facebook does not work through ps3 browser cant comment on my status or people’s comments. please sort the browser out. love the new photo layout can u do that for music,video and games please thanks

this is all very good and well but i lost the ‘TV’ icon and my ability to use BBCiPlayer from the XMB ..

I’m one of those who bought the ps3 not only to play but as media center. I love Play TV.

I’d dare to suggest to improvements:
- With PlayTV I turn on the ps3 more often to watch tv than to play. It would be nice to be able to access directly to Play TV when turning on (no clicks required)

- As media center I copy my music library to the ps3(almost 300 albums), but the XMB is an awful way to look through all of them. I keep on using my old multimedia HD, cause I have the library very well ordered in folders

You should have a facebook app like on a mobile, I’ll will not use but my will. Love the television app, works good. Browser on ps3 is functional but does not work, simply because your looking at an TV an not a PC monitor, should make it much more simpler an more intuative

Wow, this update is a COMPLETE FAILURE for those in the UK. You have REMOVED the BBC iPlayer link and at the same time added YET ANOTHER pointless and annoying link to the the playstation store. These are incredibly annoying, flashing up that box showing the latest crap-tastic offerings.

What the heck happened to the flash player? Most video’s I can’t check anymore. Flash games on Facebook which I was able to check with the PS3 browser are whining about to install the latest Flash player all of the sudden… Updates suppose to improve things… right?

Rebooting won’t solve anything, neither play an HDD game like other guy said.

I guess the majority of the fw’s now don’t just add thing, they remove them also.

Mine still says there is no new update and when i download update by pc on a usb the file says corrupt when i put it thru ps3….Anyone elses doing that?

Nice start for TV programs with NOS video but you cant choose watch full screen. Come on sony this must get way better!

About other thing, i think people with PlayTV will be agree with me, i need PlayTV icon to be the first on TV list, and then tv channels icons, now is the last one, and this is a bad idea.

@ZoneKill: NOS videos fullscreen is available,on the lower right corner of any video you can click a icon wich will make the video fullscreen,at least it works for me

*trophy sync still generates a 80022a07 error (80022a07= sony doesnt have time to fix feature as competitor has added facebook and they have been busy keeping up)
*still no private chat
*if i want to buy a film i have to buy the SD version for a price i can get a blueray edition for !(ok maybe £4 less in some cases but big woop)
*rented prices are higher then the local blockbusters and yet this is more inconvient as you have to download them
*facebook support is only trophies etc, you cant browse comment etc(not a big deal as this is a gaming and media device not a computer but if your gonna add something then do it right for godsake)

any chance you guys can give us stuff we want ? and fix the things that are broken before you see anothe bandwagon to jump on?

I’m in Spain and the bbc Iplayer has appeared on my xmb today. Obviously useless to me. Will I also get the Spanish channels?

The facebook option hasn’t appeared for me. Is this a widespread problem?

When will these TV capabilities / options arrive in North America? Microsoft has streaming video / television in Windows Media Center… why can’t it be done for the PS3 in North America? Also, I am constantly saddened by the lack of PlayTV in the US (so many ATSC / ClearQAM tuners out on the market for computers…. shouldn’t be hard to provide for the PS3 also)…. it would sell!!!! and give Tivo some competition.

hmmm, after i installed the update, everything was fine and dandy, but when i got up this morning and turned on the ps3, i had the god of war collection disk already in the system (great game by the way, thank you Sony) and i could not see the disk icon in the XMB, ejected the disk, then i put it back in and voila, the icon is back, never had that problem before this update. it seems like it’s not just HOME that is in beta, the whole system is, i wish you guys would concentrate on stability more. i really hate when the system locks up during gameplay, or text chatting during gameplay. lots of issues need to be ironed out. please make this a priority before i put a sledge hammer through it, thank you

My fault must set music settings to 48kHz than you can access XMB again.

I have different clans that I belong too and trawling through 60 friends it time consuming!

