Fat Princess – In the last 2 weeks of June

Battlefield 1943 – Last week of June early July

Or a similar thing to what TedTheDog does with Home.

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:29 pm

Let me see what I can do about that, it’s a more than reasonable request.

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:24 pm   163

@shazza49, no one wants it to be wii or 360. we want to be equal to playstation worldwide.

Balflearspgc 18 June, 2009 @ 1:24 pm   164

About the trophies of blast factor, i talked to the company back in december, and thet said they were gonna release the patch for europe soon, but then, 7 months after the patch still isn’t there, i’d say something is wrong.

Roxas598 18 June, 2009 @ 1:24 pm   165

@ thorgrimm the US are 100% getting mgs1 today it was confirmed by konami themselves and i shall be buying it of there store. tbh i think its time for SCEUK

BenX42316 18 June, 2009 @ 1:25 pm   166

Where’s our Bomberman Ultra????!!!!!!

makingdamage 18 June, 2009 @ 1:25 pm   167

Ok, forget my last question. I saw you already answered that one :-)

@Rossthebassist

When your PS3 dies for no reason (I followed the Manuals recommendations), after only 2 years. You don’t expect to have to pay £145 more!

geddesmond2 18 June, 2009 @ 1:28 pm   169

Man I can’t believe all this crap. It’s been nearly 6 month’s since the blast factor trophy patch was released in America and SCEE are still telling us it’s coming.

We’ve been hearing that for month’s now and even someone recieved an email off Sony telling them it will release in 2 week’s. Well that email was sent 6 week’s ago and there is still no patch and as someone stated this patch doesn’t only add trophies, but it add’s dual shock support and custom music.

Look it’s like this, the longer SCEE leave this patch unreleased means the longer I don’t purchase a PSN game. I mean why the hell should I when this is how they repay you.

Sasukekun 18 June, 2009 @ 1:28 pm   170

@ Mike
Thanks for your reply.
I don’t like to seem ungrateful, and yes like my job I like to see things happen rather than hear excuses, that’s true of anyone I’d guess.
But when it’s a persistent query a small note to say why things are as they are wouldn’t go amiss.

It does seem that other territories do get treated unfairly compared to the US, and as you say, I hope that this will eventually be rectified and all stores eventually brought into line.

Just gutting really as I stated earlier, I move house next thursday, am without internet connection from Monday and will not see the PSN again for 4 weeks. This would have been a great chance to get some money off of me to keep me entertained until I get my broadband back. :D

john7doe_ 18 June, 2009 @ 1:29 pm   171

everything I needed answered except for the sackboy druid, pleaaase Mike give me answered!!! also Mike, my deepest sympathies

Cyanat 18 June, 2009 @ 1:30 pm   172

Mike it seems like you’re trying to avoid the LBP druid question ;) is it because you are trying to get answers or what?

Sorry to keep bugging you with this it’s just that like someone said it was confirmed for today but isn’t on your list of updates :/

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:54 pm

Sorry, I meant to respond to everybody asking about this – I think this should be coming next week for you all. Cheers

“The submission process for all stores is separate”

I’d say that’s the problem.
Or at least the problem is that SCEE and SCEA don’t seem to be able to communicate with each other and sync their releases, like they should.

Arion87 18 June, 2009 @ 1:32 pm   174

Good Update! When can we expect the Sony E3 press conference to be released on the store? The US has it already. Thanks

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 1:32 pm   175

Hi Mike

Please can you answer the PSone games question for me? The main games I look forward to each week are PSone games as I have such a fondness for the system and want to play the games legally on my PSP. I can’t use American games on my PSP so even going that route means I can’t use them. But so many are rated by PEGI and have been for over 18 months so please can you get something sorted so we get at least one game per week? And a game that isn’t rubbish like Bass fishing?

I work in the industry myself as a developer in Cambridge so I can understand the QA process but surely it doesn’t take 18 months to QA old games?

Also it’s my Birthday tomorrow and I was hoping to spend some money on myself with good content. I have spent about £400 on the store since day one and love the games I have played but I would like more content more often.

Maybe you should have a release schedule for us to see? That way we won’t have days like today as we know to expect nothing. If a game slips from release date, tell us and then know not to expect but guessing each week is tedious at best. And to be honest I growing more and more tired of it.

Arion87 18 June, 2009 @ 1:32 pm   176

Can I ask why the South African Store doesnt have Guitar Hero DLC on? We are usually exactly the same as the UK store, except when they get Guitar Hero DLC, it doesnt come onto our store. Id really appreciate it if you can find out the reason behind it and hopefully sort it out. Thanks!

Diablo_Rosso 18 June, 2009 @ 1:32 pm   177

What would make up for the lack of MGS1 and Fat Princess, in some way, would be releasing Tekken 3, Ridge Racer and WipEout 2097 on the store as a late update. :D

timestoby 18 June, 2009 @ 1:33 pm   178

time to go to usa store as usaul lol

Kind of a let down today but im playin FF7 on my PSP so its all good i guess

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:35 pm   180

@mike, i have a question. just trying to understand a little bit more about the way things work.

Why are there different QA in different regions. shouldnt there be 1 QA, and 1 submission process? would that not eliminate the delays in the releases?

mikeyboy888 18 June, 2009 @ 1:36 pm   181

its ok didnt want bomberman anyway them yanks can stick it, like pain an high velo bowling

budmuhnquai 18 June, 2009 @ 1:37 pm   182

@rossthebassist:

It’s probably something to do with different power levels for different regions, different screen resolutions, different ratings schemes and the inherent racism we in the EU have to suffer under Sony’s hands.

OK, I made that last bit up.

makingdamage 18 June, 2009 @ 1:37 pm   183

Maybe the content providers have vacation?

Wright316uk 18 June, 2009 @ 1:38 pm   184

i wondered why the store update was so early i guess its cos there not much on it . oh well , my copy of ghostbusters has just arrived so im happy :)

Goonboy 18 June, 2009 @ 1:38 pm   185

Yup, the update sucks, but im too busy having fun with InFamous and FF7 to really care about the update this week.

hobgoblin 18 June, 2009 @ 1:39 pm   186

TBH nothing definitive has been mentioned anywhere about Fat Princess, Bomberman or Metal Gear coming today so wasn’t really expecting them (though it would’ve been nice to have them)

Couple of questions though:

- do you know if there are any plans to “touch-up” the store so that, design-wise, it’s similar to the US one (ie at the bottom of each item it tells you what it is ie. demo, add-on etc)?

- any plans on releasing more hi-def blu-ray or film trailers onto the store else as that hasn’t been updated in ages?

Thanks

ageha_stg 18 June, 2009 @ 1:39 pm   187

what is the USK rating for fat princess in germany? will it be 16? if yes great! if not… another game we will never get :/

Gruddster 18 June, 2009 @ 1:39 pm   188

I was just wondering what your position in Sony is Mike.

It just says ‘PlayStation Store Team, SCEE’. Are you the head of something? What do you actually do? :p

P.s. Any news about Warhawk 2? Hehe..

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:40 pm   189

@samii when your playstation 60gig from launch has never flackered, crashed or has any glimps of a yellow light (touch wood) you dont really pay attention to people problems. with the failure rate of ps3 being so low i do think that you have a point and you shouldn’t have had to pay for a replacement. BUT the failure rate is so low compared to a certain red lights issue that well sony never had to deal with the backlash microsoft had. i understand what your saying id be upset too. but still hate is such a harsh word.

thorgrimm 18 June, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   191

we have had more answers…here than ever before…
this had become better…

Now time frames for games…

mister kebby, how many ps1 games will be released here in eu before the end of 2009?

vigilante_man 18 June, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   192

First the Bad news:-

* PSP store is woeful. There are hardly any themes or demos or trailers. (I’m sure the PSP sells way more than the PS3).
* Still no Trophy patch for Blast Factor – there should be a facility where I can get my money back if a promised service is not provided within a certain time.
* Frustration at lack of MGS1 or Resident Evil PS1 games that other regions have (would help to boost the lack of content for PSP users).

Now the Good news:-

* I heard there is new HOME content today.
* Love to get new trailers. Always a good way to promote what we already have and what is to come!
* Having a great time with Vidzone. It is still up and running and having a blast creating playlists and finding sooo many videos.
* Already have so many PSN and PS3 games I bought still to play through and complete. Haven’t even had time to get Burnout Paradise Surf Island yet!

And remember: you can’t please all the people, all of the time. That’s life.

WrestleBlog 18 June, 2009 @ 1:44 pm   193

Mike, I think you should resurrect ThreeSpeech for the Store Update posts. At least then it was a third-party blog so no one from Sony was olbigated to respond to the hundreds of comments that flamed a poor update. Unfortunatley now, everyone knows your name and they’re all looking to you for answers. I hope you’re actually using an alias or that you get paid enough to put up with all this flack.

That February 28th update, didn’t happen to be a trailer and a video diary by any chance?? :D

Honestly, I’m not surprised of this mediocre update, after all E3 was only last week and many of you are probably still recovering. That added with the 2 (or was it 3? – poor memory) day update from last week, content is bound to be a bit thin.

I have to admit though that I’m a bit dissappointed to see that there’s still no Ghostbusters demo, but it’ll be out tomorrow I suppose. Hopefully my cousin’s pre-ordered it so I can have a spin on his, as the missus made me cancel my pre-order so she could get it for my birthday, which is not for another 2 weeks… Sigh! :P

Thanks for the updae, Mike. :)

thorgrimm 18 June, 2009 @ 1:44 pm   194

…now vidzone is another thing

…but people or working on it…

SamuraiClarke 18 June, 2009 @ 1:44 pm   195

Dear Mike,

I feel sorry for you, having to deal with all these comments. Although, I do agree that this is a horrid update.

By the way, what’s your PlayStation Network ID? I promise I won’t send you any n00dz.

ajrobson 18 June, 2009 @ 1:46 pm   196

@ Mike Thank you for the blast factor update. Hope they come out soon I love this game!! And I love trophies so I hope its not to much longer because its been over 6 months so far.

Thanks again for the reply.

enormhi 18 June, 2009 @ 1:47 pm   197

That’s a pretty poor update. Hope the US store brings more.

smokeypsd 18 June, 2009 @ 1:47 pm   198

I just want to say that I’m 1 of the ppl which isn’t actually too fussed about the smallish update, i mean come on guys. E3 was great, and I don’t know about you, but i already have plenty of great games to play through right now.

After the stellar E3 period, we can take at least a little downtime.

Kudos seriously goes to how even with the torrent of negative comments here that you’ve been so candid with us (sometimes terribly difficult bunch) Mike Kebby.

