Hi All,
I’m Gordon Van Dyke and I’m the Associate Producer for Battlefield: Battlefield Bad Company 2 here at EA’s DICE studio in Stockholm.
Today we’re excited to announce that our forthcoming multiplayer beta is coming exclusively to PS3, so you’ll have a chance to experience all the action, destruction and vehicular warfare ahead of our full release on the March 2010.
Starting on November 19th the beta will feature the huge ‘Arica Harbour’ map where up to 24 players compete to secure valuable crates in the ‘Rush’ game mode as the action moves across a variety of different locations. From an initial vehicle assault on a military outpost the war winds through streets of a deserted town to an intense final fire-fight in an industrial harbour.

Getting access to the beta will differ from country to country but here are a few specific ways of getting hold of a key…
- We’ll be holding a special limited giveaway right here on the Playstation Blog
- Pre-ordering the game at participating retailers
- Checking out selected gaming sites such as IGN or Gamespot in North America.

im really good in playing bc1 now i want to have a sort of jump ahead to the others that buy the game in march. II want it play sooo badly please!

i would love to get into to this beta im always early or a day late and i never get in!! but i love battlefield bad company so much and BC 2 look brilliant!!

the beta is closed, only available by code. you won’t find it on the store. i got a code from a pre-order of the game.
the gameplay is great, definitely more slick than the last BFBC game, but everyone seems to be suffering frequent disconnections at the minute (not because of lag. unlike modern warfail 2, there are dedicated servers and it’s lag free). hopefully they’ll sort the servers out over the weekend..

Congratulations on the dire treatment of Europe, especially as it’s HUGE territory particularly for the PS3 (comparative to the 360). I’m getting dozens upon dozens of messages from disgruntled European gamers who feel (justifiably) shafted by DiCE. Odd, considering the studios birthplace.

Anywhere that people in EU can get a beta key? I’ve signed up on the BF:BC2 official website for a beta key, but its been a few days and I doubt I’ll get a Beta Key from there.
