Afternoon all; second post of the week, sick of me yet?
We have a varied offering of content this week, but the big news is that we’ll have Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars available for download on Friday! Also available on Friday is the release of the full game Hannah Montana: Rock out the Show, as well as four packs for the game too. That’s not all for the PSP this week however, as we also have WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2010, Marvel Superhero Squad, Astro Boy and G-Force available for you. The latest mini title is also added to the store, in the shape of Red Bull X Fighters.
For the PS3, the demo for NBA 2K10 is ready for you to try, as well as the first packs for EyePet (which is released in stores this week) so you can start customising your pet with some new content already. There are also free packs for Midnight Club Los Angeles and Cross Edge, and as usual more content for Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
We also have two new dynamic themes available this week, for the titles EyePet and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, and trailers for Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Dragon Age: Origins.
We’ve also added new titles into the Special Offers section this week too, with the full rundown of al content listed below.
As usual, you know where to find me…

I’ve got to ask! (Hopefully you’re still there to answer LL haha!)
Is this coming to the UK PSN store as well?
Lorne Lanning replied on October 20, 2009 at 11:32 pm
Hopefully, but that’s a PSN decision. Fingers crossed.

I’m enjoying Uncharted 2 too much to be upset over this weeks store update although it’s refreshing to see no zombie or tower defense games this week.

Let’s just hope that November will bring “Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning” http://www.eurogamer.net/game/dissidia-final-fantasy-universal-tuning- psp — if not then I’m going to be really down about buying my GO… Don’t get me wrong, I love the features and playing FF7 on it is epic… but I really wish that there were more PSP games on the store. I think that Sony should encourage developers to put their games on the PSP store — otherwise GO owners just get shafted…
Damn I wish I could get Crisis Core… just waiting here to splash out the cash and Square Enix just don’t want it… D: Oh well… keep on with the updates and hopefully, one day, I’ll be able to play all the old classics and PSP games that I’ve longed for…
Back to Monster Hunter and FF7 I think! *Waits for next week’s update*

Was hoping the R&C demo would be here this week like the US store.
Oh well.

Hi Mike, you must get stressed when people ask the same things every week then get frustrated when it’s not your fault. Anyway, when do we get Resident Evil PS1 classics?

wasn’t Dissidia UT a Japanese version of the western release?

publishers submit content, we pass it, then release it – we don’t ‘decide’ what to release from other publishers catalogues.
………………………………………………… ………
But isn’t this a good reason why sony should never have released the go in europe without the content and publishers to back the system up.

Posted on 22 October, 2009 at 2:11 pm by Raiton-UK
@Acid – I heard that they based it off of the N. American release of DFF but that it would be avaliable on US/ PAL stores at some point too… hmm… I’ll have to look into it… if not then I hope that we get Dissidia soon…

Posted on 22 October, 2009 at 2:14 pm by seany1
can i just ask mike on a seriousl note . why after tones of bad feedback abt store , content and home do scee not listen to customers in europe like other regions do . you guys get thousands and thousands of negative feedback abt the lack of stuff we have yet you dont seem to care , then expect us to actually still buy from e.u store sorry m8 bt if i was getting a selection of [DELETED] films on my virgin box and after thousands complaining and nothing was done to improve it do u really think i or any1 else who complained would buy anythn again .
166
Posted on 22 October, 2009 at 2:14 pm by Amherst_Wind_4
@159
Are you kidding? The US store looks ugly as [DELETED] right now with those black boxes, Mike has said many times they like to keep the EU store nice, clean and simple.
167
Posted on 22 October, 2009 at 2:15 pm by AcidCrashX
@ Raiton-UK remember its up to the publisher to do a digital release of the title so you should send a few emails over to Sqeenix Europe to try and get em going
I’d love to have Crisis Core, Dissidia and the highly underrated Final Fantasy Tactics as downloadable titles (as i hate UMD’s.. fiddly gits)

@ Seany1
dude, you cant expect AAA games every week. its just not going to happen! what would you even want the store to have? PS1 titles like everyone else? if you got them you’d complain there isn’t any new content or just ask for other ones you don’t have or that the prices are too high. R&CF demo? the game isn’t out til next month! why would they release the demo this early! Zombie Apocalypse? its in QA.. i’m all for them getting the bugs out of something they want me to pay for.

Nooooooo?!?!…. where is Abbey Road ????
174
Posted on 22 October, 2009 at 2:23 pm by Raiton-UK
@Acid: Yeah, I know it’s down to developers to release them on the store, hence my comment: “just waiting here to splash out the cash and Square Enix just don’t want it… D: Oh well…”.
I understand that it’s down to the devs to publish their stuff on there, but what I don’t understand is why Sony don’t get moving and make it worth the devs time and money to put their stuff on the store… they created a device that only accepts digital versions of a game, the “GO”, and yet don’t create any incentives for devs to market their games on there… which means that the people who buy a “GO” are essentially shafted as they don’t get the content that PSP 3000 owners get…
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a rant, it’s more of a query/ observation. I just wish that Sony would prompt the more popular devs like Square into putting their stuff on the store so that more people would be happy…
Oh well…
And yeah, Tactics kicks ass!!

Hi Mike!
This will be a kind of a “retro” question. Do you know if Square Enix is thinking on releasing Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Dissidia: Final Fantasy on the PStore?
Or, by the way, are there any news on FFVII: Crisis Core or Dissidia on the PStore?
Thanks
By the way: good week, any personal opinion on WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2010? (getting GTA: Chinatown Wars as soon as I can, but for me, that’s next week or so x3)

Solution = Buy a PSone.

I know that playtv updates are directly downloadable from the aplication and not from the store, but like me I suppose there are a lot of playtv users that wants a NEW PLAYTV SOFTWARE UPDATE, with the new features long, long, long promised and awaited. Do you know some release date?

Why don’t you wait until next week and see – seems you’ve already made your mind up though about it.

Posted on 22 October, 2009 at 2:30 pm by seany1
i was thinking more along lines of games like , critter crunch , zombie apo, namco museum etc , people have cash to buy bt the longer scee make u wait and dont push to get the games the more u get annoyed and go out your way to buy them off u.s store

It’s cheaper, easier, quicker and better to download on the PSN.
Mike, why doesn’t publishers publish their games in Europe then, huh? No answer? Thought so.

Why don’t you tell me seeing as you seem to know the answers…

Absolutly right, and dont forget sony had over 6 months to get the content ready for the go’s launch, and then to top it off they bareface lied about the amount of content we’d be getting.
to quote john koller…..
According to Koller, there will be “at least 300″ titles available for digital purchase when the PSP Go is released.

I’ll tell you then Mike.
Because Sony/SCEE need to approach the Publishers and tell them to publish their products in PAL territories, and negotiate a price and date to them.
They will take this in to account and sort it out, they will be stupid if they don’t release it, ‘cus they will be losing out on money.
Europe put together is the same, if not bigger than America, in terms of content release so I don’t see why they wouldn’t publish their game in Europe. Sony needs to approach these companies and get on their backs and tell them to do this.
It honestly makes no sense to me as to why they would exclusively publish their products in America, it isn’t hard to port it to PAL, it really isn’t…
