Ahh I’m absolutely loving the meltdowns on this comments thread. Takes me back to the good old days on Threespeech back in 2007 and early 2008.

Lets compare and contrast. I think a lot people don’t realise quite how bad 2007 was! The updates we’ve been receiving are great!

Well said Pablo, can people please be a bit more polite when asking questions AND STOP WRITING ALL IN CAPS! If I were Mike I’d purposely ignore responding to people who are rude or post in caps and only acknowledge polite questions. Also it’s not as if Official Responses are hard to spot (they’re the black and red ones!) why not try reading them first before posting…

For all SCEE’s faults, at least people now have a contact within SCEE that deals with the store update – one that is willing to respond to a lot of people even when we’re into the 6th page of comments – that’s far more than even SCEA bother to do. If you just keep abusing him week in and week out he may just decide to ignore us completely on the grounds that we’re never happy either way!

It’s unreasonable to expect a mega update every week, and it’s hardly a reason to have a go at Mike – there’s still a ton of stuff on the store and like Mike said the quiet weeks are a good time to look back at something you may have missed – I’ve not even had chance to play Big Surf Island yet despite getting it last week.

The fact he is still scarred from posting a Denied Ops trailer and a Haze trailer for the 28/02/08 update shows me he cares!!!

also alongside crash 2 what happened to silent Hill which was up a while back then disappeared as well. went to buy it and bam it had gone!

Looks like i’m off to give the American store my money for Bomberman, i can’t be bothered to wait for teh EU store to catch up anymore.

I was wondering why can’t we just get access to other PSN ?
For example, i’d really like to buy Qore, even in english. But it’s exclusive to the US PSN.
I can understand their is an economical reason behind that, for a game or a demo when it’s a worldwide release . but for something exclusive, i just don’t get it. (And when i say, i’d like to get Qore, i mean it)

P.S. Thanks for confirming a SCEE version of the Blast Factor trophy patch is in the pipeline for Europe! I was beginning to think it was a SCEA only update!!! You’ve got to admit it’s a little strange it is taking so long though…

I know you can’t give firm dates, but at least acknowledging these things are on their way would help cut down the questions. Something like a “Coming Soon” section to say they have been submitted for QA (or whatever it is that delays these things so much) and more information will be posted when it is available. Just to pre-empt all the “What about X” replies!

I know why you don’t want to though, they tried it on ThreeSpeech once of updates coming over the next couple of months and people would wait for the last update of the month something was promised in and then pounce with “But you said X would be out by the end of the month, you lied!”

I think people are more annoyed about the fact that the EU store is so far behind the US and Japanese ones. If it was a quiet week in Japan and the US nobody would complain as much here. I mean the Japanese store has Bomberman and Numblast this week as well as the Druid costume for LBP but we’re still waiting.

For the Ghostbusters Demo, the game is delayed to 24 june.
So i think the demo will be for next week.

And i like to read, on http://fr.playstation.com/ps3/ that FF7 is now available on the store. That really make me laugth …

Seriously the European store is becoming embarrassing. Look a the great content they get over in Japan or even the US then you look at the state of ours.

Also having something on the store that explains when content is removed would be helpful like when Silent Hill was removed…ok it was legal reasons, letting us know that would have been helpful so we knew not to hold on waiting for it to come back.

Mike please answer why Europe always must wait for content that is in Us Store, where is the problem? Do you really need gap between console like US ( ~8 million more Xbox 360) to fix this. We have enough of this.

Hi Mike, is that Assassin’s Creed trailer actually shows gameplay footage? A couple of days ago I downloaded the cinematic one from E3 thinking it might show gameplay footage but I was disappointed (Although it was still a nice trailer)

I like to spend money but there is nothing of interest this week.

I’ll give you some ideas what I would buy:
* New levels for flower 2€
* Experimental new game by Jonathan Mak 5€
* A way to buy those trophies I just can’t get because I’m not good enough!

@Onna76_NL I can read English and I speak it not very well, but anyone can understand. But my brother is 10 years and he doesen’t read english so i want to offer to him the game. 3 weeks ago it was his birthday party and I say at him and his friens “You got a really big surprise on the PS3″ result: nothing.

So you know now why i want this game. I already have the CD but i don’t play with it for no break or other thing.

