‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (3rd December 2009)

For the full list of content you know what to do, scroll down for the rundown. This week (and every week from now on actually) I’ll be mentioning a few bits of content I think may be of particular interest to you. It’s obvious that there are various pockets of different users visiting the store, and it’s our job to try and make sure there’s a good mixture of content available, so whilst there won’t always be something for everyone every week, I think we’re offering a very diverse range of content to suit most people’s tastes.

Anyway, onto the content; this week we see the Bayonetta demo released to our collective shores, and it’s garnering high praise from various sources (I had to double check when I saw the 10 score given by Edge – as it’s such a rare occurrence these days) so this seems to be definitely worth checking out, especially for fans of games such as Devil May Cry.

For the sports fans among you, in particular fans of the ‘sweet science’, there are additional boxers, and modes released for Fight Night Round 4 – Hopkins, Holyfield and Liston are great additions to the roster (but personally I’d especially love to see David Haye added at some point too) J

For anybody who finds Veteran difficulty on Modern Warfare 2 far too easy, then you would have probably checked out Operation Flashpoint already and the additional pack Dragon Rising Skirmish releases today adding extra multiplayer maps and FTE missions to test your skills further.

Finally a quick mention of our latest batch of Special Offers, we have five PS3 titles and five PSP titles at reduced prices for two weeks, then from the 17th of December we will have a glut of promotions in celebration of Christmas. Full details below…

Thx Mike! Will be picking up Last Guy at that price and Killzone Liberation looks mighty tempting too.

And good to see Disney’s continued support at releasing classics. Puts other publishers to shame.

Cheers. :)

DANNY3194 3 December, 2009 @ 4:10 pm   20

Mike my boy any news on the Modern Warfare 2 Themes?

Arlanthir 3 December, 2009 @ 4:10 pm   21

Nice, some Demos to check out :)
I already have Killzone on UMD, but it’s a nice game to get at that price if you haven’t got it yet!

Thank you, Mike ;)

HeadlessHavoc 3 December, 2009 @ 4:10 pm   22

Nothing interesting for me… anyway thanks Mike, keep it coming.
Not every week we can have bombs like MGS or the Warriors ;) Otherwise it wouldn´t make fun.
No word on FF8 right?

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 4:42 pm

FF8 is in test, so once it comes out of the other side then we’ll have an idea of when we can release it.

ok-ish update on whole! will be downloading the uncharted motion comics! But the ps1 classics section is just plain….awful!!! Oh before i forget Mike any news of final fantasy 8 coming to the PSN anytime soon?

jimmy-google 3 December, 2009 @ 4:11 pm   24

No hints – I like to keep you on the edge of your seat ;)

F1 2009 will be with you next week.

Once again no bloody F1 2009 with no reason either! :(

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 4:44 pm

I’ve already answered – please give me some time to respond, I have other jobs to do also ;)

15th PlayStation anniversary and nothing “big” for PS One?? Shame on you Sony…

TrailBlazor 3 December, 2009 @ 4:12 pm   31

Another great PSone “Classic” for EU. *sigh*

addyjones1234 3 December, 2009 @ 4:12 pm   32

for god sake guys sony don’t control the ps1 classics, the publishers/devs do, the sooner you lot get that into you heads the better this place will be, mike posts here every weeks and just gets pelters because the ps1 classic isnt good, imo todays update is ok, uncharted motion comics, LBP PSP demo, bayonetta demo, the last guy reduced psp games reduced….

a few things for me today:)

Posting from the PS3 so apologies in advance if it all looks messed up. :P

Anyway, thanks again for the update.

I wish people would understand that SCEE don’t pick and choose which PS1 titles get released onto the PlayStation Store. They can only sell what the developers/publishers submit to them. e.g. If Capcom decide that they don’t want to submit Resident Evil 1/2 for release in SCEE territories, then there’s not a lot SCEE can do about it.

Regardless, do you have any news on Braid?

It was released a few weeks back on the US PlayStation Store..I spoke to the guys at Hothead Games and they informed me that the game had been submitted to SCEE etc. I assume it’s going through localisation and such, but any idea when we can expect it?

Thanks again.

brainbeat 3 December, 2009 @ 4:12 pm   34

Whens adhoc party oh and wipeout 2097 pls

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 4:45 pm

We’re looking at Ad Hoc Party now, so hopefully we can set a date (for sometime soon) as soon as possible.

betahoven 3 December, 2009 @ 4:13 pm   35

If only Capcom/Square/Konami showed as much love to European PS1 fans as Disney does…

Still no news on hustle kings mike????

hound_dog44 3 December, 2009 @ 4:13 pm   37

Hello Mike

Do you know if and when Star Trek D.A.C will be available.

devilmaker 3 December, 2009 @ 4:13 pm   38

Good thing I have an American account or I still wouldn’t have Ad-Hoc party. Its december guys. Was there a hitch getting it approved (Because its an app, not a game)?

Oh, but to also keep it positive… good to see an LBP demo as well as practically a 50% cut for KZ: Liberation, nice!

Silent_Gig 3 December, 2009 @ 4:13 pm   39

Are you guys going to make a website for White Knight Chronicles?
Also do you have the special WKC ps3 theme?

AaronSOLDIER 3 December, 2009 @ 4:14 pm   40

Hi Mike, do you know anything from Namco about the Namco Museum Essentials?

And any updates for when/if Crash Bandicoot 2 will be up?

any news on the adhocParty release date yet? would make a really nice early christmas present :)

TheKillerSnowman 3 December, 2009 @ 4:14 pm   42

Peter Pan: Adventures in Neverland LOL

Chrisalddin 3 December, 2009 @ 4:14 pm   43

From Mike Kebby twitter page
“please don’t think I’m ignoring you but I have meetings for the rest of the day”

HE not going to be round today!

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 4:46 pm

I managed to get out of one early, but I have a megaton of stuff to do by the end of the day, and I’m not around tomorrow, so I’m going to stop posting soon.

Dissapointing PSP update… why mike? Tell me whyyyyy.

Killzone, £8. Bargain! Can’t wait to see what other offers come in the lead up to xmas.

Mike do you know WHERE F1 2009 is and if at all it is coming?

If you know nothing please just say that but for 2 weeks you have ignored the question and I personally am holding off the UMD waiting for this game to come on PSN.

Mattiebo123 3 December, 2009 @ 4:15 pm   46

i was just looking through the update, a bit disapointed, then i saw the LBP PSP demo :O :D

You’re lucky Mr Mike! Was getting ready to kick off if the LitteBigPlant PSP demo didn’t make an appearance considering the yankee doodles already got it. The free NFS Shift & Bayoneta demo scores you extra points as well, but the Assassin’s Creed 2 outfit for LBP PS3 probably makes you my favourite person in the entire world!

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 4:47 pm

What do I get then for being your favourite person ;) I jest, I jest – cheques to… :)

Yeah i reckon they should have dished out some all time classic PS1 games on the store to mark the big 15th anniversary.
Saying that i have given up on ps1 games as it’s taken years just to get FFVII and MGS, can’t be bothered waiting for any more.

