So, we’ve finally arrived to this week’s update – I hope you’re all ready for the rundown, as there’s a lot of content on offer this week.
Usually I list the PS3 specific content first, but seeing as this week we’re all excited about the PSP Go launch, the new Media Go store launching (replacing the PC based Media Manager application), and the first batch of minis titles hitting the store, the PSP content list will take the headlining slot today.
The minis range of titles launches with games such as Tetris, Fieldrunners, Pinball Fantasies and Hero of Sparta available (amongst others), and these bitesize games (all under 100MB) come in under the £4/€5 mark and offer a lot of value for their size!
We also have brand new PSP games released such as Gran Turismo, MotorStorm Arctic Edge, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny (with our favourite God of War Kratos featuring as a playable character) and also available from Friday morning we’ll have FIFA 10 and Beaterator.
The games for PSP don’t stop there though, with a host of legacy titles hitting the store featuring such titles as Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Midnight Club L.A. Remix and God of War: Chains of Olympus. For the full list of content scroll down a bit further and have a look at the delights in their entirety!
Also, for the added benefit of those of you new to the store, or are new to the PSP family, I have provided a full run-down of all the PSP games available via the store, there’s quite a hefty amount of title available for you.
For those of you looking for the PS3 content, we have TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-shelled available (trail and full game unlock) and a plethora of demos with Brütal Legend, Need For Speed: Shift, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, and Up The Video Game ready for you to play. Fallout 3 has two new packs in the form of The Pitt and Operation Anchorage, and we also have additional content packs for LittleBigPlanet, FIFA 10, NBA Live 10 and others.
If none of that vast offering fills you with joy, delights, or hours of fun, then I have to question if you really enjoy playing games…well, do you? J
Until next week, take it easy and have fun!

Oh man, even when we get a huge update like this the US store just has to get an EVEN BIGGER update… and they managed to get 4 PSone classics while we got zero.
But you have to laugh at the price inconsistencies on the stores…
PixelJunk Mons. Dx: UK £9.99 US $19.99
but Fat Princess: UK £11.99 US £14.99
How do you work that one out!?

Why is God of War chains of olympus more expensive in the EU Store than in the US Store?
Usually it’s either euro = dollar or euro is slightly less than dollar price, which is the case for GT PSP and Motorstorm Arctic Edge ($40 equals €37), why is Chains of Olympus 20 euros here when it’s 16 bucks in the US?
€20 equals almost 30 dollars! That’s almost double the US price!
Please tell me you can have multiple PSN accounts on PSP too, so I can just use US PSN Cards for PSP games.

Excellent update this week – nice to see the store starting to fill up nicely.
Any news Mike on when the trophies patch for flOw will hit the UK as the Americans seem to have had it for ages now. I think the last thing we heard over here was that is was in QA and seems to have been there for months now.
Also please please add Um Jammy Lammy to the UK store PLEASE!

What a joke. The US got at least 4x as many PSP games today, including Prinny ($10/£6), and Disgaea 2 ($30/£18), and many, many more. This is embarrassing, I’m surprised you guys even showed up.
I was wondering whether to give the EU PSN one last chance, or to just buy everything from the US PSN. My decision is now made.

Still a lot of games that need to be made available digitally. I’d like to be able to move from my old PSP to a Go while continuing to play the games I’m currently working through, even if it means I have to pay for them again. Sadly I don’t even seem to be able to do that.
Posted on 1 October, 2009 at 2:10 pm by Mike Kebby
There are still a lot of games that need to be made available digitally yes, we’re working hard to get as many of them as possible.

Hey mike odd question.
Do you know when more info will be announced on when the Green PSP 3000 is coming out? my girlfriend keeps hassling me about it and you always seem to have a grasp on the info

@107 you can only have 1 account active on a psp at a time unfortunately
so IF you have a us account to DL stuff your other stuff won’t work anymore till you re activate it under your account

Hiya Kibby,
Nice update once again, lots of content.
Still, I’m very much displeased with the Fallout 3 DLC not being available for Belgium (and different other countries)!

Mike another fantastic update. Great to see so much variety starting tomake it’s way onto the store.
You may not be able to answer this but perhaps there is a shiny happy person holding hands next to you that you can garner info from, as I’m finding the EU Forum useless.
Do you know….if….the Eu version of Home will also get the 1.30 update today, like the NA verson, or whether there is a wait involved. Any feedback regarding this would be great.
Much obliged!

I’ve just been told that it is releasing today SpiderMike_X, hope that helps.

And still no Dissidia, SquareEnix should praise their lucky stars that my PSP is still undergoing repairs.
Or something to that effect.
Solid update btw, junior will be thrilled about TMNT Reshelled, we’ve played the demo from the US store like a gazillion times.
And dad of course will be thrilled about Brütal Legend *throws up horns*

I can see some peoples download limits getting spanked tonight! Brilliant line up for the launch of the PSPGo. Nice to see a good bunch of minis available day one to.
Keep up the good work Sony, i want to see as many films and TV shows available for the launch of the EU video store!

Unbelievable that even with an update this epic, people are STILL complaining. Guess I was right, and people really will moan no matter what Sony do.
Makes me wonder how many actually own a PlayStation, and how many are just trolling.

Bloomin’ ‘eck, them’s a lot of PSP games!
Still not quite as many as the US, but no surprise there. Plenty for me anyway and nice to see some more classic titles and those minis turning up.

Why are people still complaining? It is a great update! Just be glad that they give us new info and content every week, they don’t háve to. They only do it to make us happy
Oh and mike, do you have any info on if other previous released games (like lemmings earlier), or maybe even classics, will get a trophy patch? ? I’d love to see trophies for Rub a dub and Rampage for example
Please respond to me even if you don’t know anything about it so at least I can feel special and noted
Posted on 1 October, 2009 at 2:14 pm by Mike Kebby
By all means feel special and noted Volmer
I doubt those older games will get trophy patches now, for the time being consider the answer to be no, and if I get information to the contrary I’ll post again

at the rate them fallout dlc’s are going its gonna be £40 for all 5? but the goty edition will only be about that and thats with the main part of the game included, i thought dlc is supposed to be cheaper as no discs boxart and what not to deal with, and your psp games cost more than in the town! whats up with that?!…………

Fantastic update.
I am always slightly amused at the online pricing of major download games (Burnout Paradise, Gran Turismo, etc.) which almost always work out more expensive than buying them from play.com or game, etc. I would have thought the distribution costs for retail would make them more expensive than the download version. Both Sony and Microsoft are doing this so I guess there must be profit in it, but if the prices were lower I would buy loads more.

Quick reply, wow, you’re not helpful, this is what i said, nothing more.
My life is perfect, thanks for asking…

Listen, I’m helpful when I have some information. Most of the time I do have the information asked, but I’m not always ALLOWED to share it – a lot of information I deal with is senstive/embargoed until I am given the all clear to share it.
Unfortunately some peeople fail to understand this…

Little question Mike (sorry to bother you): Can we expect to see Dissidia: Final Fantasy on the PSP store in the near future?

I’m hopeful we’ll see it at some point

Hi Mike, you know what it may not have been as much as the US update but it’s still a great start, lets hope it continues.
Do you know a rough estimate when we will see these games, Half Minute Hero, Metal Gear Acid 2, Disgaea 2 and Ys 7?
Cheers, oh and to l0_t0, you have obviously never worked in a job where even if you know the answers it can cost you your job to divulge any info.
