Please please please can we have an off switch setting for the annoying fadey outey titles in the media browser.

Media player is a bit more stable in 3.10, keep up the good work, you are getting loads of crash reports from me though, hope they help…..

24p playback from stored media would be great when you get a moment, even better if it can reverse telecine from a 3:2 pulldown US TV prog and output nice clean 24p one day……

PS3 is the best quality media player out there, it could be so much better with a few little tweaks, you know you want to…

i just got a refurbished ps3 as my old one got the YLoD, its a 60 GB model and when i signed in to PSN i had to do the update, version 3.10, no problems so far, until i noticed that the tv icon wasn’t present on my xmb, is there anything i can do to sort this cos I used the BBCiplayer quite often on my old system.

Any news on when we will be able to have a voice chat without havingto be in the caht app or playing a game? I also have an xbox 360 and I can do it on there.. Love the ABC iVIEW on the XBM by the way.. Also boutght the playtv today, cand wait to go home and hook it up

it seems that xbox has a lot of things playstation does not

it would be realy good if you could give more colours
an more avatars
if u did what xbox did with the avatars it would be really cool
i realy want to customize my ps3 alot.
in addition i would love it if we could play ps2 games
& finally if we got to acess facebook & music while we was playing games that would be another cool thing to
hu agrees?

Only one problem with this update, only the main account holder can access the Facebook sync. We have 6 users on our playstation with Facebook Accounts, how can we sync our accounts has we are the main users???.

The what’s new section in the XMB has designed, apart from other functions,as a link to the eu ps blog…ok??? After the 3.10 firmware update,i use these links to watch the blog with the flash player of the console’s browser not supporting the previously supported videos not only on this site but to a big amount of sites that i used to visit!!!If the what’s new section created to that purpose i find just unprofessional and pointless that the official PS blogs(include US one)are sites not friendly to ps3 ’s browser!! please fix that previously working just fine function… thanks

Well since updating (and reading alot of post here) seems to be a problem with the TVicon (BBC iplayer) just disapearing, after a restart or two it come back but thought that was strange.

Also i see that finally PS3 owners have now facebook on the PS3 for trophies and all types of info etc, but one thing though… does it work!!??
I’ve recently gained more trophies but have not seen not one piece of information on my facebook, nothing!!
I’ve set it up for it to publish my trophies that i receive but after receiving nearly 7 trophies i looked at my facebook and all i saw was “NOTHING”!! Not sure why we have that option on the PS3 if it doesn’t even work… or does it!! GREMLINS i tell ya!!
Anyway i’m not even sure if this will even get read or replied to but thought of adding my comments regarding the new features of the firmware anyways.

Oh if anyone has any information on how this facebook thing work please let me know as i think i’ll get a quicker response by the PS3 user community than Sony or James.

i have a ps3 and 360 facebook on the 360 sucks big time but atleAst it works… i dont care how the xbm looks or operates i just want to browse without hassle…. wats up wiv not being able to post comments or status on facebook at the moment…. and if we cant comment on it wats the point in having the browser… im sticking to my laptop for internet 360 for games and ive got a bluray player so tell me wat the point is in a ps3 if it doesnt do wwat is stated and expected… go on i dare u to answer james… p.s. sorry this is a sloppy message with poor grammer and punctuation but im doing it on a ps3 keypad, god awful creation, 360 pad is much better……..

Any chance on a future update to have watching a video under our status or showing exactly what we watching aka a PSN video download of say Hangover or a blu ray The Dark Knight little things like this would be cool ,maybe a loyalty for amount of PSN downloads or redemption from blu rays bought?

How about in the next update we can also update our facebook status and view our facebook photos and friends photos and info via widget in the xmb… My friend has an Xbox and yesterday I saw that they can do that and it was pretty sick… same with twitter. 1- it will promote ps3 even more and 2- it will become a trending topic on twitter everyday

Hey James, when you’re talking to NZ office, could you confirm that NZ Orcon customers can access TVNZ on demand as part of the O zone(ie downloading files won’t count as part of our monthly data allowance). This is currently a feature when using the on demand feature from your PC for Orcon customers. If true this could be something TVNZ, Sony and Orcon could sell as another great feature of the PS3 etc. Cheers, Tim.

I’ve got a big problem at home with the Facebook functionality. My wife has a sub-account and for some reason this means she can’t use the Facebook functionality. She’s acquired loads of trophies and is a massive Facebook user – much more than me. It makes no sense why she should not be allowed the same rights. Is this a bug? If not, is there a way that I can upgrade her account to a master account?

It’s simply not acceptable to say that she has to create a new account and start the process of earning a year’s worth of trophies again. If this had been made plain when we created the accounts then we’d never have done this. I’m getting serious earache about this right now – please fix this!