Braid would have been nice though, at least Shooter is next week.

Where’s the Trophy patch for fLow?

Mikhamikh 3 December, 2009 @ 4:15 pm   49

too many “Not available in Russia”

another disney game?
somebody is, as my grandad would say, “extracting the urine”.

and when are the general ps3 owning populace going to be able to get their hands on the gow3 demo?
we still don’t have any confirmation of the gow collection ever being released in europe yet do we?

Good selection, I’ll have to pick up The Last Guy at that price, and the demo of Topatoi is welcome. I still need to get Gravity Crash once I finish Critter Crunch, and next week PixelJunk Shooter will go on the list too! How is it that some people still can’t find aything to interest them on the store! Not to mention trying to get that illusive Star69 trophy in MW2 inbetween!

By the way Mr Kebby, congratulations on the promotion! I hope you still find time for us little people as you climb SCEE’s ivory tower!

Care to elaborate on how your new role is different to your last one? Are you still actively involved in weekly Store preparation? Do you have more clout when it comes to deciding what is added to the store or how it is run? Who do you report to now, and how many ‘minions’ do you control?

I trust there was a juicy pay raise in it for you too, after the [bleep] you put up with in these updates each week you deserve it! ;)

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 4:51 pm

Thanks (I forgot I mentioned that on my twitter feed) ;)

I’m looking after the store management team now (we are a small team, who look after the merchandising, marketing, and the general management of the store) however, there are lots of things that are still out of my control and are decisions that come from the main HQ in Japan, so whilst I want to shape the team in my own image, I’m not too sure how much change we can bring about, but hey, it’s extremely fun – and challenging – to try!

I’m not going anywhere in terms of the weekly store updates, I’ll be here every week as usual…you can’t get rid of me that easy.

Lee_and_Nomi 3 December, 2009 @ 4:17 pm   52

Can you please give us a time frame for Peggle and Braid. It’s been 3 weeks since Braid was put on the US store and I haven’t heard a peep from you mike (sorry if I missed it) as to when we can expect them.

Please can you answer as I can’t wait to play em. All peace and love mike :) and keep up the grand work

SpiderMike_X 3 December, 2009 @ 4:18 pm   53

Not exactly brimming with lush content this week Mike. Any dates for the EU versions of Braid and Star Trek D-A-C? Those are really all I’m looking for atm.

DOM_PNE33 3 December, 2009 @ 4:18 pm   54

Is there anyway to get news about when f-1 will be available?
game i wanted the most and still no sign of it :(
very disapointed to be honest :(

I love you Mike, but for your sake as well as ours, jump down the throat of the publishers and your higher ups to get proper classics on the PSN.

It’s free money basically, given that for the most part the work is done, barring any compatibility issues. And also, whoever is telling you that awesome games like FF8 and Vagrant Story are coming, remind them that they have to deliver after dangling that in front of us…

Meh, I mean you personally no ill will, it’s just becoming quite bleak to be a EU PSNer.

Formula 1 2009.

I wont give up on this subject until we please get an answer. Everyone elses answer gets replied to but evry week it’s the same no reply :(

markthuun 3 December, 2009 @ 4:19 pm   57

one word… VidZone…. VidZone VidZone VidZone.

VIDZONE ??? Where is it?

Been making sure this night way free from appointments, to test it out.. where is it ?

BAYONETTA! *goes crazy* Waited for this demo for ages and ages, hope Sega get the Sony heads to sort out the game before the release date, still looking forward to getting this demo, thanks chaps.

Solid_Snake1987 3 December, 2009 @ 4:19 pm   59

Not brilliant this update, but at least Disney love us Europeans. :) Still playing Disgaea so I don’t need another game yet.

Any word on COD: Classic? It released on Xbox Live yesterday (apparently but I don’t have one to check), so are we going to wait much longer? Is this punishment for it accidently being released before?

Finally Happy 15th Birthday PlayStation! So long ago now, doesn’t seem it.

TrailBlazor 3 December, 2009 @ 4:20 pm   60

Nowhere in my post did i blame sony for the lack of decent PSone classics, but i’m still allowed to be annoyed at whoevers fault it is, especially when US/JPN PSN gets great ones.

mcwildcard 3 December, 2009 @ 4:20 pm   61

Kudos for the PS3 special offers, nothing there I want or haven’t already got, but it’s certainly heading in the right direction!
Annoyingly, the only KZ DLC I bought is the one on offer, any reason why it’s just that one + the full pack?
If the other ones were there I’d snap them up at that price.

Looking forward to the 17th for some bargains! :oD

[whisper] Braid? [/whisper]

person678 3 December, 2009 @ 4:21 pm   62

Dudes, It’s not SCEE’s fault the devs don’t send them the game code for PS1 Classics. Then theres licensing, languages…

Just lay off the SCEE hate people, It’s getting old now.

twoofclubs 3 December, 2009 @ 4:21 pm   63

Aside from the Bayonetta demo I doubt I’ll be getting anything this week. However unlike most I don’t think that makes it a bad update as there’s loads of DLC, special offers and PSP content available.

Wonder how many complaints towards Sony there will be about the Disney game despite Mr Kebby saying on numerous occasions that the developers choose what to submit not Sony.

Oh, cheeky little aside, totally not your area I presume, but mebbe talk to SCEE publishing dept and tell them to give us some Demon’s Souls? It’s selling good and it’s got great reviews, don;t make me import it! :D

Jakkal_SWE 3 December, 2009 @ 4:22 pm   65

We were promised VidZone as of today (scandinavian countries), I hope to see it in a few hours.

I was hoping for some Call of Duty Classic today, but I guess not..

i have almost had it with EA

they can release sims2 on the american store but not on the european one?

i know i could just go out to the shop and get it but i hated the loading times on the game, so having it on memory stick should stop it slowing down

Another week, another terrible update.

Rob_Velocity 3 December, 2009 @ 4:22 pm   68

Another week, another terrible PSN Store update and still no sign of Braid. I’m taking the final step of disavowing myself of the European PSN Store by downloading the US version of FFVII. Having FFVII on my PSP was the only thing that kept me associating the PSP with a European account but from now on, I’ll only be buying from the cheaper and better US Store. It’s the last time I’ll bother reading the European blog because it’s just a waste of time. Goodbye and goodluck – you guys need it.

Also, PSOne Classics must now be renamed to PSOne Disney Shovelware.

jimmy-google 3 December, 2009 @ 4:23 pm   69

For those that keep mentioning the Playstations 15th birthday – its only 15 in Japan. Playstation won’t be 15 in Europe until 29th September 2010.

“Special” store updates tend to coincide with anniversaries in the relevant region.

jolly decent update folks! looking forward to trying out topatoi!

Peter pan…:/

I’ll certainly be getting a few of those rock band 2 tracks this week (especially after delayed New Fang)

And I heard there would be a Modern Warfare 2 Theme, what happened? Does it even exist?

adamzag69 3 December, 2009 @ 4:25 pm   72

Great deal with Killzone liberation, but please stop with the Disney PS1 classics, they were never classics to begin with.

