Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (1st October 2009)

So, we’ve finally arrived to this week’s update – I hope you’re all ready for the rundown, as there’s a lot of content on offer this week.

Usually I list the PS3 specific content first, but seeing as this week we’re all excited about the PSP Go launch, the new Media Go store launching (replacing the PC based Media Manager application), and the first batch of minis titles hitting the store, the PSP content list will take the headlining slot today.

The minis range of titles launches with games such as Tetris, Fieldrunners, Pinball Fantasies and Hero of Sparta available (amongst others), and these bitesize games (all under 100MB) come in under the £4/€5 mark and offer a lot of value for their size!

We also have brand new PSP games released such as Gran Turismo, MotorStorm Arctic Edge, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny (with our favourite God of War Kratos featuring as a playable character) and also available from Friday morning we’ll have FIFA 10 and Beaterator.

The games for PSP don’t stop there though, with a host of legacy titles hitting the store featuring such titles as Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Midnight Club L.A. Remix and God of War: Chains of Olympus. For the full list of content scroll down a bit further and have a look at the delights in their entirety!

Also, for the added benefit of those of you new to the store, or are new to the PSP family, I have provided a full run-down of all the PSP games available via the store, there’s quite a hefty amount of title available for you.

For those of you looking for the PS3 content, we have TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-shelled available (trail and full game unlock) and a plethora of demos with Brütal Legend, Need For Speed: Shift, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, and Up The Video Game ready for you to play. Fallout 3 has two new packs in the form of The Pitt and Operation Anchorage, and we also have additional content packs for LittleBigPlanet, FIFA 10, NBA Live 10 and others.

If none of that vast offering fills you with joy, delights, or hours of fun, then I have to question if you really enjoy playing games…well, do you? J

Until next week, take it easy and have fun!

Please tell us if Fallout 3 DLCs will be available in Portugal since the previous one was not.

Thank you.

Nice one Mike!

great selection this week. no doubt you’ll be plowing through more Fallout 3 this weekend?

Me and the Mrs are planning on doing some Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2! :D

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:05 pm

Yup, I have ample time this weekend to play, I’m looking to finish of Broken Steel tonight, then tuck into the other two packs asap ;)

Enjoy your time with Gaiden! :P

AcidCrashX 1 October, 2009 @ 12:31 pm   3

Shame we didnt get any of the NIS stuff :( was hoping to get a digital copy of Prinny :(

hell of an update guys! i was wondering, since daxter is one of the games in the pspGo rewards upgrade programme, how come it isnt in the update? its just a little odd :-)

Do we have any idea of what time all this PSP goodness will hit the PSN?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 12:57 pm

2.00pm or thereabouts on PSP and Media Go, PS3 Store will update later this evening.

new falout dlc ????
1ste falout dlc not in belgium !!!!!!!!!!!
u gone gife us 1ste en second dlc at same tyme ?!?

All this and still no Resident Evil or Metal Gear Solid!
I know, I know, but still…

Can I ask about Final Fantasy 8…

Any news on this?

no uno ????

m1ghtym00se 1 October, 2009 @ 12:34 pm   10

So Minis look a bit dear compared to Apple’s App Store, I thought they were going to compete?

Tetris, YES!

hey mike nothing about FFVIII?

also what about prices for those psp games?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 12:58 pm

    FVIII should be coming soonish.

I’ve put the prices for the new content, all the other content is already available on the store, I didn’t have time to collate all the pricing to be honest :(

Nice one Mike, Still not sure if I’ll pick up a PSPGO mind, especially as my PSP collection is kind of large and losing out on that stuff would suck considerably.

However I like that you’ve got two Fallout 3 DLC’s this week, I guess next week we can expect the next two? and then the week after a final pack containing all five?

Also, I am a little dissapointed that the US store gets BOTH Disgea psp games and Prinny Maybe I can be the Hero and we get none of them.

Next week maybe?

No UNO? This is a joke, right?

Ravenblade86 1 October, 2009 @ 12:36 pm   15

Fantastic updates for both PSP & PS3! I’m actually at a loss as to what I want to download first, and the prices seem pretty good on most of the PSP content.

Just need my PSP Go to arrive now…

Wow, I’m happy to see so many PSP games on the store, but I’m wondering if they’ll work only on PSP Go! or if they will be avaliable for the regular PSP users (PSP 2000 in my case).

I’m so happy both GTA games made the update. Gonna get them both today!

AcidCrashX 1 October, 2009 @ 12:38 pm   18

@ 16 hi Uterr, yes they work on all PSP’s :)

Everything on PSP overpriced. GJ Sony. PSP Go = epic fail!

ljforlozz 1 October, 2009 @ 12:38 pm   20

Got my psp go today it’s alright i guess and nice to see GTA’s for psp i really thought they wouldn’t come ,,, this is amazing for psp , just could do with ps1 games next week :-D just bought gex off america store :-P

I forgot a question. Is Tetris the original version? I thought that Nintendo used to own the rights of the ‘Tetris’ brand.

micromagic 1 October, 2009 @ 12:40 pm   22

Is there any reason why Rock Band Unplugged isn’t up on the store yet? There’s constant DLC but no game.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 12:59 pm

It’s in the list, and coming today.

It’s a ‘lite version’ of the game – comes with five tracks already installed, but you can add more via the DLC.

fallout-dlc for germany?! and is it compatible for all eu-versions…

AcidCrashX 1 October, 2009 @ 12:41 pm   24

@ 21 Tetris is owned by the Tetris company now (thats their actual name lol)

m1ghtym00se 1 October, 2009 @ 12:41 pm   25

The full retail games are miles dearer than they are in the US, thanks SCE UK, shafted again!

elephant_stone 1 October, 2009 @ 12:42 pm   26

Massssssssive update!

Wow! Best update EVAR!

Mike, I’m off to get my dinner.

Will comment about this rubbish update ;) later when some sandwiches have helped last night’s Laphroaig wear off.

SuGaR_rAy_RiDeR 1 October, 2009 @ 12:43 pm   29

great update for the psp, just one question, will crisis core be coming out for the psp store soon? would love to see it on there along with ff7 and maybe 8 if it come out eventually :-)

a word on non-english dlc/patch for fallout 3?

RagingAvatar 1 October, 2009 @ 12:44 pm   31

You forgot Monster Hunter Freedom Unite from the PSP downloadable games list :p

Suzzopher 1 October, 2009 @ 12:45 pm   32

Yay for Fieldrunners and Tetris.

But SCEE are having a laugh with the Gran Turismo, Motorstorm and Soul Calibur prices. I paid £17.99 for them brand new on UMD. Anyone buying them from the store needs to be shot into the sun for being stupid.

yo mike
any news when cross edge will get its dlc cheers

Plenty to be getting on with, shame Square-Enix aren’t contributing major PSP titles yet, can you find out if they’re coming soon? Crisis Core and Dissidia in particular.

If Daxter’s going up, is it the updated, smoother running 333MHz version?

Croopnick_PL 1 October, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   35

WoW!!!!! GREAT update! Can’t wait to test NfS: Shift! :)
But still no PSone games :/
btw I don’t have any PSP but….no MGS: PO?? That’s a shame!

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   36

Fallout 3

* Operation Anchorage (£7.99/€9.99)
* The Pitt (£7.99/€9.99)

is this a joke? pete hines director of fallout 3 stated to eurogamer that each pack would be 6.29 not 7.99 that brings the total to 40 pounds! for all 5 packs i could buy the goty for less.this is unacceptable.your taking the mik.

FishFingers 1 October, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   37

Why do we get a tiny amount of games added to the PSP store when those in North America get 100+ today?

£225 for the console and only these games to choose from seems like a bad deal to me!

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:00 pm

America do get about 100 games today, but quite a few of them we already have on our stores :)

slayerking69 1 October, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   38

Hi Mike,
Any news on classics like FFVIII?
cheers

Arlanthir 1 October, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   39

Absolutely no complains about the content this time, what a batch of games :D

Just think the pricing conversion team are unaware of the pound-to-euro rate these days ;)
I’ll wait a bit, no point in spending that much money for a digital release when I can get the UMDs at the UK price :S

Not saying it’s a bad update, by all means, it’s one of the best. So thank you :)

Scooby4ever 1 October, 2009 @ 12:47 pm   40

Any plans for bust a move for ps3? ps1 title or fresh ps3 title?

btw.
nice update today.

Sty_Azores 1 October, 2009 @ 12:48 pm   41

Great update, yes, Turtles in Time :-D

Killer_Paul 1 October, 2009 @ 12:48 pm   42

Mike could you please include the data sizes for all content in future posts

thanks
Paul

Carnivius_Prime 1 October, 2009 @ 12:48 pm   43

Nice big update. Quite a few things in there I can see myself getting for PS3 and PSP. Kinda annoyed that I just bought Blast Factor a couple days ago and now it’s price reduced but it’s only a pound cheaper so I shouldn’t complain too much.

Is Pinball Fantasies based on the old Amiga pinball game which was my favorite all the way up until ZEN Pinball on my PS3 came out?

Turtles In Time has me conflicted. From the videos and screenshots I’ve seen I really don’t like the new graphics at all and apparently you can’t use the original. And the gameplay doesn’t hold up well even compared to other scrolling beat ‘em ups of that era, but… it does seem like it’s still fun in multiplayer. Thanks for giving a trial first so I can make up my mind.

Smoutefretter_BE 1 October, 2009 @ 12:49 pm   44

OMG, what a small update, is that really all the stuff?

just joking! really great update. Many PSP games (even many that aren’t in US, got job at those!!!!)

just a question: Apparently in the BELGIAN store all the DLC of Red Faction Guerrilla is gone! I can’t find it anywhere!

Euh, keep up this updates :P

unitedkronos 1 October, 2009 @ 12:50 pm   45

No UmJammer Lammy or any other PSone Classics like the American PSN update? Though the PSP update is a great event, I’m still worried about the lack and quality of PSone Classics recently.

D14m0nd88 1 October, 2009 @ 12:51 pm   46

Fallout 3 is just for Uk, Am I right?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:01 pm

English speaking stores at the moment only – other countries will get the DLC at some point, just not sure when exactly.

unitedkronos 1 October, 2009 @ 12:52 pm   47

Also, 20 new PSP games compared to the 100+ titles America got?

gummypanda 1 October, 2009 @ 12:52 pm   48

How do you get your free copy of GT PSP when you buy the PSPGO?

I just got my PSPGO and its updating now.

Blasteroids 1 October, 2009 @ 12:52 pm   49

Hi Mike!!

Can you find out why some of the Rock Band packs are still higher than the individual tracks they contain? This was raised 4 WEEKS AGO AND and it looks like NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE in that time!

Or will the emu approach will be used again?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:02 pm

I’ve sent all the details to Harmonix and they are working on it as I type :)

Dutch_Rootsman 1 October, 2009 @ 12:53 pm   50

Watchmen costumes for LBP?!? How freaking random is that! Consider them bought.

It looks like the PSP section of the store updated on Media Go already. Is there anyone at Rockstar I can harass to get the two GTA games and Beaterator on the Australian store?

Please ask publishers to price games more sensibly. I can pick up GoW:CoO for $17 bucks from a store or $30 bucks from the PSN Store.

hello mike, do you know when Uno and Switchball are coming?

A MEGATON update from Mike “Deathclaw” Kebby and his band of merry Wastelanders.

Still, Power Armour at the ready as you just know the dreaded “Comment Raiders” will still have something to complain about.

Seriosuly great job this week!

Croopnick_PL 1 October, 2009 @ 12:58 pm   53

US Store will get Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko!!!!
DAMN!!!!! SCEE PLEASE! Will you give us a good PSone classic games next week?

When will the search function be available in the Netherlands???? Iam totally lost in the PSN store.

PrivateJoker360 1 October, 2009 @ 12:59 pm   55

Excellent update.

Downloading PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe on my PSPGO now.

Cheaper than the US for a change too!

How come Monsters is available but the Minis aren’t btw?

