Howdy all, I hope you’ve had a good week!
It’s been pretty hectic here since last week’s store update (and Media Go store launch), but that’s not to say we haven’t been busy putting together more content for you this week. We should also be back to normal service regarding update times, but we’ll update the post once the stores are live (I believe Jem may even be planning to tweet you all once it’s live too).
I think we’ve carried on the PSP momentum fairly well this week, with a few more minis titles available; Sudoku, Mahjongg Tales, Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam, (and made those released last week available to some additional stores) another batch of PSP games such as Tomb Raider Legend, Daxter, Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman! and Prinny? Can I Really Be the Hero?, as well as NBA Live 10 releasing this Friday. We have also added some special offers to the PSP Store (and Media Go) and more information on these can be found in the content list below.
Our PS3 content also grows this week, with the addition of two games, Comet Crash and Digger HD, whilst we also finish off the Fallout 3 DLC with the final two packs Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta. There is also additional content this week for Red Faction: Guerilla, IL2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey, Topatoi, LittleBigPlanet, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 , Guitar Hero 5 and Rock Band.
Does any of that appeal to you? What are you going to be planning to download and play this week? What do you want to see coming to the store? Leave your feedback in the comments section and as usual I will respond to those questions that I can, or I’ll just leave some random responses (which will get more random as the day goes on) which won’t necessarily answer your questions, but may leave a smile upon your face.
Okay, that’s enough from me. Take it easy all.

So glad badman has made it will buy that today, really pleased with the amount of PSP content since the launch of the GO, hope you guys can keep it up.
But im still not upgrading to a GO, till you have Square Enix’s full support
I know you dont control the pricing but i am dissapointed with the prinny cost, will be waiting for that one to appearin the special offers section.

Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 12:36 pm by nick_gc
The cost of the full games is far too high. £31.99 for Prinny? Really? I bought it new in physical format with a printed materials, UMD case and the UMD for £24.99!

Bring on the Oddworld PSone series
I’ll buy them all in a blink of an eye. Oh, and Sony really needs to make the developers put out some demos… Damn, make it mandatory! How can I buy something if I don’t get to try it first… Just a thought. Good job though

When is the Fallout 3 content planned for the Netherlands, any idea?
Last couple of weeks we were teased by the Whats New icon – only to find nothing in the store anywhere.

Nothing for me this week Mike, but thanks again for trying………. Carry on!

Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 12:41 pm by newsky87
Well there’s a couple of things I’ll be on the Lookout for from Mothership PlayStation later so I won’t Fallout with you.
Kind of got my hopes up for a Motorstorm Arctic Roll demo this week though after asking last week, but I guess that’s my own fault for taking “soon” as “next week” D’oh!
The SimCity 2000 offer is tempting too, seeing as that’s the game that spawned my PSN ID, always called me city New Sky City for some reason!
Thanks and don’t work too hard! (I’m not
)

Two weeks

I’m going to pick up populous and magic carpet probably at that price.
But the prices of Badman and Prinny, two games I’ve been looking forward too for a while now are really steep in comparisson to the us store. I don’t want to buy them there, as it would count against eu sales and could result in less interest for NIS to release games on our side of the pond, but really…
Also I bought MHFU just this friday, which makes me feel a bit cheated,
but hey I’ll roll with it as it’s still cheaper than buying multiple copies to play ad-hoc.

Any plans for a GT psp demo mike?
also just noticed the price for prinny O.o

MM Music MAKER Pack?!?!? MAKER?!? What’s that about? I thought it was just new music.
Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 12:47 pm by Mike Kebby
Looks like the title has been changed without me knowing to the MM Music pack…
Therefore it’s NOT a music creation pack. There are three interactive music tracks (not sure how interactive these are?) and musical notaion stickers for your levels.

Chimpanzee, its interactive music + a few stickers.
Saw it mentioned in an addition to the brilliant List of LittleBigPlanet DLC list on Wikipedia

Another really good update this week, but hell NIS Europe need to re-think their pricing! I was going to buy Badman, but I don’t know now…that price seems rather high for what the game is. Would of been better off without the UMD release of that over here, and Prinny? Best not even mention the price of that lol
But I did pick up a £50 PSN card so I might just have to pick up a few things like Comet Crash, also tempted Disney’s Action Game feat. Hercules…I can’t help it, anything remotely related to Greek mythology tempts me.

