Hi everyone, my name is Johnny Coghlan and I’m Head of Publishing for Chillingo. I’m posting here on the PlayStation.Blog to exclusively reveal that Chillingo’s blockbuster top-down horror shooter, Dracula – Undead Awakening, will soon be available for PSP minis!

Dracula – Undead Awakening is a top-down shooter. You play a vampire hunter must combat hordes of undead enemies like zombies, ghouls, werewolves, vampire brides and more. Each level and every new attack wave contains more enemies, and they get stronger over time!

You have some cool possibilities though. Every time you kill an enemy, there’s a chance they will drop a useful item like a weapon or potion. As you progress, your character can access increasingly powerful weaponry including Machine Guns, Flamethrowers, Buzz-Saws and Grenade Launchers. Surviving each intense undead assault also rewards you with invaluable experience, which you can spend to choose new skills and ability perks like Bloodlust, Ninja, Telekinesis and even Death Dice.

Eerie locations include a desolate graveyard and a Gothic era fortress. Diabolical demons and unearthly beasts await your arrival, along with specters and vampires aplenty! There are a variety of modes in the game ensuring loads of replayability. Do you like an endless supply of ammo with a similarly non-stop stream of attackers coming at you? How about a scarier mode where you have one weapon and no pick-ups where it’s you versus increasing numbers of undead enemies with no respite? Or maybe you prefer to role-play and control the development of your vampire hunter’s powerful new skills and abilities. Dracula – Undead Awakening offers all this and much more!

This PSP minis version of Dracula – Undead Awakening has been designed and optimised for the PSP platform. Control is seamless, as your character moves using the analog stick. On the PSPGo, you can even use the analog stick to aim if you choose, giving 360 degrees of options when aiming. The shop interface also offers an explanation of each ability and weapon improvement. You can access your gameplay achievements via the statistics screen, along with profile high scores for each game mode. The frame rate has been optimized, and you can save the game at any time you choose.

Dracula – Undead Awakening will creep onto PSP minis on November 26, 2009.