Agamer2006 18 June, 2009 @ 1:48 pm   199

Any idea when we will be seeing Fallout 3 DLC. The developer said it would be in the month of june

Chewy74 18 June, 2009 @ 1:48 pm   200

What the hell are you doing with french version of FF7 ???
3 weeks to patch a minor bug and QA acceptation !!!!!what a joke ,tell her to speed up and do their job, that’s all !!
Sony always threat us europeans like lepers …

Hi Mike,

I know people were asking about adding file sizes to content on the store or the blog so we know if we have enough free space to download something. I know its on the US store so is there any chance of this happening for the European one? It would especially be handy when downloading PSone games.

Another thing. Would it be possible to add a separate Demo section to the store? Its another thing that’s on the US store. It would be handy when having a look for any old demos that we haven’t downloaded yet. At the moment games and demos are together in the same section so it makes it a bit messy when searching for stuff.

Thanks. Just a little constructive feedback :)

Dark_Echizen 18 June, 2009 @ 1:49 pm   202

Where is FFVII for french? Please answer about because normaly it is on store 3 week ago and it doesn’t. So this my question: “WHY?”

zKnight79 18 June, 2009 @ 1:50 pm   203

Hello

I’m OK to wait for FF7 and Fat Princess
In fact i can spend my time on other games I have.

But please, don’t give any date if it’s not sure @ 100%
I prefer to have a good surprise than waiting like a child and being disgusted when i check the weekly update with all good things missing

@Rossthebassist

Maybe I was abit harsh. But a few simple steps would placate me.

1. Release Dates for PSN Games. We have them for retail games.

2. Release Prices prior to release. We don’t have PSN Cards in Europe and my parents don’t often give me their cards.

3. Worldwide patch/game releases.

4. Why do we only update on Thursday. Shops are open all week!

That would prevent discrimination and dissapointment.

Hi Mike! I know you confirmed the Last Guy patch, but whats about the Dark Mist and Blast Factor patches? The Dark Mist one is specially critical because it adds the savegame option. Please, can you ask about it? Thank you very much.

About the last store update… well, not the best update ever, but Im very busy with my latest games to really care. I earned the inFamous platinum yesterday and now Im all Sacred 2. Man, what a long game, I can see me playing it for a million hours.

zKnight79 18 June, 2009 @ 1:54 pm   206

@Mike

Can you tell us why we are paying 10€ when an US user pay 10$ ?
And the PS3 price ?
US = 400$
EUR = 400€

Are we ‘The goose that lays golden eggs’ ?

sympozium_666 18 June, 2009 @ 1:54 pm   207

It’s a poor update but seriously guys it ain’t SCEE’s fault that Europe have all these licensing issues or whatever is is.

@47 I maybe wrong but I have a good feeling that Microsoft treat UK & US the same way if so I can’t blame them

Yaskael 18 June, 2009 @ 1:55 pm   208

Well who cares about crappy update, I’m more interested when you guys are finally gonna fix the wallet of EU psn store. I’d like to buy stuff but oh wait, you screwed up the billing system.

hedges1001 18 June, 2009 @ 1:56 pm   209

man i hate the US getting stuff and no mention of europe (jeanne d’ arc) i say we should be able to purchase off the US store so that we can at least exerience the same service.
PS any word on blaze blue, white knight chronicles or cross edge as these types of games rarely recieve an EU release

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 1:57 pm   210

@samii

1, would love this too or at least hints at them
2, again would love it especially if they were in line with other regions we always seem to pay more here.
3, agreed,
4, i think this would be kool but there isnt enough content for daily updates. maybe have seperate days. mondays are singstore, guitar hero, and rockband updates. tuesday, videos of upcoming games, wednesday ps1 classics, thursday game content for ps3 games, friday demos. weekend we rest. and start again on mondays.

kortex 18 June, 2009 @ 1:59 pm   211

Hi Mike,

Have you managed to get confirmation that SCEE will commit the same release date for Fat Princess as SCEA Santa Monica, June 2009?
If yes, it has to be next week.
If not, it’s time to buy a US prepaid PSN cards from ebay…

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:06 pm

Fat Princess will have a global release date, but I can confirm for you it will not be next week I’m afraid. The game is coming at some point this summer, but there is no confirmed release date at the moment.

Cyanat 18 June, 2009 @ 1:59 pm   212

Thanks for the answer Mike :) now I’d just like to hear some good news about VidZone, i.e. that it is coming to DK today ;)

wobblyman4 18 June, 2009 @ 1:59 pm   213

all the best updates are in america. We brits get the crap games we threw at the gameuk bargain bins ages ago.sort it out sony eh, or we wont buy anymore playstation content with our hard earned cash.fed up with sony keep ripping our countrys off, i guess its payback from the japs after losing to us at ww2.got a problem with the commonwealth countries have you now.;-)

@Rossthebassist

The prices prior to release would be key to me. I have £20 on my PSN, If Fat Princess is £15 I could entertain myself for a week with £5 content. But, It may be £20, so im stuck.

BeanDK 18 June, 2009 @ 2:05 pm   215

It would also be really nice if we could get a EU date for Bomberman Ultra…

Stud_Kick_Ass 18 June, 2009 @ 2:05 pm   216

Okay guys, try not to take your anger out on Mike. As the expression goes “Don’t shoot the messenger”.

Mike has been kind enough to give us an update on the French Final Fantasy VII release.

We can only patiently wait and hope that we get another update.

al090187 18 June, 2009 @ 2:05 pm   217

Anyone noticed that there are 4 Spinal Tap songs, for £1 each, or buy all four in a pack for only £5. Wonder how many people are gonna fall for that!

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 2:07 pm   218

mike again wanna thank you for your answers, i know its not your fault. if you do happen to get info about a possible coming soon to EU PSN blog update could u send me a private message on the forums? just so i know. i have a feeling by the time i get back here i wont find my message lol

halljames 18 June, 2009 @ 2:07 pm   219

I would just like to say thanks to Mike for all his responses.

I would also like to say that although I am disapointed that there are no new PSP games or PSone games on the store this week, we shouldn’t complain about it. For a long time I did not complain when walking into my local GAME store only to see no new PSP games on the shelves, so why complain about a week of nothing new on the store. It simply means that next week, there might be something cool and new to download. In the meantime, I may look into buying some game that maybe I have overlooked.

One question to Mike though, yesterday I bought Final Fantasy 7 as it was shown on the the front page of the PSP store, but if you go into the PSone classics bit, it is nowhere to be found, as if it has been added to the store, but not classified.

Also, where did Silent Hill go, it was released for about a day and then withdrawn :(

Wooly-Monsta 18 June, 2009 @ 2:07 pm   220

Looks like a Major FAIL for both Xbox and PS3 this week. I was at least expecting MGS but fat princess would have been a nice surprise but nothing. Oh well Guess irl just go play L4D.

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 2:08 pm   221

If a game slips from release date, tell us and then know not to expect but guessing each week is tedious at best.

petros_88 18 June, 2009 @ 2:08 pm   222

:/

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 2:09 pm   223

@halljames, rockband unplugged is out 2morrow. you have to remeber all new releases in stores are generally a friday release.

indy-greg 18 June, 2009 @ 2:09 pm   224

meh its better than nothing.

LSB123 18 June, 2009 @ 2:10 pm   225

Haha I’m so tempted to “Report abuse to a moderator”
Poor Mike :D

MIKE , YOU SAID AT THE START OF THE MONTH FAT PRINCESS OUT IN JUNE. NOW YOU SAY NOT THIS MONTH.

I PUT MONEY ON MY PSN ACCOUNT FOR NO REASON BECAUSE YOU LIED! THE FINAL STRAW SONY!

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:13 pm

I can only go by the information I’m given at the time, I apologise that you feel lied to, but this is a perfect example of why I don’t give out exact release dates for content, as people get angry with me if those dates are not matched.

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 2:12 pm   227

@samii CHILL DUDE! lol

kortex 18 June, 2009 @ 2:12 pm   228

Thanks Mike for the information regarding Fat Princess not globally released in June 2009.

tetraspanin 18 June, 2009 @ 2:13 pm   229

I sooo wish that sony would scrap this “every store has its own team and does stuff differently”-nonsense. The same goes for home.

Microsoft got this right from the start – every store is treated equally, and all their consumers are treated equally, wether they come from germany, spain, ireland or the US.

I don’t get what the responsible guys over at sony are thinking. It’s like they don’t want our money here O.o I don’t want to buy stuff with foreign accounts that could be closed whenever sony feels like enforcing their terms & conditions and thus losing all my downloads I spent money on.

BeanDK 18 June, 2009 @ 2:13 pm   230

“Fat Princess will have a global release date, but I can confirm for you it will not be next week I’m afraid. The game is coming at some point this summer, but there is no confirmed release date at the moment.”

Another delayed PS3 game. This is starting to p*** me off :(

Yaskael 18 June, 2009 @ 2:15 pm   231

@Mike
When on earth are you gonna acknowledge that you messed the billing system and when on earth are you gonna fix it? The annoying “Funds could not be added to your wallet” and other errors are pretty annoying.

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:17 pm

I’m not aware of any such problems I’m afraid, but I can raise this with the team that look after the billing system certainly.

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 2:15 pm   232

I just want a PSone games answer :(

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:19 pm

Suzzopher – I cannot give you answers on content I do not have information on I’m afraid, once the publisher for those specific games have decided to release a game then we have visibility on it on the release schedule. There are further PSone emulations coming to the store that’s all I can say for the time being, sorry I know it’s not the answer you were looking for.

Tntnnbltn 18 June, 2009 @ 2:17 pm   233

Thanks for the comments Mike. Nothing for me from this weeks update, but your replies have been great. Nice having someone ‘real’ responding. :)

The update was dissapointing. I take that. However, the line was crossed when he said Fat Princess isn’t out this month.

In the June 1st Blog, he confirmed that Fat Princess was out this month.

Really lost my appatite for BIG FAT ‘LIE’ PRINCESS.

shazza49 18 June, 2009 @ 2:19 pm   235

TIME TO BUY A 360 I THINK ESPECIALLY AFTER THE RIP OFF WITH U.K CUSTOMERS GETTING CHARGED FOR THE PENTHOUSE IN HOME AND EVERY OTHER SCEE REGION GETTING IT FOR FREE , TOTAL RIP OFF

Well, let’s all wait for next up.. wait.. NO LBP DRUID???

