Why is the UK releaste date the 6th of November? I’m assuming “Most PAL territories” is meaning “Europe” so why is the UK and Ireland 2 days later? UK and Ireland is part of Europe.

At any rate, the surprise of both demos today is a nice one. I played the Clank demo from the US store and it was a great load of fun and I’ll be getting the Collector’s Edition for Christmas!

I can’t wait for the game. It is always the highlight of the year for me.

I already have the Dynamic Theme and I love it. I hope for a Dr. Nefarious one some time in the future.

Why can’t we just have the same release date in the UK as the rest of europe? Why does it always have to be last? Please don’t say it’s because of tradition as that’s not really a valid reason in this day and age.

Not a big fan of the SCEE ‘start’ adverts im afraid, the SCEA ones are just in a different league. But obviously you guys had to keep the same theme going so I respect that.

How about trophy patches for the first two games so I can enjoy the series from the very beginning? Would net you a guarenteed 3 sales here. ;P

@9 probably an old dev FW that allowed making of dynamic themes before 3.00 was made public, which was then given the box and scroll bar.

I’ve got tools of destruction. is there a bonus for having that game?

have the release dates recently been changed? ‘coz my local gamestop have it advertised for release tomorrow, which is when I was planning to buy it! the 6th is too close to MW2, I won’t be buying it on the 6th!

@18: Yes there is! If you have a game save of Tools of Destruction I think it’s a number of bolts you get but I’m not sure how many. If you have a game save of Quest For Booty then you get a pirate hat!

So pleased this is out next week. Its a game me and the misses have played from the very first one on PS1 and we both love it. Only problem now is having to share the game time!

Although this game concludes the story arc i cant wait to see what games and adventures you have in the pipeline for Ratchet and Clank, one of the jewels in the crown of the PS3.

I really like the Sony Europe commercials currently too. Far better than ads for other game systems (You seen those embarrasing DSi ads, especially those with Ant & Dec?). I like them more than the Sony US ones too.

I never got into R&C on the PS2, but I loved Tools of Destruction and Quest of Booty so this is a definite buy for me, actually I think it’ll be an Xmas pressie so won’t be able to try it straight away. I’m tempted by the nice cover of the Game Limited Edition, but it’s not worth £50!

I’ll look forward to playing the demos tonight!

Out of interest is that Dynamic Theme running on a development system or is it using some beta firmware? I can’t help but notice the clock display in the top right corner is different to how it looks on the current firmware? Also am I correct in assuming that is a working clock in the background image?

P.S. Good job on the ad, nice eye-catching collection of gameplay footage, I’ve not got sound on the PC I’m using currently but I’m assuming it’s the usual bloke going on about “Start doing this, Start doing that” etc!

This game is a sure buy for me, but unfortunately the problem for me seems to be the same as has been a couple times earlier this year here in Finland… I want the Collector’s Edition, but it’s still not available for pre-order, and after e-mailing the store about, it, they said they have no info on such a thing.

Don’t suppose you could say the file size for the ratchet demo? i know the clank one is over 2gb

CDON.com has it on preorder and its available in Finland too.
Check it,you won’t regret it and btw i always have the games on release day or the day after,depending on the local post office.
I preorder quite a bit from cdon and never had issues with em,postage is cheap too.

How large are the Demos? I heard their about 3GB each

Looking forward to Ratchet and Clank. Good to see an advert, but best advert I’ve seen for a Ratchet and Clank game was the original one with the morph-o-ray (what got me into the series actually!)

Not a huge fan of the dynamic theme (not a lot going on) but I’m looking forward to this game, I would get the limited edition but I don’t have any money! Christmas present maybe…

I seem to be missing something. I just rushed to download the demos, and they aren’t showing in my PlayStation Store. Where are they?

I’m glad that the ads contain actual proper gameplay rather than the uncharted 2 ads that had the whole “ripped paper” treatment! It looks much better that way, looking forward to this game, MAG, R&C:ACIT, Uncharted 2, KZ2, this year playstation is bleeding my wallet dry with all the good games!

my local gamestop says it comes out on the 4. is there a chance it might come out earlier in some countries?

Who’s the voice narrator in the TV Adverts? He is very good. I love hearing his voice when PS3 adverts come on telly.

It won’t let me download the demo, says I have run out of hard drive space, but i haven’t there is loads of space on there.
I recall this exact same problem happened with the demo of the last ratchet full game. Whats the fix please? I remember last time I had to delete some stuff, but I cannot remember how much.

There is still no word about a Collectors Edition for Germany or Austria. Will the UK CE feature the german voice and text as well?