Flash seems to be broken in the browser. Too many sites don’t work anymore, including the PS blog.

absolutley pointless apart from the video store why isnt there a facebook icon instead of having to go through the browser and whats happened to the bbc iplayer icon its gone off my system all we want is cross xmb chat but you keep giving us stuff we dont need like the text chat system never used it no one does pants sought it out before its to late people are angry . i wait for your response

I just updated and I don’t actually have the Facebook icon in my account management menu… Very disappointed..

Do sony actually listen to what their gamers want or are they hell bent on just releasing pointless updates for the heck of it?

Listen to your customer’s sony or lose them It’s that simple!
Oh one last thing don’t listen to anyone under 16 or we will all have bebo, msn and other crap on our system.

Hmm, I just read someone else’s comment and it appears that the Facebook icon only appears on the main account of the PS3. Now my PS3 is shared between me and my brothers, we do not have a main account. None of us can access the Facebook functions at the moment. Could you please fix this Sony?

since updating I have lost the iPlayer icon and the facebook, photo and friends functionality (i.e. the reason for the update) are not even on my XMB!! Any thoughts??

My TV icon is fine what i do have problems with is using facebook as well as other sites that you post comments aswell as trying to open or create mail the other is the facebook share trophy info set it to share put my user info then sync but guess what nothing they was no post from my ps3 put up so thought ok maybe you get email you have to confirm with but nope so is this a problem or do you have to wait for next week

You guys NEED to change this Master/Sub Account nonsense. It’s at the stage now where, just because I didn’t lie about my age when we first got a PS3, I’m going to have register a new Account, because there is no way to upgrade a Sub Account and Sub Accounts are missing features – reduced PlayStaton Store usefulness and the lack of Facebook (Which makes NO sense) to name a few. I DO NOT WANT to register a new Account, I have a robust friends list and I don’t want to lose all my Trophies. No such problem exists on your rivals’ service. You NEED to add the ability to unbind Sub Accounts and make them Masters. This is not a feature request, it’s something you HAVE to get done.

Just needed to say thank you for sorting our BBC iPlayer on refurbished machines. Greatly appreciated.

The new photo list is great… but it would be nice if it showed it the same way on usb-storage and possibly media-servers too

I’m having the same problem, and couldn’t agree more!

ok it happened to me again, turned on my ps3, had a disk in it and the drive does not show that there is a disk in the drive, had to shut down the ps3 and then reboot it, then i was able to see the disk, what i would like to know is this a firmware problem? it must be because i haven’t had this problem since the update, please fix this problem asap, don’t make me switch to uncle bill… PLEASE!!!

hi i installed the new update today and since then i cnt connect my headset to the ps3 n thts both of then as i have 2, and i cnt change the colour of my profile screen which is what the new update is for isnt it? The profile thing isnt the main issue for me its not being able to connect my bluetooth headset it was working perfect yesterday and now it just says cannot establish a connection (error 8001002B) some help would be very much appreciated.

For those with Iplayer issues try creating a new account, its what I did for the Spanish ones as at firsdt they were not there and now they appeared.

@417: I only have a big play/pauze button and a timer/buffer in the left corner. Thats it. Can click anywhere I like, but nothing is going fullscreen here, which is rather useless

Good update on the whole! loving the video store!!!! but why on earth has the BBC iPlayer icon gone from the xmb when i updated to firmware 3.10? i tried re-starting the ps3 many times but the tv icon and bbc iplayer icon is gone from the xmb! whats the point of a update which takes away something you have and gives u facebook which no-one EVER REQUESTED!!!

By the way James this isnt aimed at you at all!!! its just that we expect better, and the facebook thing? that definatly looks like its been rushed just cause the xbox got it why dont we put it in really quick!!! i bought a ps3 to play games not to go on facebook! sony says they listen to feeback from users of the ps3 about what they want. looking at this update they think ps3 users are from mars!!!!

i like the idea of linking stuff with facebook, but you cant do much on it anyway! i know that adding new features to the system will attract more customers, but the first time they go online with the browser they are gonna read a HUGE list of things people want fixed. fine balance between profit’s and customer demand is needed.

dont get me wrong, i am happy with the ps3 system. just the browser is kinda rubbish.