Aprisaiden 18 June, 2009 @ 2:20 pm   237

… why is there no Metal Gear Solid 1? Konima announced a June 18th release date …

Anyway its sad that PSN is missing so many great PS1 classics that should be out here. Where is Spyro 1/2/3 , Crash Bandicoot 2, Metal Gear Solid, RE: Director’s Cut, Tekken 2, etc? I mean look at the Japan store it has what over 250 or is it over 300 PS1 games on it.

The fact is a this point i know the majority of Australians (and our friends from NZ) would prefer to be linked to the US for PSN at the very least. We do not accept crap like localization (if the US version works on my PS3 what exactly are you doing), adding languages (we speak English and only English, don’t delay content here for countries on the other side of the world), etc.

@Mike

Why did you need prompting to tell us though. Thats the problem!

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 2:20 pm   239

@samii, you know he has appologised. and stated that thats why he dosnt like giving out dates. your not helping. its not coming. not exactly much this week to spend your money on so just save it for when the update comes.

Cyanat 18 June, 2009 @ 2:20 pm   240

@Samii: easy dude no need to use CAPS.

@Yaskael: I had that problem the other day but after I logged out of PSN and in again it worked :) Of course this is not a permanent solution so you still need to address this issue Sony…

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 2:20 pm   241

Cheers for the answer Mike.

clebo_ 18 June, 2009 @ 2:22 pm   242

i want to save my fat princess now!

Yaskael 18 June, 2009 @ 2:24 pm   243

@mike
Nice to see someone finally taking a note. The forums happen to be full of threads about this error too. Hope you get it fixed soon as some people haven’t been able to purchase anything from the store for a month.

Diablo_Rosso 18 June, 2009 @ 2:26 pm   244

About PS1 games. What if the publisher is Sony Computer Entertainment Europe?

@Rossthebassist

I didn’t see his appology before I reposted. P.S Fat Princess may take a dent in sales as a protest buoycott, I’ll never grace FP now, as much I wanted to get it too.

Naeeni 18 June, 2009 @ 2:26 pm   246

Shouldn’t have bothered.

And whys the Ghostbusters demo out after the game?

Just to let you know, I want to play Metal Gear Solid on my PSP. I didn’t really expect it to be released in Europe this week… But I was still pretty disappointed.

How about specifying which regions a game will get released in when you announce a release date? It would probably eliminate many of these messages, although the ones complaining about regional differences would still exist.

That said, I, too, am annoyed by the fact that we get almost everything later than the Americans and sometimes even later than the Japanese.

AcidCrashX 18 June, 2009 @ 2:30 pm   248

@Mike Kebby

Mike, thanks for updating us and answering some of the questions in the comments. While some of the users seem to want to string you up, plenty of us here (including myself) are grateful for the games and content you help bring over to us EU folks.

oh and thanks for FF7 last week.. i love that game ^__^

ACX

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:35 pm

Cheers :) The whole team works hard to get the content onto the stores, but I don’t take any of the comments posted here personally, as I said earlier feedback is very much welcomed, and I love the fact that PlayStation users are a vocal and fanatic bunch – it’s certainly a challenge, but one that is met head-on with relish ;)

Ravenblade86 18 June, 2009 @ 2:31 pm   249

I was wondering how come the store update was so early, think the lack of content answers that this week though. I won’t complain though, after last week I have more than enough to be trying to play.

rossthebassist 18 June, 2009 @ 2:31 pm   250

thanks for the banter all, off to go make random purchases with the wife. lol laters.

again mike keep that chin up. in the weeks to come im sure we will have some bigger punches :D

Pete-Err 18 June, 2009 @ 2:33 pm   251

@Mike

Are us Aussies going to get any notice of the prices for our store too? Surely this information is available to you guys. It’d be a huge help (and I’ve asked three times now! I’m parched!)

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:40 pm

In all honestly, I was wary to provide more prices than the pound and euro as then it’s open to everyone asking for their local prices to be included (we have a lot of currencies used across all the stores we publish to in the EU). It takes quite a while for me to put the blog entries together, as all the information I need is scattered about, and is quite time consuming to put it all together. That is not a moan by the way, just an explanation :)

@Mike

You said ‘I can only go by the information I’m given at the time, I apologise that you feel lied to, but this is a perfect example of why I don’t give out exact release dates for content, as people get angry with me if those dates are not matched.’

The reason I’m angry is because you could have told us without being prompted! Then you would have kept your dignity!

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:43 pm

This is something that I could address you are correct, but I need to check with various people in what I can and cannot say regarding dates, so it’s not always a quick process. Also unless there is a press release stating a specific date, anything else should be viewed as conjecture, and if I updated everyone one an every release date that has been rumoured I’d never get any other work done.

nedubis 18 June, 2009 @ 2:34 pm   253

Thanks for the update and comments Mike.

The update was a bit light on content this week – but the previous two/ three updates have been really strong.

Hoping for bomberman or battlefield next week though.

Danlisa 18 June, 2009 @ 2:37 pm   254

Following the last couple of awesome store updates, I felt sure SCEE had turned a corner in content supply. It seems they did, right into a dead end.

Poop stuff guys.

tutchmedia 18 June, 2009 @ 2:38 pm   255

Major frustrated at the Fat Princess delay!

Good job i have an early screening of Transformers 2 to attend tonight! Take my mind off not playing this…. for now!

Bilbo_bobbins 18 June, 2009 @ 2:39 pm   256

gutted that fat princess and bomberman are both not there.

Us Europeans are always left behind. It’s about time this got sorted out, or we should all go on strike lol

Teabag_Titan 18 June, 2009 @ 2:41 pm   257

No Fat Princes… damn I was sitting next to my PS3 all day just to be kicked in the teeth with a few trailers.

Are we likely to get any of the Disgaea 3 DLC here in Europe? Would be day one purchase for me.

Jonsaan 18 June, 2009 @ 2:42 pm   259

I don’t understand! I thought all UMDs were going to be available to download now and dual released with the UMD version. How come I can’t buy Rockband unplugged as a download when it’s out on UMD tomorrow? I don’t want to buy any more UMDs with the PSPGO on the horizon!!!!

kortex 18 June, 2009 @ 2:43 pm   260

@Bilbo_bobbins: you will have to wait for Fat Princess longer than expected as it won’t be released in June 2009 despite the fact Sony advertise ‘June 2009′ on their official we site:
http://nz.playstation.com/games-media/games/detail/item114784/Fat-Princess/

loxapac 18 June, 2009 @ 2:43 pm   261

No FF 7 in French, and no DLC for Rockband Unplugged…

I have just a PSP 1000 and no PS3, i will buy a PSP GO, but if the PSP store is like today, when the PSP GO come in store, that will be very bad for the PSP GO, we need a solid, and beautiful PSn for PSP for the PSP GO !

neilp1982 18 June, 2009 @ 2:45 pm   262

Pretty much a poor update, tbh guys I wouldnt have bothered putting an update up if thats all we was getting.

So, if you could tell me/us Mike, what happened to the release of the Ghostbusters demo “shortly after E3″? How come we have to wait until after the game is released for this?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:49 pm

I’m not sure what the reasons are for the delay in the demo in all honesty, all I can say is that unfortunately the demo has been pushed back a few weeks.

Suzzopher 18 June, 2009 @ 2:48 pm   263

Mike sorry to bother you again but are we likely to see future PSP games launch for the same price as say Resistance on the store? I only ask as the PSP GO! will only have the option to download and all the games so far are over priced. I bought Resistance day one for £14.99 and it was £10 more expensive to download. It just seems that if these prices stick that PSP GO! customers will be left with high prices whilst those of us who shop around can get UMD games for a lot less. I doubt you’ll know the full pricing structure but surely the games on the store can’t stay at £14.99 or more when the UMDs are so cheap?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 2:49 pm

This is a very tricky area, and one I cannot discuss directly at the moment I’m afraid.

maxikiler 18 June, 2009 @ 2:48 pm   264

FF7 ? Wait and See ? PFFFFF

Sony …….

Cyanat 18 June, 2009 @ 2:50 pm   265

Continuing discussion from post 250:

About the prices… First of all I’d like to say I don’t really care which currency you type because I have no problem converting BUT while there are many different currencies in EU why exactly is it you chose euro and pound? I mean euros are used in many countries but pounds that is only UK. There seems to be a bit of favoritism there ;)

aoiyoru 18 June, 2009 @ 2:50 pm   266

What an awsome update….
No French version of FFVII, Fat Princess ..
I’m pretty sure we’ll soon have MGS1… (soon = in 2012)

Agreed.

PSP GO! means fixed prices. Socom:Confrontation is £20 on PSN and £9 on Amazon.

Can I have my money back from PSN Store. Nothing but lies this week!

JayDee-P89 18 June, 2009 @ 2:57 pm   269

the japenese store was updated with the lbp costume we were meant to get and also bomberman ultra.

maxikiler 18 June, 2009 @ 2:59 pm   270

Go japenese Store and us store =)

barcode07 18 June, 2009 @ 3:00 pm   271

This update is pathetic

nickjd331 18 June, 2009 @ 3:00 pm   272

Not a great store update, but previous weeks have been great.

I’m impressed at the amount of replies you have done Mike!

SCEA>SCEE

Everything is bigger and better in America :(

Agent_Cooper 18 June, 2009 @ 3:00 pm   274

It’s easy, SCEE. If you let me buy games from other regions, you should let me buy add-ons that will work with the game I have.
It looks like all the gamers working at Sony are either in the US or Japan.
You’re just embarrassing yourselves. Why not just close down the EU store and let us buy from the US?

UmiChan_88 18 June, 2009 @ 3:01 pm   275

sony should take a look on the patches (blastfactor, darkmist and the other ones) =P , the fat princess thing well, sometimes things didnt go as planned ^^.

The update itself seems poor, but well let’s wait and see if next update is big and good ^^

StefNighthawk 18 June, 2009 @ 3:02 pm   276

Mike,

Could you check with the people responsible for the Belgium store?
Penny Arcade episode 2 is there, but episode 1 is missing. There is no reason for playing episode 2 without playing episode 1 first.
We also seem to be missing Puzzle Quest Galactrix which is already out in the UK.
There are also a few other games that are MIA including some PSOne classics that were released in UK.

PS. This week’s update, meh :D

Skookie30 18 June, 2009 @ 3:02 pm   277

so me commet is NOW awaiting moderation. fine by me how many more you put on ppl posts it tells me sony cant take criticism, so havein a slow week is justify it does not make sense if you have last week the week before awsome updates then follow it through with more weekly stuff that would make sense & mike you may be the messager we not havein a pot at you, since this new ps-blog euro was launch i did say things will pick up with releases meaning we can come on ere for infor of releases & our feedback & not go on ps-blog U.S but i was wrong, sony has a problem it needs to be address i had a xbox yes it stores is worldwide but got rid of it after 4 months. :)

Bilbo_bobbins 18 June, 2009 @ 3:03 pm   278

@ Kortex: Cheers mate, absolutely gutted about my little Fat Princess not coming home today. :(

hyperslug 18 June, 2009 @ 3:04 pm   279

Boo!