You obviously have a great deal with Disney but seriously for comuters like myself we need something else to play with on our psps. At least space out the Disney releases!

It’s just lucky my mum lives in America and sends me PSN gift cards. RE2, Dino Crisis, Castlevania SOTN…..need I say more

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 4:59 pm

I understand that for some people these games are not for them, but we do have the family market to cater for also, I hope you can appreciate that.

I do understand the need for lots more adult orientated PSone Classics too though!

When is Braid out?

Smoutefretter_BE 3 December, 2009 @ 4:26 pm   74

it’s a normal update :P
Nothing fancy (execpt peter pan XD)

I for one am downloading the Uncharted comics. I’m a great fan off the games and so I want to know what’s going to happen to drake and Eddy Raja :P

store updates are getting worse , weres braid , peggle and peter pan REALLY lol . scee need a overhaul of staff

LBP PSP demo at last! Great, and topatoi demo too – i’ve been wondering what the gameplay mechanics are like for that one.
Dark Mist is a good possibility at that price too.:)

BlueFlameSkulls 3 December, 2009 @ 4:28 pm   77

Has disney got some dirt on you lot or something?

imajinetion 3 December, 2009 @ 4:28 pm   78

These methods of putting up content is got to be looked into, and changed.

This is getting ridiculous. Not a single full PSN game this week either.

How can F1 2009 still not be in the PSN Store, it’s been out for three weeks today! If this is how PSP Go owners are to be I would be very dissapointed. You very clearly stated that your aim was to release simultaneously on UMD and PSN.

Now I can understand having to wait a week or so, no problem. But three weeks and still nothing? With no estimation on when to receive it? That’s a damn shame really.

are to be treated*

Smoutefretter_BE 3 December, 2009 @ 4:29 pm   81

Ow damn forgot sth. to say (maybe put some kind of EDIT button on the comments ;) )

I’m really looking forward to pixeljunk Shooter, the trailers and gameplay movies made me warm for it :P

I also hope we get some new Dynamic themes!

feel sorry for u guys that bought a pspgo . use your head trade it and get a 3000 version coz u will only keep getting let down

hyperslug 3 December, 2009 @ 4:30 pm   83

i wonder when we will see a good ps1 game again :(, anyway a couple of nice offers as usual and lbp demo!

I agree with Rickjes

I’m a Go Owner myself and i’m rather ****** off by having to wait with no indication why we havent had an announcment from SCEE about this nor Codemasters. This isnt really impressing me on how I should keep my Go and not opt for the GT 3000 Edition…..

Please can we have an answer about Formula 1 2009 for the Store Update?

jimmy-google 3 December, 2009 @ 4:32 pm   85

@ Rickjes

I think you’ll find Sony have, its third parties that haven’t. F1 came out the same day on UMD as Jak and Daxter, Assassins Creed and Little Big Planet. Sony and Ubisoft (though Assassins Creed didn’t work) got their games on the store but Codemasters still haven’t managed to get F1 on there.

Hi Mike, please pass on my thanks to those that were part of the catch up operation for the rock band tracks, your going to get the usual guff regarding final fantasy 8 and all that but for me I appreciate the effort taken to catch up with the rock band DLC.

Thats it, cheers muchly.

MatthewSFC 3 December, 2009 @ 4:32 pm   87

Ezio Sackboy outfit and the last Killzone 2 map pack for me. :D

tekkenism 3 December, 2009 @ 4:33 pm   88

Peter Pan Adventures in Neverland?
Thats not funny anymore..

TheKillerSnowman 3 December, 2009 @ 4:34 pm   89

there are no good PS1 games in the store and i dont think we will never see a good PS1 game in the store.

Typpihappo 3 December, 2009 @ 4:34 pm   90

I’ve been keeping an eye on Dark Mist for quite a while now, and the price cut only makes me want it more! One thing keeps me from buying it, though, and PLEASE answer this if you can; will the extra character pack ever be released on our PSN? It was on Hong Kong’s Store ages ago, and I thought there’s a chance of it coming here. Is there?

Anyways, thanks for yet another great update and keep up the excellent work!

No Resident Evil 2, Dino Crysis or Soul Reaver instead we get Peter Pan WHAT’S GOING ON SONY !!

@person678 how do you know the devs didn’t send the ps1 titles to scee?
wouldn’t be the first time we’ve been told they hadn;t got the content when they had.
i doubt eidos, a british company based in wimbledon, would only release their tomb raider games in the us.
and do they ever go to the companies and ask them if they can put their titles on the store? or do they just sit back doing nothing and just wait.

Carnivius_Prime 3 December, 2009 @ 4:35 pm   93

£7.99 for MediEvil Resurrection is a good deal. I already have the game and enjoyed it greatly.

Glad there isn’t much I want to purchase cos I’m broke as it is. I’ll download the Topatoi demo though as I’ve been wanting to try it and if I like it I’ll buy it in the new year. Also will grab me the Eyepet freebies (and again the paid pack I’ll get later).

mrgreaper2004 3 December, 2009 @ 4:35 pm   94

i loved the bait and switch with modern warfare and opflash

you found modern warfare vetern mode too easy, (at this point i was thinking “new stuff for modern warfare”) well we got new maps for a very bad game called operation flashpoint (ok ok he didnt word it like that but it sure was abait and switch lol

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 5:01 pm

Ah sorry, it wasn’t the intention to tease for MW2 promise… I genuinely thought for people who enjoyed MW2 but fancied a harder challenge that it was worth mentioning.

@88 but you bought a nintendo wii not a ps3 err wait thats not right lol . it is laudable now 3 kids games in 3 weeks i sure dont know many kids under 10 with a advanced console like ps3

ninja_tom 3 December, 2009 @ 4:37 pm   96

Hi Mike,

Do you know who we can ask *if* the flow trophies patch will be released in europe? I am starting to think that it isn’t going to be even though the devs at thatgamecompany have said it was sent to sony ages ago?

Update is not too bad, LBP demo and Bayonetta demo, not too shabby!

Shame Tekken 6 on PSP has not been mentioned, didn’t you say you were going to do a coming soon blog or something a while back?

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 5:02 pm

I’d love to do a coming soon type update, but dates change so much, and some publishers keep dates under wraps right up until release day, so it would be harder to put together then I first thought :(

quarkquest 3 December, 2009 @ 4:37 pm   97

Where is VidZone, Sony at least tell us if it is delayed or what. By ignoring you make the fans really upset :(

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 5:03 pm

I’m not ignoring anybody, I have just got back to my desk and I am pounding out the replies in order…VidZone should be mentioned in a separate blog post, but yes it’s coming in the store update today.

TheKillerSnowman 3 December, 2009 @ 4:38 pm   98

i hope VIDZONE is coming today so i have something to do today when nothing but crap in the store

Capcom Classics Collection – I wonder if it’s the Remixed or Reloaded pack? Both are great but only one has all the Street Figher II games. Whichever it is, it’s good to see it on the store and I’ll download it at that price. Loved the Sega Megadrive one the other month.