No Ghostbsters next week either?? Oh how unfair?

Guess it could be worse, but seeing as i once spent £60 in one week on the store, and have only sent £11 this month, i guess it’s been qite a bad month for content that i am interested in.

At E3 we were told that loads of PS1 classics would be coming to the PSP/3 this year starting with FF7. Yep final fantasy came. Then medal of honor released U.S only, then metal gear solid U.S and JAP only. I love mgs so much! Why is Europe constantly neglected whilst U.S and Japan get loads??? We were told June 18th for mgs, its june 18th now and this update is, honestly, just awful. Also why is it that theres Crash 1 and Crash 3, but no Crash 2??! Once again though, this game is available on the American store, but it seems to be a bit to good for Europe. I don’t mean to be ungrateful or that i don’t appreaciate the updates, but theres no way that sony will keep their E3 promise at this awful ps1 release rate.

@310, zKnight79, I’m not sure if that info of the full game being delayed is entirely correct. Possibly it’s the case in your region, but following your newsbit I checked Play.com and they already have it in stock and state that they will ship within 24 hours.

Back to Mike, just a quick question if you have the time or the answer, will we ever get any type of content similiar to Qore or Pulse? Thanks.

Hey Mike, any chance of getting the PS1 Spyro games put on the store? I know Spyro 2 was put up a couple of years ago but had to be taken down because of a game-stopping glitch. It’s probab;y safe to assume that that won’t be going back up but what about Spyro 1 and 3?

Funny how the EU Store team don’t get congratulated when we get content before the US and Japan, yet as soon as everyone thinks the EU is missing out they are quick to start hurling abuse.

Congrats to the EU Store team for all the improvement we have seen this year and to Mike for remaining civil and continuing to take the time to reply to even some of the more unreasonable comments being posted.

Just when I thought the bridge between the US and EU store was finally complete, today it sadly collapsed due to heavy weight from the Fat Princess crossing onto the US side and restoring inbalance of weight upon this bridge causing the EU side to break away from the US.

ff7 may be the next week pffff

Mike, do you have any news on an EU PSN release for Resident Evil: Directors Cut (PS One Classic)?

The game was released on the US PSN three weeks ago, but so far I have seen no mention of when or even if it will be making it to the EU store. Do you have any news – no matter how vague – that you could share with us with regard to an EU release?

@tjboo: Unfortunately Fat Princess will not be available this month on the US Playstation Store neither according to the comment from Mike 2 pages earlier.

Btw, that would be good to contact Charlotte Large so she can update her own page regarding what’s coming up this June. She officially mentionned that Fat Princess will be released this month, we now know it won’t.

not much going on with this update but we cant have great content every week its bound to slow down some times,i was hoping for a ghostbusters demo today so i could make my mind up on it after all i here is that its not as good as the 360 version im hoping this ain’t the case.

Seems a little bit thin today but such is life.
Could someone please tell me why sony has such a mixed up global stratergy on the PS3. I can appreciate that video content will vary but classic games for which there need be no localisation delay is just baffling. the european versions of home and the PSN are simply an incomplete service when compared to the american counterparts.

Wow, I feel sorry for you Mike, with all the flack you’re copping. People are forgetting that this is a NON-OBLIGATORY service. Sony doesn’t have to put an update up every week, and while I would have liked something a bit more substantial, I realise that there are a whole lot of issues that go on behind the scenes, and there are third parties to be dealt with. I at least appreciate your hard work: keep it up

I for one would like to thank Mike for having the patience for answer all the negative posts here with professionally, it´s great to finally have a somekind of contact with scee personnel and dialogue.

I would like to ask has scee ever considered to allow consumers the ability to “import” game content from the United States store, without the need to make the fraudulent US psn accounts?

It seems silly that in this modern wired day and age, where customers all over the world can buy products from different countries over the internet.

When we can import physical ps3 games from other regions and play them, Why can´t we do this with dlc and other psn content?

I for one don´t need localisations and translations if the content is already available in english.
I speak and read english fine, infact everyone from scandinavian countries are taught in school english as their second or third language,
hardly any game ever is dubbed or translated in scandinavia, unlike France or Germany.

P.S Do you know if Demons Soul or Afrika are to be published in Europe?
