Rather than telling us all they will be sent later in the week, could you give us a specific date for each batch that is sent out over the following weeks.

Surely that can’t be too difficult????

Anychance of obtaining the beta key….. it says closed early

I signed up for a friend since he has no computer… I did it for him 30-60min after i myslef signed up. And well guess what, he got one and i did not…

day 3 still no code

The beta is taking FOREVER to download for me! I downloaded it alright from the PS Store (about 280mb) which downloaded quite fast. But then it had to have a 33mb patch. And then when you go to the game, you have to recieve over 2500mb worth of data. My PS3 has been on since about 11pm last night. It’s 3pm now (16 hours later!) and I’m only on 60%…my internet download speed must be atrocious. I think I need to reset the router, but I don’t want to incase it aborts the download. Is anyone else suffering from slow download speeds?

i had verry slow download speed under the 33 mb download, but i think the big one did allrigth because i started it when i went to bed, and it was done 7 hours after when i woke up!

What’s the joke with this stupid beta! Seriously… yesterday eve it took a huge amount of time to get up to date. When I was finished I coulnd’t log on anymore.

At midnight I constantly had a connection lost problem and haven’t come further than the main menu.

Today I can’t even check my character because the server is unavailvable!!

How am I able to even try the beta? What’s up with this?

i signed up for the competition successfully….. told a friend 2 to the same, they signed up successfully….

i signed in today and found them playing mag ßeta!

as the competition clearly states 1st come 1st served where is my code. surely im guaranteed 1 as i registered before her???

any ideas? as the day is coming 2 an end nand there is no code in my inbox

is there any other way of obtaining a beta code?..i dont have a pc and the link doesnt work on ps3 browser…has competition closed or is it still worth me battling jigsaw box wielding old ladies in my local library?

If you registered for the European MAG Beta but haven’t heard word yet,don’t worry, because Shijima, the European SOCOM & MAG Franchise Producer has confirmed that everyone will get access, and probably by mid-afternoon tomorrow. “I can confirm,” he says, “that everyone in all regions who registered but never received their code will be sent one over the course of tomorrow, probably by 2-3pm UK time. Furthermore, in an effort to try and do a Quantum Leap (put right what once went wrong), we will be sending out codes to the remaining 20,000-odd people who registered. So, if you managed to register on the site before the competition closed, I am told that you WILL get your code tomorrow.”Excellent news, and great service from the guys running the beta. I got to 60% updating the game, and then my internet cut out and MAG lost connection to the servers where it was recieving the information! So I still haven’t got to play it yet, as my PS3 will be on for hours and hours more until it manages to update (nearly at 50%…it probably won’t be done until early hours of the morning, if not later. I wish I was joking, using so much electricity)! If my internet loses connection again then I’m not even going to bother trying again. My PS3 will probably brick.

Has anyone received their codes for the 2-3pm window promised today? I entered this competition within 4 minutes of the blog post being made (Google Reader FTW), and have yet to get my code.

I’m going to be absolutely gutted if there was something wrong with the very earliest submissions into the competition and mine has been missed.

I received a “You’ve been recruited into the MAG beta” e-mail this afternoon (at 5:38pm UK time).

I typed the code in as detailed in the message at 7:29pm, and after clicking [Confirm] on the acceptance of the “Use of this item is subject to the Terms of Service and any specific conditions applying to the promotion” dialog box I was presented with the message:

“The code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid. Please check your entries.”

I checked the code three times, by starting over twice more.

No joy

Please advise if there is a known problem with some of the codes, e-mails, or redemption process.

downloading mine now 28% after 3 hours lol looks like an overnight DL

fanpages: My code was ok, I managed to DL original archive and install it quite fine. Updates however.. well.. are quite huge and my PS3 is DL.ing those at the moment.

Be sure you’ll use right Case.. that is, use big and small letters accordingly.

PS: To Zipper Interactive: Would have be nice if you had send a prototype.version of user-manual on E-mail as well. It would have been nice reading while PS3 keeps updating.

can i have the beta

anyone know why the link to the (closed)competition doesnt work on ps3?.is it just that the ps3 has a not great browser?..wouldve been good if they couldve done it through the ps store somehow(not owning a pc i couldnt sign up..but im not jealous and bitter…much..)..heres hoping for more closed beta codes or failing that an open beta sometime around christmas…

i got my code as well, and am also suffering from extremely slow download speeds. the first 300mb from the store was ok, but for the 2.6gb download, i’ve only got to 2% after about 25 minutes.. my internet connection should be capable of downloading that in about 5 hrs, but at this rate it’s going to take about 14.. but i don’t want to leave my PS3 on all day while i’m at work tomorrow.. by the time i get home it’ll have been on for 24hrs straight. definitely not recommended.

does the demo really have to be 3gb?. i know the maps are supposed to be big and all, but seriously, 3gb??

someone please help me get MAG BETA… i would love to play this game

3gb is the main client that would normally be on the disk remember your not downloading a demo here your afctually downloading a huge portion of the game codes. thats why its so big. also will take longer than normal as servers holding the data will probably be the same as the ones hosting the games. i recomend people download it and leave it running over night, problem solved. be laying this since got the code and am absolutely luving it. there are a few tweaks that need to be made and graphics need abit of a polish but i, happy with the beta. the perks system has alot of depth to tailoring the way yoou play. just got to level 17 and have qualified to be a squad leader so looking forward to having a play around with the perks of being a leader.

just done the dl deff worth doing overnight looking forward to spilling some blood on the battlefield at 5 today

@392 Is there single player mode& tutorial at the beta? I’d like to test it alone before jumpin in at 19 local time (17 at uk?). My download is at 83%, so it’ll take some hours.

i left it running all night and only got to 60%. i had to stop it before i left for work, as i don’t want the ps3 running all day as well and overheating. the download speeds are ridiculously slow. a friend of mine has a 10mb/s connection and is only at 75% since 6pm yesterday. i know it needs the game client as well as the maps, but 3gb is a hell of a size of client. i’m hoping the download will resume from near to where i left off. if it starts back at 0% i’m going to forget about it for now…

Sitting at 76% , if they knew it had a huge update why didn’t they just release it in the store as a whole ??????

well my dl froze at 81% it was there for 4 hours and i got annoyed so i quit it and went to redo the dl but it said installing game data and it works perfectly. this happened to my m8 too. if the HDD light isnt flashing try restating it.

bloody hell this is daft!!! ive been DL’n since 6.30 yesterday evening and its stuck on 81%…trouble is i tried the restart thing and it practically started from the begining i think it shot to about 14% then went slow again…this is a sodding joke!

Will we ever get to play this game , before the code runs out ????
