Okay, I’m not going to beat around the bush, I think we’ve got a cracking line-up this week…and if you all moan at me this week, you will have crushed my last bit of faith in humanity:)
For PS3 users you can get hold of Critter Crunch (trial and unlock) and Invincible Tiger, as well as the demo for Smash Cars, there are two packs available for Dragon Age: Origins (that’s my weekend gone then) and a host of other content too.
Oh, did I mention a certain Snake makes an appearance this week too…we finally have the PSone classic Metal Gear Solid available!
Also, I think you PSP owners will be feeling some love this week with titles available such as LittleBigPlanet, Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, The Warriors and plenty more. There are also two further minis on the store this week, Echoes and Pinball Dreams; for the full list of this week’s content have a scroll down.
There will also be a couple of titles made available this coming Tuesday (24th of November)…I was going to be mean and keep you waiting but I wouldn’t do that to you all
. Therefore on Tuesday you’ll be able to get hold of Gravity Crash (both the full game and a trial & unlock) and for LittleBigPlanet an Assasssin’s Creed costume will be available too.
Leave comments as usual, but please keep in mind that I don’t work on the Video Download Service, so I won’t be supplying answers about that…
Have a good week!

Great update, really at a loss for what to get. EyePet Lucky Dip, Dragaon Ages Wardens Keep along with LBP PSP and maybe AC Bloodlines perhaps? Need time to play all this stuff though!
On the Dragon Age front, I got the collectors edition today and none of the free dlc that comes with it is showing up, is that just due to store update not having been out?
Oh and Gravity Crash on Tuesday??? Ohhh yes please!!!

update is up … in a fashion.
Metal Gear Solid appears in main screen, along with Critter Crunch (if you keep refreshing) – nothing else appeared yet … guess it’s updating a bit slowly …

Excellent update this week Mr Kebby.
And may I thank you and all your colleagues for pushing for MGS1 to finally get released over here. First thing that I bought.
Don’t stop now though! Plenty more PS1 classics that need to arrive on our stores!

Indeed, games that marked my childhood as the Final Fantasy saga, Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Legend of Dragoon, Abe … It comes little by little.
Talking about Capcom, Devil may Cry was totally cancelled right?

Heya Mike, awesome update! It seems like you’re safe for a week
Anywho i don’t suppose you’ve heard anything about the Disgaea 3 trophy patch have you? It’d be awesome to get it before Christmas so i can lose my life to that game all over again

Oh I forgot to ask about DEMON’S SOULS. That game has done great in the US. Sold over 150k first few weeks!
Is there any interest in publishing the game in Europe from other publishers? If not, is there any chance SCEE will publish it? Surely with almost a 90 metascore and 150k sales in US a publisher would be crazy not to pick it up.

So glad that we’ve FINALLY got confirmation of a release date for the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC! Considering the delay and inconvience we’ve suffered surely there should be some sort of discount on the pricing side of things, perhaps?

I bet you don’t reply to me,
1)Ireland should get an RTE Player(seriously come on….Jeez it would make my PS3 better. my friend is watching Sky on his Xbox360 and My PS3 is empty.)
2)I don’t think Ireland has Video Store. Thanks?
It really does everything huh? LOL Reply if you can. -_-

I know, more than 200 commenters have said it before me, but: GREAT UPDATE! This is how it should look like. MGS, LBP and Assasins Creed for PSP! Damn, my wallet is gonna empty fast…
Sad to see, that the VideoStore isn’t coming to Switzerland yet, but…hell, I wouldn’t have any money left to spend, so can wait a little bit more.

Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 8:38 pm by moriarty1975
@297 just use the ps3’s browser to use rte’s player, nothing good on it anyway. and no ireland does not have the video store and if it did you’d only be complaining about the price of everything on it!! Bit of a rip off from what i hear.

Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 8:52 pm by Strideristhebest
See, this is how you do it. There’s a decent classic, two genuinely good psn games and lots of other goodies. It’s the psp prices tha t impress the most. Great price for Little Big Planet, and that Disgea price is far more sensible.
If Sony ensured the all old releases were £12 and new games were £22 they would be a lot of happy punters.

