Hi all,
Welcome to the penultimate SingStore update of 2009! Christmas is approaching as fast as Santa on a rocket-powered sleigh so, with this weeks update, you can already start preparing for your festive SingStar parties.
Download the crackin’ ‘Festive Fun 2’ SongPack which includes classics such as Doris Day version of ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, ‘Step Into Christmas’ by Elton John and Nat King Cole with ‘A Cradle In Bethlehem’. If you’re after something a little less traditional, you could give ‘Please Come Back Home’ by Glasvegas or Sarah Connor’s ‘Christmas In Your Heart’ a try.
But because it’s not time for jingle bells and mince pies just yet, below is a full list of songs you can keep yourselves occupied with whilst waiting for Santa. Personally, I’ll be passing my SingStar time with a little bit of Cornershop, Placebo, James Morrisson and Mika this week.
I hope you’ll also be very excited about the Snow Patrol SongPack which is exclusive to the SingStore! Please note that the French Starter Pack: Hits français listed below will be released on 2/12.
Last but not least, I have just had some good news on the upcoming 4.30 patch from the dev team which I’d like to pass on:
‘The SingStar v4.30 update was submitted to our Format QA teams (FQA) last Friday. We delayed the submission by several days to put in some code that will allow us to unlock the save data in a future release. This was done because of your feedback. This morning I received conformation that the SingStar v4.30 has passed FQA for Europe. We are now waiting for the Format QA teams in America to pass SingStar v4.30, which we expect to happen this week. Additionally the final checks for the new server are being conducted this week. We are now firmly on track for release on the 1st December’.
Any questions on that, post them here and I’ll get the team to reply to them asap.
Remember that the next and final SingStore update this year will hit your PS3s in three weeks’ time (17/12) – but I promise you, the extra week will be well worth the wait!

Hey Nina,
last time I have asked for songs from Sarah Connor and you told me that there are no plans for now. So thank you for Sarah Connor it was a big suprise for me.
But unfortunately I do not download any christmas songs…
So maybe a song from “No Angels” in the next months? But please no christmas song

Hello Nina!
I’ve a big problem with singstar since I downloaded the 4.30 patch!! Most of my downloaded songs are unplayable! It is said: “this song cannot be played because his owner has been deleted..” But I didn’t change anything and I ‘ve never had any problems with Singstar before the 4.30 patch!!What’s going on? What am I supposed to do? It is said that I have to delete the song and download it again via singstore, but now it’s impossible to reach the singstore (error ss7-1). And most of all, I hav a singstar party tonight!!!
Please HELP!!!

We are aware of the issue and are looking into it right now. In the meantime, yes, deleting and re-downloading your DLC does work.

I’m having trouble with the Singstar Store and my online profile…. I have just updated to 4.30, but I can’t access any of the online content….. It gives me error code ‘SS7-1′ (same as the person above). Please help!

How about some more dance music? Even if it could just be the artists already on the store e.g. September, Booty Luv, Freemasons, Milk Inc.
A licensing agreement with All Around The World would be great for artists like Cascada, Flip and Fill, N Trance, Kelly Llorenna, Ultrabeat, Styles & Breeze, etc.
