Hi guys, time for a PlayStation Home update!
First up, you’re all cordially invited to PS Home’s very own Halloween party! Taking place from 6-8pm (GMT) on 31st October 2009 within the Burn Zombie Burn space, all appropriately dressed attendees will get a (trick or) treat upon arrival. There are five exclusive new costumes available in Threads especially for this event – including a werewolf, Frankenstein, a witch, a ghost and his and her skeleton suits. Check out the screenshots of these delightful outfits below:
If you’re wearing one the above costumes when you enter the space you’ll net yourself a very special (ghoulish) Reward. If you’re not, just pull on the costumes when you’re in the space and jump on the enormous red button to receive your prize.
And if that wasn’t enough, we’re running Home’s first official storyboard competition alongside the event. Using the Home camera (available through the Menu Pad) we’re asking you to supply five images with captions and upload them to our Flickr group. The wittiest five storyboards will go on display in Home Square and then you will decide who wins! The lucky winner will receive a brand spanking new PSPgo
Full entry details can be found here.
Oh, and be sure to check out the commerce point in the Burn Zombie Burn space, something very special may be lurking in there….
Not only that, we also have the Tekken 6 space launching this week. Perfect for you PS Home brawlers, be sure to check this out when Home re-opens tomorrow – screenshots in the interim are below:
Also, the Uncharted 2 space has received a touch of maintenance, so all of you that were having problems accessing the Fortunate Thieves and Torch Race mini-games should now be just fine.
Finally, keep your eyes on the EU blog for details of a very special, SCEE-exclusive event coming your way soon. I won’t say any more however let me leave you with the screenshots below…
‘til next time
iELL

i have a question/suggestion.
do sony have a system in place where devs can access our avatar data and use it in games?
if not why not?
and when will you introduce it?
the wii has always been able to use the miis in game, and on the 360 even the indie games can use your avatar, isn’t it about time sony did the same.
i want to play a game with my avatar.
be it poker, golf or any other game.

Good morning: elliot can you Confirm what your master/boss peter edwards said on a website, (home to be less priority) No surprises there as we already get less priority in SCEE eu-home the LESS of speak louder
Come on it‘s not even a year & you gonna PULLED the plug so its was to much for poor old SCEE if not the case what was he saying
but less priority means they dont need to WORK on home often.
i idea is let 3rd partys involved square-enix, konami a silent hill game-space & 3rd partys will NOT BE scared of shared content like scee is, picture frames/video/music
i will not hold my breath for a answer as you manage to speak less then MIKE does.

So, do you need the full set of a costume to get the treat? Or can I be stingy and just grab one piece?

somebody should do a comparison, who answers more people on the blog, in an answer per question format, obviously mike wins but who comes last?
and i never got an answer to my question last week about being stuck with a corrupted data icon under my home icon and how to get rid of it

1.99 for halloween costumes?! For the love of all that is good you are becoming as cheap and tight as microsoft, first with the charged themes and now this? Not everyone gamer has a credit card and an account stuffed to the brim with money for all things you can give us
you know what elliot linger? Take the costumes and stick them becasue there is no way there worth 0.99 or better yet i could send you a bunch of pictures and charge you, you like that idea? Do ya? Good everybody wins. I am sick to death of companies trying to take our money through every means they can. I give up on Playstation home, the [DELETED] has been a beta for almost a year now and still it has hardly improved with nearly all the spaces being novalty. Seriously get some help from the guys at naughty dog and insomniac.

I don’t know why but I had bought the Frankenstein monster costume because his walk was funny but all of a sudden he is walking normal. Does anyone know why this is happening?