Brütal Legend and NFS:shift demo for me. Not realy into race though. But I’ll see. C Ya latah! :)

OMG Mike!!! There is way too much stuff up on the store this evening. I mean how am I meant to choose what to download. This is ridiculous. Terrible update. (Sarcasm)

wbrinkman 1 October, 2009 @ 12:59 pm   58

This is just thievery.
Gran Turismo 21.99 UKP or 36.99 EUR

If I run 21.99 UKP through the current conversion rates, it equals to 22.17 EUR

That is €14,82 more! Close to double the price!

Mike, can we have an answer about Fallout DLC for continental coutries (you know, we’re in Europe too ;-) )

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:03 pm

I’ve already answered this, they are coming, just not sure of dates yet.

Darkscorpius 1 October, 2009 @ 1:00 pm   60

Nice list Mike, looking forward to trying out some of the minis, they look really sweet.

I’m happy with my PSP 3000 atm but twice in the last 24 hours I’ve been tempted to buy the PSP GO lol. I didn’t realise it supported the DS3, does it work with all games or just a few? I also heard you can connect to the internet via a bluetooth device like a mobile, is this true?

I probably won’t get one yet anyway, I like having shiny boxes too much.

Roxas598 1 October, 2009 @ 1:00 pm   61

mike can u elaborate on soonish? i’ll give you a cookie.

are there no price changes on the old psp games?

the americans have POP revelations for $9.99 mike and ours is 15.99 thats not fair tbh

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:04 pm

We’ll be looking at expanding the range of special offers we offer on a weekly basis, but there’s nothing else I can say at the moment.

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 1:01 pm   62

HUGE update :D another 2 Fallout packs to get my teeth into YAY !! ive just finnished Broken Steel so this is great news , who cares if you will be able to get GOTY edition a little cheaper lmao @ all u whingers stressin over a few pounds , id rarther play it now . Kyo_Daikun 1 October, 2009 @ 1:09 pm   74

Shame you guys couldn’t get more PSP games on the store like the americans, going to hold off on the Go I think (the digital copies are quite a bit more expensive than the UMD’s as well which others have mentioned)

Will most definetly be downloading the fallout packs as I have completed broken steels missions already!

Silent_Gig 1 October, 2009 @ 1:09 pm   75

What about the NIS games?
Prinny can i really be the hero, holy invasion of privacy badman?

I was looking forward to not having to buy s US PSN card

to answer this question “If none of that vast offering fills you with joy, delights, or hours of fun, then I have to question if you really enjoy playing games…well, do you?” YES we do.

halljames 1 October, 2009 @ 1:15 pm   81

Mike, will the full version of Rockband Unplugged be making it on to the store, if not then I will happily get the lite version, but if it is, I shall wait?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:18 pm

As far as I’m aware this is the only version coming, but I don’t know for certain. I will see what else I can find out :)

When the content is up; can we also activate that ‘PSPgo Rewards’ program?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:18 pm

There will be a section on the store that PSP Go ownwers can visit to start the process yes.

Lootskin 1 October, 2009 @ 1:18 pm   83

Wow. That is NOT a tiny amount of games. Good job!

gummypanda 1 October, 2009 @ 1:18 pm   84

Thanks Mike!

I see the theme is no up yet. Will the PSPgo Rewards be available after the update?

phillip_h 1 October, 2009 @ 1:18 pm   85

hey mike do you no any info on any ps1 games coming to our store like syphon filter 2 and oddworld:abe’s odyssey

Lootskin 1 October, 2009 @ 1:20 pm   86

Oh, by the way: When is the PSP Go going to be released in Sweden? It’s not in stores where I live now and I can’t find anything on the web either. Response would be much appreciated thank you.

Nice line up, nothing really leaps out at me this week though, aside from the demos. I’m disappointed DiggerHD didn’t make it into this weeks update :(

Have you worked out how to preview Dynamic themes yet or do I need to wait for someone to buy blind and post it on YouTube? The first Motorstorm one was very dull, I’m glad I waited for a YouTube video…

There are a good selection of ‘Minis’ – is there any chance of a similar scheme coming for PS3 games? There are too many over priced £7.99 titles on the store and not enough sub-£4 ones. When the PS3 first launched it was a different story – case-in-point I paid £3.49 for Super Rub-a-Dub on launch day, 23/03/07, and here it is 31 months later ‘On Sale’ for £3.99!!!

Agent_Cooper 1 October, 2009 @ 1:21 pm   88

(Living in worst Sony area in the world is so depressing)
Errr…. What I meant to ask is what’s the story with the Disgaea 3 patch?
No point in saying it’s not Sony’s business. Sony creates the rules, everything is Sony’s business. I’m not personally affected by the problem of DLC not available in certain countries, but seriously, SCEE needs to set the system so that never happens. It’s as if they’re making an effort to upset their customers.
SCEE is just an embarrasment to the Sony brand.

And I feel sorry for anyone willing to pay those prices for PSP games. 2x shop prices, 5x american/asian prices.

Speaking of price, and yes I know I’m repeating myself, but the exchange rate system you guys use is frankly stupid – fix the exchange rates like ever other player in the downloadable distribution market from Apple to Microsoft to Nintendo! $=/=€ and why is a $1.99 Rockband track 99p, but a $1.99 Guitar Hero track £1.59! It’s illogical – Americans wouldn’t put up with it so why do we have too?!

Likewise a LBP Costume pack costs $5.99/€5.99/£4.79 when clearly it should be priced nearer to $5.99/€4.99/£3.99 – I’m not paying a fiver for some constumes! PSP Mini’s don’t use a 1 for 1 exchange rate from the $ for example, in fact the exchange rate for them is the complete opposite – Tetris $9.99/€4.99/£3.99, Fieldrunners $6.99/€4.99/£3.99, Funky Punch $4.99/€3.99/£3.49 etc

Would a bit of consistency/fairness kill you?

Awesome update Mike keep up the good work, I’ve seen some stuff today about Silent Hill and Soul Reaver being rated by ERSB could you comment on that at all? Thanks Mate :)

Grind_Axis 1 October, 2009 @ 1:22 pm   91

Great update for PSP(go) owners! It must’ve been quite a hassle to get all this content up and ready.

Unfortunately I can’t enjoy all the content but all that will change once Peace Walker gets released. :P

Nice Update!

Awww, I was so sure Badman would show up this week. :(

RBMaurice 1 October, 2009 @ 1:25 pm   94

Any update on MGS1 for PS3/PSP? I really need that on my PSP GO :D

monoliet 1 October, 2009 @ 1:26 pm   95

pspgo = looking great +
pspgo = no umd -
pspgo = no 2 stiks -
pspgo = no integrated camera -
pspgo = no swaping batery , if u do = no garantie —-
pspgo = price ————————————
pspgo = no blaklicht (sun problem ) ————————

The THEXDER NEO game icon (£6.29) says ‘GAME VIDEO’ on it. Might confuse some people assuming it is linked to the right piece of content.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:36 pm

It’s definitely the full game, just the image we’ve got is a bit misleading as you say, we’ll try and get it changed asap.

AshKorsair 1 October, 2009 @ 1:26 pm   97

thx for the info about the fallout 3 dlc.
once more for english speaking countries only.
dont have a psp so rest off update is not good enough to wash away the fallout 3 hangover.
and the pricing of the dlc for fallout 3? hahahahahahahahahahahaha
u expect me to take sony and/or bethesda seriously after this?
ah well, i am tired of being dissappointed time and again by sony.
time to sell my ps3 and get a xbox, sure it crashes a lot, but at least the customer service is way better.

Paranoimia 1 October, 2009 @ 1:27 pm   98

What a frakkin’ EPIC update!

And a very expensive one for me, too. :-(

Anyone want to buy a kidney?

spikemad2005 1 October, 2009 @ 1:27 pm   99

Can I ask if Final Fantasy 9 is on the way for the EU store?

StuDevo 1 October, 2009 @ 1:29 pm   100

Hi Mike
Glad to see the Fallout 3 content. Will there be a compliation pack to download them all at the same time? If so will it be cheaper.

Amherst_Wind_4 1 October, 2009 @ 1:29 pm   101

Oh man, even when we get a huge update like this the US store just has to get an EVEN BIGGER update… and they managed to get 4 PSone classics while we got zero.

But you have to laugh at the price inconsistencies on the stores…

PixelJunk Mons. Dx: UK £9.99 US $19.99
but Fat Princess: UK £11.99 US £14.99

How do you work that one out!?

MrLopes 1 October, 2009 @ 1:29 pm   102

TMNT YES YES YES… thanks you made my day..!!

phillip_h 1 October, 2009 @ 1:30 pm   103

nice update.i just got the new opm and it says syphon filter 2 and oddworld:abe’s odyssey are coming to our store aswell as uncharted 2 dlc.

Kyo_Daikun 1 October, 2009 @ 1:31 pm   104

Anyt news on dynamic theme previews yet mike? Having to look on youtube for someone who has put it up isnt an ideal solution :p

Roxas598 1 October, 2009 @ 1:32 pm   105

oh sorry mike got another question here

anything about the FF tactics game the americans 2 weeks ago?

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 1:33 pm   106

@ 97 ” close the door on your way out”

Why is God of War chains of olympus more expensive in the EU Store than in the US Store?

Usually it’s either euro = dollar or euro is slightly less than dollar price, which is the case for GT PSP and Motorstorm Arctic Edge ($40 equals €37), why is Chains of Olympus 20 euros here when it’s 16 bucks in the US?
€20 equals almost 30 dollars! That’s almost double the US price!

Please tell me you can have multiple PSN accounts on PSP too, so I can just use US PSN Cards for PSP games.

Excellent update this week – nice to see the store starting to fill up nicely.

Any news Mike on when the trophies patch for flOw will hit the UK as the Americans seem to have had it for ages now. I think the last thing we heard over here was that is was in QA and seems to have been there for months now.

Also please please add Um Jammy Lammy to the UK store PLEASE!

Kotatsu2000 1 October, 2009 @ 1:36 pm   109

What a joke. The US got at least 4x as many PSP games today, including Prinny ($10/£6), and Disgaea 2 ($30/£18), and many, many more. This is embarrassing, I’m surprised you guys even showed up.

I was wondering whether to give the EU PSN one last chance, or to just buy everything from the US PSN. My decision is now made.

Toothball 1 October, 2009 @ 1:37 pm   110

Still a lot of games that need to be made available digitally. I’d like to be able to move from my old PSP to a Go while continuing to play the games I’m currently working through, even if it means I have to pay for them again. Sadly I don’t even seem to be able to do that.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:10 pm

There are still a lot of games that need to be made available digitally yes, we’re working hard to get as many of them as possible.

AcidCrashX 1 October, 2009 @ 1:37 pm   111

Hey mike odd question.

Do you know when more info will be announced on when the Green PSP 3000 is coming out? my girlfriend keeps hassling me about it and you always seem to have a grasp on the info :)

Roxas598 1 October, 2009 @ 1:37 pm   112

@107 you can only have 1 account active on a psp at a time unfortunately

so IF you have a us account to DL stuff your other stuff won’t work anymore till you re activate it under your account

Hiya Kibby,

Nice update once again, lots of content.

Still, I’m very much displeased with the Fallout 3 DLC not being available for Belgium (and different other countries)!

buytyio00 1 October, 2009 @ 1:40 pm   114

nice one but uh… where’s MGS?? we’ve been waiting over two months by now. and i can’t find rayman on the finnish store, but i see it on the UK one.

SpiderMike_X 1 October, 2009 @ 1:40 pm   115

Mike another fantastic update. Great to see so much variety starting tomake it’s way onto the store.

You may not be able to answer this but perhaps there is a shiny happy person holding hands next to you that you can garner info from, as I’m finding the EU Forum useless.

Do you know….if….the Eu version of Home will also get the 1.30 update today, like the NA verson, or whether there is a wait involved. Any feedback regarding this would be great.

Much obliged!

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 3:09 pm

I’ve just been told that it is releasing today SpiderMike_X, hope that helps.

And still no Dissidia, SquareEnix should praise their lucky stars that my PSP is still undergoing repairs.

Or something to that effect.

Solid update btw, junior will be thrilled about TMNT Reshelled, we’ve played the demo from the US store like a gazillion times.

