‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (22nd October 2009)

Any news on Critter Crunch? That’s a game I actually want to buy, that doesn’t happen often. I really wanted Comet Crash but then it was delayed 6 months in the UK and now I don’t think I’ll bother.

Probably a wise move not to release much in the way of full price games as it would be competing with Uncharted and Fallout GOTY etc.

The big game I’m looking forward to is Just Add Water’s great looking Gravity Crash, It will be the PSN Game of the year in my opinion.

Hi Mike! I was wondering what you said about Obscure having some issues with it cause i found it on Store through searhing and i downloaded it and it works. But i have noticed that it has been removed now from Store so was this faulty that i downloaded and if it was, will Sony refund my 30 euros?

if you’re a PS3 you should know EU gets screwed with most things but with borderlands out this week and uncharted 2 last week in stores i think the retail line-up makes up for the underwhelming PSN update.

Now I need to decide whether I want an Eye Pet dynamic theme or a Ratchet one! Oh the trials of choice Mike. I suppose I should blame you for that. It seems to be the trend on here!

Great update Mike. Looking forward to the Eye Pet stuff. I really like that game. I don’t care if that makes me childish!

I have to agree with HiddenAway. Do you know how much hassle it is not having the ability to hook my PSP up to the MacBook? It’s unbelievable hassle, that’s how much. So trot along and use the magical powers granted to you by the Gods of Sony to make a Mac version of MediaGo happen.

Also, I gotta say man, I feel for you that these rabid dogs all want Oddworld and FFVIII and all you’re able to offer is Hannah Montana. I think you’d probably get ripped apart in the street if they caught you, I’d watch your back when you leave work today. Don’t worry I’m too far away to do any ripping.

i keep repeating me-self but its true M$ does it, nintendo does it but poorly you need say usa wii to get usa wii VC games & wii-ware the wii points can be use on different wiis

so its regionalism to blame & come from it the excuse localisation.

Hey Mike. Nice to have Chinatown wars in europe, i’ll buy it right when it’s in the store.
But still sad to not have the oddworlds I was waiting for them since i have my first psp. I hope it will be up soon, not like mgs or silent hill, which are up in america for an eternity, and we still don’t have them.

didnt the co-op get patched already? I thought i read that they saw the problem and patched it within 24 hours.. maybe something to google ^_^

So Eyepet is out this week? Last I heard it was delayed til after christmas which is why I went out and bought a different present for my girlfriends kid instead. Have to get that too then. I’m quite intrigued by the game’s technology myself.

I’ll grab me Syndicate Wars and Future Cop while they’re price reduced. I enjoyed those on my PS1.

PS3 game wise I’m still just enjoying Uncharted 2 far too much to be bothered about anything else though I’m likely getting Ratchet and Clank sometime before christmas.

I would have liked more new games, but I’m happy you pushed forward Everyday Shooter with this promotion as the game really deserves to be better known.

Are Sony aware that people like me have actually purchased new PSP Go’s? Doesn’t seem like it….

Will probably get gta soon, but other than that this is another dull update…

Someone tell us WHY sony can’t release good ps1 games over here? there must be a reason, Scee can’t be that dumb

a lot of people want em so it would be great money makers.
but then again, i guess i live in europe so sony or others dont care what happens to us.
i used to get frustrated by this, but now i just shrug. its just the way it is, and it will never change.

Games have to be cleared in various localities before they can be released for digital download, so if something isn’t out on the Euro store yet, you should really be blaming the lack of total globalisation rather than Mike.

There’s a lot of anger here for a man who takes time out of his day to update you on the goings on. I’m sure he replies to the questions he is able/allowed to answer and if he doesn’t answer your question specifically it’s not a personal affront to your family honour. You do realise Mike isn’t the one who actually decides what gets uploaded to the PSN store and when, right?

Lack of Ratchet demo is more than a little disappointing escpecially when you consider it’s a Sony game and the US store will be getting it.

Hey Mike!, is it right that the non bundled eyepet will not be out before one month later?, it says so at the place I pre-ordered atleast, whats the reason for that?, it really tempts me to cancel it
and get the bundle, anything I can use two eyetoy cameras for?
Anyway, will the “magic board” for eyepet follow the standalone game aswell?, I suppose so if not it’s useless?
Need more info on this! , I suppose the bundle only have the eyetoy camera as extra and nothing else?

They have had middling sales over in the US but I know a ton of people who would buy the game if it were made available in the UK.

I’m starting to regret buying a PSP Go. There aren’t a lot of games available in the PSN store. What PSP Go owner would want to play a game with guinea pigs? I don’t get it.

the ps1 console had problems, the ps2 console had problems, this ps3 is haveing problems, the ps4 when it comes will have problems with games

look at my above post, how many bosses come & went in sony history but still the same crap stale “region locks”

i do belive the only thing to be region locked is the movies but games are different or should be.

An update so poor it has actually prompted me to be bothered to post again.
Once again all I can say is that the prices are extorionate especially the “dynamic” themes.
Maybe one day someone at Sony will listen and/or more PS3 users will not purchase from them.

Are we ever going to see Jeanne D’Arc for PSP in Europe/Australia?! Its already been translated into english and released on the US PSN, I don’t understand why we can’t buy it from the region where it’s actually set.

Damn some of you really need to get a life. Depending on content released on any given week, SCEE goes from being awesome to be terrible. Give them (and me) a break. Do you do the same with your brick and mortar retailer? Do you step into the store, look at what’s new on the shelves, and then go to the guy behind the register to congratulate/complain?