Septimus78 18 June, 2009 @ 3:05 pm   280

Nothing for PSP???

Espiox 18 June, 2009 @ 3:05 pm   281

CRASH BANDICOOT 2.

PLEASE.

I JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU MY MONEY, IN EXCHANGE FOR A GAME YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE.

The_Joy 18 June, 2009 @ 3:09 pm   282

Does this update really deserse a comment?
I really wonder why sony treat us (europeans) like that? SCEE is pointless!

Roxas598 18 June, 2009 @ 3:10 pm   283

also can i ask about the movie/tv store the U.S have when will we be getting that

FreezerUp360 18 June, 2009 @ 3:13 pm   284

i bet the US Store will have twice as much as this crap, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the US store update came with Fatprinces and Ghost Busters Demo, Who is Mike anyway????? is the PlayStation Blog all you do ??? or wat else do you do????

Dark_Echizen 18 June, 2009 @ 3:14 pm   285

French are how long going to wait for a game which already went out on everything the other store. I think that Sony does not like French and that he prefers to sell tricks useless rather than to take out a game for which everybody waits for three weeks.

You can aswer at french guys Mike, because when a french want to know how FFVII is not here, you not answer but if another guy of another country write a comment, you answer.

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 3:30 pm

Hey Dark_Echizen – I did post an update about the French version a few pages back, I am doing my best to respond to as many queries as possible (I’m juggling my usual daily workload too ;) )

Hux1ey-uk 18 June, 2009 @ 3:15 pm   286

The EU games market is bigger than the US one, so Sony could make loads of cash if they were just to get the content available on the US store onto the EU one. Which brings me to the conclusion that SCEE is run by idiots or they just dont care about making money.

Jonsaan 18 June, 2009 @ 3:16 pm   287

Why can’t I download rockband unplugged from PSN?

You can’t expect each update to be bigger and more awesome than the last, the odd quiet week is to be expecte. Bring on next week!

vonhammer 18 June, 2009 @ 3:20 pm   289

Thanks for the update buy nothing for me this week.

“I’m not sure what the reasons are for the delay in the demo in all honesty, all I can say is that unfortunately the demo has been pushed back a few weeks.”

I think I know why,it’s because it’s the inferior version and they don’t want us to see it,I wanted the Wii version so I’m not happy anyway, but to get EU only of a game that’s getting paned online for how bad it looks in comparison,is the biggest waste of money ever.
(now rambling into the realms of off topic)
I’ve not spotted one Ps3 ad since the week before KZ launched (never seen a KZ2 ad),last week I would of done a few vidzone ad’s on tv,even FF7 now on Psn/Psp,and pimped how transferable they are,in about 25 second.

Espiox 18 June, 2009 @ 3:23 pm   290

@mnky

XBLA has games every Wednesday at 9am GMT, in all territories simultaneously. Even if they aren’t always AAA titles, there’s always playable content, and everyone can get it at the same time too. In fact, all XBL content goes live simultaneously.

SCEE’s had two years to sort out their distribution system and they still haven’t worked it out yet.

TriGiamp 18 June, 2009 @ 3:24 pm   291

Something doesn’t work at SCEE. I’m not talking about the lack of content on the Store. It is really unbelievable that nobody knows any release date. There is a serious lack of organization. Sony and SCEE in particular never respect a release date and people are tired to wait. Playstation Store should give the opportunity to deliver games quickly but almost any big PSS game comes out with months of late(Wipeout HD, Socom, now Fat Princess). SCEE should put more people working on PS Store content and there should by only ONE WORLDWIDE QA PROCESS. I don’t like making comparison with other platform, but Why Microsoft is a lot faster than Sony in making games and content?

dimososir 18 June, 2009 @ 3:26 pm   292

SCEE is not even trying to compete with others. They are the worst, they know it-we know it so let’s move on…

Gruddster 18 June, 2009 @ 3:29 pm   293

Some people really need to calm down.

It’s just a PSN update. Sheesh.

Dark_Echizen 18 June, 2009 @ 3:32 pm   294

@Gruddster you say that because you have that you want, in France we only want FFVII and its not here after 3 weeks. If he’s you haven’t got FFVII 3 weeks ago you became like him or other french

Unholy_Light 18 June, 2009 @ 3:32 pm   295

Awsome update! Oh… It’s not the US blog… Hehehe :P

The worst update this year.

Onna76_NL 18 June, 2009 @ 3:34 pm   296

Whoa what an update you’ve really outdone yourselves… *sarcastic*.

I’m really getting tired of the fact that we Europeans are always being put on the last spot by Sony with all these lame excuses! Honestly, PSN tickets where are they? I have a CC so personally I shouldn’t give a toss about it, but I do sympathize my fellow Europeans. Both Nintendo and Microsoft have point cards and Sony has to come up with the smart idea of releasing PSN tickets with currencies. Yeah, great solution for Europe in where over 60% of the people don’t even have the Euro. PlayTV, why only in a few countries? VidZone, why only in a few countries and why in Australia but NOT in Holland?! What have we Dutch ever done to deserve this kind of treatment? Where’s the Videochannel which the US already has for over a year. Where are Spyro 1, 2 and 3, Suikoden for example for Europe?! And then you ask why I use US PSN tickets to download games from the US stores, right.

Dexiro 18 June, 2009 @ 3:35 pm   297

If we weren’t waiting for so many things to be released the occasional slow week wouldn’t bother me…

I really don’t understand why the US and Japan are somehow entitled to more than the EU, it just isn’t fair that they get tons of great content and then we have to wait weeks or even months before we hear anything about it.

Could someone at least explain to me why we’re always left waiting?

Silent_Gig 18 June, 2009 @ 3:35 pm   298

When is Numblast coming?

Killa_Cobra_ST 18 June, 2009 @ 3:35 pm   299

Well we have had some very good updates the past couple of weeks… but this update has to be very very poor! But once in a while is fine just as long as next week has a good amount of quality content.

Onna76_NL 18 June, 2009 @ 3:37 pm   300

@Dark_Echizen sorry this may sound hard but if most French would just speak English you would have played FFVII by now.

YobRenoops 18 June, 2009 @ 3:37 pm   301

Ahh I’m absolutely loving the meltdowns on this comments thread. Takes me back to the good old days on Threespeech back in 2007 and early 2008.

http://threespeech.com/blog/2008/02/march-7th-singstore-update/#comments

Lets compare and contrast. I think a lot people don’t realise quite how bad 2007 was! The updates we’ve been receiving are great!

Apnomis 18 June, 2009 @ 3:40 pm   302

Well said Pablo, can people please be a bit more polite when asking questions AND STOP WRITING ALL IN CAPS! If I were Mike I’d purposely ignore responding to people who are rude or post in caps and only acknowledge polite questions. Also it’s not as if Official Responses are hard to spot (they’re the black and red ones!) why not try reading them first before posting…

For all SCEE’s faults, at least people now have a contact within SCEE that deals with the store update – one that is willing to respond to a lot of people even when we’re into the 6th page of comments – that’s far more than even SCEA bother to do. If you just keep abusing him week in and week out he may just decide to ignore us completely on the grounds that we’re never happy either way!

It’s unreasonable to expect a mega update every week, and it’s hardly a reason to have a go at Mike – there’s still a ton of stuff on the store and like Mike said the quiet weeks are a good time to look back at something you may have missed – I’ve not even had chance to play Big Surf Island yet despite getting it last week.

The fact he is still scarred from posting a Denied Ops trailer and a Haze trailer for the 28/02/08 update shows me he cares!!!

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 3:46 pm

Don’t mention the actual trailers from that infamous week…I’m having flashbacks now!!

almighty-slayer 18 June, 2009 @ 3:40 pm   303

Thanks for the rubbish update, we appreciate it…

…Wait what?

final fantasy 7 ?

AnticitizenOne 18 June, 2009 @ 3:42 pm   305

also alongside crash 2 what happened to silent Hill which was up a while back then disappeared as well. went to buy it and bam it had gone!

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 3:48 pm

Silent Hill is a tricky one, we put the game up and then were informed that there were legal issues with the game (it works fine by the way if you did manage to download it, so don’t worry about that) and therefore we had to pull it down promptly. This was unfortunate, I can’t give any other information, so if you wanted to find out more I would recommend you contact Konami to see what’s happening.

Darkmiss 18 June, 2009 @ 3:42 pm   306

Looks like i’m off to give the American store my money for Bomberman, i can’t be bothered to wait for teh EU store to catch up anymore. :(

Nathrakh 18 June, 2009 @ 3:43 pm   307

Hi mike,
Thx for the feedbacks.
I was wondering why can’t we just get access to other PSN ?
For example, i’d really like to buy Qore, even in english. But it’s exclusive to the US PSN.
I can understand their is an economical reason behind that, for a game or a demo when it’s a worldwide release . but for something exclusive, i just don’t get it. (And when i say, i’d like to get Qore, i mean it)

Ps, sorry for my poor english.

All these people saying “I’m off to the US Store” and “I’m never buying from the EU Store again!”. Yeah, right.

Apnomis 18 June, 2009 @ 3:49 pm   309

P.S. Thanks for confirming a SCEE version of the Blast Factor trophy patch is in the pipeline for Europe! I was beginning to think it was a SCEA only update!!! You’ve got to admit it’s a little strange it is taking so long though…

I know you can’t give firm dates, but at least acknowledging these things are on their way would help cut down the questions. Something like a “Coming Soon” section to say they have been submitted for QA (or whatever it is that delays these things so much) and more information will be posted when it is available. Just to pre-empt all the “What about X” replies!

I know why you don’t want to though, they tried it on ThreeSpeech once of updates coming over the next couple of months and people would wait for the last update of the month something was promised in and then pounce with “But you said X would be out by the end of the month, you lied!”

I think people are more annoyed about the fact that the EU store is so far behind the US and Japanese ones. If it was a quiet week in Japan and the US nobody would complain as much here. I mean the Japanese store has Bomberman and Numblast this week as well as the Druid costume for LBP but we’re still waiting.

zKnight79 18 June, 2009 @ 3:50 pm   311

For the Ghostbusters Demo, the game is delayed to 24 june.
So i think the demo will be for next week.

