Okay, I’m not going to beat around the bush, I think we’ve got a cracking line-up this week…and if you all moan at me this week, you will have crushed my last bit of faith in humanity:)
For PS3 users you can get hold of Critter Crunch (trial and unlock) and Invincible Tiger, as well as the demo for Smash Cars, there are two packs available for Dragon Age: Origins (that’s my weekend gone then) and a host of other content too.
Oh, did I mention a certain Snake makes an appearance this week too…we finally have the PSone classic Metal Gear Solid available!
Also, I think you PSP owners will be feeling some love this week with titles available such as LittleBigPlanet, Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, The Warriors and plenty more. There are also two further minis on the store this week, Echoes and Pinball Dreams; for the full list of this week’s content have a scroll down.
There will also be a couple of titles made available this coming Tuesday (24th of November)…I was going to be mean and keep you waiting but I wouldn’t do that to you all
. Therefore on Tuesday you’ll be able to get hold of Gravity Crash (both the full game and a trial & unlock) and for LittleBigPlanet an Assasssin’s Creed costume will be available too.
Leave comments as usual, but please keep in mind that I don’t work on the Video Download Service, so I won’t be supplying answers about that…
Have a good week!

1. Why isn’t MGS available in NZ?
and
2. Any news on Final Fantasy 8 at the moment?
Otherwise, Great update

Konami didn’t submit it for release there I’m afraid.
No news on FFVIII just yet.

Super happy with all the stuff happening today re: this content, the video store, new firmware etc – I just wanted to ask one thing:
I’m absolutely itching to play Silent Hill 2 again (Paranormal Activity got me in the mood for real scares), any chance of that coming to the store?
15
Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 12:28 pm by Paranoimia
Woohoo! Will be buying The Lost Frontier for sure, and maybe Arctic Edge after trying the demo. And will be buying Gravity Crash next week, too… quite possibly both PS3 and PSP versions.

Well I guess I have to crush your faith in humanity, but where the hell is the ultimate alliance DLC? The Vicarious Visions moderator has posted on the games official forums saying they sent the content way in advance of the 12th of November release date, so there shouldn’t be any real excuse. Not your fault personally, but the PSN EU guys are useless at times.
Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 12:40 pm by Mike Kebby
Next week Mallery, it’ll be on the store next week.

Hi Mike,
Good to see Critter Crunch at the price i was hoping for.
Couple of questions that i hope you are able to shed some light on:
1) Is there a reason that the Store no longer receives trailers (be it Cinema releases and Blu Ray)? Seeing as Sony champion the format, and being a film company, I thought they would have advertised things like this more???
2) I realise that we don’t always get PS1 classics the same time, if at all ,as the US do (citing localization issues), but I read on the US blog the other week that they received Tekken 6 wallpapers. Surely, wallpapers don’t need localizing do they?!?
Cheerz

Gravity Crash (but why Tuesday?)
MGS
All over my face.

Really good list this week My bank balance will be looking a little thin. I may need to pick up another memory stick for my pspgo as well.
Only one question. Do you know if F1 2009 for PSP will be on the store any time soon? I think it’s released on UMD tomorrow.

Great to see Metal Gear Solid up there, I still have the original discs so I won’t need it.
It was a really needed seeing how long it had been up on the US Store, good to see it eventually was coming.
I’ll be picking up the Sgt. Pepper’s album anyway, good to see that wasn’t delayed like Abbey Road last time, Sgt. Pepper’s FTW!

“* Metal Gear Solid (£7.99/€9.99) Rating: PEGI 18+
Availability: Not available in New Zealand”
What? Why not New Zealand? The way I see it there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn’t be available in New Zealand, especially when it’s available in Australia! Any explanation on this one, or at least a date when it will be available?
Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 12:43 pm by Mike Kebby
I don’t know, it’s up to Konami, it could be they didn’t get a rating finalised, or legal issues, or licensing issues – there’s a myriad of potential reasons why not – I couldn’t say to be honest…

Dutch PSN store is currently riddled with language errors, some of them:
Pain FatPrincess icon on the main page says “gratuit” instead of “gratis”
Pain Schnell-Oocher Paket is listed fully in German
Racket & Clank Waffen Trailer is listed fully in German
Final Fantasy 7’s description is listed in Spanish or Portuguese

Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 12:34 pm by Dreadknux
Nice nice nice. Cheers Mike.
I managed to find a copy of MGS from a local boot sale but the second disc wasn’t in it. Dude just gave me the game for free, said I may as well play through half of it (”Why would I want half a freakin’ game?” was my response, oh well). So I’m glad I can download that now and get my game on.
If nothing else, I’m buying it as a protest vote to get more real PS1 classics on there. If third parties can see that these things sell, they’re probably more likely to put more stuff on there quick-sharp.
As someone said, more weeks should be like this. I’m sure there’s stuff from your ol’ archives that you can dig up and offer when there’s a slow week (like a good ol’ SCEE-published PS1 classic or two), so I hope to see more packed weekly updates. =)
Nice one on the continuing special offers too. I’m usually very wary against spending over a tenner on certain games over digital download, but the PSP EA Replay has caught my eye for a while and I wasn’t prepared to splash £16 on it. At £12, I’m thinking now may be the time. Road Rash on the go, awesome.

woohoo, I’ll have to get some more PSN cards.
Assassin’s Creed PSP looks fantastic, though IGN says it doesn’t play that way (still, what do they know?!).
I’ve been waiting for Gravity Crash for ages, so really happy to see that’s out on Tuesday.