And dad of course will be thrilled about Brütal Legend *throws up horns*

Soild_Nat 1 October, 2009 @ 1:41 pm   117

I can see some peoples download limits getting spanked tonight! Brilliant line up for the launch of the PSPGo. Nice to see a good bunch of minis available day one to.

Keep up the good work Sony, i want to see as many films and TV shows available for the launch of the EU video store!

Paranoimia 1 October, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   118

Unbelievable that even with an update this epic, people are STILL complaining. Guess I was right, and people really will moan no matter what Sony do.

Makes me wonder how many actually own a PlayStation, and how many are just trolling.

pb-live 1 October, 2009 @ 1:42 pm   119

Bloomin’ ‘eck, them’s a lot of PSP games!

Still not quite as many as the US, but no surprise there. Plenty for me anyway and nice to see some more classic titles and those minis turning up.

yea, where’s MGS? any word on it yet? and i too can’t find rayman on the finnish PS store.

badjoey 1 October, 2009 @ 1:44 pm   121

Wowz, great update! Any word on Dissida and Crisis Core for the Store? I would love habe them on my Go, hope you can anser this

Why are people still complaining? It is a great update! Just be glad that they give us new info and content every week, they don’t háve to. They only do it to make us happy :D

Oh and mike, do you have any info on if other previous released games (like lemmings earlier), or maybe even classics, will get a trophy patch? ? I’d love to see trophies for Rub a dub and Rampage for example :D

Please respond to me even if you don’t know anything about it so at least I can feel special and noted ;)

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:14 pm

By all means feel special and noted Volmer :)

I doubt those older games will get trophy patches now, for the time being consider the answer to be no, and if I get information to the contrary I’ll post again ;)

Guttergod 1 October, 2009 @ 1:48 pm   123

With all these PSP titles being added, how about adding a platform filter to the search? It’s annoying to get PSP hits when I¨’m trying to find PS3 content.

GhostViper 1 October, 2009 @ 1:48 pm   124

Hey, you don’t have a wallet avalible for me? It’s so many great stuff on that list :)

Arion87 1 October, 2009 @ 1:48 pm   125

Did you find out about the Call of Duty: World at War Map Packs on the South African PS Store? Also have you heard anything about the Guitar Hero DLC? Thanks

tbisley 1 October, 2009 @ 1:48 pm   126

AMAZING UPDATE!!!

Mike, I need to ask this question though. PSP game prices, any clarity you can give us on why they are priced so high? No retail is involved here :(

Other than that, I can wait to get home and get some new stuffs! :D

Goonboy 1 October, 2009 @ 1:49 pm   127

Hi Mike

Do you have any news on whether Dissidia and Crisis Core will be coming to the PSN for download?

cheers!

L337LUKE 1 October, 2009 @ 1:50 pm   128

Omg there is tons of stuff! Thanks mike, i was really optimistic about the Go being well supported but i can see that you guys kept your word Well done and Thanks again!

Once more the “don´t know, not sure, i´m afraid” guy.
Really Mike, get a life, or maybe a new job…

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:52 pm

    Next time I won’t bother then…no seriously.

Life is all well for me thanks, I have a great job that I love – what about you?

funkpower 1 October, 2009 @ 1:52 pm   130

No “Hogs of War”? Booooooo!! Honk Honk!

Suzzopher 1 October, 2009 @ 1:54 pm   131

@l0_t0

What do you want him to do? Lie? Seriously grow up!

Suzzopher 1 October, 2009 @ 1:56 pm   132

Mike could you tell me what the Rock Band Starter pack is? Is it a demo? Or can you buy the DLC for it?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 1:58 pm

It’s the full game, but it only comes with 5 tracks inside, but you can use the DLC tracks for it yes :)

badjoey 1 October, 2009 @ 1:57 pm   133

What? Mike is doing a great job here informing us all and you start [DELETED] on him.
Keep it up Mike, I know you will let us know when Dissida, Crisis Core MGS etc will be available :-)

at the rate them fallout dlc’s are going its gonna be £40 for all 5? but the goty edition will only be about that and thats with the main part of the game included, i thought dlc is supposed to be cheaper as no discs boxart and what not to deal with, and your psp games cost more than in the town! whats up with that?!…………

Gekidami 1 October, 2009 @ 1:57 pm   135

I’m abit disapointed we dont get the NIS stuff, especially with the US’s 50% off…
Say, when we FINALLY do get them, will they be half price for a limited time for us to?

When would the psp store be updated becuse I have to put my psp go away for XMAS?

spikemad2005 1 October, 2009 @ 2:00 pm   137

@l0_t0

Why don’t you get a life. Why should people like you spoil things for everybody? If you don’t the responses..leave!

spikemad2005 1 October, 2009 @ 2:00 pm   138

*don’t

IDDesigns 1 October, 2009 @ 2:01 pm   139

Fantastic update.

I am always slightly amused at the online pricing of major download games (Burnout Paradise, Gran Turismo, etc.) which almost always work out more expensive than buying them from play.com or game, etc. I would have thought the distribution costs for retail would make them more expensive than the download version. Both Sony and Microsoft are doing this so I guess there must be profit in it, but if the prices were lower I would buy loads more.

halljames 1 October, 2009 @ 2:01 pm   140

I hope I can register for the PSP Go rewards scheme before 4:00 pm tonight, cos I want to go back to GAME and trade in my PSP – 3000 and games for some PSN cards.

Quick reply, wow, you’re not helpful, this is what i said, nothing more.
My life is perfect, thanks for asking…

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:06 pm

Listen, I’m helpful when I have some information. Most of the time I do have the information asked, but I’m not always ALLOWED to share it – a lot of information I deal with is senstive/embargoed until I am given the all clear to share it.

Unfortunately some peeople fail to understand this…

Little question Mike (sorry to bother you): Can we expect to see Dissidia: Final Fantasy on the PSP store in the near future?

DenJohn 1 October, 2009 @ 2:04 pm   143

Will we also see PlayStation Network Game Cards in europe?

Hi Mike, you know what it may not have been as much as the US update but it’s still a great start, lets hope it continues.

Do you know a rough estimate when we will see these games, Half Minute Hero, Metal Gear Acid 2, Disgaea 2 and Ys 7?

Cheers, oh and to l0_t0, you have obviously never worked in a job where even if you know the answers it can cost you your job to divulge any info.

Kanijus 1 October, 2009 @ 2:07 pm   145

How many psp games is going to be every week on the psn network?
When is going to be done the update to the psn today?

Fifa 10 live season 2.0… my weekend is save now!!

SpiderMike_X 1 October, 2009 @ 2:08 pm   147

l0_t0 = Fail

Epic fail is epic, at that.

funkpower 1 October, 2009 @ 2:08 pm   148

Nothing for me this week, but thanks for trying Mike. If you do get a minute (online) Hogs of War would be a worthy addition to the PS store, any news on it?

Roxas598 1 October, 2009 @ 2:09 pm   149

Lay off mike

its like us beta testers with NDA’s

and at least mike answers are questions unlike the american blog where they hardly ever get answers

Mike when is Gran Turismo theme be up?

BritishBlue 1 October, 2009 @ 2:10 pm   151

I’m looking forward to the NFS: Shift demo, a few of my friends swear by it for some reason. Also are we ever going to see Final Fantasy VIII and IX on the PSN? IX was/is one of my favourites. Wish we could have FFX for that matter…

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:16 pm

I was very nicely surprised by NFS: Shift, it’s a solid racing game. You HAVE to play it using cockpit view though, it’s meant to be played this way (and is all the more better for it) ;)

Will the New firmware be needed before we can purchase off the store or is the new update US only?

Syphon87 1 October, 2009 @ 2:12 pm   153

Nice update but where is Metal Gear Solid afterall? I cannot believe that Konami don’t get this on the EU PSN already…

loonytoon1982 1 October, 2009 @ 2:13 pm   154

Looks great for PSP owners today

I’ll take the trial of TMNT but not going to commit to buying it just yet. Other than that a couple of demos seem interesting but that’s my lot for the day.

Muhib786 1 October, 2009 @ 2:13 pm   155

Fab update! One question Mike when is Final Fantasy VIII coming to the EU store?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:17 pm

It’s coming, it’s coming – no specific date at the moment, but soon ;)

stuart5756_2 1 October, 2009 @ 2:14 pm   156

Only one thing on that list that i’ll be downloading. Need for speed demo. Hey Kebby, will you be gettong the GOY edition of Fallout 3?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:19 pm

I’ve got the collectors edition already, and am geting the DLC as it comes week by week (Vault Boy is bobbing his little bobby head at me as I type furiously) so no GOTY edition for me ;)

ShlizarAxis 1 October, 2009 @ 2:14 pm   157

“FVIII should be coming soonish.” – Mike Kebby

Whoa~! That would be cool. I can’t wait to get that one for the PS3/PSP. But, any word on Xenogears? It’s been on the Japanese PSN for quite a while now and i’m anxiously waiting for an English version. (^_^; )

Great update Mike, I’ll have loads of stuff to tell my uncle Howard in my weekly email to him. Do you know him? He always asks about you for some reason and asks me what you’ve been up to. He’s always asking about the UK Store as well, I think its because he hasn’t learned to read Japanese yet (he’s been over there 4 years now) and has trouble working out what he’s downloading.

Anyway, I’ve got an email to write. I’ll tell uncle Howard that you said hello.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:21 pm

Every week your comments make me chuckle X201 (I presume you’re the same X201 that posts on EG too?), say hey to Uncle Howard, hahaha ;)

mitch_uk_psn 1 October, 2009 @ 2:18 pm   159

Another great update – and more hurt for my wallet! Looking forward to downloading the Rock Band Starter Kit and Kahoots.

The PS Store for psp has been updated.

bravo9zero 1 October, 2009 @ 2:19 pm   161

Terrible update Mike/SCEE ;)

Fallout 3 DLC (Operation Anchorage)
And the LBP Rorschach Costume for me :)

Also,
Got to admit, I expected the PSP minis to be cheaper, Like £1.50.

SUIJAI02 1 October, 2009 @ 2:19 pm   162

Nice update any news on a Killzone 2 expansion

MartinWallis 1 October, 2009 @ 2:20 pm   163

£31.99 for Need For Speed Shift, this is a joke right? I mean you can pick the UMD up for £23.99. This is the exact reason I shall not be purchasing a PSP Go.

B0B-MAL00GA 1 October, 2009 @ 2:21 pm   164

sony r the only ones xcited about pspgo, i personally feel its overpriced and a waste of time, its got average reviews already, and u know sony are already workin on no.2, ign said the controls are 2 compact, as 4 the store update, really bad special offer games again and demos ive already seen…..oh well….

bravo9zero 1 October, 2009 @ 2:24 pm   165

Oh and Mike, are we getting a “demo” section in the EU/UK store?
It’s needed, With all the new customers buying PS3.

You can imagine they’ll be a little confused finding demo’s on the store.

To be honest, our store, is a mess compared to US.

hey mike you said soonish and then say there is no date

that makes me a sad panda

patate12 1 October, 2009 @ 2:25 pm   167

Hello PSS guys,

Could you fix some localisation mistakes, please ?
There is at least a mix between french and dutch at several places.

French Demo* should be Démo (instead of Dèmo)
French Free* should be Gratuit (instead of Gratis)
French (Complete Game) should be (jeu complet) (instead of (Gioco completo) for Puzzle quest: Revenge of the plague lord)
Ducth Free should be Gratis (instead of Gratuit)

hi mike

first of all sorry if this sounds like a sob story but im currently sat in hospital having chemo and cant leave which is one off the reasons i bought a pspgo which came today. however the main game i bought it for (marvel ultimate alliance 2) wasnt on the store last week which got me a little stressed but yr comment that there was going to loads of psp stuff today (which there is) calmed me a little but its still not there. now im wondering if i did the right thing buying the go or i should send it back.

so after all that my question is can you let me know if and when marvel ultimate alliance 2 is going on psn.

thanks in advance

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:29 pm

I currently don’t have any information on this game as a digital release. That’s not to say it is or is not coming, I just don’t have any visibility of it. Sorry to be vague :(

    Best wishes to you ssence

IS it possible to download USA PSN PSP titles on the PSP GO?

