Interpol: The Trail Of Dr. Chaos

Hello and welcome to the Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos post where all things hidden are good things!

Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos (available September 10 for €9.99/£7.99) is a Hidden Object Game, the first of its kind on the PS3.

For those who are not familiar with this type of game, go back to your childhood and remember the “I Spy” and “Where’s Wally” books, in which you needed to locate cleverly hidden objects or characters within the pages of a book. Now imagine that coming to life in vibrant living HD colour on your PlayStation 3!

In this wildly addictive genre of games, you will travel around the globe (virtually, of course!) and unravel puzzles in order to gather hidden clues from exotic and remote locations, investigating elaborate crime scenes and overcoming treacherous mini-games along the journey.

Introducing PlayStation Home SingStar Rooms

Hi guys,

As you may have seen, The SingStar Rooms for PlayStation Home were announced at gamescom in Germany a few weeks back.

Well, I’m pleased to confirm, that this awesome new space will be launching in Europe on 24th September 2009. For those of you that haven’t seen it already, check out the teaser trailer below:

When you strut into The SingStar Rooms the dancefloor will react to the shapes you throw and the type of music will change based on what style the majority of avatars are dancing to. Therefore, if you all do the ‘Rock’ dance, the music will take a rockier edge. ;)

‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (10th September 2009)

Hello all, I’m pleased to say that this week we have available for you three new dynamic themes from the worlds of LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm and WipEout HD. The added bonus for you all is that the WipEout HD theme is absolutely free!

Whilst we’re on the subject of themes, I just wanted to clarify that we will be getting more dynamic themes (utilising the new animated features) in the future, as well as continuing to roll out the newly available premium themes. Premium themes are static themes, but have been created to a higher standard (and some will utilise additional sound files) and therefore are billable. However, we are not stopping the release of free themes, so please don’t worry that free themes will no longer be available, as this will not be the case.

So now onto the rest of the update that will be published later this evening – Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos is a new puzzle/adventure game coming your way, whilst we also see demos galore this week with the releases of FIFA 10, Fat Princess, LittleBigPlanet and Katamari Forever to try – I think that lot should keep you busy for a while. If not, we also have available tracks for Guitar Hero 5, as well as new content for Pain and High Velocity Bowling.

After last weeks issues for our PSP users, I can confirm that Fate/Unlimited Codes and the demo for Holy Invasion of Badman! will be available today, as well as the game BIGS 2 and a second pack for Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? Apologies for the problems we encountered last week.

I’m back and ready to do my duty in the firing line of the comments section, so let me know your thoughts.

Robot Chicken Invades PlayStation Home

Adult Swim here. Fear not, Smut Police, we’re nothing to do with aquatic monkey business, but everything to do with bringing the funny. We’ve been asked by the guys at Playstation Home to tell you about our show, Robot Chicken, currently spooling its way across the screens in the Home cinema. Apparently. (You’re going to have to bear with us a bit with the lingo here; we’re not from round these parts.)

PBCLOGOPN [Converted]

In the unlikely event you internet-savvy types don’t know it already, Robot Chicken is an Emmy-grabbing, toy-mangling, mick-taking, celebrity-baiting, stop-animation sketch show by comedy genius Seth Green – y’know, the actor who plays Dr Evil’s son in Austin Powers and provides the voice for Chris in Family Guy and played a (pretty wussy, let’s be honest) werewolf in Buffy. Yeah, that guy.

RCSW2_Still14-3

Robot Chicken is one of Adult Swim’s top-rating shows. We figured we’d put it out there in Home because, well, why not? After much vigorous debate, we chose a scene from Robot Chicken Star Wars because we love a good ‘Your momma’ battle — and so did Mr Lucas — plus a few more classic Robot Chicken skits. We hope you enjoy them, but please don’t ask us how to get there; we’ve no idea.

RCSW2_Still01

Anyway, go check us out. Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken: down the rabbit hole, past the fat guy stuck in the internet and over gravity’s rainbow. Or something.