Rob_Velocity 3 December, 2009 @ 4:39 pm   100

Actually one last question. Why are Microsoft able to coordinate international same day releases but Sony can’t manager same month releases?

Typpihappo 3 December, 2009 @ 4:39 pm   101

@ TheKillerSnowman: there’s CTR, for one, as well as all the old school Crashes and FFVII. There’re games like Suikoden on the US Store as well that I really hope will come over! Not to mention new Japanese Store hits FFVIII and Chocobo Racing, PLUS Vagrant Story that’s coming soon according to Square Enix. ;)

Bloodhound123 3 December, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   102

Y IS EVRY1 TALKING ABOUT PS1 CLASSICS!! now dont get me wrong ps1 ROCKS but its sooooo annoying, is that y u bought a ps3! to play ps1 games on it, if u want it so bad just buy it on ebay. anyways good update mikeface! gonna try LBP demo out for sure, also wen r those premium avatars coming out? i hope its xmas, that would be an awesome time to release em!

MaxiM_82 3 December, 2009 @ 4:40 pm   103

Peter Pan… Capcom Classics Collection for €19.99… I’m heading back on eBay for some decent content this week. Oh wait, I already bought something, so it’s another week of fun independent from SCEE. Although I would buy Blood Omen and/or Soul Reaver instantly.

TheKillerSnowman 3 December, 2009 @ 4:41 pm   104

i hate usa they allways get the good games. :@

topgearsam 3 December, 2009 @ 4:41 pm   105

i thought the first call of duty was coming out on psn today

startazz 3 December, 2009 @ 4:41 pm   106

Great store update yet again,so well done peeps :-)

@jimmy-google, that may be so. I still find it’s the hardware-supplier that sells me the system has to make sure major releases (which F1 2009 is) are available on their new download-only system.

If Codemasters are having issues that’s fine, but then just go “okay, we are having issues and are delayed.” That’s fine, I can wait if I really have to. But to just not release any information for three weeks while people are waiting on a release. Not very good customer service from either company.

Grieves1 3 December, 2009 @ 4:42 pm   108

No FFVIII, FF Tactics, Vagrant’s Story or Ninja Gaiden table for Zen Pinball, so nothing for me, but thanks for the “Heads Up!”

Have you got a new date for Williams Pinball Classics Mike?

Skookie30 3 December, 2009 @ 4:43 pm   110

“there be No let up till xmas”

Simply Amazeing Content well done SCEE (sarcasm)

what a 15th birthday for PS1 & to Mark it PETER PAN lol :D

& mike your new job wont last long with this week content.

its a so-so update 1 good demo love the jap demo of it but……

on the list something missing is Cod-classic (call of duty) suppose to be out this week as well.

scee does like to upset eurogamer & thesixaxis they reported any idea when it out……

doesn’t matter to me i got on launch be you PULLED it lol :D

Maybe next to spend my coppers as scee does not want mine today :P

For those pointing out that SCEE aren’t responsible for the lack of classic titles, that it’s all on the publishers:

You’re welcome.

gators625 3 December, 2009 @ 4:43 pm   112

Why hasn’t PES 2010 not released on PSN yet for PSPgo owners? We haven’t heard anything from you or Konami as to what the reason could be. Can you shed any light on this matter?

TheKillerSnowman 3 December, 2009 @ 4:43 pm   113

@ Typpihappo: i hate all the FF games

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 4:44 pm   114

nothing for me today thank god

Hey mike (if your still there) can you shout at ubisoft for making ACII’s save file copy prohibited?

Hopefully getting a slim tomorrow but i’ll lose my data :(

Because Microsoft’s offices in charge of online content are in a single location, where as Sony’s are in different locations and the EMEA one is pretty strict with bug testing.

makingdamage 3 December, 2009 @ 4:46 pm   116

I would love to see more ps1 games where the graphic isn´t that important because let´s face it, they look horrible today. And also games where you feel ok playing with the d-pad. Today people are so used to playing with the analog stick it feels really bad/akward to play an old ps1 game in 3d with the d-pad, so more 2d-kindish games would be cool.

So how about maybe putting up Parappa the rapper and Oddworld: Abe´s oddysee on the store?

It’s the weekly Groundhog Day, whoo!

Is there a chance for a 3.11 update anytime soon? My controller is always struggling with the sync. and my slim cannot find my blutooth headset.

hello mike When would Lego Batman be up please reply.

soopastarr007 3 December, 2009 @ 4:48 pm   120

Hey Mike, is OPM HD still being worked on? Last i heard, was that it was being developed by future publishing and released sometime in 2009.

FreeLanZerDK 3 December, 2009 @ 4:48 pm   121

I’m getting pretty sick of the horrible excuses and promises of things getting better in the EU PSN Store.

Good PS Classics are released in the US store..
Good themes are released in the US store..
Demoes are released in the US store within a respectable timeframe..
New games are released in the US store.. and will reach the EU Store 1 year later IF WE’RE LUCKY!

Act professional and stop saying you’re sorry, instead dedicate your oh-so-limited worktime to actually achieve something by releasing either the same or better content than the US store!

Finally, what imbecile picked Peter Pan for this weeks PS Classic?

tekkenism 3 December, 2009 @ 4:49 pm   122

Rob_Velocity 3 December, 2009 @ 4:49 pm   123

@115 Well then it’s time for Sony to change because at the moment their system is not working, is alienating customers and making them look inferior to their main rival – Microsoft.

KingofUniverse 3 December, 2009 @ 4:49 pm   124

What about The Saboteur DLC (Nudity etc. :D)?

Prem-aka-Prince 3 December, 2009 @ 4:49 pm   125

suom160j-sssHake 3 December, 2009 @ 4:49 pm   126

Peter Pan: Adventures in Neverland, heh heh

Sasukekun 3 December, 2009 @ 4:50 pm   127

Really Mike?
This is indeed sad sad news.
Looks like another cheap week for me then.

get2sammyb 3 December, 2009 @ 4:51 pm   128

I love the Sackboy costume. It’s awesome. Still no F1 is disappointing, but a good update otherwise Mike! :)

subernuber 3 December, 2009 @ 4:51 pm   129

Peter Pan: Adventures in Neverland….What is the joke? Peter pan or you want 4 pounds for it? That aside thumbs up to Disney for being the only publisher to support the EU store well (on the ps1 classics front).

Silent_Gig 3 December, 2009 @ 4:51 pm   130

Are you guys going to make a website for White Knight Chronicles?
Also do you have the special WKC ps3 theme?

this blog doesn’t like long links so i tinyurled iapetus’ link

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 4:52 pm   132

@124 it comes with the game not sure if its a code for the store or in game codes tho

tekkenism 3 December, 2009 @ 4:52 pm   133

Onna76_NL 3 December, 2009 @ 4:53 pm   134

Say Mike, is it true that you’re going to have a new job at the PS Store? I hope you’re able to kick games sooner into our store especially classics, and then I mean “real” classics. First Winney the Pooh, now Peter Pan, what’s next? Mickey Mouse? Its nice that Disney is seriously the “only one” taking the effort, can’t say the same about 100’s of other publishers.

