So, we’ve finally arrived to this week’s update – I hope you’re all ready for the rundown, as there’s a lot of content on offer this week.
Usually I list the PS3 specific content first, but seeing as this week we’re all excited about the PSP Go launch, the new Media Go store launching (replacing the PC based Media Manager application), and the first batch of minis titles hitting the store, the PSP content list will take the headlining slot today.
The minis range of titles launches with games such as Tetris, Fieldrunners, Pinball Fantasies and Hero of Sparta available (amongst others), and these bitesize games (all under 100MB) come in under the £4/€5 mark and offer a lot of value for their size!
We also have brand new PSP games released such as Gran Turismo, MotorStorm Arctic Edge, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny (with our favourite God of War Kratos featuring as a playable character) and also available from Friday morning we’ll have FIFA 10 and Beaterator.
The games for PSP don’t stop there though, with a host of legacy titles hitting the store featuring such titles as Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Midnight Club L.A. Remix and God of War: Chains of Olympus. For the full list of content scroll down a bit further and have a look at the delights in their entirety!
Also, for the added benefit of those of you new to the store, or are new to the PSP family, I have provided a full run-down of all the PSP games available via the store, there’s quite a hefty amount of title available for you.
For those of you looking for the PS3 content, we have TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-shelled available (trail and full game unlock) and a plethora of demos with Brütal Legend, Need For Speed: Shift, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, and Up The Video Game ready for you to play. Fallout 3 has two new packs in the form of The Pitt and Operation Anchorage, and we also have additional content packs for LittleBigPlanet, FIFA 10, NBA Live 10 and others.
If none of that vast offering fills you with joy, delights, or hours of fun, then I have to question if you really enjoy playing games…well, do you? J
Until next week, take it easy and have fun!

@Mike
I understand difficulties for SCEE to publish titles on euro PSN, but the Italian store have far less PSP games than USA store, and i think you know that. I’m not saying that you are not doing a good work, i’m saying only that looking at the US store there is quality and number differences. EU PSN has always been left with far less titles than NA, but now the situation is simply intolerable, or at last it is for me.
Anyway can i ask if there is a way to report the translation errors i’ve found int the Italian PSN (1 game category plus 1 game mistyped (Soul Calibur is now Soul Caliber).
Thousand thanks.

Can you help me please Mike.
I just bought the FIFA10 DLC for £7.99, it’s taken my money but there’s no download. There’s no mention of it either in my ‘download list’, and there’s no option to download it anywhere either.
Yet my £7.99 is gone.
Help?
Posted on 2 October, 2009 at 12:03 pm by Mike Kebby
I apologise DeathPopRomance, I’ve just checked this myself and I got the same problem.
We’re fixing this now – you may need to email consumer services and get a refund and then try again, sorry
Posted on 2 October, 2009 at 12:20 pm by Mike Kebby
Okay, you don’t get a download in your list, you actually unlock the pack in the game itself – therefore it’s all working fine, you’ll find the mode will be available to you inside the game now
Sorry for the confusion there.

Hi Mike. (In reference to my comment (#125)) Why are there no plans to release them on the SA store? COD4 Map packs were, and I hope CODMW2 will be. Sorry to be angry but Im sure you can understand that it is frustrating to be denied DLC, something which Im sure Sony could sort out if they cared enough. Can you maybe tell me if the SA PSN store cards which will be released in SA later this month, will work on the UK store? Thanks

Are you trying make fun of us? So, Gran Turismo PSP for 36,99 eur – thats OK. BUT!!! Where did you take a price over 1200,- Czech koruna in Czech PSN store??? Even if was 1 euro=27 CZK (which isn’t – today is 26) then price should be roughly 1000,- CZK. Even my UK import on physical UMD was 750,- include shipping. Do you really think that somebody will buy from Czech PSN store??? On top that, it isn’t really czech store, because it’s completely in english. Weird is, that price on ie. Flower was OK. On other side ie. Disgaea3 DLC is for multimillionaries. Make something with it!!!

Does Funky Punch only work on the PSPGo? I’ve a PSP2000 and the game won’t load. I’ve tried ringing Sony but they didn’t have a clue about what to do.

I know i know, Fallout 3 DLC only in english stores.
My question is: then why do i get the broken steel image on the “what’s new” thing on my XMB?
Everyday i log on, see the broken steel logo there, “new” underneath, and select in in hopes it takes me to the store instead of an error :/

Hey Mike, thanks for the great update this week. Been waiting Brutal Legend for so long, didn’t get access to the early demo even though I preordered it long ago sadly.
Question though. I know you probably will answer no, or can’t say anything and therefore will say no, but I want to ask anyway. Since Entropay’s been blocked, is there any other way possible for me, and other European countries that speak English yet don’t get English content, to get access to the UK or US store again and buying what we want from there. The money will go to Sony and the developers either way, and it would a whole lot less complaining on this blog while this Fallout 3 drama (which I found very sad, since I’ve been a huge Fallout fan since the first game) continues?
And secondly, When (maybe if is more appropriate) the Fallout 3 DLC is ever released to us, will it still be available in English as well, since a Dutch DLC version won’t work with my copy of Fallout 3, and I really don’t want to rebuy the GOTY edition when I have the original lying here. I’d like to still get the DLC in English, not translated into Dutch or any other language.
Thanks in advance.

