Howdy all.
Before I start the content run-down for you, I just want to clarify what kind of help I can give you in the comments section in these updates; as I’ve seen a few comments around the blog asking for some clarity on this. I will endeavour to answer as many questions specifically about the PlayStation Store as I can and if I don’t have the answer I will go and try to find out (if I can help regarding other areas I will try, but it’s likely I won’t have the info you want, but that’s not to say I won’t try to find out for you). If I don’t respond to your questions directly in the comments section it is not because I am ignoring them, it is either because I don’t have an answer, or I am trying to find out, but I DO read all your comments.
Okay, so onto the content coming to the store later today – the eagerly awaited Marvel vs Capcom 2 is released this week, so for all your fight fans this is going to keep your finger reflexes on good form I’m sure. We also have the puzzler Droplitz available for you, as well as a demo for the Western based shooter Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (I had a lot of fun playing this game, so give it a try for yourself, and see if you’d make it as a gunslinger). We also have another large array of additional content available for titles such as Red Faction: Guerilla, LittleBigPlanet, Pain, Madden NFL 10 and more…
Also, not forgetting the PSP owners, this week Patapon is released digitally, we have a trailer for MGS Peace Walker, and tomorrow morning (Friday 14th August) we will be releasing Madden NFL 2010 on the store too! We’ve also made Resistance Retribution and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow available for our German users too

Hey. Have you heard anything from Activision about the Guitar Hero DLC on the South African PS Store? Thanks!

Mike, I’ve been wanting Tomb Raider on psn for ages. Now the USA has it, will it be arriving here? Or is it another ps1 game that gets stuck in limbo on its flight over the atlantic? Also, how many days after update day do you read and reply to comments? I’d like to know so I know if it’s worth posting questions like this one late!

Can confirm the Peace Walker trailer now works (not the greatest quality but hey, neither was the HD original direct from Konami)

Mike,
Thanks for asking about Dark Mist.
It doesn’t sound like there will be any good news about it which is very disappointing and I feel SCEE/the games publisher has let me and the other people that bought this down.
Not being able to access the free patch is unfair after I have spent money on a game that I now feel like deleting as I can not play it as it should be played.
Not your fault I know and thanks for asking and updating me.
Isn’t it a game published by Sony Japan though, so isn’t it a 1st party game??

Well didnt answer a single one off my questions but thanks for replying (wasnt expecting that). You seem like a good guy and it’s probably not your fault that sony has gagged you from commenting on just about ANYTHING negative!!. They SHOULD be listening to us the consumer not to mention loyal supporters!!. The ps1 and 2 WOW now they were consoles, what happened?. Are the japanese so proud as to not admit defeat but instead give up on their ps brand?? Was there a mass sepiku at sony headquarters??. C’mon sony you won the console race twice, pick yourselves up for ##### sake!!!!

Hello Mike, on the first page of comments you said that you are looking forward to APB.
Do you mean on 360 or PC? Or did you let slip that it’s coming to PS3?

Face it guys…sony has screwed us!! Look how long we waited for Fony to release the ps3 in europe after our american/asian cousins. Then the extra money we forked out to buy it only to have the first year completlely free from any decent games. Not to mention the CRAP xbox superior ports we had to make do with for £50 a pop!!. Oh Fony how i/we stuck by you through difficult times only to find ourselves screwed over and over again. THE PS3 WAS SOLD AS A BLU-RAY PUSHING FORMAT AND NOT A GAMES CONSOLE. Greedy Fony just wanted it’s precious Blu-ray discs to dominate!! Anyone on here old enough to remember Betamax?? (ie massive failure). GO ON TRY TO DENY IT!!. God these greedy corporations make me so mad. Dust off my PS2 i think..now that was a console. R.I.P Sony xx

Pretty good update…
Hey, i know its only been out for a few weeks but do you know if there are any plans to release a pack for Battlefield 1943 with another map or class any time in the future?
I love the game and would love to expand it further because there are only three maps and it gets quite repetitive.
Thanks!
