Our gamescom video interview series continues today, as we chat with Naughty Dog‘s Arne Meyer and get answers to burning community questions. It was such a nice day we decided to drag Arne outside, away from the noise and the flashing lights, for this one.
Hopefully this interview, coupled with the gamescom Uncharted 2 trailer, has you even more psyched for this game. If that’s even possible. Thanks to everyone who submitted questions. We’re looking forward to doing more Q&As in the future.

That cinema mode sounds awesome. I know games like Gears of War 2 have photo modes in MP, but only when you are dead, this is a great way of showing your greatest moments. If only I could have saved that game of CoD 4 where I killed 90 people… that was awesome
Anyway, I know enough about Uncharted 2 to not need to know any more about the game, I will pre-order shortly. I kind of spoilt Uncharted 1 because I knew the first 6 chapters. I want to know if we will get Jak 4 next year

Great interview Jem. Please bring up the Kitty Got Wet phrase. I could understand not making it as a line, but at least making it a name for one of the trophies would be awesome.

It would have been great to have been able to download the latest Gamescom Uncharted2 video from the PS Store this week.. I found it a bit strange that it wasn’t included in the Gamescom videos.
Will you be putting it up next week?
(and I would also like the Last Guardian trailer from E3 on the store too if possible?)

I want to know if we are getting a Special Edition in Europe and what it would include.
I’ve resisted pre ordering until I know if there is any choice. Shots of a Steel Tin box are floating about.

It’s annoying that games like Assassins Creed and Fallout 3 get superb extras while first party titles get [DELETED] all. Killzone 2 had a steel tin case but nothing else. They look out of place on the shelf so I just go with the standard if that’s the only difference. I hope it’s not the same again.
I would have liked a Drake figure, some lush Uncharted artwork, behind-the-scenes Blu-Ray and Francis Drake ring to wear around around your neck in the house.

Jem, a few friendly advices to improve the interviews you make. Hold the microphone a bit lower so it doesn’t seem like you’re defending yourself from invisible ghosts. Also, don’t forget that many of us aren’t british, so a clearer pronunciation/accent would be preferred.
You’ll get there with practice.

amazon.co.uk and play.com both have it listed for 16/10 in the UK, though tesco says 27/11.
it would make a lot more sense to bring it out before modern warfare 2..

The yet to be announced or even imagined Uncharted Go Karting is more important than a release date or reality of a Special Edition. I still can’t believe that was submitted.

I went into my local Gamestop today and they have the release date as 16th October. It also looks like they are using the Ammerican boxart in Europe aswell

Uncharted: Drakes’ Racing
Characters: Nathan Drake, Elena, Elana’s camera man, Sulley.
Story: The Aliens from Uncharted 1 have taken over the world. Nathan must compete in a Kart Racing Championship to destroy the Aliens. Features: trophies for finising first in all races.
Bonus characters: Kratos and Sackboy.