Do publishers in Europe think we’re a bunch of idiots or something? A general issue we have to cope with. Still no FlOw trophy patch (got the US version anyway), no Disgaea 3 trophy patch, no GoW Collection, no Peggle, no Braid… etc.etc.etc. Not to blame you or Sony personally for that matter, but I’m really mad about it.

Ow well, at least Vidzone makes it all good :-)

TheKillerSnowman 3 December, 2009 @ 4:53 pm   135

Hi Mike can you ask SCEE why we in sweden have a problem to sycro. the trophies. it saids ERROR all the timme and everyone in sweden has the same problem

ShinMegami 3 December, 2009 @ 4:53 pm   136

Peter Pan has a score of 59 on metacritics. What a classic!!!

I can’t get the feeling off me, that Sony and Disney have some kind of exclusive deal for Europes PSN store.

My conspiracy-theory: Disney is shoveling money at Sony, so that Sony doesn’t publish the good PS1 games, but only old Disney garbage, that nobody wants to buy.

cornflakes11 3 December, 2009 @ 4:54 pm   137

Peter Pan??!! REALLY??!! What the hell are you thinking?! who would actually buy that and that goes for winnie the pooh and the little mermaid aswell, WHEN ARE WE GONNA GET SOME REAL CLASSICS??!! is there a place where we can request classics or something cause this is ridiculous! i cant believe these crappy disney games actually get through to the store they dont deserve to be there, please make a new section in the store called “[DELETED] ps1 games that nobody ever even heard of”. this makes me a sad panda :(

Demonized 3 December, 2009 @ 4:55 pm   138

I don’t see the Bayonetta demo on the store, I’ve been over it 3 times with a fine tooth comb!

@131: Thanks – hadn’t realised it was going to mangle the link quite that badly. The tinyurl link you’ve got there still includes some of the board’s mangling, though: the real one is here.

That’s a list of SCEE-published games, according to GameFAQs. I realise not all of them are necessarily Sony-owned, but there are enough great titles in there that are to provide a healthy stream of releases.

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 5:10 pm

The thing is with a list that long, many of those titles may have lapsed rights including but not limited to licensing agreements, voice actors rights, music rights – if these have lapsed, then publishers may not want to spend the money, or time, or entering into new contracts to renew these.

wauw it’s a good thing i don’t expect much or else i would have been really disapointted same lame stuff as usual shoulden’t have bought 2 psn cards cause nothing usefull 2 buy anyway pretty stupid me.
and mike did you guys fix the psp version off assasin creed 2 or is it still F up cause i was thinking off buying that.
and are we getting anything usefull this just be honest if it’s no we haven’t gotten anything usefull cause ppl on this blog rarely expect anything.

    Mike Kebby 3 December, 2009 @ 5:11 pm

Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines was fixed the next day, so you can be assured that the updated version is correctly working.

tekkenism 3 December, 2009 @ 4:59 pm   141

@134: I totally agree!

Mike is Lego Batman comeing for Christmas on the PSN Store?

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 4:59 pm   143

That’s cause the store aint updated yet

Is it just me.. or is the store not actually updated yet? :/

Also, thanks Mike for the heads up! :D. Good set of stuff here, Though I’m sure someone will complain ;)

a funny thing, you look at all the ps1 titles on the us store, nearly all of them say published by scea.
is it possible they actually published the titles to the store themselves, as in they went to the right’s holders and acquired the rights to publish the games on their store.
that couldn’t be right could it, because if they did that then why wouldn’t scee?
and putting aside the ps1 titles for a moment, what about the ps3 games?
none this week while we’re still waiting on a number of titles.
and no i don’t believe the devs haven’t given them to scee, becuase that’s been proven to be a lie more than once.

FreeLanZerDK 3 December, 2009 @ 5:03 pm   146

To Mike’s reply to #72:

Then release the Spyro games here in the EU..

Dear Mike,
Could you please explain, in steps, what a PS Classic (let’s pick Spyro 1) has to through to make it online at the EU PSN Store?

Chungles 3 December, 2009 @ 5:04 pm   147

My Store doesn’t seem to be updated? I’m wanting me some cut-price Killzone: Liberation.

That’s really all I ask for, just a good deal, or a new quality game, a week. The amount of money I’ve spent on a Go, and subsequently the good titles available for DD, I’ll remain happy so long as it doesn’t appear that the system isn’t being overlooked already.

So put up all the happy kids puppies games you want, just make sure there’s a good game with guns.

(Oh, and a cheaper Dissidia come Xmas time would be lovely, thanks.)

Fantazyer 3 December, 2009 @ 5:05 pm   148

Any idea whether or not Metal Slug anthology is coming to EU like you have it in the US store?

DANTE234 3 December, 2009 @ 5:06 pm   149

people in denmark, sweden, u will be able to download vidzone off the store when the store updates today, it’s free

CypherUK 3 December, 2009 @ 5:06 pm   150

I’m still waiting for the DJ HERO update we’d been promised last week. I’m sure they said it was going to be released in Europe last week and yet still no news. The US Store got the David Guetta pack, yet we have nothing, ironically it was made because it was more in-line with the European audience lol.

Not too fussed about any of the other updates, although the Uncharted comics are better than I expected.

Just want to know when we’ll be getting the DJ Hero Pack#2 update.

FreeLanZerDK 3 December, 2009 @ 5:07 pm   151

it’s not in scee’s hands eh?

once again the devs have no idea what’s going on.
tell me that’s not scee’s fault.
how they’ve been sitting on the patch for months yet it’s not their fault.

unitedkronos 3 December, 2009 @ 5:10 pm   159

Onna76_NL 3 December, 2009 @ 5:13 pm   165

@The killer snowman and others asking about the trophy sync error. Its an international problem, so not only for Europe and happens due peak times when there’re too many people online on PSN. Basically evenings and weekends. I notice when I synch my trophies in the morning I don’t get an error. It has nothing to do with updates, so I’ve been told, but with the servers.

Onna76_NL 3 December, 2009 @ 5:13 pm   166

Spartan-spur 3 December, 2009 @ 5:21 pm   174

Hi Mike, 1st time poster.

I’d like to thank you for the weekly store update blogs, they are always something I look forward to on thursday afternoons at work, even if some aren’t to spectacular for us psp go owners!

I can only sympathise with you on the psone classics, its obviously in the hands of the developers and you can’t expect sony to not try and sell content made available to them. I bet you shudder everytime Disney send you a new game to upload as you now know the reaction that follows EVERY WEEK!

I just have two questions for you:

1)Can we expect a release schedule for new psp games on psp in future? It would be nice to know in advance if games may not release alongside the umd version, such as F1. A simple release TBA would do…

2)This may have been covered loads before but: Is there any news on Square Enix releasing their big psp games on PSN such as Dissidia and War of the Lions? Are they considering not releasing them on EU PSN?

