So I bet most of you have been playing Modern Warfare 2 this week, and in relation to this (just in case any of you missed it) we added the original Call of Duty: Classic to the PS Store on Tuesday evening (given a fresh lick of paint and with online 8 player multiplayer).
For the rest of the update this week, we have a varied offering, taking in a new bundle for Burnout Paradise, a new quiz pack for Buzz!, Fat Princess makes an appearance in PAIN and there is also additional content for Rag Doll Kung Fu, EyePet, Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
PSP users get three new games, three new minis, and the demo for Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.
I know lately we’ve had a bit of a lull in the updates, and whilst they may not have been massive, we have been adding steadily to the store (for you PSP users especially), but next week, there should be a nice stream of content released, and I’m hopeful that some of you will be pleased once you see what’s coming
.
There will always be dips in the release schedule, that’s just the way it goes at times, but we always come out the other side smiling don’t we? Seriously though, we’ll be doing our best to make sure these lulls become less and less frequent, because we do want our community to be happy smiley folk after all!
Anyway, as usual leave your comments below and I’ll do my best to trawl through them. I may not respond directly, but I am reading and taking note, promise.

Hmm..!?
Fallout 3 DLC has been available before now so i don’t understand?
Why does it seem if you don’t have/like Rockband & Guitar Hero every Store update seems useless lately? The content has been pretty poor for awhile now aswell as the PS firmware updates, don’t get me wrong i love my PS3, though the service has been lacking.. don’t you think?
Remember everyone is allowed an opinion before some raving fanboy starts trolling, c’mon Sony.. jeez :/

Right so who has made a mistake here? Vicarious Visions or the EU store? VV stated the Ultimate alliance 2 DLC will be today in the EU, but no mention of it here. Other than that another crap week or updates.

Video Store? It’s already November and we have no new info about that!

Do you want the Spanish language version on your store then? I’m confused by your post – you can’t begrudge a Spanish language version going onto the Spanish store…

Oh I see that you took my piece of advice from last weeks update and finally added what locale store the item is released onto! Thanks for that!
Now to my other permanent question though – when will you add Football Manager 2010 for PSP to the Swedish store?

Hey, I got an e-mail from Square-Enix saying Vagrant Story would be out today, where is it?

What is with this Fallout 3 DLC? Now it’s Spain only, if it’ll be released all, seeing as how the Portuguese nor the Dutch stores got it last week when they were supposed to, and now with this much delay, they’re still not getting it but Spain is?
Mike, when you find some time to read this, please let those you know who direct what’s released onto the stores and the QA people responsible for all these delays that they’re doing truly awful, terrible jobs with this DLC.. I really hope, probably against all reason and probability, that the Fallout 3 DLC will be released onto the Portugese, Dutch and Belgian stores tonight.

I didn’t know we were getting more Spongebob songs, woooooo. My girlfriend will be happy. Plus I’ve gotta have abit of White Stripes. Neversoft just seem to have given on competing with HMX on the DLC front.
I won’t be downloading much but I do like this constant stream of DLC for Eyepet. I love that little thing.

Not the best update in the world, hardly any PS3 content but thats ok, content has only been lacking for 2 weeks so you should bring some good stuff next week if you have it
Good job anyway!

Mike, I have a suggestion for you, can you get someone to alter the store to allow people who purchase a particular product from it to submit a review and score.
I think most websites and iTunes etc have this capability so therefore negative reviews presumably don’t impact sales as bad as you would think, plus it would probably help build a stronger community at the store.

i see the “man flu” wasn’t as terminal as you made out mike.
all i can say about the store update is “yawn”.
well at least there’s the big ffxiii announcement tomorrow.
let’s hope it’s better than bioware’s announcement.

Dear Mike,
Are you planning to do something about it? Please, let me hear your answer.
Why? Why? Why… Mike… please tell me why Rock Band DLCs are never avaible in Poland? I’d love to buy any of those but with my main account
Take care.

It’s up to the publisher I’m afraid.

