Hey everyone, I’m Michael Santora, an Associate Producer from PopCap Games, bringing you all of our titles in association with Sony Online Entertainment. So far, the response to our classic titles, Zuma and Bejeweled 2, has been fantastic, so we’re excited to bring another of our favorite titles to Europe, Heavy Weapon.
Having grown up on classic arcade shooters and original game consoles, Heavy Weapon holds a special place in my heart. It’s a true shooter game that always reminds me of my youth, pumping quarters into machines at the local arcade. Heavy Weapon was originally developed on the PC for Windows, but it’s now found a home on the PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system. The DUALSHOCK twin analog sticks give moving & shooting in independent directions a more arcade-like feel. Playing survival mode online or locally with your friends is a great way to earn the “Survive 12 Minutes” Trophy. Multiplayer mode lets you play with up to 3 other people so you can play with old friends or new ones!
Heavy Weapon fans can enjoy a new feature exclusive to the PS3: the ability to shoot down and destroy the supply helicopter as it delivers power ups to you. It makes some of the later levels a bit more challenging since you have to pay more attention to your allies while you’re shooting down everything else in the sky.

Excellent and keep up the good work. I will get this game soon once I get the money.
Hope you bring Plants vs. Zombies to the PSN at some point. I love that game.

Bought this game from the US Store, absolutely brilliant once you get more upgrades
Any word on Pegggle? I haven’t played it yet, been waiting for the PSN version (If at all) to try it out

I think the PopCap games would work a lot better as “minis” for the PSP, portable versions of Chuzzle, Iggle Pop, Heavy Weapon, and Peggle etc would be great. The PS3 versions don’t interest me because I already have a lot of PopCap games for the PC.

Dont forget that on PS3 we have the pleasure using a mouse or keyboard so support for those would indeed be cool.

no, Heavy weapon was hideous
tried the demo, its super ugly and boring… the devs of this should really check out the PSN´s quality standards
Compare this to Stardust, Pixeljunk games, Flower, Burn Zombie Burn…

why is it that posts like this come a week late? The bomberman post for instance stated pretty much the samee thing.. “our game is out, buy it, lah de dah” makes it seem like it was just released on the day of the post but it was actually released a week earlier…sales struggling?

The fun comes from playing survival mode online and from the amount of targets bombs and the nuke planes.
12mins survival is easy, well it was when I played it on xbox with my friends we would allways get past the 45min barriar and on ocations we would hit an hour. The record at the time was something like 1h20.