Noisepurge 1 October, 2009 @ 2:30 pm   170

Feedback: how about adding a Preview option to the dynamic themes, its really difficult to blindbuy these without knowing what it looks like.

The USA store has a preview on the Premium themes.

Cheers!

TehPhilosopher 1 October, 2009 @ 2:31 pm   171

I have PSP Go on pre-order, and was curious about the pricing of PSN vs UMD. Below what I got comparing PSN/Play.com on games I’m interested in (PSN price first, Play.com SHIPPED price second).

* MotorStorm Arctic Edge €36.99/€23.49
* God of War: Chains of Olympus €19.99/€12.99
* Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories €17.99/€12.99
* Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories €17.99/€12.99
* Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny €29.99/€23.49
* Midnight Club L.A. Remix €17.99/€23.49
* Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition €17.99/€12.99

As you can see, the games are 23% (!) more expensive on PSN – all but one are significantly more expensive on PSN than on UMD. In fact, if I bought all of the games as UMDs, I’d save €36.5 – a triple-A game’s worth of money.

TehPhilosopher 1 October, 2009 @ 2:31 pm   172

2nd part

This is outrageous. Not only is digital distribution cheaper than manufacturing, shipping and storing of physical media, but I also will not be able to sell my used games. First factor makes the games cheaper to produce (ie. cost should be lower), and the latter factor makes the value of the game less for the buyer since they can’t resell games.

So my question is, why on earth would I spend €250 on a device which allows me to buy games for much more expensive? I like the form factor, but the price differential is already high, and the total lack of alignment with UMD prices is shocking:
- The convenience of digital downloads does not justify the much higher prices
- The fact that Sony is pocketing all the money they save by going full digital, and not benefiting the customer is fleecing
- The value of digitally distributed games is less because of zero resale value

I’ll be cancelling my pre-order until this is fixed. I’d be curious to hear a Sony representative chime in as well.

*checks the PSP PSN store for the 39th time*

I hate being impatient

Demathe 1 October, 2009 @ 2:32 pm   174

Okay so it’s 15:30 over here in the Netherlands and still no update (checking the store directly from PSP Go, also checked with another friend but he doesn’t see the store update either)

Could there be a delay for some countries?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:35 pm

The stores are publishing now, so all content should appear live in the next 30 minutes (at the latest).

MadmanButter 1 October, 2009 @ 2:33 pm   175

Hey Mike! Been reading these comments for aggges now, but thought I’d chip in :P

About the PSone classics. I fully understand you can’t tell us certain details about when stuff is coming and so forth. But are you able to say if we are actually getting them at all? Games like Resident Evil & Metal Gear Solid ARE still coming right? Is it just a matter of when?

I’m happy waiting as long as is needed if I know it’s at least coming haha! :D Cheers bud!

newsky87 1 October, 2009 @ 2:36 pm   176

No love for my Fallout-pun-packed comment? I’m hurt.

Hope the Deathclaw remark wasn’t taken the wrong way, I meant it in the cute and cuddly way honest! :D

Oh, almost forgot, any idea if there is a demo in the works for Motorstorm Arctic Edge? Definitely picking it up at some point when I’m done with all the PS3 goodness (if it ever ends!) but can’t wait for some more Motorstorm! Unlike the ungrateful so and so on the other page I understand if you don’t know or can’t say.

Cheers

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:37 pm

I did actually mean to comment on that, good work ;)

You’ll be seeing a demo for Arctic Edge real soon :)

PirateDave 1 October, 2009 @ 2:36 pm   177

Hey Mike, any news on when we’re getting Zombie Apocalypse? Nihilistic say it’s done and it’s out in America already. Are SCEE doing their own QA on it or something?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:37 pm

It had to be submitted again, so is in process and should be with us in the next couple of weeks I hope.

Roxas598 1 October, 2009 @ 2:36 pm   178

Oh one more thing before i head off to work mike no one seems to answer this question on the bog or anywhere else.

the news ticker under are bar why is it not active?

Yes please just let us know whether we can expect to see Metal Gear Solid here in EU. All the silence is not easy to deal with considering countless requests. US has had it since June. You owe us some kind of explanation. :(

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:43 pm

I’ve given countless explanations – I’m just as frustrated as you all are. As soon as I have something very specific (i.e a release date) then I’ll let everyone know.

Dave-The-Rave 1 October, 2009 @ 2:39 pm   184

Hey Mike, can you give me an idea how much space the downloadable PSP games will take up? For instance I have an 8GB memory stick with a few PS1 games on it already. Will I be able to get many PSP games onto that?

taurus82 1 October, 2009 @ 2:39 pm   185

I’ll be picking up Turtles in Time.

Thanks mike

wiiman07 1 October, 2009 @ 2:42 pm   188

Mike any chance that Australia could be inline with USA PSN store? Their store was published over 9 hours ago and they went live and yet EU take forever to go live? Why is that? Do you have monkeys working for peanuts?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:47 pm

The US Store is normally always updated after us, this week they decided to beat us to it :(

The Australian and New Zealand stores went live already.

gigoldz 1 October, 2009 @ 2:43 pm   189

How do i get the bugatti for GT(collectors edition)? I got a redeem code but it only lets me have the corvette altough it says bugatti on the box.

Ok, so £8 for each Fallout 3 expansion, costing me £40 in all, or should I wait a week or two and go buy the GOTY edition for £30? (Plus trade in orignal to save even more…)

Where’s the logic? Why penalise those that bought the game originally?

Takeo73 1 October, 2009 @ 2:46 pm   191

wiiman07 1 October, 2009 @ 2:49 pm   193

Thanks Mike :) Keep up the good work!

Mike is there a reason why the fallout 3 broken steel has been glitched to hell, and the fps has been significantly reduced, and freezes and lag is more common since the patch.

MadmanButter 1 October, 2009 @ 2:52 pm   195

Just wanted to add, Mike, I wasn’t after dates or specific details for PSone games going up dude. Just a heads up as to whether they were anymore advanced to getting here eventually.

I fully understand why you can’t give specifics. I was just interested if you were able to at least share whether the said games were still being worked on for being made available to us :)

Peace out bud :P

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:55 pm

As soon as I know what PSOne titles we will be getting (both 1st and 3rd party) in the future I will do a specific update detailing that info, I doubt I’ll have dates, but at some point soon I hope to be able to at least share titles.

whoismilan 1 October, 2009 @ 2:53 pm   196

Holy sh-! This was a lot better than what I had expected!

Best PSN update ever?

I’ll be buying a couple of games this week, so it’s not like won’t have stuff to play, but still:
- Metal Gear Solid.
- I wish there were some decent JRPG’s on that list (e.g. FF Tactics, Star Ocean, …).

WinterSoldier5 1 October, 2009 @ 2:53 pm   197

Excuse me if im being silly here but the current price for Super Rub a Dub on the store is £3.49

The special offer price is “Super Rub ‘a’ Dub (£3.99/€4.99)”

Doesnt seem like much of an offer to me, an increase of 50p ?

Odoakar 1 October, 2009 @ 2:53 pm   198

Still no FFT:War of the Lion, nor FF:Dissidia, eh? Shame, really. And couldn’t help but notice that US folks got both Disgaea games today, unlike us Europeans.

Hux1ey-uk 1 October, 2009 @ 2:53 pm   199

Got the GT theme just waiting for the code, says it will take upto a week! This is a joke…. right?

Resi amd MGS – for the love of god kick some arse! These two games will make so much cash for you guys, dont SCEU want money anymore.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:56 pm

The key words are ‘up to a week’ I think that’s there just in case there are delays, I doubt you will wait that long – but do not hold me to that :)

Dave-The-Rave 1 October, 2009 @ 2:54 pm   200

Mike, I would really appreciate an answer to my question above..thanks.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 2:57 pm

Without downloading all the games manually I couldn’t tell you that information, which is why i don’t list it in the update itself.

Lucreto 1 October, 2009 @ 2:56 pm   201

Good update today. I can’t wait for the Fallout dlc and Brutal Legend demo.

Any idea when Grandia and Suikoden 1 & 2 will appear?

dose_uk 1 October, 2009 @ 2:56 pm   202

Super Rub ‘a’ Dub (£3.99/€4.99)
I’m sure the English price was less than that normally. (£3.29?). Can you confirm what it was before the sale? Thanks.

What a massive update (PSP-wise). And the Brütal Legend demo alone makes this a great update.

Since the US Store was updated with some PSP games I’d be interested in, would I run into problems playing them on my PAL PSP? I’ve heard the PSP is region free when it comes to games, but I’d like some confirmation on this.

MadmanButter 1 October, 2009 @ 2:58 pm   204

Cheers Mike! That would be super! :)

Also, If you get Oddworld on that list when you make it, I’ll email you a pack of Maryland cookies! :P

geddesmond2 1 October, 2009 @ 2:58 pm   205

Oh wow. Gran Turismo in my local game shop today. 30 euros. Gran turismo on the PS Store= 37 euros.

WOW I’M MOST DEFINITLY NEVER GETTING THE PSP GO AND BUYING ANY PSP GAME EVER OFF THE PS STORE. WOW seriously.

Games in stores come with The case, a booklet, on a UMD and they have to be shipped off on lorrys to retail stores all over the globe yet they are 7 euros cheaper to buy than a digital version WOW.

I really missed a few lessons on how to take avantage of your customers in Bussiness Studies

AshAbuse 1 October, 2009 @ 2:58 pm   206

Hi Mike! Good update, got a psp 3000 Monday rather than get shanked on dlc prices. And now it’s time for both yours and mine favourite period of the week. *deep breath* Do you have a release date for the Saw game? Is there going to be a demo?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 3:03 pm

I don’t have information on the game or demo, sorry. Let me try and get some for you though.

And woops I just remembered. The 30 euros was for the collectors edition of Gran turismo

Demathe 1 October, 2009 @ 3:04 pm   208

Store has been updated :)

Just downloaded the GT theme to get the mail with codes to download my free copy. I gotta say, I really wished Sony would’ve thought up another way for this.

I mean, waiting for a mail that’ll come “within 30, but probably within 7″ days isn’t really fun when you’ve got this shiny new system you want to take for a spin :P

Mike,

Just wanted to say thanks for last week’s update (with the ‘delayed’ Rock Band tracks)!

I’ll sneak in a little question though: Do you know what Rock Band tracks we can expect in the (near) future?

Colcake 1 October, 2009 @ 3:08 pm   210

Bloody good update!
Now I just have to wait for my pspgo to arrive which should be tmrw, pretty much only got one because of Beaterator, also it’d be nice to remote connect with the ps3.
:D

Mike, yep, the same one.

Paranoimia 1 October, 2009 @ 3:13 pm   214

Those complaining about the prices of digitally distributed games on the Store being higher than a shop-bought UMD – use your heads for a moment.

A lot of retailers have already said that they won’t stock the PSPgo because they ‘can’t sell games for it’. I know as well as you do that DD games should in theory be cheaper because of the lack of physical media/printed manuals etc.

But games on the store are always going to be fixed at the RRP for the foreseeable future, simply because Sony don’t want to alienate retailers by under-cutting their prices on everything. If every Store game was 25% cheaper than the shop-bought version, retailers would kick up a far more serious fuss than they are at the moment.

When everything inevitably goes digital and they don’t need to worry about keeping retailers onside, prices will come down. Until then, you’ll have to decide between higher-priced DD games, or cheaper media-based versions.

Your best bet is simply to keep your current PSP model and get some larger capacity memory sticks. That way, you can have the best of both worlds – UMD if you want it cheaper, or the Store version if you must put it on Memory Stick.

Kanijus 1 October, 2009 @ 3:15 pm   215

Are you still updating? Because there is a few games only, and the minis page doesnt work…

@212 LOL

Kanijus 1 October, 2009 @ 3:20 pm   220

Its only the frontpage… not the rest… you can download only the games that are on the frontpage or those you can find with the search option (I think).

EnGhedi 1 October, 2009 @ 3:21 pm   221

Ok Mike, I understand that only English speaking countries get the Fallout 3 DLC, but what’s missing? Translation? I can do it free of charge! Is this the reason for GRID, HAWX, Force Unleashed continuous lack of content?

