Okay, I’m not going to beat around the bush, I think we’ve got a cracking line-up this week…and if you all moan at me this week, you will have crushed my last bit of faith in humanity:)
For PS3 users you can get hold of Critter Crunch (trial and unlock) and Invincible Tiger, as well as the demo for Smash Cars, there are two packs available for Dragon Age: Origins (that’s my weekend gone then) and a host of other content too.
Oh, did I mention a certain Snake makes an appearance this week too…we finally have the PSone classic Metal Gear Solid available!
Also, I think you PSP owners will be feeling some love this week with titles available such as LittleBigPlanet, Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, The Warriors and plenty more. There are also two further minis on the store this week, Echoes and Pinball Dreams; for the full list of this week’s content have a scroll down.
There will also be a couple of titles made available this coming Tuesday (24th of November)…I was going to be mean and keep you waiting but I wouldn’t do that to you all
. Therefore on Tuesday you’ll be able to get hold of Gravity Crash (both the full game and a trial & unlock) and for LittleBigPlanet an Assasssin’s Creed costume will be available too.
Leave comments as usual, but please keep in mind that I don’t work on the Video Download Service, so I won’t be supplying answers about that…
Have a good week!

CONTENT UPDATE – Just to let you all know that two titles have been requested to be pulled from the update by the publishers, these titles are NBA 2K10 and Williams Pinball Classics.
Apologies,
Mike

Now that’s an update! Finally! See SCEE? It’s not that hard if you try. Now steadily (unlike to this point that is) bring us the rest of PSOne Classics and we’ll live together happily ever after.

I read “CONTENT UPDATE – Just to let you all know that two titles have been requested to be pulled from the update by the publishers,” and feared MGS was pulled for a second lol.

When i bought a £50 PSN card yesterday i thought it would last me all month.
That was before SCEE announced the Video store for today and before Mikey poo told us about this huge update.
You have successfully taken ALL of my birthday money Mike – i hope you are happy.

Great update this week, Should we expect a flood of content in the run up to christmas? Are you in charge of the video-store too, will there be a blog post about new films being added?
Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 5:11 pm by Mike Kebby
I’m looking after the Game Store only, Video and Comic are run by different teams.

Great update! Might buy EA replay simply for road rash. Used to play it on a sega mega drive when I was really young. I was devastated when our mega drive broke. Might get gravity crash too. I would probably buy a lot more, but I’m saving up for a PS3 (come on christmas!).

@233 Sony didn’t say Ireland was getting the Video Service this year (unless you’re talking about Northern Ireland). Go and check the Gamescon conference again if you don’t believe me.

Mike quick question if I may, I think you are the man to ask about this, any responce would be greatly appreciated.
I’m an English guy in Sweden and bought Buzz last year and was looking to buy some additional quiz packs after the original question got abit stale. Problem is after I buy the quiz packs on the Swedish Store (which is in English) and go in-game the packs arent there! Turns out I have to switch my system language to Swedish because the packs only support one language.
It would be nice if we could choose which language we would like to download in (or which version?) or at least include all the languages on dlc that are included on the full games disc (but i understand there might be file size issues here?).
I’m not sure whether it’s anything you can do something about but maybe if you could send it up the tree? Cheers mate, you are awesome at what you do.

I won’t be buying anything, since there’s nothing I’m interested here this week, but I won’t complain, it’s a very good update.

I see you have put a speical “PS one” boarder around MGS, this is good and should be done with all PS one classics from now on, i think SCEE are starting to see it is the little things like this that make the service better.

Another late store update. Strange how Microsoft doesn’t EVER have the problems Sony have. You do realise SCEE has become a standing joke, and is recognised for it’s terrible reliability rather than a few successes over the years.
SCEE should be able to update the store at a regular time by now.

Much better update, good work on this one, now to get round to releasing the things at say, midnight on the Wed/Thurs, as opposed to bed time on the Thursday…
Also…and I’m sorry to upset you after you were all gleeful at a good update this week, but…where be my Vagrant Story? I only ask about that (And not FF8 and 9 too) as it’s actually been announced, teased for last week, and now is nowhere to be seen. It’s disheartening!
Loves you! In a platonic sense…

i don’t usually post anything here unless i’ve got an axe to grind but i have to give you guys credit this week, it’s been an ace update!
i’ll first ask why more was made of Facebook and the colour of the friends list than of either Critter Crunch OR MGS? these two titles are gonna make bucks and Facebook really isn’t gonna do much for the PS3. Please start givin the things we have been asking for the most exposure and the throw the little things in as a bonus, i had to search for both the above titles when really you should be shoving them down my throat in a Biggs kinda fashion. they’re not even on the What’s New section whereas Leona Lewis on Vidzone is. seriously guys, what’s going to make a bigger impact? and why do you tell me the games i have recently played on the What’s New section as well? i know i’ve recently played them, you don’t have to advertise them to me, i bought them already! replace these with Critter Crunch + MGS and YOU WILL MAKE MORE MONEY!
299
Posted on 19 November, 2009 at 6:57 pm by TOMMO121081
lastly, very happy to see the movie service, HOWEVER (lol, bet you didn’t see that coming!) we need the same search criteria when looking through rented titles as we do on the whoile store front altogether: alphabetical, genre, age grouping. personally, i’m not gonna search through all 500+ rented titles if i’m browsing, but if i fancied renting as horror, i should be able to go >rent->horror->make selection. given that this is another money spinner you have to make it as easy as possible for us to spend our money. PLEASE!!! TAKE MY MONEY!!! JUST SHOW ME WHERE THE FREAKIN GOODS ARE!!!!
you guys are notoriously bad at listening to us about stuff like this, especially the demos section on the game store, so please do your revenue a favour and help us spend our money.
i know it might not seem it, but i’m really happy with this weeks update.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND KUDOS TO AAAAAAAAAAAAALLLL!
but seriously, do as i say and you WILL make more money. after the losses reported earlier this month and the fact that Sony doesn’t expect to be turning over a profit until 2013 (see the news) everyone would appreciate it, not just us gamers.