Pretty good update this week. Sadly nothing for me though. Not because nothing interests me but because my PS3 is broken, out of warranty and I’m figuring it’ll be more worthwhile to get a new slim. Don’t worry though as this isn’t a complaint about Sony. They were very friendly actually.
So really I’m just after some sympathy. I miss Graham (that’s my PS3′s name). Sniff.
Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 1:00 pm by Mike Kebby
Sorry to hear about Graham

Not much for me this week but that’s ok cos I’m a bit short on money anyways. Bit annoyed that it seems you again have price-reduced something I’ve only just bought a couple days ago. I seem to always get caught out by that. My timing sucks.

These updates just get worse and worse…
;_;

Oh come on, one PSOne title that you don’t like a bad update does not make surely?
I appreciate that the title may not do anything for you personally, I’m not saying that, but one title does not sway how good an update is, does it?

Great to see Monster Hunter at a discount price! Was going to download it last night, but I thought I’d wait until today and see if anything happened – lucky me!
Glad to see Prinny out on the store too, but £31.99? Really? Even without the sale on the US store that’s overpriced. Hardly any PSP games these days are £25+, let alone above the RRP of £30. That price has put me off the game now – I’d have expected to pay half that, maybe £20 at max
I’ll be getting the LBP content though! The new tracks sound great. Any news on an LBP PSP demo Mike? Also, loads of questions I know, but any news on more Square Enix PSP games hitting the store?
Any info would be greatly appreciated! I’ll be playing Monster Hunter while I wait for my Gran Turismo and Rewards codes that still haven’t shown up <_<

Hi, when will you publish the PS1 classics release schedule?
Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 1:02 pm by Mike Kebby
I never said I’d publish the schedule, let’s put that to bed right now
What I said was that I’d try and put together a list of games that should be coming at some point, but it’s taking a while to get definite information.
86
Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 1:02 pm by Toothball
Could really do to see more PSP games up there so I can actually use my Go. I’ve ended up carrying both my older one and my Go around, which kind of defeats the point of getting the new one.
Also I’d like to see more of the PS1 games they have on the US store being made available in Europe. A friend showed me what was on offer there and left me appalled at the meagre offerings we get on this side of the Atlantic. Quite a few of them I would be very happy to buy (specifically the Wild Arms PS1 games), but it seems that my money is not wanted.
Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 1:05 pm by Mike Kebby
I did a count the other day, we have 127 PSP titles (full games) on the store (not including todays content) and the US store has about 165 – I know it’s a chunk of difference, but it’s not as big as some people imagine. We’re working on closing that gap, and getting the titles you really want, as quickly as we can.

mike can’t say anything about the price for non sony games (even tjo they can be downright repulsive)

What about the Fallout packs for other european countries?
Oh and I hope the prices for the packs are a mistake, they are WAY overpriced!

Oh, I want both of those Fallout 3 DLC, but it’s not long until Uncharted 2: Among Thieves release, and I need money for that too, and the new LED-TV I’m going to buy. And all those good games coming soon? It’s too many of them!

Posted on 8 October, 2009 at 1:08 pm by l_skynet_l
Who on earth chooses these PS1 ‘classics’?! The PS1 must have one of the largest game libraries in history (And one of the best), and all we get are the kiddie games.
When I got my PS3, I was hoping the store would give me the opportunity to play some of the rare or more obscure games, I might have missed the first time round.

Still no…
The Force Unleashed DLC
Race Driver GRID Eight Ball Pack
Tom Clancy’s HAWX DLC
Fallout 3 DLC
I’ll keep on remind either the publishers or you SCEE, so that whoever is responsible for this UNFAIR treatment gets some conscience… Portugal is also Europe, also SCEE.

I have provided a list of titles that we don’t have and the US does, and of other titles that you have mentioned yes.
