As warned last week, today we have a smaller update than usual, but I’m hopeful there will be something for most people.
For PS3 users we have got the NBA 2K10 demo available properly (we had some issues first time we tried to release this for you) and the Hextadon pack for Brütal Legend arrives and is free to all for the first two weeks of release, so don’t miss out on this offer. LittleBigPlanet celebrates its anniversary with two pieces of free content; they will only be around for one week, so grab them whilst you can.
The highlight this week for PSP users must be Ghostbusters surely? However, this is followed by two other full games – Dragoneer’s Aria and Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron. We also have another mini making its way to the store in the form of Spot the Differences!
If the new content doesn’t take your fancy this week, then check out the new batch of special offers – it’s a good opportunity to grab some content you may have missed previously, and at reduced prices too.
Finally there’s also an additional piece of content making an appearance on Tuesday (the 10th of November)…more details to follow.
That’s your lot this week.

Call of Duty: Classic is coming to the PS Store today and should be live very soon (apologies for my tweet this morning which said it would be up this morning)!
This version has been given a new lick of paint, and features both a single-player campaign and has online multiplayer – so for those of you who want to see what the franchise was like back at it’s hunble beginnings, this is your chance

Also as a footnote – I gather there has been lots of rumour about what was happening today, let me be very clear – I never once said anything other than there was something additional coming to the store today, so don’t blame me for any hype or rumours that you may have been holding out for

So COD classic is the additional content for today? Any idea on a price and time it’ll be on the store?

Well thanks for letting us know at last but was there really any need for all the secrecy regarding this, Mike?
I mean, Modern Warfare 2 is out today with a PSN voucher for this *ahem* classic game included in the box so it was always going to be available to download from today wasn’t it…
Next time, just be straight with people and that will stop all the rumour-mongering before it starts.
By the way, hope you’re feeling better!

Sorry Guillemots, Squeenix quickly reissued their newsletter to change the release date of Vagrant Story on PSN to ‘soon’. WHich doesn’t bode well for a release on Thursday. Still, I’m excited about this one. I have the original PSOne disc but never got around to playing it – if I could get it on my PSP, that makes it all the more tempting – I just hope the deficit of shoulder buttons and right stick has been handled intelligently.

When does F1 2009 (PSP) come to the PlayStation Store? It’s Nov. 17th and it is out in America but not in the PS Store.
