Hi Guys, my name’s James Thorpe and I’m the product manager for PlayStation Network. I just wanted to let you know about the latest update to Media Go for PSP, available to download now.
The free PC software already lets you manage the games, movies, music and videos for your PSP but we’ve made a few improvements for you in Media Go version 1.2.
The first improvement is that you can now transfer play lists from your PC to your PSP, so you can have specific playlists ready to take with you on your PSP whenever and wherever you want.
We have also made some pretty big changes to the PlayStation Store on Media Go. The new user interface of the Store makes it much easier to use on your PC you’ll hopefully find it quicker and easier to find what ever it is your looking for.
One of the other updates to the store on Media Go is that you can now preview game images and videos, making it easier to see the games before you download them.
Hope you all find the updates useful and let us know if you think there is anything else we can do to improve Media Go.

Mac user here as well, and as everybody else here I would really appreciate a Media Go port for OS X.

I’ll echo everyone else’s pleas for a Mac version. Is there one in the works? Being a competitor of Microsoft, why force your users to use a Microsoft Operating System to be able to use your software?

I’m pretty surprised how many people want a mac version. (unfortunatly you’re not very likely to get one). I have a macbook as my own personal computer but this desktop vista pc would be ok for this. However I just tried to install it and got an error about temp files or something.
Seriously vista sucks. I mean I even disabled user account control and it still is messed up for this app. Maybe it will work on windows 7. I’m hopeful.

Yeah, I’d ditch my iPod if there was a Mac version. Heck, I might even get a PSP Go! (I have a 3000 atm.)

I would love to ask for a Linux version, but damnit, that would forget all the other platforms you wouldn’t develop for – so *please* let me purchase and organise downloads through a Web site!

I agree with Archonik. I paid € 11,99 for Media Manager Pro and after few months Sony released Media Go… pretty unfair…
I also agree about a Mac version of this software.

I’d be eager to see Media Go install without insisting on installing Quicktime as well. I prefer to use an alternative to Quicktime and was quite aggrieved to discover that Media Go refused to install without this. As the “Advanced” installation options amounted to little more than a choice of where to install to, I end up having to install and then later uninstall Quicktime. Not exactly a huge ordeal, but inconvenient nonetheless.

No doubt this will fall on deaf ears but…
ADD SUPPORT FOR RESUMING DOWNLOADS FOR GODS SAKE!
It’s no fun getting up to 1.2GB of 1.5GB worth of Resistance only to get one of the all too frequent connection errors!!! Right now since I have limited internet at home and need to keep venturing out to coffee shops for downloads of that size I’m finding it both costly and time consuming to download the damn games. The PS3 can do it, so why the hell not the PC.
And while I typed this my download crapped out AGAIN. Back to byte 0, how can you be taken seriously if you cannot add download resumption. And it costs you as well as it costs me as in the end I will have downloaded 5-10GB off your servers trying to get this game.
Some reward anyway (I got it due to ‘upgrading’ from my PSP-2000. It’s going to cost me more than it would have buying the UMD from retail! Any chance of a further reward for my mysery?!
