@HazelAM Sorry not with you. People around here are getting sick of your moaning. You can post the same thing week in and week out but it is doing nothing constructive. It is the weekend Jem is entitled to have time off just like the rest of us. So quit the moaning for all our sakes

and i’m sick of this joke of a company and those who continue to kiss their arse despite how useless they are.
jem said that weeks ago and hasn’t done a damn thing about it so i’m going to keep posting reminders each and every week, if you really did give a stuff about “all our sakes” you wouldn’t be defending the constant failures of this blog and scee, but you are so you obviously don’t.
and can’t you tell a joke when you see one?

Lucky for me you are a minority. The blog is not a failure, it give us an opportunity to get first information from developers and gives you a privilege of voicing your concerns.
SCEE has some problems I admit but look at all the problems they need to overcome.
1. EU is not unified like the US. They need to submit each game through approval process in each country all with different rules.
2. There are at least 10 different languages in the EU all have to be localised in verbal and text and getting the meaning and emotion of the words take time.
3. Each part of the company acts on its own( SCEE, SCEA and SCEJ)each announce games for their region nothing stops SCEA announcing a games release date even if SCEE don’t have the resources to get it out at the same time as they have more work to do.
Before you say release the English version and then the other languages later, SCEE can’t as other countries will complain and accuse them of favouritism to the English speaking countries.
Sorry SCEE doesn’t serve everything to you on a silver platter but this is a service not a right and they do have limitations more so than the US. If you don’t like it move to the US or buy a 360.

Lucreto, I agree with you when you say this blog is not a failure. It’s a great and reliable source of information. Wish they replied more often though…
As for the problems you’ve mention i also agree but you’re forgetting that there are 2 ways of launching games. Worldwide launch (my personal favorite) or 1st Ntsc and later PAL territories. If there are games that are launched worldwide there’s no good excuse not to.
Never heard a complain about a worldwide launch I wonder why…

It really depends on the company that is publishing. They could have limited resources and have to release the game in the US first to get money to publish the game in Europe. For a worldwide launch all the above still has to happen but delay the US release as the same time.

well that explains why we don’t know when or even if we’re getting the god of war collection.
and why it was only under scee that sfiihd was months late.
and why once again those lumbered with scee will be the last to get dragon age.
and neither capcom or bioware had any idea what was going on.
why under scee they have to ration demos like they’re scared of running out.
why under scee they keep making the tired excuse about having to support so many countries then prove that to be a lie by not supporting most of europe with major content, which is still a step up from not supporting any of europe with the same company’s content last time, is it any wonder they took money from ms to make the dlc exclusive, even if only for a while.
and apart from mike this blog is an apathetic failure, it’s only the guests from the developers or publishers that actually bother to interact with us.

A rather slow week, nothing remotely interesting I’m afraid.

Disagree with Lucreto, HazelAM is correct.
All you have to do is login to either psn store or Home and do the same in the US. There is a massive level of content difference.
I agree the blog is largely poor (Except for Mike Kebby), info posted here is either cutnpaste from the US blog or vague adverts for new games with no release date or pricing (Not to mention excessive updates for Vidzone and Singstar to fill lack of content in the blog).
I understand third party stuff is out of SCEE control but SCEE need to communicate with somebody (third parties/SCE’s own management) to improve this issue.
It makes pitiful business sense when your customers want to spend money and SCEE fail to sort out deals with third parties.

@ lucreto . just to ask do u even relize europe has bought most ps3s dude , do u relize europe pay most for console, games , accs etc im thinking you dont otherwise u wouldn’t be settling for the crap service scee deliver on a weekly basis . europe is what is holding ps3 close to 360 sales wise not u.s or japan its EUROPE so ur wrong i agree with hazel we shouldnt be getting crap service off scee after 3 years of ps3s lifetime

didn’t realise we would be paying so much more in the uk for a british game, developed by rockstar leeds by the way, at the current exchange rate we’re paying two and a half times more than the us, nearly fifty dollars, don’t tell me that’s all tax.
do scee even pay any tax on store content? i don’t recall them putting the prices down when the vat rate was reduced.
i’m glad i didn’t buy a go now.
hopefully the rumours about a the next version of the psp are true and it will have the same features as the go but include a umd drive.

:O I just noticed UNO is out on the PS3… oh sweet
‘PSP Go’ is more like ‘PSP Stop’. NO drive is really sucky… what about those poor people who have a slow internet connection?… what about those people who don’t have an internet connection?… Why are we forced to buy games from the expensive Playstation Store?
Well guess what Sony I am not touching the PSP ‘Stop’
In Australia for an extra $50 AUD I can get a PS3 so what the h*ll is it with that? Here is a hint no one will even bother purchasing that small crappy portable device (even my friends totally agree). iPod Touch all the way with load more games at cheaper prices/free games.
