Hi everyone – it’s Dan (aka drexl) here with an update on PlayStation Home.
You’ll have noticed that we’ve moved to the new Home 1.3 client release. It’s full of new features, and improvements – we really hope you enjoy it!
This new release enables us to start offering new objects and items (including dice, hovercraft, camera and shrink potion) which mean that not only is the range of customisation and gameplay options increased, but that you can start to create your own games within Home, and raise the competitive bar with your friends when you’re hanging out in Home Square.
I’d like to point out that these items will be phased in over a period of weeks, so we’ll be starting with the camera first and adding new objects as soon as we can.
If you want to find out more information about what else is contained within 1.3, then the accompanying notes will be on the Home forums as well, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to get the full skinny about this new release.
In the meantime, for those of who haven’t been in Home for a while – come back and have a look at how we’ve changed! There is a lot more to see and do than ever before, including spaces for inFamous, Resistance, Burn Zombie Burn, and much more. Come and join the fun, make some new friends, and have a good look around.

The US Home Servers are giving a free PSP Go Item to users if you watch the PSP Go advert in Home, do we get anything like that? No!
We just get some stupid claws WHICH I CAN’T EVEN FIND!

I find it very ignorant of Dan to comment on peoples replies…yet he totally ignores the comments from people struggling to even get home running, due to the fact they are stuck on the initialising screen.
DAN give these people an answer, and let them experience Home like everyone else. I too cannot access Home due to the above problem!
Will Home ever come out of beta mode???

Dan you talk alot of BS global planning???? if you did that every region would have the same HOME so shut up tell us the real reason is it because ps3 sells really well in europe but in japan and america dont sell as much so you give them better features like ps1 classics and a video store they got bout a year ago also they have pulse and qure or watever and wen you sign up you get a chance to beta test games. when america has universal health care im movin there and workin wit microsoft they know how to treat every region equally and xbox has better features like playin music in game. ps3 doesn’t even recognise my ipod and xbox does last time i checkd microsoft and apple are rival companies. and christ!! update 3.0 1 month later still no avatars all i want to do is get rid of the grey boxes in the friends list i didnt even want them but now i do to get rid of the grey boxes wats da point in gettin a dynamic theme wen its blockd cause of the grey boxes so stupid. maybe i should work for sony wen im done wit college u need help

hello people from a blog. i am from portugal and i want to know when the playstation people send some thing to let us play games from ps2 in a playstation 3. because i have some games that i love to play and heny time i want to play i have to instal the other. thank you and i am sorry whith my english

I tried home when it first opened and the constant loading and having to queue(Duh)to play anything put me off for a long time.
I read somewhere that a lot of content had been added so I thought id try it, but it gets stuck on “Initializing…’.
Honestly for me, forget Home and do more things like Vidzone, its great.

Im also waiting for a response to why I cant update my Play TV either. i sent a mail through this site abot two months ago and still heard nothing.
In theory it should be 1.10 I believe, but when I check the version in the application it just says –
Ive tried re installing and everything, sorry I know its off topic, but not had chance to ask anywhere else.

i’ve tryed deleting home from XMB then reinstall and it STILL DON’T work.
plz explain as to why its broke!!!

Been 5 days since my post and still no reply, for other OP’s it’s been much longer yet still no reply. I, like some others, feel let down that SCEE feels they don’t have to provide a service to all it’s console owners…because we’re the minority doesn’t mean we have to be ignored.