Please send me an email if you need translations.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 3:26 pm

I don’t know what the specific issues are- it’s up to the publisher to decide on when to release content to certain countries. There could be a whole myriad of reasons but that’s not for me to share, all I can do is let you know when they’re coming, once I have a date, and once they have given me the all-clear to do so.

there is 2 games that I really would like to get for my newly bought PSP Go: Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce and Naruto Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising, they are both out in Europe but they are not on the PS Store, any info about them coming to the PS Store??

RobinShido 1 October, 2009 @ 3:22 pm   223

@Mike
The great thing about NFS:Shift is, the great cockpit view. Up to now I weren’t able to play a racing game in this view. With Shift it just works great! It’s really a good game eventhough it’s kinda difficult. :)

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 3:28 pm

saf-snk 1 October, 2009 @ 3:34 pm   233

Hey Mike, is there a way of having a preview for the dynamic themes. I’m really disappointed with the MS:PR theme, it looks like an amature put it together last night and pushed it out for sale today.

Last week I got the free wipeout dynamic theme and it was FREE and far beeter than the half baked full priced MS theme.

I will think twice next time buying a theme or not bother at all. Please check if a preview along with a description can be added on purchasing themes. Customers deserve to know what they are paying for.

Apnomis 1 October, 2009 @ 3:37 pm   234

@ Paranoimia – there is no rule that says Sony need to keep hold of their monopoly on digitally distributed PSP titles – if they wanted to keep all parties happy why not wholesale digital licences to stores in the same way they do with the UMD equivalents at the same wholesale price?

That way stores could price digital releases below the RRP to the same price they sell the UMD’s for and even get higher margins (no P&P costs). It would be quite easy for the likes of Amazon and Play to issue an e-mail voucher code to redeem on the PS Store, I think the US Amazon already offers a similar service for XBLA games that you pay Amazon for and they are automatically added to your Xbox Live download queue…

Similarly in retail stores they could sell little game branded credit-card sized vouchers that you activate at the till and take home to download – or even have terminals in the shop that you could plug your PSPgo into and download there and then.

There are lot’s of ways Sony could work with retailer to get around this problem, so I don’t buy this “we are forced to sell at RRP and make massive margins on monopolised sales by the nasty retailers” excuse…

blaikieboii 1 October, 2009 @ 3:38 pm   235

Mike, could u give me an estimated time of the update, last time it was around 4pm so will be like that today?

Just a thing, in the italian PSN there is an error i’ve seen since at last one month using my PSP, the Fighting Games section is called “Game Soundtracks”. I guess if it’s the right place to report that…

Anyway thanks for the update.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 3:47 pm

Posted on 1 October, 2009 at 3:28 pm by Mike Kebby
The pricing on the store is the pricing the publisher wanted to target, we don’t set prices for content that we don’t publish.

And there in lies the problem – SCEE need to revise this serious inconsistency and fast. No other major distributor of digital content operates in this silly inconsistent manner so why should SCEE be allowed to get a way it? It is a rip off to consumers and makes a mockery of the EU PSN Store.

As I said in my earlier comment on page 2 that wasn’t replied to, €’s should be set below the $, and £’s should be set slightly below the €. The there is no way SCEA would treat their US customers that way, a $1.99 track is a $1.99 track whichever game it is bought for, just like a $4.99 or $9.99 game in 2007 is a $4.99 or $9.99 game today.

£7.99 it too much for most of the content published on PSN and SCEE’s exchange rate policy is the route cause of all pricing issues on PSN from £11.99 Fat Princesses to £1.59 Guitar Hero tracks.

Whether publishers set their own pricing or not they still follow YOUR lead, and the [bad] example you set is $=€ and €=£0.80. It is SCEE that has their policy wrong, not the publishers…

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 3:59 pm

Apnomis, the only reason I don’t respond to your pricing queries are because I cannot – I cannot engage in conversation over these matters at the moment, sorry.

I’ll buy Fallout but apart from that nothing interests me. I’d rather buy my PSP games on UMD

I have to agree with post #242. That’s why I buy a number of games when I go to Canada on a visit. I pay the same NUMBER of money, but not in the same currency. It actually makes it 1.5x less expensive, or means that I’m chronically paying 1.5x more than I should at home in Belgium.

According to xe.com:

1.00 USD = 0.686214 EUR

According to Sony:

1 USD = 1 Euro

Honestly, what the —-? Does Sony really think European gamers don’t know how much the US pays for their games? Do they really think we won’t notice?

VicRattlehead 1 October, 2009 @ 4:01 pm   248

hey mike just wondering if you know if the Power Stone Collection for the psp will be released on the psn…. would really like to play that

Seedhouse 1 October, 2009 @ 4:03 pm   249

Hey Mike, thanks for keeping up with the comments for us all!

A query regarding the rather sexy PSP Go i’m currently holding. Under System Settings, there is no longer any detail on Battery Information – could you possibly find out why/ where it’s gone please? :(

anders2512 1 October, 2009 @ 4:03 pm   250

The update hasn’t Come to norway yet
why?

woddi17 1 October, 2009 @ 4:04 pm   251

Come on Mike i was so polite haha ;-)

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 4:05 pm   252

so you cant discuss it whats the reply point of this blog then WE SHALL BE HEARD!!! come on people follow mine and Apnomis lead complain were getting ripped off while the rest of the world get fair prices scee you really do treat us like idiots and i for am SICK OF IT!!!!!!!

SmoggyPhil 1 October, 2009 @ 4:12 pm   253

C’mon guys, let’s not shoot the messenger. Mike can only be the deliverer of bad news, and it’s unfair that we should all point our fingers at him and yell because he can’t discuss certain parts of a business.

Can’t we all agree that Bethesda deciding to set the price at £7.99 is ludicrous? Broken Steel justified the price, yes, but those 2 DO NOT JUSTIFY £8 EACH WHATSOEVER. It is another showcase of how Bethesda love to consistently shaft PS3 owners. It’s why I never bought Wet, because we all realize what Bethesda are like.

I seriously hope Bethesda weren’t getting serious ideas about their DLC doing well on the PS3. I’ll be surprised if they get above the 100,000 mark (Which is very low in marketing standards) Personally, i’m just going to do without the DLC now.

**** Bethesda.

Guys, do you really think Mike would be allowed to discuss about Sony financial strategy here? lol. Yes it s*cks and I’m sure Mike’d like to see less expensive games too but he clearly can’t do anything about that.

Arlanthir 1 October, 2009 @ 4:15 pm   255

Calm down… Yes we’re getting some high prices, and we make ourselves heard by saying that on this blog.

However, Mike Kebby isn’t in charge of the prices. Even more, he can’t even comment on that.
So if you want change, be polite, calm, tell everyone your worries and trust Mike reads it and passes it on to the ones in charge.

If the price is too steep, just don’t buy it. Wait for the demos, be more selective, or plain wait for discounts/platinum: we all know they’re coming :P

fish1001 1 October, 2009 @ 4:17 pm   256

great update mike!!! more fallout dlc just when i finishd the first ÷) any chance i could be downloadin before the MAG beta at 6? VALOR till i die (quite often) lol

Arlanthir 1 October, 2009 @ 4:17 pm   257

(lol, Mike must be proud now, we’re the Kebby Police)

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 4:17 pm   258

uhh yes he can dont defend a company that is in the WRONG i repeat in the WRONG why should we pay more than every body else in the world we dont even get games on time it’s all a farce i dont complain ever well enough is enough you here me SCEE!

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 4:25 pm

Hmmm, looks like whatever I say I lose in this case…therefore perhaps each week I should just read all the comments and not respond at all?

Vaistrat 1 October, 2009 @ 4:21 pm   259

@242 Mike’s response to Apnomis:

Tell your bosses “We cannot engage in Buying over these Items at the moment” then.

lol. What a jolly looney attitude, did marketing took over all of the divisions yet?

Kidding aside, PROBLEMS aside, this is a Very Good (A+) update.

RastaJames 1 October, 2009 @ 4:22 pm   260

… wheres the large breasted raider of tombs!!!

nice update. shame i dont like racers.

or rock band. Although i’ll admit the only reason i dont like rockband is that damn clicking noise the guitar things make (SHUUUUTTTT UPPPPP). so maybe the psp versions ok.

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 4:23 pm   261

anyway the point of me raising this subject was to raise awareness that we are being ripped off and from the looks of you all snowballing my subject i like to say mission acomplished WE SHALL BE HEARD!!

Apnomis 1 October, 2009 @ 4:23 pm   262

@ Mike, I understand that you can’t comment, but I’m sure you at least acknowledge that the inconsistent exchange rate policy used by SCEE is a major frustration experienced by your customers and a barrier to digital sales in the region.

I trust that it has been noted as a serious issue and is being discussed by the appropriate people in SCEE’s management team, and I trust that eventually SCEE will do the right thing adopt a system more closely aligned to that of their competitors, as not to extend them an additional and unnecessary competitive advantage in the online arena…

TyrantGer 1 October, 2009 @ 4:24 pm   263

STILL no Zombie Apocalypse? That’s not fair, you know that? Also, where is Final Fantasy 7? Isn’t it supposed to be on the Store already?

Angry-Goat- 1 October, 2009 @ 4:26 pm   264

Thanks Mike I was hesitant to pre-order the PSPgo because of Lack of titles but now I am ultra Sure!!!

Plus Free Grand Tursmoooooo and 3 free games!!! thats Like £80 off the price tag!!

TheKillerSnowman 1 October, 2009 @ 4:26 pm   265

the update are late again

mitch_uk_psn 1 October, 2009 @ 4:27 pm   266

It is probably a good thing Zombie Apocalypse is delayed – the US version needs a patch to fix bugs. No doubt the same bugs preventing release in Europe. Good job SCEE.

SmoggyPhil 1 October, 2009 @ 4:27 pm   267

No, he can’t tell us about who made the pricing and why. Don’t assume that just because Mike is employed by Sony means he can open up the doors to Sonys internal workings, it’s all to do with company employees and hierarchy. Mike can’t post the discussions between Sony and other companies, Mike can’t post the financial dealings between Sony and other companies. Mike is with Customer Relations (I’m heavily assuming this, Mike. If i’m wrong, then sorry :p) and is only permitted to give information on and related to the department he works for. Unless a Sony Financial or Bethesda represantative came into this post and commented, we won’t know why the DLC is priced as so.

Everyones frustrated and aware at the high pricing here, especially compared to the price the GOTY Edition is going for (Since GOTY is going cheaper in some outlets than DLC, I’d have to say this goes against simple logic if they were planning good sales), but let’s not blindly criticize Mike. Unless someone from the relevant departments picks up on this, all we are doing is yelling silent words.

ZeForgotten 1 October, 2009 @ 4:28 pm   268

That is really nice update.
Good thing I just got paid :P

SmoggyPhil 1 October, 2009 @ 4:28 pm   269

And just to stop focusing on the negative, a big thank you for the Brutal Legend demo! I can finally see if it’s worth the pre-order! And a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 video FTW.

Angry-Goat- 1 October, 2009 @ 4:29 pm   270

Forgot to mention is there any news on Final Fantacy Crisis COre for download ? this will make me very happy !!! :)

A few questions

1) No Zombie Apocalypse… Does QA really take that long. especially when it’s finished and on both the US/UK 360 stores and US PSN.

2) Is Critter Crunch out here for next week (October 8th) or is it just for the US?

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 4:34 pm   275

lol god some people love to moan , if gaming is too expensive for you guys go sell your PS3 and take up knitting

@rob_dee81 nah im just gonna move to any other continent so i pay a fair price knitting is not for me lol

Soulblitz 1 October, 2009 @ 4:35 pm   276

Do you happen to know when “Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero?” will be hitting the Store, if at all? It’s all well and good being able to download extra content, but now that the PSP Go is out, you can’t buy the game to use the content with!

Also, any word on Dissidia: Final Fantasy? I know obviously it’s down to the publisher, but since Square Enix have actually now released a game on the store (Thexder Neo), I was wondering if you had any insight.

Thanks, and a great update overall!

