great trailer. however its abit concerning that you get the comunity to build you PR material for next to nowt and then give them as a beta key as a reward. i would love to know the process on how beta keys are handed out because i dont believe SCEE when they say its pure luck. I see the same people on my list getting into different beta’s but my loyalty (aka the £200 odd spent on psn games not including disc based games) is not rewarded. thanks for making beta’s a competition as that is really gonna even the odds for everyone.

I think this trailer is very good. It demonstrates what the game is about to the “casual” gamer. I have heard the game is doing well from people who have played the Beta. Shame it comes out next year , I wish I got a chance to have the Beta. I like to give a bit of feedback on what could help the game go further.

Is it just me or does MAG look rather pants? Whats with all the tracer rounds? Not sure on why they chose to show daft bullets flying around everywhere. From what i have seen of the BETA it seems like the average run of the mill shooter!! Hope i’m wrong and that they pull the concept off but lets face it how many gamers out there are prepared to undertake specific missions given to them by their commander? There are too many idiots out there who ruin the whole online experience. Look at the idiots who play COD etc. Plus online only games shouldnt we be paying half price for half the game???

Hi,Elliott “Shijima” Martin this trailer is very good but I am so upset that I’ve missed this competition as I quite good at this sort of epic thing, anyway I’ll leave one line or two,

Abosulutely love it!

Very good speech and a great competition, top marks there. The game also looks very good and it might give me the nudge I need to move away from Counter Strike. However, the actual video voice-over(s) don’t sound that good to me, the voice levels aren’t consistent and there are way too many splices. Using a professional voice actor or four would have produced a better result in my opinion, no disrespect to the lucky competition winners but the video voice-over(s) do sound a bit cheesy.

Cannot wait for MAG! This game is going to be awesome. Great job on the trailer you guys!

good trailer… but not my cup ov tea..

i’d love this to work out, but i have some concerns about choppy framerate and the bandwidth latency (i have only 2mb/s). hopefully it uses a server/p2p type set-up similar to resistance2 and killzone2 (or dedicated servers like battlefield bad company) which play perfectly for me with no lag whatsoever (up to 60 players in R2 case), and also implements region filtering, unlike the crappy CoD4/5 client-as-host set-up, looks like CoD:MW2 is going to continue with. one aspect that is appealing is the mmo-ish nature of your faction in that persists outside of individual battles. here’s hoping it can deliver the goods. now, how about a european beta? :p

I loved how you linked the players into the video, but it would just add that edge to give the speaker a rugged and worn voice.

PS3 is taking over, how can you not own a PS3 if you are a gamer. Sony is in full gear now boys and we the gamers are going to benefit from it. Does anyone know if we can change the view to 3rd person? Socom is one of my favorite games because of the 3rd person.

@75 – ehh, how does that make a game stand out?, it tells me almost nothing about a game and looks a bit like a trailer for an uwe boll trainwreck of a movie…

good thing this is only on ps3 or microsoft might through money at the developers and delay DLC for ps3 id love to drop kick bill gates in the face i heard he is payin so xbox get 2 maps on COD MW2 before ps3 and i bet sony dont give a flyin f%ck that activison might stop making games on ps3 although it would be stupid as xbox is stuck with a 9GB disc and we have 25GB and 50GB i think blu ray goes bigger though. this is ridculus soon every f%ckin game that comes out on ps3 and xbox microsft will buy DLC so ps3 doesnt get it so were screwed every time even sony are f%ckin us over (europe) we pay the most money on PSN and we get f%ck all in the store japan and the US has dynamic themes so what, we get them next week and then next week they get avatars and more themes and dont even get me started on the update what is the point in buyin a theme if our online names are surounded by a huge white box and block the backround will somebody tell me wat the hell its for. sony f%ckin do sumtin about it

There seems to be a lack of drivable vehicles in this game. Is the APC the only vehicle one will be able to drive in this game?

With all these FPS games out there (which is all pretty much the same), I think a variety of vehicles makes the battle so much more varied and fun.

At least I have battlefield bad combat 2 to look forward too. This game doesn´t seem to be able to compete with that one.

Brilliant trailer, it really captures the concept of the game really well. Any news on how we Europeans will be able to get into the public beta? I would guess that it would coincide with the release of OPM HD. If OPM had the slogan “Subscribe to OPM HD and gain access to the beta for MAG, the largest multiplayer game ever developed” then they would sell a lot of subscriptions

i have serious doubts about this game. although the concept is awesome, just trying to get 128 players on the same team doing what they are supposed to be doing seems near impossible! i am keen to give it a crack but, i think the real “team” players will get extremely frustrated with the antics of kids and teens running around doing their own thing and ignoring the actual objective. i am hoping to get into the beta so i can see what its like before i buy it. well at least in au EB Games have a 7 day return policy for all console games.
hopefully there is some sort of in-game kick system to boot out the losers that treat it like COD free for all.
if it doesnt, the only people who will truly enjoy this game will be clans playing clans.

MAG looks Magnificent!

I’m not really a MAG fan, but that trailer, sent shivers down my spine. The VO really makes it a more personal advert that seems to have real people and not some generic alpha male VO guy trying to rally up his troops.

I really hope you use this or something similar as an advert for the game. Well done to all that entered.

I’ll try and get in on the beta to see if it beats Killzone 2 on the multi-player side.

@81 : Glory is rarely if ever for the first to die and deaths ( on either side ) in wars are never magnificent. They usually involve a lot of pain.

Glory goes to those who took part, fought their hearts out and survived to tell their tales of valor, horror and they keep their stories of cowardice to themselves.

That trailer made me love MAG so much! Now I have to buy the game when it comes out. Best trailer of MAG I have ever seen.

@90 : If you have an iPhone, download the free app Shazam, hold your iPhone up to the MAG trailer ( with the sound on ), and it should tell you what the tune is. Very cool app, btw.

I thought the trailer was going to be rubbish but it is surprisingly good! Are we going to see this again but with higher quality video? The compression was a bit too much. Perhaps on PS Store some time?

Did you give someone a beta code for stealing a quote? Or did you just think their entries weren’t good enough so you put an old one in there anyway?

Amazing trailer, reminded me of the classic “I conquer Worlds” trailer for the PS2 – is this just for web promotion? I think it would make a really good cinema trailer…

Also any chance of it being posted on the PSN Store any time soon? Would be nice to see it in HD on a big TV…

I actually found the trailer to be rather boring, except for the last part where the narrators talk about one man to lead a war and finally the climax: “Lead me, follow me or get out of my way!” The last bit said by a woman was a smart move.