And i like to read, on http://fr.playstation.com/ps3/ that FF7 is now available on the store. That really make me laugth …

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 3:53 pm

Hi zKnight79 – I’ve already mentioned it’s delayed by a few weeks, so I just want to let you know not to expect the demo for next week, sorry, but I didn’t want yourself and other readers thinking this date was correct, as it’s not.

fictionJunction 18 June, 2009 @ 3:52 pm   312

Still no FF7… Well, at least thanks for your answers ^^

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 3:53 pm   313

@Apnomis

Yeah I remember that ill-fated experiment. The phrase “the more things change the more they stay the same” springs to mind.

It’s like threespeech, only bigger and with added CAPS.

AnticitizenOne 18 June, 2009 @ 3:53 pm   314

thanks for the quick response guess ill go annoy konami :)

Redh3lix 18 June, 2009 @ 3:54 pm   315

Where Blurbusters?… oh wait…. Ghostbusters demo?

No Fat Princess :’(

Lynfiord 18 June, 2009 @ 3:54 pm   316

Hi there :) Any word on Disgaea 3 DLCs, patches and trophy for the european version/store?

Thanks ;)

And good job with the blog!

Lynfiord 18 June, 2009 @ 3:55 pm   317

At last to know if they are coming or not :)

dazexus 18 June, 2009 @ 3:59 pm   318

Seriously the European store is becoming embarrassing. Look a the great content they get over in Japan or even the US then you look at the state of ours.

Also having something on the store that explains when content is removed would be helpful like when Silent Hill was removed…ok it was legal reasons, letting us know that would have been helpful so we knew not to hold on waiting for it to come back.

Pull it together please!

saunderswan 18 June, 2009 @ 4:01 pm   319

Hey Mike glad to see you reply to posts past the first 2 pages :D cough cough USBlog cough cough.

SolidAREK 18 June, 2009 @ 4:01 pm   320

Hello.
Mike please answer why Europe always must wait for content that is in Us Store, where is the problem? Do you really need gap between console like US ( ~8 million more Xbox 360) to fix this. We have enough of this.

Ps. N4G wrote Fat Princess not coming in June )-:

Ps.2 Sorry for my English.

asop89 18 June, 2009 @ 4:04 pm   321

Hi Mike, is that Assassin’s Creed trailer actually shows gameplay footage? A couple of days ago I downloaded the cinematic one from E3 thinking it might show gameplay footage but I was disappointed :( (Although it was still a nice trailer)

I like to spend money but there is nothing of interest this week.

I’ll give you some ideas what I would buy:
* New levels for flower 2€
* Experimental new game by Jonathan Mak 5€
* A way to buy those trophies I just can’t get because I’m not good enough! :D

Dark_Echizen 18 June, 2009 @ 4:09 pm   323

@Onna76_NL I can read English and I speak it not very well, but anyone can understand. But my brother is 10 years and he doesen’t read english so i want to offer to him the game. 3 weeks ago it was his birthday party and I say at him and his friens “You got a really big surprise on the PS3″ result: nothing.

So you know now why i want this game. I already have the CD but i don’t play with it for no break or other thing.

almighty-slayer 18 June, 2009 @ 4:12 pm   324

No Ghostbsters next week either?? :( Oh how unfair? :P

Guess it could be worse, but seeing as i once spent £60 in one week on the store, and have only sent £11 this month, i guess it’s been qite a bad month for content that i am interested in.

There’s always next month

mrplum01 18 June, 2009 @ 4:16 pm   325

An answer would be greatly appreaciated.
At E3 we were told that loads of PS1 classics would be coming to the PSP/3 this year starting with FF7. Yep final fantasy came. Then medal of honor released U.S only, then metal gear solid U.S and JAP only. I love mgs so much! Why is Europe constantly neglected whilst U.S and Japan get loads??? We were told June 18th for mgs, its june 18th now and this update is, honestly, just awful. Also why is it that theres Crash 1 and Crash 3, but no Crash 2??! Once again though, this game is available on the American store, but it seems to be a bit to good for Europe. I don’t mean to be ungrateful or that i don’t appreaciate the updates, but theres no way that sony will keep their E3 promise at this awful ps1 release rate.

WrestleBlog 18 June, 2009 @ 4:17 pm   326

@310, zKnight79, I’m not sure if that info of the full game being delayed is entirely correct. Possibly it’s the case in your region, but following your newsbit I checked Play.com and they already have it in stock and state that they will ship within 24 hours.

Back to Mike, just a quick question if you have the time or the answer, will we ever get any type of content similiar to Qore or Pulse? Thanks.

Lanod35 18 June, 2009 @ 4:20 pm   327

Ok thank you Mike for your response about French FFVII. It is now 2 weeks testing, will it be launch before mid July?

Why Vidzone is not 16/9?
thank you.

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 4:23 pm   328

Anyone heard the news that MS are no longer going to be offering Xbox classics?

A good time to start rolling out some more PSOne gems ;)

Zoibie 18 June, 2009 @ 4:23 pm   329

Hey Mike, any chance of getting the PS1 Spyro games put on the store? I know Spyro 2 was put up a couple of years ago but had to be taken down because of a game-stopping glitch. It’s probab;y safe to assume that that won’t be going back up but what about Spyro 1 and 3?

Watchful 18 June, 2009 @ 4:26 pm   330

Funny how the EU Store team don’t get congratulated when we get content before the US and Japan, yet as soon as everyone thinks the EU is missing out they are quick to start hurling abuse.

Congrats to the EU Store team for all the improvement we have seen this year and to Mike for remaining civil and continuing to take the time to reply to even some of the more unreasonable comments being posted.

Shuya86 18 June, 2009 @ 4:28 pm   331

any news on bomberman?

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 4:30 pm

I don’t have a specific release date at the moment that I can share I’m afraid.

———————-tjboo News———————
16:28 BST

Just when I thought the bridge between the US and EU store was finally complete, today it sadly collapsed due to heavy weight from the Fat Princess crossing onto the US side and restoring inbalance of weight upon this bridge causing the EU side to break away from the US.

ff7 may be the next week pffff

mrplum01 18 June, 2009 @ 4:35 pm   334

im guessing however that i wont be getting a reply. Again im not being rude, but thats not exactly keeping customers informed

donwhann 18 June, 2009 @ 4:35 pm   335

bit of a quiet one but meh,who cares.would have been chuffed if the update for the last guy was there and also the fat princess but whatever.not arsed about mgs, thats been on my psp for months already……….

Midnite_Blaze 18 June, 2009 @ 4:36 pm   336

Mike, do you have any news on an EU PSN release for Resident Evil: Directors Cut (PS One Classic)?

The game was released on the US PSN three weeks ago, but so far I have seen no mention of when or even if it will be making it to the EU store. Do you have any news – no matter how vague – that you could share with us with regard to an EU release?

Thanks,

Daniel.

GigaBowser007 18 June, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   337

I don’t get the French people complaining about FFXII not being in French when they’re perfectly able to complain about it in English…

Magnitude_V1 18 June, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   338

Hi Mike, is there any chance we could get trials/demos for more of the PSN games as at the moment only a select few get them? Also is there any word on whether Crystal Defenders will ever be released in the EU (I know it’s not out in the US either)?

Thanks.

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 4:43 pm

For 1st party content you should find that the majority of PSN Games do have a demo (not all of them, but most) or have them forthcoming, however in regards to 3rd party content it is up to the publishers to decide if they want to provide a demo or not.

kortex 18 June, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   339

@tjboo: Unfortunately Fat Princess will not be available this month on the US Playstation Store neither according to the comment from Mike 2 pages earlier.

Btw, that would be good to contact Charlotte Large so she can update her own page regarding what’s coming up this June. She officially mentionned that Fat Princess will be released this month, we now know it won’t.
Here is the page: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2009/06/01/whats-coming-up-on-psn-this-june/

BalramRules 18 June, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   340

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THE Assassin’s Creed II Theme, it’s PERFECT!!!

daffycare 18 June, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   341

not much going on with this update but we cant have great content every week its bound to slow down some times,i was hoping for a ghostbusters demo today so i could make my mind up on it after all i here is that its not as good as the 360 version im hoping this ain’t the case.

MJHAYLETT 18 June, 2009 @ 4:41 pm   342

MGS! MGS! MGS! MGS! MGS! MGS! MGS! ?????????????????????????????

I am sure Sony don’t want my money! Sniff I am not wanted.

Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 4:41 pm   343

There are multiple themes that keep cropping up in the comments sections each week, and I’m starting to repeat myself quite often, so in the coming weeks the blog will host a feature that will deal with specifics around some of your frequently asked questions, and most discussed issues. I don’t have anymore details than that at the moment, but keep your eyes peeled :)

Tottenhamtom 18 June, 2009 @ 4:41 pm   344

Seems a little bit thin today but such is life.
Could someone please tell me why sony has such a mixed up global stratergy on the PS3. I can appreciate that video content will vary but classic games for which there need be no localisation delay is just baffling. the european versions of home and the PSN are simply an incomplete service when compared to the american counterparts.

Firehawk41 18 June, 2009 @ 4:42 pm   345

Wow, I feel sorry for you Mike, with all the flack you’re copping. People are forgetting that this is a NON-OBLIGATORY service. Sony doesn’t have to put an update up every week, and while I would have liked something a bit more substantial, I realise that there are a whole lot of issues that go on behind the scenes, and there are third parties to be dealt with. I at least appreciate your hard work: keep it up :)

almighty-slayer 18 June, 2009 @ 4:45 pm   347

Pavlov_ 18 June, 2009 @ 4:45 pm   350

I for one would like to thank Mike for having the patience for answer all the negative posts here with professionally, it´s great to finally have a somekind of contact with scee personnel and dialogue.

I would like to ask has scee ever considered to allow consumers the ability to “import” game content from the United States store, without the need to make the fraudulent US psn accounts?

It seems silly that in this modern wired day and age, where customers all over the world can buy products from different countries over the internet.

When we can import physical ps3 games from other regions and play them, Why can´t we do this with dlc and other psn content?

I for one don´t need localisations and translations if the content is already available in english.
I speak and read english fine, infact everyone from scandinavian countries are taught in school english as their second or third language,
hardly any game ever is dubbed or translated in scandinavia, unlike France or Germany.

P.S Do you know if Demons Soul or Afrika are to be published in Europe?

kortex 18 June, 2009 @ 4:47 pm   351

@GigaBowser007: The same way I don’t get non UK people playing FFVII as it’s not available on their Playstation Network.
The French users don’t have FFVII at all: neither in French nor English.

killohurtsking 18 June, 2009 @ 4:50 pm   352

umm i know its been pushed out of june D: but any chance of a Fat princess release date

Hi SCEE,

If you look at Threespeech’s archives you’ll see I’ve been less than complimentary about you in the past.

