So I bet most of you have been playing Modern Warfare 2 this week, and in relation to this (just in case any of you missed it) we added the original Call of Duty: Classic to the PS Store on Tuesday evening (given a fresh lick of paint and with online 8 player multiplayer).
For the rest of the update this week, we have a varied offering, taking in a new bundle for Burnout Paradise, a new quiz pack for Buzz!, Fat Princess makes an appearance in PAIN and there is also additional content for Rag Doll Kung Fu, EyePet, Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
PSP users get three new games, three new minis, and the demo for Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.
I know lately we’ve had a bit of a lull in the updates, and whilst they may not have been massive, we have been adding steadily to the store (for you PSP users especially), but next week, there should be a nice stream of content released, and I’m hopeful that some of you will be pleased once you see what’s coming
.
There will always be dips in the release schedule, that’s just the way it goes at times, but we always come out the other side smiling don’t we? Seriously though, we’ll be doing our best to make sure these lulls become less and less frequent, because we do want our community to be happy smiley folk after all!
Anyway, as usual leave your comments below and I’ll do my best to trawl through them. I may not respond directly, but I am reading and taking note, promise.

Hi mike. I know you get hassled about the PS1 classic’s coming onto the store but the reason why we all want them is so we can play them on the psp. Also why cant sony let you install a ps1 game you already own onto the ps3 then we wouldnt moan so much. Hope you got over the flu ok and keep up the good work. Please peep leave him alone on the PS1 updates. Im sure they will appear in good time just wait for them like everyone else in Europe. If u want them that badly buy a cheap PS1 online and buy the game. STOP MOANING

How sad it’s taken this long for metal gear to come to the store,, thats the EU for you.. useless
375
Posted on 17 November, 2009 at 11:35 am by Scourgewood
Rivodus: I don’t think it’s the case.
Quote taken from newssite: Konami has announced the arrival of Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation Store this Thursday, 19th November.
It was this PSone game that took the series 3D and established Hideo Kojima’s creations as some of the best in the world. Metal Gear Solid will cost £7.99.
Following Metal Gear Solid will be MGS: Portable Ops, MGS: Portable: Ops+ and MGS: Digital Graphic Novel.
The idea is for Konami to build some serious Metal Gear Solid momentum ahead of MGS: Peace Walker’s release sometime next year.”
So you’ll probably find it’s a tactical decision.

Hello Mike, Quick question. Where did you buy Demon’s Souls from? (unless i’m mistaken and you haven’t) As i’m looking to get it and God of War collection.
Also to everyone in the current OPM it mentioned FFVIII being out in 2010.
378
Posted on 18 November, 2009 at 3:47 pm by HeadlessHavoc
Well that´s indeed good news!!
Spent a bunch of hours of my youth with snake!
At least sth to pass the time while FF8 COMES
Finally a decent title… because of crap games I saved enough money already to buy a Nint… nevermind! Good job.

2010?! I’ve been hoping everyweek for the last 2 months to find out if FFVIII was out yet and now it’s not going to be out till sometime next year

Mr Mike,
Have you ever compared the ‘PsOne Classics’ of Euro PSN with the American or Japanese PSN?;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PSOne_Classics
It seems you don’t get it serious at all.
Work on a much more serious PSN store update please, at least for the ‘PSOne Classics’ category. It’s like a joke!
Where is Tekken (1, 2 or 3), Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Nightmare Creatures, Chessmaster?
Posted on 20 November, 2009 at 12:04 pm by Mike Kebby
No I haven’t, I’m clueless about this issue – where am I again?
Every week I go through the reasons why there are discrepancies, I’m not repeating myself anymore.
381
Posted on 18 November, 2009 at 8:37 pm by tekkenism
Either give us a better ‘PsOne Classics’ (No, don’t worry, not for free! Willing to pay a lot for them!) or let us copy our games into our PS3 consoles.
Why not Sony?
- No more ‘Oh where did i put my cds’ troubles.
- No more ‘disc is unreadable/got scratched’ troubles.
- Faster loading time.
- You don’t want to move 50 cds together with you if you’d like to play them on your vacation, right?
You offer a huge 250 GB space but you don’t let copying (original) game discs. What a joke!
Oh no, i will not fill my 250 GB PS3 with some fancy game trailers or 5-minutes-lasting demo games!

So will F1 2009 be available to download on the 19th? If so, then what time does it update? I need to download this game before I go on vacation on the 20th.

im so glad you guys are concentrating on the important stuff we have all been asking for for years like face book, prettier picture selection, colourful borders and streaming tv channels, as opposed to doing silly things like cross game chat, private chat, improving the chat servers in general. Or helping us keep up with the usa players who frequently recieve better content on psn, more of it too (hell they even have an interactive magazine!) or keeping up with the home stuff (wheres the ghost busters space for uk home users?
oh but we will also be getting the psn video store ( you know the one the americans have had for how long now?)
its clear what this update is, 360 has facebook we better to quick quick and oh yeah we planned it for months honest guv.
Get the chat sorted out
Keep our psn uptodate with the usa psn
keep our home uptodate with the usa home
and while were at it stop releasing usa only betas!!!!!!!!!
“ps3 is a global community*”
*some countries are worth more money to us therefore other countries will have to lag behind.
mini rant over thnx sony for the pretty coloured borders their just what i always wanted

tekkenism: Do you really think we haven’t heard all this before?
Mike is a better person than me, that’s for sure: All the whiners on here would’ve been told where to go a long time ago, (but that really won’t help Sony’s sales would it.)
Anyway, have patience, I’m sure you’ve heard “localisation” enough to realise that Uk releases have to coincide with the rest of Europe. Basically English and all other EU languages would need to be released together, (not something that could be done overnight.)
Basically what you’re saying is: “we’re English, we get out games the same time as America!” does that mean you don’t want to be part of the EU anymore?
There is a lot that we don’t know about the way Sony works, we can only assume and speculate, not point fingers at individuals.