Great work Sony on the ever-improving special offers and the new psp go promotion btw!!

oh yeah, have a good weekend mike, don’t do anything i wouldn’t do, or many of the things i would :)

Croopnick_PL 3 December, 2009 @ 5:22 pm   176

About Disney PS one “calssics”
I understand “family market” but I bet that Disney games don’t sells as good as MGS or FFVII.
EU PSS needs download chart like US.

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 5:22 pm   177

With the whips and chains

No wait thats just my basement

and biker_j this job isn’t as hard as scee are making it look, otherwise ms and nintendo wouldn’t be able to show scee up each and every week.
if scee really cared they’d do a much better job.

@ HazeIAM

Lets see you do better ;)

Lill-Frick 3 December, 2009 @ 5:27 pm   180

what happend to tekken 6 ?

Dante_Zero 3 December, 2009 @ 5:27 pm   181

surely if microsoft’s submissions process is different but are able to release things world wide intenationally surely they have proved their system works instead of having to issue pathetic appologies because this developer or that HQ cant do anything or say anything. SCEa at least take resposibilty. all i ever hear from SCEE or representatives from them is them playing the blame game.

take some responsibilty for once. the store update are becoming stupid. i understand you have to cater to a family audience but not at the cost of your adult audience. it’s absolute joke. i used to look forward to thursdays. now i dread them cause i know i’ll be disappointed and then i’ll have to troll through pathetic excuses as to why i cant spend money on products that are available in other regions.

anymore of this and i think you’ll be getting an early christmas present from me my ps3 and all my games accessorys along with a written request for a rebate).

Chungles 3 December, 2009 @ 5:27 pm   182

Any idea when the store will be updated in the UK?

10 more movies added to video store lmao so much for 50 new films a week according to scee head andrew house ,

Strideristhebest 3 December, 2009 @ 5:28 pm   184

Why are PSP Go owners constantly getting shafted? Why aren’t games coming out on UMD Digital release like Sony first promised. Why can’t Sony show some gumption and force publishers to use the same prices? Charging full RRP to a captive audience shows the publisher has no respect for the customer and Sony are just as bad for letting this happen.
£20 should be the price for all new releases, with older titles selling for between £10-£15 It’s like Sony don’t want the Go to be a success.

Where is the AFI Pack for rockband? Its not on that list but I hope it will be in the store today. It should have been there 14 days ago!

waypoetic 3 December, 2009 @ 5:29 pm   186

PlayStation celebrates it’s 15:th birthday (!) and this is what we get on the PlayStation Store in europe. EEEH?

Skookie30 3 December, 2009 @ 5:29 pm   187

*sigh* you cant win with scee, let‘s face it you know it & i know it, SCEE sucks balls,

Scea is ten times better, the scea-blog is not updated let‘s see what they get.

but it be better i wait next week like the rest of you & scee will treat us as fools :|

sowasred2012 3 December, 2009 @ 5:30 pm   188

Gawwwwd…. Apparently everybody’s an expert on how better to do Mike and his teams job!

I’m betting they *know* that FF8 and a whole bunch of other classics will sell better than the Disney games, it’s not their fault if Sony runs their company in a much different way than MS and Nintendo and we wind up getting stuff later.

They’re quite clearly giving us what they can, judging from Mike’s sometimes exasperated sounding comments – I’m betting there are ways and means to put it to Sony that we’d like to see an improvement in content delivery, but this is so not it.

MaxiM_82 3 December, 2009 @ 5:31 pm   189

Mike, you say: “The thing is with a list that long, many of those titles may have lapsed rights including but not limited to licensing agreements, voice actors rights, music rights – if these have lapsed, then publishers may not want to spend the money, or time, or entering into new contracts to renew these.”

So tell me, how is it that US don’t have that many problems and they release 3x more content in their Store? But please refrain from saying “because they are encrusted with jewels…” and stuff like that. Just tell us, maybe then we’ll magically understand what the heck is wrong with SCEE.

seany1 what new moovies is there?

sony promised there would be a universal certification system for psn content some time last year, i still want to know what happened to that.

Amigaguru 3 December, 2009 @ 5:32 pm   192

keep them Disney games comming!,we love em over here.
I’ve got a family so theese games ain’t bad and i’ve bought em all so far (and btw i have all Disney games done for ps1 on Originals aswell in mint condition).

After u guys are done with disney ,can you guys try to push out some Sony platformers/jump’n run ones too? .
here is a few tips:
Hermie Hopperhead (SCEJ 1995,one of the best games ever in the J’n’R)
The Mis Adventures Of Lomax (SCEE/Psygnosis 1996(?), awesome J’n’R).

Other than that,Mike ,You & your team have raised the Store updates from average at best to a Pretty good standard weekly.

ps:i’ve still not got my pspGo redeem code from the release week campaign of PspGO / GT. any hints?

pps:sorry for the long post

roxas, i’m shocked, i’m a good girl >_>

and biker_j, oh i’d love to try.

amigaguru, you ever play tomba?
that was a great little platformer.

@191 theres , the proposal , transformers 2 , last house on the left , orphan , cheri , gforce and couple more all to buy at 11.99 bar 2 old 1s , total crap imho

Dante_Zero 3 December, 2009 @ 5:37 pm   196

@ 189

i’d more than gladly take up a role and use my influence to get things sorted. id speak my mind and be honest with people instead of silly and misleading comment. and also it is kind of their fault that Sony dont run the same way other companys are because there departments are onviously unable to comunicate or feed back. if i started a petition via the blog how many millions would sign and give feedback via that? and i bet you that things still will not change.

all we ask is equality for the EU. is this so much to ask cause if it is then i’d rather i got a warning letter with my purchases so that if i was not happy i could return them knowing ive been warned that i wont be treated equally as any other Sony Computer Entertainment consumer.

Thanks Mike, great to hear that F1 2009 is coming. :D

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 5:38 pm   198

Oh and i’m a good boy :)……Kinda (insert devil music)

yuukun_uk 3 December, 2009 @ 5:38 pm   199

I would like to know when Hustle Kings is out, this waiting is killing me. I wouldn’t care much if we had a solid confirm date, but waiting every week to see if it pops up is not a nice thing.

Vaistrat 3 December, 2009 @ 5:39 pm   200

Many thanks for the Bayonetta demo!,by the way, is there any chance we might see the popular demo premise (“work in progress”) come to a happy and fruitful ending on our side this time, due to the recent buzz news about sony “polishing its international release”?

Dante_Zero 3 December, 2009 @ 5:39 pm   201

sorry my last comment was directed at 188 not 189. appologies if anyone got confused.

can you imagine sony running this psn premium lol who in europe would pay then u see u.s still get a shed load of better stuff

Dante_Zero 3 December, 2009 @ 5:42 pm   203

id would actually pay if it meant that we got equality.

i bet you’ve got something by black sabbeth on in the background at all times don’t you roxas? :)

yeah but dante, you just know we’d end up paying to get the same level of service they give the us for free.

thats what im sayn dante i think we all know it wouldnt bring that

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 5:46 pm   207

Not all the time….

sometimes its darth vaders theme do do do dododo do dodo

just shows what scee are doing to customers with this treatment , i had 2 ps3s in my house 1 for blu rays in living room other for games and ive traded 1 console in to get a 360 , if this doesnt change from scee i really dnt see point in having a ps3 tbh its getting that bad

ah well, everybody’s got to have a theme tune. :)

Amigaguru 3 December, 2009 @ 5:48 pm   210

Yes i have both and completedboth but my kids think the adv/puzzle stuff is too hard.

would be awesome if we got Punky Skunk and Monkey Magic, great games too.

