Essentially, I’m back to say… YOU… ARE… AMAZING!!!! Not that I wanna give you a big head or anything… but you are. Reason? Do I need a reason? Yes? OK…

VidZone is officially the BIGGEST DEDICATED MUSIC VIDEO STREAMING APPLICATION IN THE WORLD!! With over 2,000,000 application downloads and 200,000,000 videos streamed so far!!

I think the correct response is “WOW!” (Or other less broadcast-able superlatives)

Because of you, all of us at VidZone enjoy coming to work every day safe in the knowledge that what we are doing is actually being enjoyed by people all around the world (I know it’s not available everywhere, but you know we are working on it… Feel free to “WHEN POLAND!!” if you feel the need). Hey everyone!

A very Happy Holidays to you all from all of us here at Insomniac Games. This is a great time of year for all of us, as we take time off to be with our family, friends, and to play all of the videogames from this year that we missed out on while making Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Some of us will be busy exploring with Nathan Drake in UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves, others will be unlocking the powers of Cole MacGrath in inFAMOUS. We might find ourselves buried in BioWare’s latest epic Dragon Age: Origins, or maybe just jamming out to Lego Rock Band with the family. Regardless, it’s an exciting holiday season with a ton of good games. Hopefully you’ve had the chance to check out Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, but if not, it’s the perfect game to cash in those gift cards for (in our humble opinion).

Every year, we send out Christmas cards to close friends and partners of the studio, and we always love to share those cards with our fans over the internet. This year’s card portraying Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Nefarious was created by Dave Guertin, our principle artist in North Carolina. He and Greg Baldwin were also responsible for the sculptures of the employee only Ratchet & Clank vinyl collectibles. There are still a few sets of these vinyls left that are being auctioned for charity to benefit Starlight Foundation. You can see their currently listed items and bid on them here.

Thanks again for all of your support for us, and for our games. We are so grateful for our fans -– and we can’t wait to get back next year and show you what we’re working on next!

Between the release of Killzone 2, the Behind The Bullet demo, the three DLC map packs and the PlayStation Home content, this has been an extremely eventful year for all of us here at Guerrilla. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to you, the fans, for supporting us throughout 2009 – by cheering us on, by playing our game, by giving us feedback and by sharing your passion. Without your enthusiasm, there simply wouldn’t be a Killzone 2. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and an exciting New Year!

Hey everyone,

The PlayStation.Blog EU is now closed for Christmas! We’ve got some messages of goodwill from various developers around the world coming up next week, but other than that things will be pretty quiet around here.

I did, however, want to take this festive opportunity to thank you all for your support over the last six months. I feel that the European Blog has grown and improved tremendously since we started back in May – and you’ve been a key part of that. I’ve created a short list of highlights which demonstrate just some of the milestones we’ve hit over the last six months:

• Welcome – You’ve Been Waiting – Our launch post! Way back on the 28th of May, just a few days before E3 kicked off.
• Live from gamescom: SCEE Press Conference – The gamescom 2009 press conference saw the unveiling of some exciting stuff, like the redesigned PS3, the Video Download Service, PSP minis and the Digital Comics service. All of which are now live and available.
• UNCHARTED 2: gamescom’s Best Console Game – UNCHARTED 2 was crowned the best console game of gamescom 2009. Just one of the many awards the game received over the last six months.
• We’re Going To TGS – Tokyo Game Show 2009 was a landmark trade show for the Blog. The US Blog’s Jeff Rubenstein and I worked together to bring content from Japan to both US and European audiences simultaneously. It worked so well, you can definitely expect to see more of this at future trade shows.

But it doesn’t end there. As we move into 2010 – and a new decade – you can expect more content from more third party publishers, more announcements and more events coverage. You’ve seen my personal pick of the highlights from 2009, but I’m intrigued to find out what yours might be. Let us know in the comments section and, while you’re there, be sure to give us your feedback on the last six months as well as the sort of content you want to see more of in 2010.

The holidays are all about the giving spirit and we’re in a giving mood!

We’re holding another Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Double Cash weekend from Thursday, December 24, 2009, at 6:00 PM GMT (what time is it in my city) through Sunday, December 27, 2009, at 7:00 PM GMT (what time is it in my city?) you would earn double for all kills and medals. Yes, you read that right, you’ll be getting Double Cash for medals as well!

Oh, and our characters have gotten into the spirit of the season to celebrate the occasion!
