Jem yet again the overwhelming number of links is to Joystiq
Have you forgotten you no longer work for them, or are you still on the payroll in someway.
I find it odd that no one from the EU Blog reads any of the fantastic independent PlayStation websites, and instead only links to VG247, IGN and of course Joystiq
I slightly better mix of site than previous week – but come on whats wrong with sharing the EU love to all the independent PlayStation
Its bad enough that large sites don’t source them as links for breaking news – but for the EU blog to ignore them week after week when they held the EU fort for a few years before Sony saw fit to launch the EU Blog is a bit of a disgrace – and the more weeks which go by the more ridiculous it looks.
Like I said better mix this week – but can you go the whole hog next week and not mention Joystiq at all ?

3 out of 12 does not seem that significant to me, and to be honest, the facial recognition technology shown in the last link was definitely worth sharing.

The facial recognition looks fantastic. It would be great to see how they incorporate that in the future.

Hey Jem,any word on if there will be launch bundles for the PSP Go? Specifically any pre-order offers with GT PSP (apart from getting the game free if you register a PSP Go within the first 10 days of launch)? I’m interested in the new PSP and would love to get the Bugatti Veyron with the downloadable copy ^^

Great stuff with the PS3 Slim sales, keep it up.
I have a question for Sony EU, when is Demon’s Souls coming to Europa? I would be extremely happy to get an answer on this, even if you don’t have a date yet. Thanks.

So whats the skinny on 3.X update , what is the point in giving an update if when some people do not get ALL features . Features that are obviously going to play a HUGE part in future of PS , Like the ” TV “icon in the XMB why don’t you fix 3.0 its more important than giving us a round up of what SONY want us to read . I was planning on buying 3 more ps’s one for each bedroom , until i get ” TV ” icon i won’t buy anything new ( i have bought many things from the store) . So are you fixing the firmware or are you leaving it as is

CONT:
, to hell with the rest of us ( i am in the uk , i have a uk ps3 80gig original , i also have a uk PSN account infact there are three uk PSN accounts on it . i have been with sony since the original PS DO NOT SPOIL PS NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why cant you just give us an answer for this fix amongst the other problems 3.0 gave people why hide answer us NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not care about BBC iplayer i use the browser , just give me the DAMN ” TV ” icon in the xmb for crying out loud . Do you think people like being screwed over , you give a bad budget update and think by giving WIPEOUT as a free dynamic theme solves that problem GUESS what people want full features on their systems not a shoddy theme .

Yep 3 out of 12 is better than last week, but Joystiq weren’t the source for the story which you pointed out as being good to share (the facial recognition one)
As usual with Joystiq (and IGN & co.) they are rarely first for the story – they just report it and fail to credit the site they got it from.
So I repeat:- Come on Jem there are loads of UK/EU based sites, why not share the love? The multi-national sites that are generally linked to don’t need the hits or recognition (especially when they aren’t the source)

Yes! Finally, some news on Peacewalker!
Oh, and the reason the Slim boosted sales? The price cut which you Sony fatcats were so allergic too.
Did you finally have enough cigars up at Sony? Did you give Sir Mike a much deserved raise? Will every Sony employee apart from Sir Mike continue to ignore the fans? Will you actually use independent news sites?
The answers await…………(Not Really, Mike didn’t post this entry)

@m1ghtym00se
Yeah, granted the original article came from EndGadget and it was morally dubious to link to the Joystiq one, rather than the original.
Regarding the EU websites, the only one I can think of being any good is CVG. The only other one I am aware of is Eurogamer and I find them to be little better than IGN, as they blindly copy & paste from other sources, choosing to the US PS blog for news rather than the EU one – which is just daft.

@10 demonized
I asked that question a couple of days ago, and Jem didnt have the answer. I too would love to have some sort of Preorder goodies available for the PSP Go customers [hey they are already doing it for Motorstorm, I dont see why they cant do it with GT]

@LordCartman
There’s not only C&VG and Eurogamer based in UK/EU but a wealth of small independent sites, that report on news in a refreshing style because they don’t have to keep cosy with SCEE to be drip fed an interview about once every 6 months.
If you only stick to the large multi-national sites then you’re often missing out on the news first – Also those larger sites rarely if every give proper credit to these sites for the stories even though they are extremely often the first with the breaking news, but here goes, the first 3 I regularly read but the rest are all cool as well
thelostgamer.com (great reviews and features)
thesixthaxis.com (nearly always the first for news & features)
ps3attitude.com (exists purely for charity)
xtremeps3.com
ps3blog.de
elhabib.at
play3.de
There are many many more, Before Jem came here they we’re regularly linked to as reading matter – but Jem appears to only read the corporate multi-national sites, of course there’s nothing wrong with linking to them, but why not mix it up a bit?

@Ragnarok-NZ
Jem doesn’t answer, he has an ivory tower to sit in. If you want an answer post it on the US blog, Jeff always seems to find the time.

@sony @playstation @blog-editors @webmaster @etc
Could you please change the blog so we can reply on a reaction and that it will be threaded under the original reaction?
(Preferably with an option to quote the reaction?)
And some more reactions from you to our posts would also be nice..