Smegzilla 3 December, 2009 @ 5:52 pm   211

Bayonetta demo will be one for me to download, thanks.

Also correct me if I’m wrong (and I’m not) but I bought Dark Mist for £4.99 when it was released. So the price went UP and then down so you could say it was a deal and then hike up the price? Crafty.

ShogunDarius 3 December, 2009 @ 5:52 pm   212

no dlc for saboteur?

as in that, and no there is no nudity beyond the link

Stop with the Disney games for PSone!
No one wants them.

Why is the EU store resorting to re-releasing shoddy PSone titles when the resto of the world are getting some truly class “A” games like Final Fantasy VIII, All the Tomb Raiders, Resident Evil, etc.

And where is our Silent Hill?
The US now have is, so there is no excuse for the EU store to not have it.

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 5:53 pm   214

this ^ is for everyone complaining about now getting a answer

What’s your theme tune hazel? :D

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 5:54 pm   215

Shogun the DLC comes with the game

Think there’s codes in the box

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 5:56 pm   216

No edit argh

Just checked that link and thats strange i was told by a dev that all of them had the DLC

Majiinfreddy 3 December, 2009 @ 6:00 pm   217

Thanks for the update!
Though I really wish Sony could start giving us good things..
Can’t remember the last, good Update we had!
And, wth is up with all theese Disney games?! XD My gf wont even touch ‘em, and she loves Disney -.-
Though, Bayonetta demo is welcomed along with Uncharted 2 stuff <3

tekkenism 3 December, 2009 @ 6:02 pm   218

Bloodhound123 3 December, 2009 @ 6:04 pm   219

StuntF50 3 December, 2009 @ 6:10 pm   223

Any news on premium avatars or at least if they will hit the US store today?

September, man. September.

Chrisalddin 3 December, 2009 @ 6:10 pm   224

the Store is now LIVE!

bravo9zero 3 December, 2009 @ 6:13 pm   225

Will we get any free avatars this year?
You’d think Avatars would take Sony/Devs a few minutes to make..

It’s been a year and a half since our last avatar update(maybe more)

Chungles 3 December, 2009 @ 6:16 pm   226

Prices for special offers remain the same?

squadass99 3 December, 2009 @ 6:19 pm   227

a bit off topic but can someone bug NIS for a release date of the disgaea 3 trophy patch? nice update BTW :D

Dante_Zero 3 December, 2009 @ 6:19 pm   228

too true. pay for something get nothing. thats the SCEE moto.

Very nice update, for sure getting flash n’ thunder killzone 2 dlc.

But 1 question, when is Vagrant Story coming to EU store? :) thanks on fore hand. And is cod: classic coming next week, and F1 2009? :)
Anyways, thanks again for a wonderful update, VidZone should be here in Sweden now.

Lord_Sprcmptr 3 December, 2009 @ 6:28 pm   230

Hi Mike,
Just a quick question about FF8.
Is there any plans in the pipeline for a patch to fix the problem with loading original FF8 discs on a ps3?

blackmarvel00 3 December, 2009 @ 6:28 pm   231

I really can’t find bayonetta or any of these updates on the ps store, please help

Virthuall 3 December, 2009 @ 6:29 pm   232

k-man450 3 December, 2009 @ 6:30 pm   233

Hi Mike.
Why the Bayonetta Demo is not available in Denmark? I thought it is only Germany which does not have it.

Bloodhound123 3 December, 2009 @ 6:32 pm   234

VidZone should be released in NZ today according to the update a few weeks ago! Can’t wait to get home and check it out!

Bloodhound123 3 December, 2009 @ 6:41 pm   236

vicentecarro 3 December, 2009 @ 6:42 pm   237

224: still no store update in spain

Oops scratch my last post, it’s out next week :(

cybertaylor4 3 December, 2009 @ 6:42 pm   239

at 234 doooo not get a go just stick with a regular psp and for pixel no idea

Toothball 3 December, 2009 @ 6:44 pm   240

Do people even buy these Disney PS1 releases? I’ve been waiting years to see the Wild Arms games appear on the Euro store after already being made available in the US, but week on week they just don’t seem to want to come out with these. Its really frustrating.

Seems to get later and later for these updates.

Bloodhound123 3 December, 2009 @ 6:47 pm   242

at 239, my lil bro can have my old psp then we can play 2 player since u dont have to buy the game twice

Croopnick_PL 3 December, 2009 @ 6:47 pm   243

@ Zewee (241)
Hell yeah!
I remember times when update goes live at 12 am.

Bloodhound123 3 December, 2009 @ 6:48 pm   244

maybe it’ll update around 7ish

Looks like someone forgot to hit the on switch before leaving the office today.

Dark-Rakugosha 3 December, 2009 @ 6:50 pm   246

Seems most of my posts get deleted around here, wonder why?

Maybe I wouldn’t have to post stuff like this, if people over at SCEE actually gave a jot about what it’s customers want.

Totals as of November 26th- PSP: 98, PSN: 12, PSOne: 52 (162 Total Titles missing compaired to the American PSN. Tonight, that list will get larger.

Make yourself heard, lets tell them what we think:

Croopnick_PL 3 December, 2009 @ 6:50 pm   247

Update is live now.
Bayonetta 1664 MB…yep 1.6 GB.

(singing) “come on EA,come on EA, ive got loads of money waiting to spend,

why dont you give me sims 2 and castaway and i will be more than happy

owwwwww come on EEEEAAAAAAAA

addyjones1234 3 December, 2009 @ 6:51 pm   249

oh and eyepet should be styling pack 7 not 6;)

Might actually get to play something before i have to go to sleep so i can function at work tomorrow

quarkquest 3 December, 2009 @ 6:55 pm   251

The store is live now, however Vidzone did not appear :(, Mike you replied in your post# 97 that it will arrive with the store update, so where is it now?????

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 6:56 pm   252

The Bayonetta demo is only 700 odd MB on the 360 wth

roxas, couldn’t pin it down to a single song right now but probably something by evanescence.
although there are a few avril lavigne tracks that i like, anything but ordinary speaks to me though.

squadass, they probably already have released the trophy patch, scee have it on a hard drive somewhere and haven’t done anything with it, like all the other content locked in “the dungeon”.

BiosNova 3 December, 2009 @ 6:56 pm   254

Mike i really think PS one classics need to be marked as such, the Peter Pan game looks like a normal PSN game. Don’t you want to brand the PS one classics as such? It was done with MGS so why stop?

