Battlefield Bad Company 2 – PS3 Beta Begins 19th November 2009

Howdy Kristoffer!

Just a quick question, will Aussie players be getting some love for the BETA? i’v played some 250 hours online on Bad Company and can’t wait for the sequel!

Brutal Legend, for example had a pre-order for early demo access at EB (Our equivilent of Game Stop). This was a promotion in Australia based on communication between EA/Double Fine and some Australian websites i.e. Game.net.
HOWEVER
when it came time to Pre-order the game EB did’nt know anything about the promotion and did’nt have the early access codes to give.

I guess what i am saying, is if this is going to be a promotion for Australia, and it doesn’t have to be mind you, we would love for it to actually happen, rather then being promised pre-order bonuses that never eventuate.
The only reason for posting this is because i really love Bad Company and can’t wait to play as soon as possible!

will this be supporting DTS surround sound?
its a shame most developers seem to ignore the sound effects in games these days, to me there the most important part.
when a air strike goes off i want to be able to feel the glass vibrating.
bad company still has the best sound effects to date, just the sound off especially the machine guns was brilliant.

dedicated servers is the right way ..
now, esl and psl will open the gates for bfbc2 so we r allready able to build tournaments .

but dice should create his own bf championship l remember there was money to win on bf2

I never bought the first but have always heard really good things about it. The trailer that was put up for it yesterday was dam good. There should be more videos showing what the games will actuallu look like for us when we sit down to play. It was the 360 verseion though :S

re: preordering to get in the Beta. The main benefit of a beta to the end user is to try out the game in order to decide if it’s worth buying.

As far as I know, yes, BC2 will have dedicated servers.

Also the main benefit of a Beta is not to decide wether or not you want to buy the game. It is to identify issuses and problems and report them to the Devs so the same bugs don’t make it into the final game.

Looking very nice, though I’m not really an FPS fan, not an expert on BF:BC.
Is it possible in the game to be dedicated flyboy/threadhead instead of just running to the nearest vehicle ?

I hope I can get a key I loved the first game. This is a pre-order for me definitely. I just hope there are no problems like with the first game like 1 game mode and audio issues with mics. It completly ruined the first game experience.