I wanted to post on here after hearing via TheSixthAxis the roasting your getting for not doing the impossible and maintaining the amount of content we’ve been treated to for the last few weeks.

Shame on you for not getting E3 extended and conjuring new games out of thin air for us to have demos for each week. How can you look at yourselves in the mirror??? ;)

Seriously, when this old whiner comes on here to say I’m happy with how things have been going for some time now (i.e. my US visa card has not been used on the US store for a while now) then your doing something right!

And thank you for the EU blog, it was sometime coming but such a massive improvement from the past.

Credit where credit is due and please remember among all the crap posted here someone likes you!

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 4:51 pm   354

@Pavlov

I think it’s a question of licensing. e.g. if EA has the rights to publish a game in the US, they may not necessarily own the rights to publish in the EU.

Say for arguments sake that Ubisoft held the rights to publish the same game in Europe, Ubisoft might be a bit annoyed that people were buying the EA ‘version’ in Europe.

There would probably be all kinds of legal wranglings with that one – even if Ubisoft had no intention of bringing out the game in Europe.

Where is Vidzone available right now Mr. Kebby? Just the UK? Thank’s in advance.

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 4:54 pm   356

continuing from my last post…you also have the fact that content released in the US has been rated for release in the US, whereas in Europe there are loads of different ratings bodies to pass through if you want to release in all EU countries.

DonDepre 18 June, 2009 @ 4:54 pm   357

Well, not a very good update, but It’s ok, last updates has been quite good, and this year we got a lot of content (comparing with past year, when we linked easily several crappy update weeks).

And… my question.

Vidzone videos will be updated in a weekly basis (or similar)? And the program? I’m sure that you received enough feedback about the interface and searching speed problems.

ShogunDarius 18 June, 2009 @ 4:56 pm   358

Hey mike shogun again, i was going to lambast about the update but i’ve been beaten to it, i must admit it is rather woeful one of the worst we have had.

All i’m going to say is, of all the content i have more than cried for myself on the forums for MONTHS like suikoden, and what others have cried for, why isn’t it actually put on a priorty list ands why has none of it shown up.

in the case of comet crash, what kind of localisation can a tower defense game need when its already in perfectly fine english and theres hardly any text in it at all.

I swear SCEE delay things on purpose just to annoy us.

Why do games developers *cough Santa Monica cough* not give us any incling with regards to price or release. Were the customer and we shouldn’t have to save our PSN funds incase Fat Princess costs more than we expect.

The3DGalaxian 18 June, 2009 @ 4:57 pm   360

My wallet could use a break so I don’t really mind the lack of content this week.

That said, where is the LBP costume Mm posted about yesterday?

Also, more importantly, I’m very dissappointed that Rock Band Unplugged wasn’t put on the store because a digital copy of that game is what I wanted due to worry’s about the system moving around too much during play and possibly causing damage to the UMD or UMD drive.

Plus the fact that it’s suppost to be all about digital now with the go. I’m pretty much being forced to buy it now if theres no goodwill scheme to get digital versions of UMDs for older PSP systems, which I doubt there will be. And I want digital versions of Patapon 2, Resistance retribution and RB unplugged.

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 5:02 pm   361

@Galaxian

I’m fairly sure I’ve seen one of the blog contributors mention a UMD goodwill scheme (may have been in the PSPGo Q&A last week). He couldn’t give out any details though.

Croopnick_PL 18 June, 2009 @ 5:05 pm   362

I thought after the E3 situation will change…
I still feel like third world gamer.
Why, we in Europe always get something delayed or never get it?

Maybe I’m little rude, but I just want stop waiting and praying.
I appreciate creating that blog, and what You do for us, but waitning just make people angry. Specially when you wait for your favorite game…MGS.

P.S Sorry for my english.

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 5:05 pm   363

@Galaxian

from the aforementioned post:

“theTMO / pavianexodus: Will it be possible to transfer my UMD games to the new PSPgo?

We know that there are many of you excited about PSPgo but are hesitant at leaving your UMD games collection behind. We recognize this and as such we are planning a goodwill programme and will unveil more details soon.”

thegreatadam 18 June, 2009 @ 5:07 pm   364

Are you being serious!! Thats’s it. I think this can go down in history as the worst psn update ever! I came on here to check whether i had actually recieved the whole update and not just part of it. Why did you even bother with us this week sony, seriously, you shouldn’t have bothered.

ashstampede 18 June, 2009 @ 5:07 pm   365

“The submission process for all stores is separate, therefore there will be differences in release dates, as each region has it’s own QA process. There are many additional things that need to be checked for content appearing in the EU which is why content does seem to be delayed in appearing on the US store and then coming to the EU. This has been improving since we first launched the store, but I appreciate that as consumers you don’t want to know the reason why, you just want to see the content on the store. I’m sure we wil keep seeing such discrepancies reduce, but until that happens, please keep giving me your feedback”

I know this is page eight so doubt a response is coming but was this issue of multiple region Q&A was a whisper of one submission process ala Microsoft in the works/talks for Sony submissions?

Pavlov_ 18 June, 2009 @ 5:09 pm   366

@pabloamigo

Yeah the licensing issues and publishing rights seem to be the standard mantra that gets throw around when someone asks about this, but look at the steam or direc2drive digital distribution platforms there is very hard to find content differences between games offered to eu or us customers. As for ratings they should just use the standard PRODUCT NOT RATED advisory text.

lifford 18 June, 2009 @ 5:09 pm   367

I want Fat Princess Now!!

Alicomb 18 June, 2009 @ 5:10 pm   368

For those who are looking for FFVII and RE on the French store do what I did and buy a PSN card from the US, and get the games from the US store.

IF SCEE can’t get there issues sorted then my money will go elsewhere. As for this weeks store update, lets be fair here if should money milking updates to Rock Band and Guitar really need to be classed as store updates, I mean come on if anything there padding to give the impression you have something to give when in actual fact you have nothing.

SCEE get your act together.

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 5:14 pm   369

@Pavlov

Yeah you are probably right mate – I am no authority on publishing issues, really just reiterating what I hear & see about content licensing in general.

je_suis_mort 18 June, 2009 @ 5:18 pm   370

OMG where the hell is Final Fantasy VII??!!

Apnomis 18 June, 2009 @ 5:34 pm   371

@je_suis_mort, if you bothered to read the responses Mike has already given over the previous 7 pages you would know where it is. Asking again doesn’t make it come any quicker, it just makes Mike less likely to continue reading past the first 2 pages in future like the responses on the US Blog…

Darkos87 18 June, 2009 @ 5:36 pm   372

Why is this so lowly rated? I’m busy downloaded the awesome videos posted.

Can’t we have some more Themes on the Store?

KarmaDim 18 June, 2009 @ 5:40 pm   374

Dear Mike,

Instead of avoiding the burning issues, you should communicate on the FF7 french release. What’s going on ? Guess what, i’m working on a QA & Support team, and i’m familiar with that kind of issue. If the problem is significant, just tell us. Don’t let the people like this.
Frustration now really turns into BIG deception now…

    Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 5:59 pm

I already have KarmaDim, I posted an update a few pages back. Thanks

pabloamigo 18 June, 2009 @ 5:40 pm   375

@apnomis

You around tonight mate? Might be a bit of clan action if you can make it?

thegreatadam 18 June, 2009 @ 5:43 pm   376

what happned to all the film trailers that used to come out in the early psn updates? when it’s a small update you could put a few of them on there to promote blu ray a bit mord. That would be a welcome addition SCEE plz

thegreatadam 18 June, 2009 @ 5:44 pm   377

*more

Jerommeke 18 June, 2009 @ 5:49 pm   378

@Mike

You’re doing a great job man!!! You replied a lot on this thread and all the bloggers were complaining :)

I have to admit the update isn’t that good but what the hack the weather is nice, it’s the start of the hollidays (for me) and I got infamous :)

But I keep seeing that the visitors of this blog can’t read or want to read the comments and replies of you. 8 pages of comments and half of it is double questions witch are allready replied.

I hope you can still find the time to do other stuff :)

greetzz

FFObsessed 18 June, 2009 @ 5:52 pm   379

Terrible update. No Last Guardian trailer, no MGS. Or anything really. Why even bother releasing only on Thursday if the updates are so poor?

Rosco1uk 18 June, 2009 @ 5:55 pm   380

So where’s is the Ghostbusters demo ?

Cortac 18 June, 2009 @ 5:55 pm   381

Very bad.

Where are Fat Princess and Trine?

freakzilla149 18 June, 2009 @ 5:58 pm   382

Wow, not satisfied with charging us more than the US and Japan, you more or less screw us over in terms of content.

killohurtsking 18 June, 2009 @ 6:00 pm   383

Umm i dont mean to be rude mike but the americans get tons before us (not complaint) so when we have 1 game (fat princess) out before them we have a 100 DAY DELAY ON IT (inless its before american release date)i mean loads of games delayed for us but the americans get theres 1st or 2nd (japan) so this one game wasnt too much was it?

Sorry I just felt like going a bit mental :D

freakzilla149 18 June, 2009 @ 6:01 pm   384

You really ticked us off this time. Hopefully this is last time something like this happens. Not a good start for the blog.

Mike Kebby 18 June, 2009 @ 6:02 pm   385

This will be my last comment tonight, as I have to crack on with some work (I’ve fallen a bit behind with all this commenting), but I’ve seen quite a few comments asking questions I have already answered. Please, I know there are a lot of comments on the blog, but you can see when I’ve posted as the responses are bold like this one ;) If you have a question please skim through the comment pages looking for my replies and I’m sure I will have answered most of your queries, or at least alluded to the topic.

Have a good evening, and a good week all, see you next week :)

Onna76_NL 18 June, 2009 @ 6:04 pm   386

@Jerommeke need a tissue, my god….

@Darkos87 why bother downloading while the videos are simply available at youtube. Honestly.

cell989 18 June, 2009 @ 6:09 pm   387

wow I feel for all you EU guys, this update sucks, but with so many more countries then north america, localization can be a real bi***

Luke-UK-PL 18 June, 2009 @ 6:23 pm   388

SCEE = pathetic

ratsub 18 June, 2009 @ 6:23 pm   389

I have seen your comments mike but are you still going to charge £9.99 for metal gear solid with a wrong release date???. or put into account that so many people wanted it and thay had disappointed faces when thay logged on to playstation store, would you consider a price reduction?????????.

