Hey guys, a bit of a late comment to this, but you should be able to see it...

For some reason, FW2.80 has locked the input volume of the official headset at level 3. Is there any way to sort this out? Because I've just bought one, and it's picking up absolutely EVERYTHING in my room, even button presses on my DS3! Obviously not the best thing to have when gaming, as everyone will get an echo of what's coming out of my telly...

Any official word would be really good to hear, as I've been fobbed off twice on the phone now...

Not meaning to be a Sony hater in any form but 2.8 has caused the system to stop "seeing" ANY disc put in the player. Data, game, CD, DVD. No mater what it just doesn't see it.
I would have thought coincidence, that the player died at same time but I am finding TOO many others out there with exact same issue and all related to the install of this latest 2.8

Nothing else seems to be affected just the disc players ability to do anything.
Does ANYONE have a solution or hopes of one anytime soon?

What is perturbing tho is that this appears to have been reported within hour of 2.8 release and here now 3 weeks later it's still being offered with no caveat.

Quite well down on the list of requests from most people but please can you make the Content Level for games open for amendment once I've downloaded a game? The reason I ask is that whilst the preimplemented levels for each game are quite good I would like to customize it so that I can can decide what my 4 year old son sees and plays.

For instance, I've implemented the Parental Lock at about level 7 which restricts Battlefield 1943 and similar games but WORMS, which is level 3, is not restricted. WORMS, whilst cartoonish in nature contains quite a few language highlights which I'd prefer my son not to hear and think it OK to repeat.

How would this change be implemented?
I download a game and note its current Content Level. Have a quick blast on it myself and if it's unsuitable I should be able to press triangle over the game to bring up the Information (where I can already edit the Folder name). I would like to be able to edit the Content Level to bring the game up to level 7. When I try to edit the Content Level I'm asked to enter the Parental Lock password. When entered correctly I can edit the Content Level (entering the password for successive edits).

Please, please, please, PLEASE upgrade the browser?
My Nintendo DSi has better website compatibility! The PS3 browser is CONSTANTLY freezing, many websites don't work properly; YouTube - mail/settings, Yahoo, etc etc!

The main problem seems to be accidental L2/R2 input of scrolling when a page is loading causing a freeze. Of-cours it often freezes all by itself. I'm sure it can't manage plug-ins etc properly and just crashes?

It needs a major update! I suggest SONY spend some time searching their Official Forum websites ( which ALSO don't work properly with the PS3 browser ) and see just how many threads there are complaining about the browser.

I know the PS3 is crippled by not having adequate memory, but if my DSi can work with a website SURELY the PS3 browser should? Shouldn't it???

It was a good update. It might not of brought more bread to the table but it certainly lead to improvements on the console. It's always welcoming to know that an update is increasing the performance of something.

I can comprehend that it may be frustrating for some people who would preferably like to know the full workings of the update and what exactly it did. However, if they were testing something significantly big or laying down the foundations, then surely you would rather be a surprise when it comes rather than knowing it already without any real knowledge of what it is.
