So I bet most of you have been playing Modern Warfare 2 this week, and in relation to this (just in case any of you missed it) we added the original Call of Duty: Classic to the PS Store on Tuesday evening (given a fresh lick of paint and with online 8 player multiplayer).
For the rest of the update this week, we have a varied offering, taking in a new bundle for Burnout Paradise, a new quiz pack for Buzz!, Fat Princess makes an appearance in PAIN and there is also additional content for Rag Doll Kung Fu, EyePet, Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
PSP users get three new games, three new minis, and the demo for Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.
I know lately we’ve had a bit of a lull in the updates, and whilst they may not have been massive, we have been adding steadily to the store (for you PSP users especially), but next week, there should be a nice stream of content released, and I’m hopeful that some of you will be pleased once you see what’s coming
.
There will always be dips in the release schedule, that’s just the way it goes at times, but we always come out the other side smiling don’t we? Seriously though, we’ll be doing our best to make sure these lulls become less and less frequent, because we do want our community to be happy smiley folk after all!
Anyway, as usual leave your comments below and I’ll do my best to trawl through them. I may not respond directly, but I am reading and taking note, promise.

No full games? What happened to Braid which was supposed to be out this week? PSP gets 6 whole games PS3 gets 0 as usual Sony concentrate on the PSP instead of the PS3 and they wonder why the 360 is doing so well in the market? How about they concentrate on getting more PS3 releases out I mean what happened to releasing full PS3 games (normally on bluray only) on the PS3 we got burnout then they stopped. 360 does a lot of these games and PS3 don’t. Maybe i’m a little moody today I dont mean to take this out on you Mike you don’t choose the content but PS3 isn’t doing too well coming upto Christmas.

Things are looking up for the rest of the year, I’m hoping this will be the last quiet week of the year.

So I guess we’ll have to wait until next week until the new Final Fantasy XIII video/other FFXIII shenanigans appear on our Home/Store?

Where is the Fallout 3 DLC in the Portuguese Store. It has been announced as released for sometime now but it never got to the store. Some sort of reply would be great.

its amazing that i am not disapointed at all. not because i am happy with this update but the fact that i don’t expect anything good on psn anymore since every update 4 weeks now has just been boring. its actually sad that i don’t look forward to these psn store updates anymore… but then again it makes job a bit easier since i won’t be ranting or asking many questions anymore. well done SCEE thumbs up 2 u

Hi Mike,
Just noticed the availability “feature” since the last PSN update. Does this availability has to do with the locales (spoke language) or it means it won’t be available for purchase in these regions?
Please clarify.
Posted on 13 November, 2009 at 9:13 am by Mike Kebby
The availability information I have added to post is for the countries content is released into not language.

“So I bet most of you have been playing Modern Warfare 2 this week”
Ewwww, EWWW! Keep the overhyped garbage away! NO MIKE! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
*ahem*
Semi-Poor update. Little on the ground and nothing in the foundations…only thing to do this week is laugh at the MW2 Hypers and cringe at more awful GH5 DLC (They’ll end up releasing a Jonas Brothers pack soon, the dumb mooks.) and pick up the Just Cause 2 video…at least ONE sequel in the next 6 months won’t just have a lick of paint.
Burrrrrnnn..

This update would be great if there was “Availability: All locales” for Fallout 3 DLC. Or at least if Poland would be included. Is SCEE planing to release this DLC in polish PS Store?

Would like to see the Marvel: UA2 DLC hit soon as im looking to pick that up for xmas.
Excellent job with posting what content is going up in which territories Mike, really pleased to see that, hugely helpful.
Disappointed with the Burnout Bundle as I already have the game and find the pricing of their other DLC a little off putting. Around £10 for some toy cars is not very good value for money imo. Hope to see some deals on this soon.
Otherwise, thx as usual Mike. ^_^

September:
PS Blog – 3.00 New XMB, Friendlist etc etc… AND NEW AVATARS!
November:
PS3 users – *clicks on account management, avatar* ….found nothing new? =/
Telling us that it will come out only for us to find out that it hasn’t, then completely ignore it and never mention it for two months is unheard of in this industry.

Where are Dissidia Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy Crisis core, Mortal kombat Unchained, x-men origins: Woverine for the PSPGo. there are many games not available in the PSN store of Europe. I have checked the American PSN store and there are more games for the PSP. why is that so

yay the dutch store gets [DELETED] again considering no information about DLC, come on mike give us a reason 2 [DELETED] considering we hardly get anything you post here on our psn store, i think i can expect that for every country that sony thinks sucks we still don’t have vidzone and won’t be getting vidstore till 2010 can we expect any useful content this year or next, just be honest and say it we aren’t important enough for sony 2 care about we don’t bring in the big buck that pay your salary.

Can you please explain WHY the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC is not listed in this update??? As the official game site clearly states it was being released in European PS Store on 12th November? It’s already available in the US so what’s the reason for the delay in Europe?
Posted on 13 November, 2009 at 9:21 am by Mike Kebby
If it hasn’t been submitted for release to us, then we can’t release it.

Will we get NEW avatar’s this year (FREE)?
On 360 almost every game has a avatar pic or two.
Why can’t Sony do this Mike?
It’s quite annoying.

So yeah, the Fallout 3 DLC is here, yay(a couple of months late). Except of course the fact that it aparently costs more than elswhere in Europe. Let’s scoot over to the american online store m’kay? Total cost $49,95. Dutch store: €49,95. Current exchange rate €1,- = $1,4 , so €50,- = $70,-. That is a pretty huge difference.
Basically, Someone screws up (either SCEE or Bethesda) and we, the customers, pay extra.
I’m out, it was fun sony, it really was……

Not an awful update but I still feel sorry for PSP Go users.
Nothing for me this week, I guess I’ll get back to Ratchet & Clank then (far more entertaining than the “Yet another FPS” everyone seems to be so overexcited about
).

@ vherostar, there’s such a thing as quality over quantity. Granted the XBLA seems to have a lot of games, but being blunt a lot of them look like shovelware – and they’re not even cheap like the Mini’s, they’re equivalent to a £7.99 on PS3!
I sometimes read the XBLA vs US PSN Store comparison and they’re usually not all that different, and frankly I wouldn’t want most of the games they get anyway as some look rubbish – and the ones that do turn out to be decent end up on PSN eventually too, like Braid. I also don’t believe for a second that XBLA never has a slow week or two every now and again (I don’t know if they have a weekly blog post like this to compare), otherwise that convinces me even more that it’s devoid of any kind of quality control and would just saturate the market…
It seems to me people want big store updates just for the sake of having big store updates, whether they actually have any intention of buying every game released on there or not. It’s like it’s become some sort of comfort blanket for some people and some arbitrary way to judge the success of the console/PSN, when in reality it’s just one of the many features of this FREE service…

Also, when is the retail version of Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier hitting PSN?