YamiAlastor 18 June, 2009 @ 6:24 pm   390

So what is it about the submission process that stops us getting games from the US store at all then, like Castlevania or any PS1 classic the US store has had since the PS3 launched that we still haven’t got or will get.

Yet you managed to get FFVII so fast (and thanks for that).

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe that the paltry offerings we get in the EU store is purely down to licensing and the submission process. :/

freakzilla149 18 June, 2009 @ 6:24 pm   391

@ 387

M$ can do it, so why can’t Sony?

Ipswich772 18 June, 2009 @ 6:31 pm   392

I know it’s not your fault blah blah blah, but when a BIG game like Fat Princess is coming out, you’d think Sony would be able to give us a date that’s correct. Really made my day even worse =[ This was going to be my weekend game

st0rmbr1nger 18 June, 2009 @ 6:31 pm   393

Any news on the Last Guy DLC/Trophy patch. Every other region already has it, SCEE region does not :-(

Tom_York 18 June, 2009 @ 6:34 pm   394

Crap update as per usual

freakzilla149 18 June, 2009 @ 6:34 pm   395

@390
Totally agree, I think it might one of those things Sony does, like adding life with playstation instead improving online by adding stuff like cross-game chat, and doing dumb experiments like HOME, money which could have used to employ a few more staff at SCEE.

Komond_Deckard 18 June, 2009 @ 6:45 pm   396

It’s a bit dissapointment as everyone said, and the worst part is that we keep watching USA receiving better content always, our store is not like that one. At least, Sony could upload hundreds of PSX games, already made (easy money) and nothing. Even releasing 5 PSX games a week it will take more than 100-150 weeks to have them all, and sometimes one game… sometimes no game…

Europe is not a place where PS3 is not selling good, but we keep being the last to receive everything, and that, if we receive. Every single comment here may represent just a bit of the total money SCEE are losing in Europe.

And by the way, I hope in the future you will give the Europe Store a better organization, just copy&paste the USA one, it’s pretty well done.

Mike Kebby, I’m sorry but now you are the best option for us to comunicate SCEE what we want and need, and the only thing we can do is to write comments and comments… By now at least, I’m glad to know you read them, sure that’s more that most of the people would do in your place ;)

Cheggerz08 18 June, 2009 @ 6:48 pm   397

erm, crap!

OglesbyP 18 June, 2009 @ 6:56 pm   398

Any word on Resident Evil DC making it way as a PSOne classic ? Been waiting for this for donkeys and it only hurts more to hear the Americans have now got it :(.

WhiteWolfDK 18 June, 2009 @ 6:59 pm   399

@ Tom_York – Well this update sucks big time, no doubt about that, but it’s not fair to say it usual.

//WhiteWolf

P.S. Another thing I was wondering about – know that it’s proberly not at your desk, but could someone from SONY make an official statement about gamesharing – legal or not, because if you read the EULA there are som indications that’s ruling it illegal.

svenminoda 18 June, 2009 @ 6:59 pm   400

That seriously lacks of good content but I guess we’ll have to be patient and wait for next week

LarZen 18 June, 2009 @ 7:00 pm   401

@Mike Kebby:

Do you know when HOME wil get the Ghostbusters space? Thanks :)

YamiAlastor 18 June, 2009 @ 7:02 pm   402

That’s the worrying thing though, how many people waited ‘next week’ for games like Street Fighter HD?

And how long did that take again? :/

Cutz0r 18 June, 2009 @ 7:13 pm   403

Wow, so many comments. I hope somebody asked about PSN cards!

AaronSOLDIER 18 June, 2009 @ 7:17 pm   404

@Mike Kebby:

Do you know if/when the Spyro games will be coming to the UK PlayStation Store?

Also, if they dont work perfectly or have glitches/bugs, can you fix them with a small compatibility fix within the PSOne game itself?

I noticed with Final Fantasy VII, I have the disc version, and the sound effects can sometimes mess up, but when I play the PlayStation Store version the problems are gone – which is great but was there something within the download to help it?

Thanks

ijeffers 18 June, 2009 @ 7:43 pm   405

I can’t believe that this is all there is this week……

Struck 18 June, 2009 @ 7:45 pm   406

I wanted to make the joke
“Great! Demos!
Oh. Wait…”

But the guy in the first post has been faster :(

vherostar 18 June, 2009 @ 7:53 pm   407

No bomberman or heavy weapon? US got them last week. MS always release there games worldwide so why can’t Sony?? I really don’t get it… It also seems all Sony care about PSP these days PS3 is always second on the list there are more PSP games on there now than PS3 games! I been a long loyal supporter of Sony but EU Sony members always get screwed on content and everything else. US get all the perks like a magazine, early releases (not just PSN games in stores too) and more content. Why oh why do we get treated like second best?

Smegzilla 18 June, 2009 @ 7:58 pm   408

Not a great update, but being a PS3 user since a few weeks after launch, I’ve seen FAR worse updates. Not to say I’m not bitterly disappointed with the entire playstation online experience over here:

Poor Home,
Poor Store,
Poor PSN game support,

etc…

vherostar 18 June, 2009 @ 8:07 pm   409

I too have been a PS3 owner since launch but 360 owners get a new game every week and we get one if were lucky and on randoms dates. I really feel like trading in my PS3 I mean I used to be a BETA tester which was great but I somehow got knocked off the list. Crap like this has just ruined the experience for me and E3 was all PSP showing where Sonys future lies and its not with the PS3.

ajrobson 18 June, 2009 @ 8:12 pm   410

This might cheer people up a bit. Anyone who as bionic commado rearmed may have read the blog a few weeks ago where it was stsated trophies would not be coming to the game.

Well thanks to a lot of people moaning (after all capcom said they would be coming when it came out) it turns out trophies will be coming out after all!

A update should be out soon:
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2009/06/18/new-bionic-commando-rearmed-update-includes-trophy-support/

RomuZeus 18 June, 2009 @ 8:13 pm   411

Looking forward to Metal Gear Solid!

parker-94 18 June, 2009 @ 8:20 pm   412

Wow, some of you commenters are being awfully rude.
Maybe you should know that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe serve 104 territories across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania. Thats a hell of a lot of languages, and all content needs to be localised. So before you lot decide to shoot the messenger, take that into consideration. There is no need to be rude to Mike Kebby, he’s just delivering the content list – he isn’t making the content!

@Mike Kebby: On behalf of loyal SCEE blog readers, i’m sorry for the abuse you’ve been subjected to.

Scooby4ever 18 June, 2009 @ 8:24 pm   413

Grrr I was hoping to get some new fresh games this weekend. I thought or rather hoped that Bomberman, Heawy Weapon or Fat Princess was going to be released?

Thx for all replies Mike i know you are doing your best and its not an easy task for sure. ;-)

MazzingerZ 18 June, 2009 @ 8:26 pm   414

I still have Valkyrie Chornicles and inFAMOUS to bear, FFVII to replay, Wipeout HD last track to get gold in all the circuits…PixelJunk Eden and Monsters to beat…and I don’t know what else LOL

I have no complaints, I think we get enough stuff! or at least for me that I’m father of 2. Love my PS3!

Thanks for the update!

Smoutefretter_BE 18 June, 2009 @ 8:40 pm   415

It’s a small update but hey, great weeks are past! give them some rest please!

and trust them as they say the comming weeks will be bigger and better ;)

let’s hope they also put heavy weapon in the store the US demo is very fun to play! it reminded me back at school playing heavy weapon during classes :P

dan_boro_07 18 June, 2009 @ 8:44 pm   416

Well… This week was possibly the worst PSN update I have ever seen.

Still, I wouldn’t be fussed if Bomberman was released on the EU store… but it hasnt? Why is that?

Ive heard that the testing process for the EU is DOUBLE the time for the USA?… Sorry, but thats rather pathetic.

SCEE are actually rubbish.

CJSgamer 18 June, 2009 @ 8:52 pm   417

can u please display file sizes.

CJSgamer 18 June, 2009 @ 8:55 pm   419

jase619 18 June, 2009 @ 10:00 pm   420

Mike you should state what YOUR role is in these updates.

ballin_001 18 June, 2009 @ 10:01 pm   421

For everyone who is complaining about Fat Princess not being released in the EU: I’ve checked American, HK, and New Zealand psn stores… like the guy said global release date… I know this has been asked many times, but I haven’t found an answer: can you give us the price in US dollars that Fat Princess will cost?

dinosauriac 18 June, 2009 @ 10:02 pm   422

So what’s goin on with Vidzone? Do we not get the hugely long weekly update posts like the American video store does? Or does it not get updated on a weekly basis?

Just wondering how to check when new stuff has been added to the service..

sully1311 18 June, 2009 @ 10:30 pm   423

a bit off topic. but a long while ago Cool Boarders 2 was released on the Store, but it didn’t work. Will it be reappearing?

FBZ1501 18 June, 2009 @ 10:43 pm   424

Not a good update but……

Cheers to Mike for confirming The Last Guy and Blast Factor patches are coming to EU !!!
Thats some progress, even if it has taken a while!!!

Now what about patches for

flOw
Dark Mist (inc DLC)

????

hyperslug 18 June, 2009 @ 11:11 pm   425

America just got Metal Gear Solid!!!!

BlackCanary 18 June, 2009 @ 11:18 pm   426

Like always Europe get’s the bad end of the stick when the is the Video store coming out i want to buy some films.

Damn i wish we had People working for SCEA instead of the people who work for SCEE lets see, we get a an overly late blog we get a crappy version of home lacking stuff that SCEA Home have and we get a PSN store that seems to be always behind SCEJ and SCEA.

O and we get lazy answers most of the time. I’m sure you guys are working as hard as you can and i don’t blame you i blame the Head of SCEE i thought things would get better after David Revees left boy was i wrong.

Yes we have had some good days but that’s only because we get stuff that’s been lacking for along time or delayed when it comes to the release date so when we get lots of stuff it looks like its a great week.

If Microsoft can treat the EU store the same as the US store for the 360. Why can’t the Sony isn’t just stupidity or incompetents, i really don’t understand.

FatScarf 18 June, 2009 @ 11:21 pm   427

Where’s Bomberman? D:

@ mike

i think the work you do is great, so dont get me wrong when i say that im just dispointed with the fact that sony seems to care very little about their european region! when realeases are consitently behind or non exsitent compared to the content in the japanese and american stores, espcailly with PS1 titles .. and it really does feel like compared to other regions sony simply does not care about us as a market.. and i no its beyond your powers to do anything about this, thus making this comment completely pointless other than voicing my opnion in frustration to the fact that our american cousins will be playing metal gear solid tonight grrr …lol

Doiley 18 June, 2009 @ 11:29 pm   429

Hmmmm. I have a friend and he has created an account for the USA PSN Store, buys and downloads them to his psp no problem. The only thing is he already has ps1 classics he got on his psp from the EU store, so everytime he wants to play either a EU or US ps1 classic he has to connect to the PSN Network and change his PSP Certificate thing so he can play the other region ones.