Hello Mike, hope you’re feeling better by now
I wanted to remind you the Search Patch for the Portuguese Store is not available yet, is it still in testing?
Also, I can smell PS1 Classics a week away… I’m putting my money on FF8 and Vagrant Story

I see there is a few people moaning out there but if you read what it says you SHOULD be happy like ME,as it says on the odd week it won’t be as good as others but over all it’s a damn good store with updates most weeks and NEXT week sounds like it’s going to be good so it should give most of us something to look forward too,so don’t worry be HAPPY
life is a lot better that way people lol.

Hey Hazel don’t panic, The Game is Just the Start. It’s a shame we didn’t bought it in the region where It Only Does Everything ain’t it?
Some Slightly uneducated Feedback:
I hope you people at SCEE get “Moa Lights Moa Camera” so you can finally find each other and start getting something out of third parties.
Now THAT would be a Start.
Well,I had my semi-offensive rant/PS1 classics rant,
I`m back now to Winnie the Pooh, good day.

With all the delays in delivering the Fallout DLC (it’s still not available!), you really should do something about the pricing (as projected in your post).
FYI: the Fallout 3 “game of the year”-edition (including ALL the DLC) costs less than the combined downloads!!!
Oh and please stop mistaking the UK for Europe; there’s so much more to Europe than that… :p

I heard Vagrant Story was coming to PSN today, I knew it was too good to be true, it’s sad to think that all I have to look forward to in my life every week is the PS store update and every week I’m let down, tell the people in charge to get off their fat arses and tell the devs what the people want, cos I’m pretty damn sure it’s not Winnie the pooh

@Paulus-NL – CoD classic is a port of the original game, polished up in 720p HD and added trophy support. it wasn’t ported by infinity ward, by the way. i’ve read that it is quite laggy online though.

I would really really like to play Gradius om my slim! I loved Gradius V even if it didn’t really had the good old Gradius feeling, so put that up on the wishlist.
Konami could you please pick up the development of the halted Gradius game or at least do a remake of the series on PS3!

NEXT WEEKS UPDATE >
It looks like after a year of waiting, Europe is finally getting a PlayStation Video Store.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has published a press release stating that the store will open next week on the 18th and within its first day lineup are gems such as The Dark Knight, Star Trek, and Gran Torino. Many studios have signed on to support the store, with a couple of big names like Disney, and of course, Sony Pictures.
Right now, the store will only be made available in the UK, France, Spain, and Germany with more territories being added during 2010.

“So I bet most of you have been playing Modern Warfare 2 this week”
If by “playing” you mean staring blankly into a screen reading “Connecting to Matchmaking Server”, then yes, we have…
On the content, here’s hoping that next week compensates for a few very slow weeks.

Hey Mike, do you know if there will be real addon content for Eyepet like extra/days or alike, and not only “costumes”… That would be great!… Also addon content for other games like Magic Ball would be great!, long since last and only addon there!, also looking forward for upcoming playable content for Littel Big Planet, just hope they will come more often as there only been one since release! (MGS)…
So in general, give us more playable addon content for our loved games to blow some life in them again
Have a nice weekend!…

First I’d like to say that although I live in England, so (on the EU blog) that pretty much means available unless stated otherwise, it looks like the new availability notes will help some people, nice touch.
Also, even though you think it’s a lull in updates this week, I probably wouldn’t buy anything that came out this week anyway… still got Tekken 6, Ratchet and Clank and MW2 to complete, not to mention that I intend to platinum them all! xD

Hmm very very intresting a other cryptic clue by mikeface,
“lots of content next week” =Vidstore & now my verdict on the update it‘s a so-so update,
mikce i like your speech admitting that SCEE fails in it‘s content Eg. lull in content but SCEA can beat us at every turn. however……….
i see a silver lineing that the SCEA store has not got cod1 classic is that SCEE exclusive to us Europe.
& lastly Mikeface do you know what square-enix announcement & will there be tomorrow a announcement from the vid store team
Thank you
love skookie.