TheKillerSnowman 1 October, 2009 @ 4:35 pm   277

The FW3.0 should come with new avatares, but a month later there are still no new avatares. Please release them soon!

Soulblitz 1 October, 2009 @ 4:46 pm   286

Ah, just read through all of the comments, and you’ve already answered my questions. That’ll teach me!

That said, I’m really hoping for more Square Enix games to turn up on the store (Crisis Core, Dissidia, War of the Lions) etc. Glad to hear FFVIII is “soonish”, but is there any possibility whatsoever of FFIX hitting the store?

*hopes*

And that’s all we can ask of you Mike, sorry if I’ve come across as a bit negative towards you today (you know we all love you really!) I was just on my soap box about pricing!

I never condone people ranting and swearing at you, but there’s nothing wrong with a bit of rational debate and discussion…

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 5:04 pm

Don’t worry, I understand that pricing is a very emotive issue, and it’s not to be taken lightly.

That’s all we ask, rational debate and discussion, this is very much welcomed, and necessary!

AceAssassin 1 October, 2009 @ 5:00 pm   290

JafaCakes 1 October, 2009 @ 5:09 pm   292

Nice Update! Has to be the biggest since the Store launch amirite? I have to hand it to you Mike you have got PATIENCE! To stick with a thread for so long, when numbskulls are firing insults all over…
I can’t think of a blog or message board where replies are as frequent as complaints – especially for a company the size of Sony. You deserve some proper recognition, though I spose it is kind of your job – passing on the whinging.
If the price is too much guys, don’t buy it…

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 5:12 pm

That’s the thing though, I’m actually the security guard, I just stumbled in here by accident one day – ah who am I kidding, of course I jest :)

You’d be right on the size of the update, this is our biggest to date!!

Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 5:09 pm   293

Just to let you all know, the store update for PS3 users will not appear until about 8.00pm (or thereabouts).

Apologies for the tardiness this week, but because of all the work we’ve had to do to get the PSP and Media Go stores live at a reasonable time, we’re still working on the finishing touches for the PS3 update.

Again, I apolgise for the delay.

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 5:10 pm   294

@ 290 i think the white box was to make the friends list easier to see whilst ingame as depending on the colour of background it was sometimes a little hard to see, i could be wrong though

InfamousPsy21 1 October, 2009 @ 5:10 pm   295

everybody’s golf costume update is pretty cool, thought they finished the dlc for that game :)

Blasteroids 1 October, 2009 @ 5:12 pm   296

Mike,

Thank you for the comment regarding the Rock Band Packs.
Can you confirm that it is Harmonix that control the DLC server and pricing then? I am sure I read somewhere that the new Harmonix DLC network for espiring artists would not be fully available on PSN because they are not allowed to control the servers unlike a certain rival. Is this true or just a dodgy rumor?

If you are not allowed to say, then posting NDA is ok :)

Bloodfang-UK 1 October, 2009 @ 5:13 pm   297

jesus h crist waiting all day for the brutal legend demo and now 8pm or and i quote “thereabouts” so what you mean is we will get the update when nelson gets his eye back

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 5:16 pm

I could have said nothing and let you hang about waiting, but I didn’t because I am a NICE guy! :P

On a serious note though, I am sorry it’ll be later than usual, we’re not publishing later just for the sake of it however.

Bahamut44-4 1 October, 2009 @ 5:16 pm   299

Great update Mike,

I’ve read your responses to the Rock Band:Unplugged Starter pack but I still am a little confused.

It includes 5 tracks and the game, that’s great i’m super tempted, but which 5 tracks?

And what about the other 36 tracks that shipped with the game? Will they be released as DLC? I dont want to buy the starter pack and have no option to access the other 36 songs.

Please clear up these little issues. ^^

Keep up the great work!

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 5:19 pm

I don’t have the information about which five it comes with, but all the others will be available within the Rock Band Unplugged in-game store (I believe that does include the ones that shipped with the game too).

DoctorSalvador 1 October, 2009 @ 5:24 pm   309

Despite what everyone else seems to think I consider this update pretty poor since it’s meant to be for the PSPGo launch. Sure it would be a great update if it wasn’t, aside from the price of the Fallout 3 DLC’s combined price being more expensive than the Game of the Year edition, but the NA store had far more PSP games in it’s update.

I’m not a big fan of the PSPGo because of the pricing, and the lack of a UMD drive, but it’s a big slap in the face for people that do shell out for one, since the library of games available is pretty tiny, and most of the big games that people would buy a PSP for are absent. Normally I don’t mind delays between games from the EU and NA store, since it’s pretty bareable for the most part, but when you can only get games digitally off the store this is pretty pathetic, it looks like EU PSPGo owners are just going to get the shaft, when surely the whole point of a system that can only buy games digitally is to avoid stuff like this. Microsoft and Steam seem to manage fine with giving everyone the same digital content, why can’t Sony?

ShogunDarius 1 October, 2009 @ 5:24 pm   310

@ mike, it was early morning for them when they did it too was it not?

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 5:25 pm   311

@ monoliet home is down worldwide because of new patch being released today (shrinking potions etc.) and as for avatars they wont be coming for ages because the firmware guy said premium avatars will be available in the COMING MONTHS not with the release of 3.00. i had the same misconception and was all wheres my avatars to at first.

yo mike can i get a job lol

DoctorSalvador 1 October, 2009 @ 5:26 pm   312

Oh, and posting all the PSP games that are already available just to make the update look bigger is pretty sly.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 5:33 pm

No, it was to show new users to the store and the PSP the amount of games available (also quite a few of the games the US blog listed this week are new for them, but we’ve had for a while). Yes we didn’t have a massive amount of new titles to the store, but we now have over 125 PSP games, and with minis and PSOne Classics included, we have nearly 190 games available – that’s a fairly good offering in my opinion.

Yes it could be bigger, and certainly will be, so you can expect more and more games coming to the store in the coming months.

almighty-slayer 1 October, 2009 @ 5:27 pm   313

PSN cards aren’t in stores. At least, not where i am. I went to buy one. HMV, GAME, and Gamestation were all without both PSN cards or PSPGos

they said in the shop i bought my Go that it had to charge for 15 hours :l

and can we go get the Grand Turismo theme that gives the code for the game now?

gummypanda 1 October, 2009 @ 5:29 pm   315

Mike,

How come we could be waiting up to 30 days for GT psp or the rewards program?

Surely GT PSP could have been a redeemable code in the box like Rockband unplugged on US side instead of downloading a theme then waiting a week til a month for a code.

That made me chuckle, it reminded me of that time BBC mistook someone waiting in reception for an IT expert that was coming to give an interview with BBC News24, he was sat down in the studio and then the news reader turned to him and asked him about music downloads live on TV – the expression on his face was priceless, but bless him he went along with it! If you’ve not seen it look it up on YouTube :D

Lucreto 1 October, 2009 @ 5:35 pm   321

Hi Mike,

It is a good update and I am still surprised there are still people taking it out on you.

You do a hell of a job with over 71 replies no other person gives such dedication. We know you have to work with what you given but some people don’t understand that. I am sure you knew the risks this job entails as a lot of EU people have gotten the short end of the stick for years and you are the outlet.

I am looking forward for Suikoden and Grandia to appear in the store as the US had suikoden for some time and yet to get Grandia but I don’t come and moan week after week like others with MGS. I will wait until you get the nod from Konami and Square Enix.

I just posted to say I appreciate the hard work you do and ignore all the moaners and don’t take it to heart. :)

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 5:38 pm

    Thanks dude.

I do understand when people get frustrated though, and I am always willing to listen and respond when I can. There’s always room for improvement though, and we’ll keep doing what we can to meet your expectations (within reason – lottery numbers, and moons on sticks are not easy to come across) :P

Opt1mus76 1 October, 2009 @ 5:52 pm   334

Its ridiculous that while trying to promote move towards digital downloads with PSP Go that commercial game prices are so high especially with the initial £200+ outlay (and the Go doesn`t even come with a case or wrist strap!). £31.99 is obscene for NFS Shift and Dirt 2 can be found for less than £20 on UMD. Hardly the way to encourage the Download Revolution when surely downloads don`t have the overheads of physical media. Should say that Tetris & Pinball Fantasies are great launch releases although I`d love to see this,Pinball Dreams, Illusions and Slam Tilt in full HD on PSN or at least as Minis now.

Pablo2008jedi 1 October, 2009 @ 5:53 pm   335

doh, store ot updated yet :P

Stalker11 1 October, 2009 @ 5:55 pm   336

Just want to say thanks to Mike for answering about the issue of some DLCs not being available in all the countries with the same BLES code.

We mainly complaint here, and it’s understandable Mikes position.
Not that i’m satisfied, but I appreciate the attention.

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 5:56 pm   337

blaikieboii 1 October, 2009 @ 6:01 pm   341

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 6:03 pm

Hehe no worries, we prioritised the PSP Store and Media Go updates first this week, so we’re putting the finishing touches for the PS3 update together now :)

SpiderMike_X 1 October, 2009 @ 6:03 pm   342

@341- cos its HUUUUGE!!!

Raider197 1 October, 2009 @ 6:06 pm   343

I just bought my first PSN Game! Thank you PSN Cards! I’ve had a PS3 since day one too, so I’m quite happy :-) Thanks for the cards! Hope you make lots and lots of money out of ‘em ;-)

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 6:08 pm   344

i knew about the legal issues ty redeye but that doesnt mean that someone some where behind the scene s isnt trying to get it back, id be happy just to get a simple yes or no , because id hate to think that there wasnt

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 6:22 pm

It would be nice to get it back onto the store, but I don’t have any information at the moment.

@Mike

Yes sure we have maybe 190 PSP games, but honestly there is a huge difference between NA and EU in therms of quality of the games and quantity. PSP GO is download only and i feel a bit treated, as usual, like the last wheel of the truck (as we say in Italy), plus i’ve payed 250€ for a GO that in EU have the last interesting choice of games (there are tons of RPG’s in the NA store, we have 3!). That’s not a good start, in my opinion.

Dante_Zero 1 October, 2009 @ 6:16 pm   346

great news about FF8, can you make it clear if minis can only be played on PSPgo or will some be compatible with PS3. also why are some ps3 able to be played on GTA vice citys stories etc. I would luv to know as i havent invested in a PSPGO yet due to the fact that most of my gaming time is on my PS3 and i dont travel enough to warent the cost of a PSPgo.

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 6:16 pm   347

@ rob_dee81 i know mate but the answer will be a no “legal issues” means money and money means NO lmao. but seriously sony wont spend money on reconciling legal issues they would rather just ignore it. sorry mate thats just the way it is.dont think i accept that though im just im numb to it all lol

Robert5050 1 October, 2009 @ 6:16 pm   348

Will we be seeing square enix psp titles like crisis core and dissidia final fantasy?

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 6:20 pm   349

Redeye, looks like you’re trying to match my reply tally – bring it on then, first to 100 wins, hehe

cant even begin to rival you mate im using the ps3 browser and a plain old pad with no text thingy give me a job and sit me at a desk at scee and your on lol

seriously though give me a job!!

Bovrillor 1 October, 2009 @ 6:20 pm   350

Pretty much all those PSP games can be found much cheaper on Amazon or in a shop. Lame.

Soul Calibur is £15 new on Amazon, the GTA games are £5, God Of War is £8 in Game/Gamestation.

GraemeFindlay74 1 October, 2009 @ 6:21 pm   351

Hi Mike,

Why does the UK PS3 Store seem to get updated later and later each week even though we know what is about to appear?
I’m sure that I used to get home from work around 17:30 to find the new content but last week I waited until 19:00. It doesn’t look any more promising this week :(

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 6:27 pm

I admit recently we’ve been later than usual. Last week we were back to normal with a late afternoon publish, but the weeks before we had publishing issues, and this week is just because of the sheer enormity of new content, we should be back to normal again next week.