Why dont you all just do that?

nerdlegend 19 June, 2009 @ 12:55 am   430

A weak update but still better then nothing

@aat08 haha brill

@Bear good :)

Lets hope SCEE can get us some stuff next week that puts this behide us

Brendakov 19 June, 2009 @ 1:52 am   431

Hey Mike I have a cool idea – as the UK isn’t connected to mainland Europe how about a store that isn’t connected to a ‘mainland Europe’ one? You can even cheat, you just use a find and replace function in the US store changing $ signs for £ signs! You could even go a step further moving any servers or equipment for the UK PSN store onto a rack of its own and surround it by water. With the state of a lot of youths spelling these days I’m sure no one would notice things like color and whatever aluminum is…

Keep up the good work, kinda disappointed about Fat Princess but it seems that most things that are delayed or missing are third party items so I guess some things are just out of your control. Hope things are better controlled once the PSPgo rolls out, I’ll break something if I don’t get GT PSP on release day (and I hope at a reasonable price too!) :)

sumpunk 19 June, 2009 @ 1:59 am   432

best update evar!
/sarcasm.

superduper19 19 June, 2009 @ 4:16 am   433

Will it be possible to release the Uncharted 2 trailer in the next update?

SeasonForTreason 19 June, 2009 @ 4:44 am   434

I said it before & I’ll say it again
“Ghostbusters demo shortly after E3 MY ASS!!”
Tons of other sites quoted that statement from the EU-blog.. (THIS BLOG) a statement that is now proven false and BS.
SCEE sux btw.

zelamy 19 June, 2009 @ 6:34 am   435

i would like to know how you think we’re supposed to catch up by going slower.

tonytango 19 June, 2009 @ 6:45 am   436

Never mind guys , Ghostbusters is out today in the U.K (at last), have been waiting 7 long months for this to be released.. can’t wait to play it on multiplayer…should be a blast :-)

SQUAXX 19 June, 2009 @ 10:05 am   437

Thanks for the answers Mike it is appreciated.
Could you get us some word on the patches, I’ve seen them mentioned lots but no reply.
Do SCEE realise people stop playing the games when they hear of the patches, and then don’t buy further games as we feel a bit ripped off. We pay more and get less. It happens time and time again, and then someone comes out and says how important a territory Europe is to SCE. They should try showing it.

O_Juice 19 June, 2009 @ 10:14 am   438

god damn i was so happy with SCEE for getting us FF VII but now you have to get us MGS, you do make it hard for yourselves to be loved don’t you, there is a huge amount of hate in these comments.

No point in moaning, no one at SCEE takes any notice.

Vistrix 19 June, 2009 @ 10:44 am   440

Could we have a blog post detailing the European approval process for media content?

I think alot of people would like to know exactly how it works (because it obviously doesnt work very well!).

Geez, some of you guys need to give Mike a break, blaming some of these things that clearly aren’t to do with him on him.

TheIsotope 19 June, 2009 @ 11:13 am   442

MGS 1 on the psp cool hopefully it will be on soon :)

thorgrimm 19 June, 2009 @ 11:17 am   443

BLACK13 19 June, 2009 @ 11:20 am   444

On a side note , do you think its a problem that i recognise half the names on here

Asim90 19 June, 2009 @ 11:25 am   445

Thankfully I still have my original MGS1, I knew it wouldn’t come to the EU store yet, we’ll probably have to wait a few weeks. There is one thing I really want to know though, when will we get the video store? This was completely ignored at E3 and I would love a response.

TheIsotope 19 June, 2009 @ 11:38 am   446

US get everything not fair on EU really :/

Theres 2 games which i really want on the PSN store Resident Evil 2 and 3 but im just optimistic and i cant see it happening in the future.

KnizzleHizzle 19 June, 2009 @ 12:22 pm   447

Suzzopher is right, I’m VERY close to never buy ANYTHING in my eu account again and then go solely US store. I find incredible that SCEE and SCEA don’t have simultaneous releases. It’s just like the loose trophy support last year. Why not just FORCE these companies to do worldwide releases instead of playing “Well, it’s not our fault” card. It’s one thing if a game is late. It’s quite another if it’s released in another region, it makes absolutely NO sense to your customer base. I realize this isn’t your fault but as Sony’s European voice you’re unfortunately the one who has to listen to our rambling. Realize that the problem your facing isn’t angry customers because what you try to sell us is not what we want, it’s because you withhold the things we want to buy.

Rob_Velocity 19 June, 2009 @ 12:22 pm   448

To be honest, I’ve given up on Sony Europe. All my purchases are now through the US PSN Store and their code cards are easily available through eBay. I’ve just actually transfered MGS to my PSP, vote with your feet people, buy from the US PSN Store and ignore Sony Europe the same way they’re ignoring you.

Also, this never happens on the 360.

KnizzleHizzle 19 June, 2009 @ 12:24 pm   449

To me it feels like you don’t want my money which is not the best business model in the world. Sony should realize that the world is no longer divided in regions, The internet HAS actually made the world smaller. Isn’t there at least ONE person at Sony that thought “How will people react to this?”.

I’m honestly a very patient person but this is just getting to be too much. First I had to wait for months for an update to get online in HVB and that’s a Sony game and now this. It’s completely and utterly ridiculous and unnecessary, there’s not ONE good reason why it works like this except bad management and poor planning.

thenextbutton 19 June, 2009 @ 1:08 pm   450

Was hoping for bomberman personally this week.

I have to say I am rather disappointed by this weeks update, but cela vie

There is always next week ;)

FascistBullyBoy 19 June, 2009 @ 2:31 pm   451

Mike,

Although there were no demos this week do you think we could have a demos category on the store?

If not is there a particular reason why not?

RagdollMuffins 19 June, 2009 @ 2:58 pm   452

Where Is Tekken2? Well Sony dont seem to care for EU market anyways. Hope I can get Tekken 6 at least 6months after US, cross fingers.

Diablo_Rosso 19 June, 2009 @ 3:24 pm   453

I’d rather have Tekken 3. :p

RagdollMuffins 19 June, 2009 @ 3:41 pm   454

Stop hoping! ;)

wern_r 19 June, 2009 @ 5:02 pm   455

Hi,

Will be be getting the Ghostbusters Home stuff in Europe? Because I really want it and can’t seem to find it anywhere.

openingdavid 19 June, 2009 @ 5:52 pm   456

Still no news with FF VII in the french (Switzerland) PSN ? *cry*
Well we’ll w8′n’ see.
As I’m a good guy an english release is fine for me too :D
*cross his fingers*

I wonder why they need some patches with new games for trophies ? Trophies shouldn’t be directly included within every new games ?

CMP-X- 19 June, 2009 @ 10:20 pm   457

No MGS, that sucks. Hope it will not take too long for a release in the EU Store.

And i hope we will get a chance to download MGS with the englisch language (like in the german store and others…) . i really need David Hayter as Solid Snake. Anything else wouldn’t do justice. :)

openingdavid 20 June, 2009 @ 3:01 am   458

@mike : well thanks for the feedback on page 3 I think about FFVII. Didn’t see it before I post. Well Hope next week will be available :D *cross his fingers*

dagundam 20 June, 2009 @ 6:27 am   459

I hope SOMEBODY on the Fat Princess dev team will read this message somehow.

I tried playing it at Sony’s GDC US Blog meetup event. And it was a blast to play. However… that was hugely because the other players were in the room too. And it was a big letdown that there was no splitscreen option in the LAN battle mode because in my group of 4 friends or so that went with me one person could only play at a time. Others were standing and had to watch to the side. Bottom line is:

A game like this that is so based on multiplayer and multiplayer ONLY. needs SPLITSCREEN.

needs SPLITSCREEN

needs SPLITSCREEN

needs SPLITSCREEN

I enjoy playing online, but I would take being able to play with the people in the same room over it anyday.

Thanks :) and good luck!

Hi. After several attempts to add funds to my wallet and numerous phone calls to SCEE. I still cannot add funds to my wallet after almost two weeks. Do you have any ideas why this is. My Prepaid mastercard works fine. SCEE have taken multiple temporary authorisations from my account, proving the card works, yet I still can’t add funds to my wallet. The last time I added funds to my account was Jan 2009. I really want to get this working so I can purchase some DLC. I’ve tried everything Sony told me – but nothing seems to work. I can’t bekieve their servers are still jammed with people downloading DLC map packs.

Please help me.

SolidiciusSnake 22 June, 2009 @ 11:12 am   461

Question, why isnt any of the MGO Expansion Packs available on the PSN Stores?

THX

Tony_Nibbles 22 June, 2009 @ 11:22 am   462

I wonder how much money you guys are losing thanks to the “Funds could not be added to your wallet” bug.

It’s been months now.

How long will it take Sony to recognise that as far as online store content and updating goes they are being absolutely humiliated by Microsoft?

The problem that Sony faces with explaining away the treatment European customers gets is that none of the excuses can be seen as remotely valid when the major competitor has found a way to work around all these issues.

Cosy as it might be to ignore this fact, Microsoft release their titles almost universally at the same time in Europe and the US, and when they release them in Europe it’s not just small regions of Europe.

All of this results in Sony – and particularly SCEE – playing catchup, and losing custom. Why should I wait for the Euro PSN store to let me play a game when I can get it a month earlier with a US PSN card? Why should I buy it for PS3 at all when I can buy it cheaper and two months earlier on XBox 360? All else being equal I’d rather buy content for the PS3, but every single multiplatform digital purchase game I’ve bought has been putting money into Microsoft’s coffers, because I’m not willing to wait for some unspecified time months in the future before Sony will let me have the title. And I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Nakatomi_Uk 28 June, 2009 @ 12:04 pm   464

I would just like to ask why has Crash Bandicoot 2 & Spyro off the EU PSN Store my friend still CB2 in his recent download list played it and completed it the other day without any glitches.

I know about why Silent Hill was taken off but no reason why the other two games.

Nakatomi_Uk 28 June, 2009 @ 12:12 pm   465

When will Continus Play be back please as I want to sign up to it since my warranty ran out in feb 09 PS3 is working fantastically but it’s peice of mind to have such a thing.
