Hi there and welcome to the next SingStore update.
This week, relive the lauch of MTV by downloading Buggles and ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’ (the first video to be played out on the station) or alternatively, just get ‘Ready For The Weekend’ with Calvin Harris’.
Foreign language singers’ choices this week include: Jürgen Drews with ‘König Von Mallorca’, ‘Pidä Kädestä’ by Indica and Buraka Som Sistema with ‘Kalemba (Wegue Wegue)’.
The SongPack this week comes from Amy Winehouse, so warm up those vocal chords and take on Amy with her distinctive soulful tunes.
The Italian Starter Pack SongPack, Il Pop Italiano, will be released onto the store on 25/11 – tracklisting below.
Enjoy and see you in two weeks!

Hey
jus want to ask whether you got any Killers is line?? because i appreciate that on singstar at the moment there are 4 amazing songs of theirs, but i would really like to see some of their other songs on there also as they are an amazing band. Songs like Dustland Fairytale and Spaceman, which personally, i think would do amazingly well because of how their recent album Day and Age sold soooo much
cheeeers xx

Hi Nina,
I have a question. Is it possible to make some kind of playlist with songs you like? There are some songs on the disc i don’t like but they can’t be turned off. I hope this will be possible in a next patch/version.
Keep on singing!!
Dave

I did have USA downloads of Fascination and Fantastic 6 from Alphabeat, but after a number of emails to the USA support still haven’t been able to download them to my slim – I had a 60gb one which BD died on it..
But for the UK store any chance we will get Fascination, Fantastic 6, 10,000 Nights (on the Pop disc) and hopefully Boyfriend (my daughter’s favourite!) and the new song The Spell soon, a song pack would be great!!

How does this work?
Which songs are you able to publish? Those from “Sony BMG”, or how?

Will you add another batch of Danish songs by chance?
Here are some suggestions that would make the downloads rocket in Denmark
Burhan G. – Jeg vil ha’ dig for mig selv
Rugsted og Kreutzfelt – Jeg ved det godt
Rasmus Seebach – Engel
Medina – Kun for mig
Nephew – Superliga / Igen & Igen & / Va Fangool / Sci-fi og familien
Nik & Jay – Endnu en
Thomas Helmig – Nu hvor du har brændt mig af / Stupid man
And here are some suggestions with some international danish artist
Alphabeat – The Spell
Outlandish – Look into my eyes
Medina – You and I
Nephew ft. Polarkreis – Allein alene
Carpark North – Save me from myself / Grateful
Aqua – Back to the 80′s
Volbeat – The Gardens Tale
And here are some non-danish suggestions:
Ne-Yo – Because of You
Rihanna – Disturbia
James Morrison ft. Nelly – Broken Strings
Jason Mraz – Im yours
Cascada – Evacuate the dancefloor / What hurts the most
OH YEAH… AND EVERYTHING WITH MICHAEL JACKSON PLZ! ^_^
Hope you see this post and take notice

Nina,
The upcoming SingStore release posted on the Australian & New Zealand Official PlayStation Community doesn’t appear to contain songs from Universal Music Group.
Could you please confirm what songs will be released on the Australian/New Zealand SingStore(s) this week?

Hi Nina,
Thanks for all the updates, keep up the great work and banging out more songs for us!
While playing SingStar Queen, we noticed that Fat Bottomed Girls is messed up for whomever sings as Freddy for the first 20 seconds or so, where the pitch is picked up wrong. It isn’t the mics because if both are set to backing vocals it works, and if both are set to freddy it is buggy, and if a duet whomever is freddy is buggy… Great game overall, and this is for PS3 NA (just in case the code is not the same for all regions and platforms). There are some other songs like this on the six discs we have so far, but this one is more obvious to us. Maybe that Bravo guy is just scared we are gonna beat him!
And here are some requests that are not released on either side of the pond, neither disc nor store:
Alanis Morissette – Everything
Carpenters – Superstar
Cindy Lauper – time after time
Elton John – Dont let the sun go down on me
Green Day – When September Ends
Nickleback – Hero
Nine Inch Nails – Closer
Rihanna – Don’t Stop the Music
Train – Drops of Jupiter
(it should be obvious that it isnt the same people requesting these over here, I dont even know half these tracks, hehe)

A general question
How do the people who choose the songs make their selections? It often seems that very popular tracks are missed out while obscure ones are put it.
For example on the pop edition disc: Solange – I Decided? A very random choice considering the plethera of good pop songs out there.
Another example I can think of is the Lostprophets songs, no songs from their most popular album Start Something, such as Last Train Home or Drive, but instead 2 mediocre songs from their far less popular album Liberation transmission.
Also I would like to see more rock on the store in general such as more Lostprophets, oasis, muse, chilli’s etc.
And regarding this weeks update will it be today or tomorrow?
Thanks for listening!

Nina, I booted up SingStar and I when I came to the new songs I saw they were all locked. Can I know what does that mean?
I would also like an update on what is curently being done about the US SingStore. Are you discusing with Universal? Are you discusing with other record companies? I would like to know.
Thanks,
VincentVendetta

Is there only going to be one store update in December? as there is a three week gap between the last November update and the December one. Are we getting one big update in December including christmas songs, or will there be two?

Great! Another Calvin Harris track. I hope they include the new single “Flashback” soon. And some more Kylie Minogue tracks of course, which we are missing loads of them.

Just a few request and I it’s early for christmas songs but I know you need time to get though all the red tape.
>Aerosmith – I don’t want to miss a thing
>Meatloaf – You took the words right out of my mouth (already on PS2)
>Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall
>Greece Song Pack
Christmas songs
>The Pogues – Fairytale of New York
>Wham – Last Christmas
>Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas Is You
>Shakin’ Stevens – Merry Christmas Everyone (Avalible in general store not just song pack)
>Band Aid – Do They Know It’s Christmas?
One last thing would it be possible to to be considered for the beta team I have over 400 songs on singstar if that make a difference (including discs).

Right at the start of this thread, you mentioned trying to get more rock on the store. Any chance you could get a bit of the Electric Light Orchestra on there? Their back catalogue is owned by Sony after all…

“What I am asking for is to be able to do is this :
- Load SingStar
- Insert another singstar disc
- SingStar scans the disc and adds those tracks to the carousel
- Insert another singstar disc
- SingStar scans the disc and adds those tracks to the carousel
- Pick a song from the carousel
- If the song is not on the disc currently in my PS3 SingStar pops up a box saying “Please insert SingStar XXXX disc”
What I would like is for SingStar to keep a record of which songs I own, both on the HD (via SingStore) and on my SingStar discs.”
I must say that I think this is a greate idea.
I think many would like to have it like that. And I can´t see why it should be any problem for them to do so as it would only be an indication of what you already have in another disc.
Granted they may not be able to put up a preview for copyrights reasons, but still an icon with the song name and artist would be better then nothing.
Too bad that you didn´t got a clear answer yet Yakkity.
