Hello all, I’m pleased to say that this week we have available for you three new dynamic themes from the worlds of LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm and WipEout HD. The added bonus for you all is that the WipEout HD theme is absolutely free!
Whilst we’re on the subject of themes, I just wanted to clarify that we will be getting more dynamic themes (utilising the new animated features) in the future, as well as continuing to roll out the newly available premium themes. Premium themes are static themes, but have been created to a higher standard (and some will utilise additional sound files) and therefore are billable. However, we are not stopping the release of free themes, so please don’t worry that free themes will no longer be available, as this will not be the case.
So now onto the rest of the update that will be published later this evening – Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos is a new puzzle/adventure game coming your way, whilst we also see demos galore this week with the releases of FIFA 10, Fat Princess, LittleBigPlanet and Katamari Forever to try – I think that lot should keep you busy for a while. If not, we also have available tracks for Guitar Hero 5, as well as new content for Pain and High Velocity Bowling.
After last weeks issues for our PSP users, I can confirm that Fate/Unlimited Codes and the demo for Holy Invasion of Badman! will be available today, as well as the game BIGS 2 and a second pack for Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? Apologies for the problems we encountered last week.
I’m back and ready to do my duty in the firing line of the comments section, so let me know your thoughts.

Great to have you back Mike – see how going away a week makes people appreciate you all the more??
Good update I’ve been waiting on Fifa demo to see if it is enough of an improvement over 09 to buy – although from the reviews I’ve read IT IS!!
I was also fooled by the introduction of ‘Premium Themes’ last week when we all thought we were getting Dynamic Themes so saw it was paid for theme and bought it.

Any indication when we are getting avatars? They should have been there the day fw 3.00 was released.

@37 – Mike, you have to delete free space in that link. It’s how XMB should look like.

That’s a really nice update man! Can’t wait to see the Wipeout HD theme (though I never thought I would be more excited for a theme than for a demo, I must admit it’s the case today).
The zebras are great but I was getting bored of them (even though I managed to make my girlfriend and some friends think they were actually reacting to the voice via the PSEye, which was kind of funny – well, they don’t talk to me anymore now but the laugh was worth it)

@Mike Kebby
I havent seen the Batman DLC named or the release dates announced yet officially yet. Did you just accidentally reveal them?
In context to the Repy above:
“The two additional packs are coming in the next two weeks, one per week (Insane Night 17th Sept and Prey In The Darkness 24th Sept).”

Will there be a download version of Dissidia?

Posted on 10 September, 2009 at 3:14 pm by twoofclubs
Is it just me or does the Guitar Hero 5 song import/update only go to a ‘page not found’ page on the EU blog? Is this because Guitar Hero haven’t got this page up yet or is the link incorrect? Can’t wait to get the game tomorrow though.
Oh and welcome back from your hols Mike and thanks for bringing a decent update with you, especailly for the free WipEout theme. Very appreciated.

Hey Mike
I’m getting seriously worried about the back catalogue of PSP games or even new releases such as FF: Dissidia and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny (especially the latter as most gameplay videos of it are seen being played on the PSP go) available for download on the PSN considering the ‘go’ is out in 3 weeks.
Can you assure me that the EU PSN will be getting a LOT (please quantify if possible) more PSP games within the next 3 weeks/updates?
Thanks
Hope you had a great holiday (pretty cool update as well, quite a few demo’s I will def try)

I wonder if we get Bomberman “Ultra” before the US store features the already anounced successor, Bomberman Live: Battlefest (probably Bomberman Ultra: Battlefest for PlayStation release) in 2010.

Huzzah on the dynamic theme prices, i was expecting a higher price around £2.49 (like the overcharged fat princess) but these prices are fine by me, deffo buying the LBP theme.
See that Mike, you come back and everything gets better strait away

@ 71
“Now thats what i call an update! Mike any idea when are getting any psone classics suchs as you know metal gear”
I emailed Konami myself the other day, just out of curiosity really, with the following:
“Apologies if this is the wrong address to email this particular query to, but are there any plans to release the PS1 version of Metal Gear Solid onto the European Playstation store? It was released onto the American store nearly 3 months ago, and from what people have understood from the EU official PS3 blog is that Konami (for some reason) haven’t submitted it to SCEE. Is it ever going to see a release over here as it is one of the most requested PS1 titles for the store?”
Their reply:
Dear Konami Customer,
Thank you for contacting Konami Customer Support.
In response to your questions about Metal Gear Solid downloads, I’m very sorry to tell you we have no information at this time regarding this.
Please keep an eye on our website http://www.konami.com for information about developments and future plans.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your feedback.
Regards,
KDE-US, Customer Support
Read into that what you will.

Great update!
Nice to see a demo of Fat Princess, I have yet to decide if I will buy it but this demo will make it much easier to decide.
Also great to see some dynamic themes and they have a reasonable price too (especially the WipeOut HD one…
