Howdy all, another week, another dollop of content for you all
I know it’s a tough act to follow last week’s offering, but I think we’ve done a good job of carrying on the momentum – but I leave it to you to see what you think.
Heavy Weapon joins the PSN game list on the store, we have three demos for you this week, starting with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, then a slice of Lost Planet 2 (with those extra bits to play for us PS3 owners) and if you didn’t check out The Punisher: No Mercy when it was released a while back, we also have a demo for that title now available too.
The standout bit of content this week for me (and that’s because I am a self-confessed fanboy) is the Broken Steel pack for Fallout 3, but we also have more challenges for Batman: Arkham Asylum, and extra content for UFC Unleashed 2009, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, Madden NFL 10, Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Speaking of Guitar Hero we also have some special offers on a selection of tracks for this week only, and there are more details on this in the content list below.
For our PSP users you can test your rallying skills with Colin McRae DiRT 2, play with your food in Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs as well as get additional content for Prinny, and Rock Band Unplugged.
Not too shabby this week eh? As usual, leave your thoughts in the comments section and I’ll do my best to respond to as many as possible.
Special Offers
As detailed last week, PixelJunk Racers, High Velocity Bowling, Super Stardust HD Double Pack, Echochrome Micro and Disney’s Action Game feat. Hercules are still on special offer this week, however, we also have the below Guitar Hero Tracks available for one week only starting today:

Hopefully not – we had publishing problems these last two weeks, I’m hoping we don’t encounter them again.

Will the store ever go back to being updated around 5-6pm? It was nice having a bunch of new stuff waiting for me when I get home from work. It seems since that much-loathed firmware update which shall remain nameless (:x RAGE!!) that the store doesn’t get updated until closer to 10pm or so, maybe even later. Might as well call it the Friday update instead by the time the stuff gets updated.
Not complaining, just curious.

Haha, who did you call and how would they know?
That makes me chuckle – nobody except the store team knows what time we’ll publish, and they don’t man the phones.

Todays update is not too shabby at all, the only thing that grates is the punisher demo…… i could have done with that before i wasted my money on it…….. a least other’s will be saved from making my mistake.

Not a question, just a thought, but next thursday when the PSP Go gets released, it would be nice to see a very early store update for the PSP stuff. Its going to be a bummer getting a PSP Go, and then not being able to do anything new and exciting with it till late that evening
Can you tell I am really excited about the PSP Go. I can’t even sleep properly (SAD)

Mike can you confirm that (as I expect it will) all the Fallout 3 DLC will be the same price?
Will there be any kind of pack once they are all released to lower the price?

Not sure about pricing for the other packs just yet.

There is no way I am even going to touch this one…”
I like the fact that that isn’t a denial ;p. In any case, one awesome update this week. Fair enough I’m only going to get the free stuff (I’m waiting for the Fallout GOTY due to a lack of cash and hard drive space) but it’s still pretty damn good.

the store normaly updates around after 4PM depending on content and if there are any problems holding up content
so you have a while to wait

Other than that, a good update!

Pretty good update this week. I’m very much looking forward to the Fallout expansion. The only question I have is aside from allowing the game to continue after the ending and the level cap increased to 30, are there any other specific changes that it makes? I know I should research it myself but seeing as you, the legend that is Mike Kebby, seems to be pretty pumped about it I figured you might be able to furnish me with an answer.
Have a lovely day!
Posted on 24 September, 2009 at 12:10 pm by Mike Kebby
Broken Steel adds a couple of quests I believe, as well as letting you play on after the original ending, raise the level cap, and I think there’s also a few new perks too.

Its a good update Sir keddy however SCEA store update be even better.
but that not the topic i wanted to ASK.
i read of what sega blunder (leaked) a meno to SCEA concerning dreamcast games on psn not just that but ps2 on SCEA psn as well & this is fantastic i wanted this i ask for this, i said “can we go to the scea & convert our money to buy in the scea store”
& the sega leaked meno confirm it as well as the stuff i said they to be a japanese import store in scea store.
so the question is…… will we scee get that on our store? practical the scea store import store will be for us its a tall order but mike ask the higher ups, this will be a money spinner if the devs cant be bother to do our games in our region then you (scee) should at least give us the option to do so
as for the devs im asking you, why the delay why the scea 1st, scee 2nd we in uk are 2nd in the market, so the question to you devs is…..
what is your EXCUSE?

Good work on the PSN update again. I look forward to all the PSP games next week too, though it looks like I’ll have to invest in a few PSN cards when they appear (apparently now on 1st Oct with the PSP GO!).
I’ll go get some games traded in!

Nice update Mr.Kebby, nothing for me this time, but good work!
Let’s see if I guess the “responsible guys” evil agenda towards the Ps classics debacle(not asking for any answer here)…
1-Bureaucracy cost for bringing PS1 classic may exceed in some cases the price of release in europe, that’s what “localization” costs meant, consumption of time=money, that’s why we usually get shafted with overpricing.
2-Higher quality PS2/DC games may be easier to deal with since they were not released so very long ago.The cost may be the same or less than bringing PS1 items, plus, they can(logically)carry a superior pricetag.
3-You sneaky %&x#s!,you had no orders to work it out!: you are going to “Import” them for us heh?,less headaches with the pricing per region if it’s sold as a Rare Item hmm? less language localization hmm? and since we’ve been MONTHS giving feedback of what precise games we long for,you know exactly how much(more)are we willing to pay.Give me a break,I’m not a cow.
Please, marketing dept or whoever responsible, go jump in a cold lake to never return.
As for me,I’ll keep my posts sourless from now on, sorry but THIS one issue called out for heaven, is a pristine, outraging milking.

Why is the Fallout 3 add on more expensive than the 360 version? I admit it’s only a £1 but it’s still a pound I could spend elsewhere.

Nice update. Wow Fallout 3 DLC. Bethesda were not kidding when they said 10 euroes each pack.

Wow I guess I’ll wait 3 more weeks for the GOTY edition. Smyths toy store has it priced at 35 euros and they are giving 15 euros in store credit for trading in Fallout 3. No Downloading either

humm decent update, I’ll get all three demos to kill some time, the one demo i really want is not on the list however, poor old Brutal Legend. I’m going to assume the rumors are true then and X-box does infact get it a week earlier then us. I’ll be away for the next update so not going i have a chance to play the demo for awhile.
just a quick question, if X-box releases the demo a week earlier then you guys, and everyone with multiple platform who is interested in said demo gets it for X-box (and presumably having played it will not get it for PSN) wouldn’t that equate to more of these people buying the game for X-box rather then PlayStation as they have had a chance to get a hang of the controls on that system? (while also annoying the loyal PlayStation Fanboys who can’t access the demo?)
