Hi everyone, my name is Ralph Egas and I am the producer and lead programmer at Abstraction Games. We are the developer of Chillingo’s Dracula – Undead Awakening for PSP minis, which releases in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on Thursday, November 26, 2009!
Having been through the development process for PSP minis, we are convinced that Dracula – Undead Awakening feels and plays perfectly on the PSP, and of course we hope that you’ll agree! We have put our heart and soul into developing this game, with a result of an amazingly playable, enjoyable experience.
Because of the PSP’s great hardware capacity, abilities and dedicated gaming power, we are able to provide you with a one-time loading mechanism that speeds up starting the game and subsequent play sessions by a tremendous amount; it’s almost embarrassing! The always-available built-in Save feature lets you pause and stop playing whenever you need to, and you can start up and continue again at any time you wish.
Furthermore, the game runs at a stunning 60 frames-per-second at all times. This frame count makes the game look amazing. It allows for a groundbreaking level of smoothness and fluidity when you’re plowing through an insane amount of werewolves in Rush Mode, for example! As Johnny Coghlan from Chillingo recently said, we’ve really focused on allowing players to choose their favored control scheme. You can shoot in eight directions and move in any direction, or conversely you can switch the controls over so the movement is in eight directions while you can shoot at any angle! We think this works amazingly well on PSPgo.
Download the game as soon as you can – we’re sure you’ll enjoy it!

LAST!
I miss decent isometric games. This looks interesting, Any chance of a gameplay video?
Also how long did it take you guys to create your game and get it approved by Sony? What game engine are you using? Your own or a third party engine?

Have it on my iPhone – fun little game, but I’m not sure how the controls will translate to the PSP with just one directional stick.

@5 There’s a few diff control styles to choose, including using the nub for shooting and face buttons for moving.
Cheers Ralph, might check it out later…

lovely screenshots, I’m tempted if there isn’t much else this week.
the graphics make me pine for a PSP conversion of Fallout 1 + 2.. or the X Com Series…

Hi All!
Abstraction Games here.
@Suzzopher: You’re definitely not far off!
@Rob_Velocity: Good point! People owning a PSP Go will be very lucky to be able to use the stick for aiming and directional pad to walk around. For walking you actually don’t need that much precision.
@All the rest: Check it out! It’s a really cool game. Intuitive, instant action, lots of surprises and of course Dracula coolness
Cheers everyone!

Games are not worth buying unless they are on disc.