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 6:22 pm   352

seen as though mike isnt saying your wrong redeye i assume u must be correct , * waves bye to dream of playin silent hill 1 again , sob

blaikieboii 1 October, 2009 @ 6:23 pm   353

ok yh mike, as ur new products coming out i understand why you’d proritise it

Scourgewood 1 October, 2009 @ 6:34 pm   354

Mindblowing Mike, that’s all I got to say! Just wish I had more money to buy all these games. Have to admit, this MASSIVE update definitely compensates for the lack of “detuned” ;)

Just out of curiosity. I’ve noticed on these blogs, FFVIII has been mentioned to be coming out on the UK store, does that mean FFIX will come out too? And if so, will all the prior releases come out too? Would love to play FFVI on the PSP. If that’s the case and Squeenix are feeling generous, maybe we’ll get all the relevant Square releases on the store!! Well here’s wishing anyways. ;D

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 6:35 pm   355

@mike it just froze on me trying to refresh the page lol still though not bad for being at a disadvantage though. yo you got a psn name? psn it if you want to settle this on a game of mag or somthing oh how about a mw2 match first to a hundred kills that would be a better challenge how about it? (of course not till 10/11/09)

KylieDog 1 October, 2009 @ 6:36 pm   356

Another week the US store gets great PS1 classics and we get crap.

Europe Sony biggest market and get treated worst. Just means another week I spend money on Wii and 360 downloadables instead.

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 6:39 pm   357

@mike rob_dee81 of course im right i dont post poinless lies mate i simply enjoy sharing my knowledge with you all.and of course im liking the attention never posted before today and i have had a ton of replies.im bitten with the blog bug lol

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 6:41 pm   358

you had the time to splat the new supermutant overlords and get to grips with the broken steel pack yet mike? i heard you were a big fan

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 6:51 pm

Downloaded the pack last night, finished the main questline of the game and now moving through the rest when I get home tonight ;) Can’t wait…

“I admit recently we’ve been later than usual. Last week we were back to normal with a late afternoon publish, but the weeks before we had publishing issues, and this week is just because of the sheer enormity of new content, we should be back to normal again next week.”

Not acceptable!
The US store was updated at about midnight to give the new PSP Go owners something to download.
And SCEE have had a whole week to upload this stuff, so what is the real excuse?
It’s now 18:47, still nothing.
I’m glad I didn’t get a PSP Go, I’d be even more annoyed.

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 6:51 pm   360

ok mike look forward to your message yo check out my trophy list if you like that sort of thing believe it or not i used to be no.1 in the world for trophy only breifly of course but still no.1 none the less oh and your a fallout fan huh mike i have all skills at 100 and every unique weapon in the game also all 165 locations(to date) scraped clean of everything beat that

gazzagb 1 October, 2009 @ 6:52 pm   361

What time will the store be updated roughly Mike?
Cant wait! =D

I don’t see why things have to be published on the day? Seriously There has to be some kind of way for you to get all the content you want up and preloaded just not allowing us access to it until thursday at a set time, rather than this frankly unprofessional shuffle we do every week, were people sit around and guess in which hour we will get our content.

I’m not having a go at you mike, it just sounds like your working with a [DELETED] awful system :/

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 6:57 pm   363

8.00pm read mate read or do you not know how?

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 6:57 pm   364

lol atleast get ur facts sisee before “trying” to tell mike off………if USA is so great why dont u emigrate?

greekgoddj 1 October, 2009 @ 6:58 pm   365

For once I am very happy to see that the two games I was interested in, have not been priced higher than in the US store. (Tetris and PJM Deluxe). Already bought them :o)

Now I am looking forward to EU Store releasing UNO! :oP

NickDude 1 October, 2009 @ 6:59 pm   366

i am not buying a psp go, even though id like one – £225? forget it. go to £150, we will talk then.

@365 Thats as likely as a Disgaea 3 Trophy Patch, or Metal Gear Solid ever hitting ;)

Croopnick_PL 1 October, 2009 @ 7:02 pm   368

I don’t have PSP, but when I look in PSP section in Store…there is no update. It’s SCE Poland fault?

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 7:04 pm   369

lol @ nick bartering for a PSP Go ……youve been watching too much bargain hunt mate :D

kizalini 1 October, 2009 @ 7:06 pm   370

@328 Braveheart07 – Check your local Game store. My local one is opening at Midnight to sell Fifa 10!!
Mike, read your blog every week, and seems you have to put up with more each week!
I guess you will never do a live video feed on this blog, with the amount of swear words and things thrown at your screen!!)
Keep up the good work dude!!

rob_dee81 1 October, 2009 @ 7:07 pm   371

UPDATE IS LIVE YAY………

EthaN2k7 1 October, 2009 @ 7:08 pm   372

These late updates suck :(

What happened to the days of old when it would be up at like 4pm? By the time I’ve downloaded the Fallout DLC and installed it I won’t have time to play it :[ This and FIFA not arriving, bad times haha.

NickDude 1 October, 2009 @ 7:09 pm   373

@rob_dee i do love some bargain hunting.

EthaN2k7 1 October, 2009 @ 7:09 pm   374

Sorry for double posting, but it’s saying I’ve already purchased The Pitt? :|

I’m at the third step of the PSP Reward process.

I have the Reward theme showing on both my PSP and PSP Go.

When I try to download it from either I get an error (8055102F) .

I have tried: Re-logging. Rebooting. Changing Router. I can download other PS Store items without problem.

HELP ME.

NickDude 1 October, 2009 @ 7:11 pm   376

i cant see how the current layout of the playstation store can handle all this content, it will just get lost. It needs an itunes style coverflow for all the psp games on there, with their retail boxes as their images.

jaewon_UK 1 October, 2009 @ 7:17 pm   377

Just a question about the PSP GO Rewards. On the blog titled ‘PSP Go available now’ one of the possible 3 free titles says Socom Fireteam Bravo 3, but in the list it just says Socom Fireteam Bravo. Which one is it? Because if its 3 then I will hold back a free download until then. Cheers.

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 7:17 pm   378

I just purchased “Fallout 3: The Pitt” the expansion and it activated and started downloading operation anchorage!!

Is anyone else getting this problem?

Croopnick_PL 1 October, 2009 @ 7:18 pm   379

Mike I repeat: There is no sight of PSP update in Polish Store!
No “Minis”, no “GT”, “GoW”…etc.
What the hell?!?!

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 7:19 pm   380

And now on the PSN store screen I have a little Red bag next to both the expansion packs that were released today.

QuietlyWrong 1 October, 2009 @ 7:19 pm   381

Cool update – just when I buy a PS3, everything starts coming out for the PSP. T’ch.

Just started downloading Need For Speed: Shift demo. 850+ Mb. That’s about four hours by my connection. I’ll be in bed by the time it’s finished. Oh well. Something to look forward to after work tomorrow. As well as the weekend. :)

@TheHappyTurtle: Yeah, me too. Rather annoying considering I spent ages deciding which one to get.

Mon-Da-Hoops 1 October, 2009 @ 7:20 pm   383

Hi Mike

I just tried to download the Pitt add on for fallout 3 but when i got past the payment part operation ancourage showed up and the store. Needless to say i am not happy i payed £8 for the Pitt and i get Operation Ancourage how could i go about correcting this?

Thanks

SpiderMike_X 1 October, 2009 @ 7:22 pm   384

I have the same problem with the Fallout 3 DLC. Purchased Pitt first and its now showing both pieces of DLC purchased but only one in my download list.

Mon-Da-Hoops 1 October, 2009 @ 7:22 pm   385

And yes i did click the correct box on the store other people are reporting this problem aswell

Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 7:23 pm   386

We’re looking into the Fallout 3 packs issue right now – I’ll feedback asap!

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 7:23 pm   387

lol, hopefully we’ll get both to compensate for the “deep mental disturbance” suffered here today. After all who want’s to goto Canada eh?

C_Stewie 1 October, 2009 @ 7:23 pm   388

Mike, can you help please? I just tried buying the Pitt. It told me that it was unavailable at 1st but now it tells me that I have already bought it, even though the store didn’t charge me and it’s not in my recent downloads! Help please?!

C_Stewie 1 October, 2009 @ 7:24 pm   389

Oh, others are having the problem too, thank god I’m not alone! lol, sorry Mike.

J_JonNY_M 1 October, 2009 @ 7:24 pm   390

Got same prob as 381&382 help

I was going to buy both but The ‘real’ operation anchorage says i have bought that too. Please help

J_JonNY_M 1 October, 2009 @ 7:25 pm   391

I can see others have this problem too

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 7:26 pm   392

lol, now it’s stating that I bought the operation anchorage and not the pitt.. Luckily the email receipt that was sent through seems to be correct

BlueFlameSkulls 1 October, 2009 @ 7:27 pm   393

Erm.

I tried buying the Pitt and for some reason it’s downloading Operation Anchorage.

It’s also said I’ve bought both (by the red shopping bag icon) when I’ve only tried the download one of them.

I can’t even attempt to buy the other one.

fish1001 1 October, 2009 @ 7:27 pm   394

same for me 2???

BlueFlameSkulls 1 October, 2009 @ 7:28 pm   395

heh disregard my post. A lot more people have commented on it before I managed to post.

Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 7:28 pm   396

REGARDING FALLOUT 3 ISSUE

All fixed now, wrong entitlements were linked to the packs, so they are now both correct.

If you download The Pitt you’ll get The Pitt, and if you download Operation Anchorage that’s what you’ll get.

For those who have downloaded already, please delete the download and try installing again from your download list, if you still get the wrong pack please contact Consumer Services and they’ll sort you out a refind and you can try again.

So very sorry for this!!!

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 7:29 pm   397

Could you please give us the customer services email?

J_JonNY_M 1 October, 2009 @ 7:32 pm   398

It’s kool m8 was gonna get both anyways xD

Agamer2006 1 October, 2009 @ 7:33 pm   399

Hey mike, it seems to have not worked, as I did choice to buy Pitt and it give me Operation Anchorage I deleted the download went back to the store and It still only lets me download Operation Anchorage, it says I have to buy Pitt. How long would a refund take

Stadionfeger 1 October, 2009 @ 7:33 pm   400

why i cant find the fifa content when i search for it?

J_JonNY_M 1 October, 2009 @ 7:34 pm   401

Operation: Anchorage is a very fast download. I’m at 74% already :)

Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 7:36 pm   402

The only contact information I can find is within the About Us section of the store (press SELECT and scroll across two, and down a bit to find the email address that is used for your country).

Agamer2006 1 October, 2009 @ 7:36 pm   403

Was planing to get both but was gonna get pitt first. I have just got broken steel, so I will pick up another card tomorrow and buy pitt and keep Operation Anchorage

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 7:38 pm   404

I found the customer support email address for my country at the bottom of my email receipt, I’m guessing the individual countries will be at the bottom of peoples respective emails

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 7:39 pm

It’s likely to only have affected UK users anyway, as the other countries are still mid-publish.

Stadionfeger 1 October, 2009 @ 7:39 pm   405

thanks mike for your replies :)

You know, I’m taking this as a sign I should just have both DLCs. Thanks for the quick response to the issue though, Mike. Much appreciated.

Agamer2006 1 October, 2009 @ 7:44 pm   407

Poor Mike, I hope you get to go home soon as its about 7:45 now and you must have been working all day

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 7:45 pm

Haha, it’s been a fairly long day yes, but even longer for the store build guys – spare a thought for the whole team ;)

Am currently putting together the update for next week, so can’t stop just yet :P

blaikieboii 1 October, 2009 @ 7:49 pm   408

yh, operation anchorage baby! thats my weekend aken up :)

blaikieboii 1 October, 2009 @ 7:49 pm   409

yh, operation anchorage baby! thats my weekend taken up :)

The store is still not updated, it seems…

I don’t blame anyone, but I don’t think I’ll be able to play the Brütal Legend demo tonight… :(

RobinShido 1 October, 2009 @ 7:51 pm   411

You UK guys may be glad at least you get the Fallout DLC, eventhough wrong titled. We german speaking people still have to wait for it. *sad*

TheIsotope 1 October, 2009 @ 7:52 pm   412

Final Fantasy 8 is coming to PSN store???? Is that true?

TheIsotope 1 October, 2009 @ 7:59 pm   413

If so would it be out before christmas? :D

Icarus_Immortal 1 October, 2009 @ 8:01 pm   414

Absolutely great update, I’m a happy PSP-to-PSPgo owner since my favourite games is now on PSS (except MGS: Portable Ops and some RPGs). Fantastic job, everyone at SCEE (Mike, Playstation Store Management Team, SCEE as a whole), I love you guys!!

