Loco Roco what? We know, yesterday’s press conference moved so fast there was barely any time to take in one announcement before another one was made, seconds later. Your ears (or eyes, if you were watching our liveblog) weren’t deceiving you. Andrew House really did announce Loco Roco Midnight Carnival and we’ve got a message from Tsubasa Inaba, who’s going to tell you a little bit about it.
Helloooo PlayStation Bloggers!
Long time no speak, Tsubasa here with breaking news!
We have a spin off of our favorite LocoRoco franchise coming down the pipe real fast! LocoRoco Midnight Carnival just made its world premier at gamescom going on in Cologne, Germany this week. The product will be for the PSP platform via the PSN.

This time around, LocoRoco has a super enhanced bounce called “Boing!” Use this to your advantage and literally bounce off walls, find LocoRoco’s friend MuiMui, and go for the goal!
LocoRoco Midnight Carnival comes with:
- 16 standard stages
- 2 mini games
- 3 bonus stages
Use the Ad hoc feature to either compete with friends, or to play co-op. We will also have leaderboards prepared for you, to compete with your LocoRoco friends worldwide!

Awesome! I really enjoy the LocoRoco games. It’d be great to see another “screesaver” type version what we already currenty have on PS3. I had quite a lot of fun mucking around on that!

No LocoRoco love for PS3 again. Do the people at Sony not think PS3 owners would want this game too? The blog should do polls on this sort of thing, maybe then Sony would actually see what they’re doing wrong.

Any info on whether this will be PSN only in Europe as well, or will we get a UMD, too?

Yeah I saw it on the US blog and was already mentioning it before, that this game looks very promising and simply is an eye catch for on the PSP Go.
@Kenshin71, Loco Roco started out on the PSP so its obvious that the serie stays on the PSP. PSN version wasn’t really received well and to be honest I didn’t find the game as much as appealing on the PS3 as it is on the PSP. Its not like Valkyria Chronicles, making a big appear on the PS3 and then switching to the handheld….

i’d like to know when the winners of the ‘weareplaystation.com’ competition are going to get their prizes, we were promised them ‘very shortly’ a month ago and they have refused to answer any emails since then.
poor show Sony, very poor show.

Hello Jem, could you please clear up something for me? Say for example I buy 2 psp gos at launch. I buy one copy of GT PSP/ any psp game on the PSN and download it onto my ps3 using my main account. Now, can I transfer the PSP copy to both psp gos and thus not have to buy the game twice?

@FatTrousers, seriously just get a PSP, its an incredible handheld receiving amazing games. A load of RPG’s like Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Gran Turismo, LBP, Motorstorm, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Valkyria Chronicles 2 for instance.
Not to imagine the library of games it already has, Daxter, Ratchet & Clank Size Matters, God of War, Metal Gear Solid Acid / Portable Ops, Disgaea, Tales of Eternia, Resistance, Crisis Core FFVII, if you can import from the US, Brave Story, Jeanne d’Arc and the list goes on and on…

I got bored of LocoRoco PS3 very quickly. It was a mediocre game, unlike the way superior PSP versions.
Looks good, thanks for the info!