Hey Mike,
When can we expect Crisis Core for PSP or at least Dissidia?
I changed my old Fat for new Go! and didn’t know the library of games isn’t full. I own Crisis Core on an UMD drive, but I would love to see it on my brand new Go!
I assume Square Enix is making problems with distributing their own games in Europe, but it’s quite unfair from your side also – before the Go! release, Sony admitted you’re going to create a program to convert UMD discs to apply it for Go!. Now our only chance is to wait, but how long?

Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 9:06 pm by MaxiM_82
One thing: I wait and I wait, and there’s still no Williams Pinball Classics in the store, and as the flag next to my nickname clearly suggests I’m not in Australia or New Zeland… What gives?

Thanks for putting the Warriors PSP on the store and cheap too. Even though I already have it for my Slim it’s just nice to see it available if I got a Go at some point. It’s my favorite PS2 game and I was glad to see it ported so well to a handheld.

Hopefully F1 2009 will be out around midnight, to match up with the U.K. release date. If not, I pray that we don’t have to wait until December 18th, which is the Japan release date for it. I too bought a PSN card solely for this game last week thinking that it was going to be out on Tuesday (since I am from U.S.) but still no news. : (

No MGS for New Zealand? I know thats just laziness from Konami. For sure. We have the easiest laws, licensing and ratings system out there. Our country is so easy going they allow all sorts of parallel importing and other things things like that. Our censors let anything through and it’s just the easiest country to arrange things with.
Konami have just made an arbitrary decision that we are too small a market to bother with. Is Sony going to let all third parties do that to small countries eventually?

Congratulations on getting up a very awesome update! I’ll have to download lots of stuff when I get some free time from work in two or three days.
I have a suggestion to make, however. It would be very much appreciated, not only by me, but many others I’m sure, if you could show the size each piece of content takes up. Not only on this blog update, but on the PSN store itself as well, as the US one does. It’s very useful, please consider it, thank you.
Posted on 20 November, 2009 at 9:54 am by Mike Kebby
Size is something I can’t provide just yet, I don’t get this information for every piece of content, and I don’t have time to download everything to get that info unfortunately.
Hopefully at some point it will be easy to extract this information and start posting it, we’ll see.

Well done with getting MGS1 on psn store mike and team. Any news on the resi or more importantly the Oddworld games. This would make my PSP almost as hot as the PS3 for me. 2010 is the year I feel the PS3 is gonna put microsoft back into the Ice Age. LOL

Good to see MGS, its about time we got more good PS1 games instead of the mostly preschool stuff its been getting recently.
I’ve got a question though, where is Suikoden?
The US Store got it ages ago and that game is like gold dust to try to get hold of.
Stoo.

Hey Mike sorry to be a downer again but there is no Little Big Planet on the PSN store here in New Zealand. Did it as well not get submitted for release here like MGS.
Any chance you could briefly describe Licensing Issues and how they affect release to locales.
Thanks for the input.

URGENT: Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines is NOT WORKING!
I downloaded Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines from the PSN store for my PSP Go.
When the game launches, you see the “loading” symbol turning around and instantly the system freezes and turns off… this happens EVERY TIME!!!
Just to be sure I deleted the game and downloaded it again and the same thing happened, so I tried downloading it to a PSP 3000 and the same crashed ocurred…
What is going on? I paid 30 euros for a game I cannot even start!!! I have about 15 downloaded games and have never had a problem!

how ironic i was just talking about how MGS needs to go back to its original roots.
wow thats freaky, im scared!
just 1 question.
if i buy resident evil 2 off the US PSN will it work on my Australian PSP?
since if i wait for it to come on the AU PSN well, my kids will have great grand kids by the time that happens.
thanks.

Woot! Finally, a decent PSOne game! ^^ Now just get Resident Evil 1, 2 and 2, Silent Hill and Final Fantasy VIII and IX.
Also we got Disgaea! Yay!
And Mike, I know you don’t answer about the Video Store but do you know how often it will be updated? You know, like this store is updated every Thursday? Thanks ^_^