Can’t wait for the next initiative from SCEE! (hopefully Video Store)

Skookie30 1 October, 2009 @ 8:02 pm   415

i just downloaded the dynamic theme for free hehehe is that or was a mistake as well you paid the price i got free lol :D anyboby esle got it

Agamer2006 1 October, 2009 @ 8:04 pm   416

I thought It was meant to be free.

Namenos 1 October, 2009 @ 8:05 pm   417

No the updates don’t fill me up with joy and i love playing games!
Only i love playing RPG and except for Final Fantasy VII there isnt enough content about rpg’s that’s good…

I’m still puzzled why our store (european store) is nothing compared to the us and japan stores…i’m really frustrated about the fact that compared to the other stores this is all the europeans get.

With all respect, but i think you should listen to the people cuz the most people i know are complaining too and that’s a lot of people.

We want Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Wild Arms (1 and not the XF), Legend of Dragoon, legend of legaia, grandia, etc…

Hoping for an answer on the question if there are coming more games and classics on the store (soon), if there are coming other (good) rpg’s and/or we have to wait forever for more games and content on the store…

with much respect,

a frustrated and disappointed large group of gamers

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:08 pm

Believe me I do know all the things that gamers feedback on about the PSN Store, and we’re doing as much as we can – a lot of it is behind the scenes that you don’t see firsthand, but we’re doing what we can.

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 8:06 pm   418

Does anyone know if people are working at playstation support after hours. Looks like we’ll have to wait till tomorrow to play the pitt :(

Oh well these things happen

Skookie30 1 October, 2009 @ 8:06 pm   419

no look at the list it say £1.59 hehehe

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:09 pm

That may be my mistake, not sure, I’ll have to check in the morning when the rest of the office are in ;)

katsuo7171 1 October, 2009 @ 8:06 pm   420

Hey Mike,

Since Grace hates the US community and you reply to the EU I wanted to get an answer to a question I’ve been asking for 4 weeks on the US blog.

Did Sony scrap the avatar idea. I mean you release a firmware update and don’t live up to the expectations by not delivering the content. All I want to know is, did we scrap the idea or do the Sony devs suck at coding a picture into the store, or are their technical difficulties.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:08 pm

The idea has not been scrapped, but I don’t know anymore than that at the moment. I keep asking for information, and when there is a concreate plan, information to be shared, we’ll update the blogs ;)

Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:10 pm   421

Oh and if anybody hasn’t downloaded it yet – grab the Army of Two: 40th Day – A Day In The Office trailer, that is some funny stuff!! Great effort EA with that one :P

TheIsotope 1 October, 2009 @ 8:10 pm   422

Mike just is it true about FF 8 coming to PSN store? :D

MitchKoobski 1 October, 2009 @ 8:11 pm   423

Mike please help! I paid my €10 for TMNT:Turtles Tn Time and then when i downloaded it, it was only the full game unlock, and the Trial is nowhere to be found!!

What do i do now?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:12 pm

The trial is on the store, I’ve seen it with my own eyes – perhaps log out of the PSN and log back in, and it should have appeared.

I hope you find it on there buddy.

Oh and by the way – this was my 100TH REPLY this week, I feel pretty uber now, hehe :P

The_Snowstone 1 October, 2009 @ 8:11 pm   424

Why doesn’t the Portuguese store has Hercules? If it’s in the European store shouldn’t it be in Portugal too?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:27 pm

The publisher did not submit it for releease in some countries I’m afraid.

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 8:12 pm   425

Taun_89 1 October, 2009 @ 8:15 pm   429

OK… I’ve been waiting for the Pitt for months trusting in SONY, but what’s going on?! That is not the first time, if you are not going to put it on the store do not announce it please.
If someone knows why fallout DLC is not at the store yet, please tell…

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:17 pm

I’ll field this question again, because to be fair you’ve obviously missed my many responses to this matter – but the Fallout 3 DLC is only appearing on English speaking stores at the moment, the remaining countries will see it at some point, but I cannot confirm dates just yet.

TheIsotope 1 October, 2009 @ 8:18 pm   430

Oh last one hopefully i will get a reply from Mike i think he doesn’t like me from when i argued before :P i did apologise though anyway great update PSP every were i love it! :D

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:20 pm

No, no, I’m not ignoring you promise Thelsotope ;) – I’m just trying to not say anymore about what you were asking, I’ve got a feeling I may have put my foot it in again…

RedeyeCult 1 October, 2009 @ 8:19 pm   431

katsuo7171 1 October, 2009 @ 8:20 pm   432

Thank you Mike that’s all I needed.

Can you come to US and do our store updates? It seems like Grace hates her job.

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:30 pm

I know that’s not true katsuo, Grace is a busy lady – I was just very eager to be the one from our UK team to do the weekly store posts on our blog ;)

Onna76_NL 1 October, 2009 @ 8:21 pm   433

PSP Go releases, and where are the classics, HAH?! I shouldn’t be, as I download my classics from the US store, at least “they” care. Publisher crap… bwah, don’t give me that. America has all the Tomb Raider games, European games (!) and we’re still waiting! No MGS, no Suikoden, no Resident Evil, no Gex (European!), no Um Jammer Lammy, nothing! At least at the time of PS releases we got them sooner than now.

I’m done complaining around here, as apparently no one listens anyway.

RobinShido 1 October, 2009 @ 8:21 pm   434

@Taun_89
And what’s more to add is that you shouldn’t blame Sony but Bethesda…

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 8:22 pm   435

@RedEyeCult mine’s still stuck on operation anchorage, don’t want to play fallout 3 now as it’d corrupt my saved games when I have to uninstall the expansion.

P.S. how do I go about uninstalling the expansion, can’t see an icon for it under my “Games” menu

TheIsotope 1 October, 2009 @ 8:22 pm   436

Oh ok thanks anyway Mike if the rumors we’ll say are true about FF8 then :D :D

Onna76_NL 1 October, 2009 @ 8:22 pm   437

@The_Snowstone, no only the UK has it, apparently they are the most important in Europe.

briankearon666 1 October, 2009 @ 8:23 pm   438

Am i missing something?
The update says that there are supposed to be loads of games for the PSP today. But it litterally only shows 36 psp items(games and dlc packs) in the newest PSP section of the store.
Prinny packs are available, but the game isn’t. Any info?

    Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:26 pm

That’s the right amount you should be seeing in that section, the big long list at the end of the update is just to show new users of the store/PSP how much content they can get their hands on via the store.

The full game for Prinny will be available very soon.

Scourgewood 1 October, 2009 @ 8:25 pm   439

Anything in the pipeline about other Final Fantasy re-releases Mike?

Scourgewood 1 October, 2009 @ 8:30 pm   440

How much notice would a publisher give you for ps1 games?

Mike Kebby 1 October, 2009 @ 8:31 pm   441

Okay, I’m not being ignorant, but I need to go home – my eyes feel like they’re about to bleed (or something equally horrific).

Have a good evening all, I’ll maybe try and reach 200 replies tomorrow! :P

Taun_89 1 October, 2009 @ 8:32 pm   442

Maybe Bethesda is who I have to blame but I needed an explanation, the autumn has arrived with lots of great games, I only wanted to enjoy fallout3 before buying more games.

briankearon666 1 October, 2009 @ 8:35 pm   443

Thanks for the reply mike. i get it now!

The prices of these games seems absurd for some of them. Three year old games that are €10-15 in the shops are retailing for €20 or more on psn. No platinum psp game should be priced at €20 or more. Crazy!

jenailik 1 October, 2009 @ 8:39 pm   444

What the content of the Rock Band Unplugged Started pack?

Just the game without songs or something?

RobinShido 1 October, 2009 @ 8:41 pm   445

@Mike have a nice eve and dream of much more nice updates ;)

@Taun
Yeah, I hoped to play it too, but as you sure may know Bethesda isn’t communicating that open. If you just remember all the bugs and problems at the time of the release of FO3

No Fallout 3 DLC again in the Netherlands?
F you Sony!

This is the F@ck1ng UK blog, not the EU blog.

Get your releases syncronised!

Taun_89 1 October, 2009 @ 8:47 pm   447

Mike, the next time try to specify before updating ;)

maxapbl4 1 October, 2009 @ 8:54 pm   448

ATTENTION! Do not download Turtles in Time!!!

I’ve just bought it and instead of a game, I just got a download of 6KB and nothing else. The money has been paid, but I don’t have the game while my account states that the games has been downloaded.

There is a huge problem in the Playstation Store, I think. (I am from the Netherlands)

Sony, fix it!

THORINATOR 1 October, 2009 @ 8:55 pm   449

Hey Mike,
I’m on the Irish PS store & someone else has already pointed out…There is no sign of the turtles in time demo, although the full unlock is available!

I tried logging off & then back on again, but still no luck.

Syphon87 1 October, 2009 @ 8:56 pm   450

I cannot see the two GTA games for PSP. Shouldn’t they be up tonight?

FFObsessed 1 October, 2009 @ 8:56 pm   451

*Kneels before Mike Kebby shrine*

Ohhh Kebby our lord and savior, grant us these following PS1 Classics:

Final Fantasy VIII
Metal Gear Solid
Resident Evil 1,2,3
Tomb Raider 1,2,3

Make it rain Kebby, make it rain!

*dances*

karmassacre 1 October, 2009 @ 9:02 pm   452

When will Jeanne D’Arc become available for download on PSN Europe. I know it was released in the USA on both UMD and in digital.

Please say its coming soon.

karmassacre 1 October, 2009 @ 9:03 pm   453

FFVIII and IX would be a beautiful thing on psp!

Jamie453 1 October, 2009 @ 9:04 pm   454

Hey mike, maybe you can answer this is the morning, but some of the PSP games you mentioned aren’t on the store, even after the update.
Patapon is one.

Any idea about this?

    Mike Kebby 2 October, 2009 @ 8:53 am

Very strange – all of the games I have listed are available on the store, not sure why you can’t see them, I certainly can :)

MitchKoobski 1 October, 2009 @ 9:04 pm   455

Mike ive looked all over the store and i still cant find the Trial version of Turtles In Time.all thats there is the full game unlock.

QuietlyWrong 1 October, 2009 @ 9:15 pm   456

@455 – I just looked on the (UK) store and did a search for “TMNT” – only the trial version comes up – not the unlock. Have you tried that?

TheHappyTurtle 1 October, 2009 @ 9:17 pm   457

There’s been a few issues this week, hopefully it’ll just be a blip after they had to squish in the PSP features.

QuietlyWrong 1 October, 2009 @ 9:25 pm   458

In all the fuss that’s mean made about the pricing for downloads, especially when compared with UMDs (which in general I’d agree with), I don’t recall anyone noticing that, in the UK at least, we’re paying less than the US for GT and MotorStorm:AE ($40 = £25) – surely this is a first in British Gaming History!

… just a shame the UMD editions are £18 from on-line stores.

Dutch_Rootsman 1 October, 2009 @ 9:26 pm   459

Where is Tetris?!?! The one mini I want to buy is absent…. outrage!!!

This is pretty crap launch line-up for the PSPgo. The US was respectable, PAL got the short end of the stick….AGAIN

TrevDaRev321 1 October, 2009 @ 9:37 pm   460

Hey I’m having trouble accessing Operation: Anchorage I downloaded it, started up Fallout 3 & Selected “Continue Game” and it just loads & loads & loads, thats all it bloody does. Is anyone else having this problem? Fallout 3 was working fine yesterday, but after I installed Operation: Anchorage and went to play it nothing happens it just loads.

Please Help, Mike, Anyone!!

Bad_Byte 1 October, 2009 @ 9:42 pm   461

@Mike “Believe me I do know all the things that gamers feedback on about the PSN Store, and we’re doing as much as we can – a lot of it is behind the scenes that you don’t see firsthand, but we’re doing what we can.”

With SCEE’s reputation I find that hard to belive that they are aware and are doing anything about it. Sigh… if only I had an US ip address and US debit card so I could get access to the real deal.