Mike, any news on the GT PSP Veynon DLC issue?
Posted on 2 October, 2009 at 4:56 pm by Mike Kebby
I’m hoping something will get posted on the forums soon regarding the issue – it is limited to the Play.com codes however, so we’ll be helping them out with some new codes for those of you affected…it would be a good idea to let Play now you have been affected though.

Why hasn’t the NZ store been fixed yet? We still can’t access the new Fallout 3 DLC. I’m starting to get more than a little annoyed.
Could the person responsible for this mess please be fired and replaced with somebody competent. Thanks.

“I’m confused, I can see them there – they have been released in NZ…”
I just checked again and they’re not listed in the New Releases section or the A-Z section.
On the front of the store there is an icon for The Pitt that cycles, but when I select it it doesn’t lead anywhere

@Arion87 – no SA psn cards don’t work in the UK store.
@NomadicWulf – you could try importing a psn card. though bare in mind that some dlc (usually game add-ons) is region locked.
537
Posted on 3 October, 2009 at 1:38 pm by twistedintoform
@Apnomis – i understand about fixed pricing, and i get what you’re saying, but there is one major difference between xblm and psn, and that is that sony charges additional fees to publishers for content on the psn (bandwidth charges and such) that microsoft does not. at the time industry analysts speculated that this could lead to publishers shying away from the psn, but i think we both know that wasn’t going to happen instead they’ve just passed the increases on in the dlc price. the CoD4 map pack is £7.99, but i checked my receipt, and i bought it for £6.99 which was before introduction of the additional charges. if you bought the CoD4 map pack for £6.80 on xblm, it’s actually no good to you unless you’ve also bought a subscription at extra cost. this could actually make it more expensive to play the rival console. i know for single player dlc like fallout3 that a gold subscription isn’t necessary, but i think largely because all xblm costs are subsidised by the membership subs (i prefer sony’s model). i largely agree with you though, i don’t think the additional costs are that high to warrant an increase from £6.99 to £7.99, i think publishers are doing some generous rounding. £7.49 (at most) might be fairer.

by the way, for fifa fans in the UK, get down to your nearest tesco, fifa 10 is on special offer for £24.97! this weekend only. though you might need some luck to find some left in stock.. the three stores in my area have now been cleaned out. if you can find one, you’ll save 15 quid which you can spend on the dlc and still come out quids in.

I can’t buy Fallout 3 DLC!
When I try to buy It, It says
“The credit card information on file is not valid”
Yet it allows me to enter them under account management just fine.
What’s happened? Why can I no longer use my debit card?
I bought the Fallout DLC fine last week..

Howcome Norwegian store got Fallout DLC and we dutchmens don’t? Damn this is starting to annoy me. Just wanted to play the DLC’s soooooo bad! We’re more than a week further, still no sign of the dlc, I just want a logical explanation! Not that it ‘just’ came out for the english countries earlier. Dutch gamesites all said that it will be available the 24th. Come on Mike, give us better news, at least an explanation why we’ve been told to get broken steel on the 24th? Dont wipe me of with the same old crappie explanation! or just ignoring me!
Ps: its really frustrating if you, as our link to PSN, tell your fellow countryman that you almost finished broken steel, while we are still cursing and hoping that is will come out soon!
sincerely.

In New Zealand.
D/L’d Broken Steel (worked ok to D/L, but I’d forgotten how buggy FO3 is…)…
But now can’t D/L The Pitt even though it’s up on the store (no content here).
Rubbish.
(and where the hell is my PlayTV Sony NZ? You promised it was coming and I bought a PS3 over a XB360 because of it… I’ve owned a v1, v2, now a v3 and won’t be buying a PS4 whenever they come out unless you regain my trust by living up to your marketing.)
(Grumpy? Yes – never get between an addict and his content.)
No thanks.

For the people who are wondering when the Fallout DLC will arrive in stores that don’t have them.
They wont, nada, Bethesda decided that they wont release the DLC on the Playstation store in non english countries. You can whine and cry all you want, but that wont change anything. The DLC will be available in the GOTY edition that will cost about the same as all DLC combined. Just be patient.. It will be released in a couple of days.

Hello there,
I bought the PSP Go system the 1st October but it happen that I stayed a little disapointed with it because of the lack of games available in the Playstation Store. The store doesn’t have a great choice for PSP Go users, great titles like Crisis Core: FFVII, Dissidia, Lara Croft Tomb Raider and others should be available
I Just hope we’ll be able to buy more contents in the store someday, a part of that the console is great (I was a owner of the PSP 1000 as well XD)

any idea how many psp games we can expect to see added weekly?
this update still leaves the selection lacking for pspgo owners, who have no other means of getting their games.
any any news on dynasty warriors strikeforce? the DLC is there but the game is not. will the full game be available any time soon?

Personally I think that they should had over 70% of the games in the Playstation store before lauching the PSP Go due to the non-existance of the UMD drive…