BiosNova 3 December, 2009 @ 6:58 pm   255

Also there are many items with dates missing on them? Why is the info on the store so inconsistant? It makes it looks really unmanaged (not that im saying it is) but it does look like such

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 6:59 pm   256

i’m not much of a music fan xD so i have no idea who they are hazel is that bad? :D

oh and i love that mad world song :)
and you might not have heard of her but alex parks does a fantastic cover version of that song on her first album, got a great version of imagine as well, not as good as lennon’s version but still great.

serendipiddy 3 December, 2009 @ 7:01 pm   258

ty for the Go love – AC bloodlines for me :)

Dante_Zero 3 December, 2009 @ 7:01 pm   259

@255. i’mm gonna be brave and say it for you. the PAL stores are clearly and blatanly unmanaged.

(singing another song)

why am i waiting FOR SIMS

why am i waiting FOR SIMS

Paranoimia 3 December, 2009 @ 7:04 pm   261

Killzone Liberation is still £14.99?

Not that it bothers me, as I already have it on UMD, but the post says £7.99… people aren’t going to be happy. Not that they ever are, but still…

They haven’t fully updated the price of some of the ‘special’ offers!!

Killzone and Gangs of London still show as £14.99

Smegzilla 3 December, 2009 @ 7:04 pm   263

Uh, for some reason Gangs of London and Killzone Liberation are £14.99 when it says here they should be £7.99. What gives?

you’ve never heard of evanescence or avril lavigne?
not bad really, but i’d say you’re missing out.
i couldn’t criticise about not knowing music, i didn’t know any of the pictured artists in the vidzone update article :)

bios, despite what the saying says, not all appearances are deceptive :)

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 7:06 pm   265

Now mad world i know XD

I used to be able to play that on the keyboard :)

Never heard of her before but if she does a good ver of mad world i’ll defiantly look that up

RomuZeus 3 December, 2009 @ 7:07 pm   266

Great to have Bayonetta’s demo!

Any chance on getting Castlevania: SOTN in Europe? It’s one of the best PSone games!

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 7:07 pm   267

this is [DELETED]

on the store it says that killzone and gangs of london for psp is 15pounds

but here it says its only 8 or something [DELETED] is going on

Bahamut44-4 3 December, 2009 @ 7:10 pm   268

Where’s vidzone? :(

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 7:10 pm   269

im still waiting for sony to send me a free code for the psp go game thingy

its been 3 days -.- lol

BobeshJakCip 3 December, 2009 @ 7:10 pm   270

Another “awesome” update.
Anniversary? Bah! Big content dissapointment.

At least i know that i have chosen right path and purchased credits on US account, because im not happy waiting for Braid and other great titles available in US. Shame on you with your anniversary SCEE.

Also what is going on with the prices of stuff on Czech PSN store? 9.99$ != 225kč! Depending on currency its actually under 160kč! Thats another reason not to buy from European store, and buy stuff on US store.

No offense Mike, you are doing great job, but SCEE dont.

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 7:11 pm   271

its always cheaper on us store but i aint got a us bank card or something :(

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 7:17 pm   272

@chicken14 buying a US PSN card of ebay is easy

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 7:17 pm   273

OW SHET THX i said nothing too :P

FFObsessed 3 December, 2009 @ 7:19 pm   274

Killzone: Liberation is still £15

And I want to once again express my disappointment at the PS1 game releases this week. Hope Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy VII will be released this year.

alex parks won the second series of fame academy had a couple of albums, the first, introduction, and the second, that i don’t know the title of, might be hard to find either now as her last album was a few years back, 05 i believe.

she does a good version of mad world, bet you know it from the gears ad. :)
doesn’t seem to be an official video of her version of the song but found this one

Mike, I’m waiting for those premium avatars since FW 3.0 came :(

djax-djax 3 December, 2009 @ 7:22 pm   277

Any news about Williams Pinball, which should be in store 2 week ago?

And will be Pinball Heroes in EU store?

RoadHazard 3 December, 2009 @ 7:22 pm   278

No VidZone. Great work, SCEE!

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 7:25 pm   279

for some reason vidzone is on the psn for me? i have downloaded it before though?????

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 7:27 pm   280

Lol actually that is probably where i heard it from first XD

That was a very good version of the song :)

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 7:29 pm   281

Chicken it was available in the UK for a while now but not other regions

Everyone complaining about vidzone give it time the store seems to be still publishing

Wow Peter Pan lol…¬_¬

Megaman Legends or Legend of Dragoon would be good =D

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 7:36 pm   283

hey rox u have psn? il add you? :D

SamWalter 3 December, 2009 @ 7:36 pm   284

were is call of duty classic isn’t psn getting it or is just eu users screwed…………

cool, just discovered a few alex parks tracks on vidzone :)

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 7:43 pm   286

Lol an excuse to actually use Vidzone :D

Yeah chicken i do go ahead ;)

@284 think that was confirmed for the US store today not ours

Splutterbug 3 December, 2009 @ 7:49 pm   287

I’ve been meaning to pick up The Last Guy so it would be rude not to at that price. Another one waiting for Vagrant Story, you know if we actually got more decent PSOne games like this it might actually give me a reason to get a PSP ;-)

djax-djax 3 December, 2009 @ 7:51 pm   288

█ Williams Pinball release date please…█

Dudley0Neill 3 December, 2009 @ 7:52 pm   289

Mike, will Metal Gear Solid ever be released in New Zealand?

This also brings another question to mind, is the New Zealand PS3 user base, and the country as a whole, big enough to warrant its own store. Wouldn’t it be more economical on SCEE’s behalf to lump the Australian and NZ stores together?

GavFFFan 3 December, 2009 @ 8:03 pm   290

Last week the US store gets 6 games including games like dino crisis and fighting force. Last week we get lilo and stitch and this week Peter ******* pan. Seriously?? Thats pathetic SCEE.

have a look for avril lavigne and evanescence, i can never spell that right always have to let the spell checker correct it, tracks in vidzone too roxas.
never know, you might like em. :)

NightHawk767 3 December, 2009 @ 8:11 pm   292

Yes, Killzone 2 DLC price cut! Still sad about no Braid though, I really want to play that game.

adamzag69 3 December, 2009 @ 8:13 pm   293

Anyone notice that Killzone liberation was £14.99 and still is £14.99, very disappointed

hana_fubuki 3 December, 2009 @ 8:19 pm   294

I’ll second (third, fourth, fifth…) the recommendation for Killzone Liberation. It was already a great game at full price, perfect for Sony’s portable (controls are great), so it’s a steal at €9.99.

I need to check out Elemental Monsters, I’ve wanted a good card game for the PSP for ages. Can’t wait for the PSP version of Eye of Judgement.

Can’t wait for the Assassin’s Creed II DLC, either, but that won’t be coming until next year. The LBP costume looks fantastic, though.

All in all, another good update!
And I already know next week will be, too, since PixelJunk Shooter alone is enough to make it great. :)

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 8:22 pm   295

Spell checker FTW! :D

Will do hazel :)

AcidCrashX 3 December, 2009 @ 8:34 pm   296

Hey mike, i’m looking at grabbing killzone lib but its still priced at 14.99 rather than 7.99 even though its in the specials section, any chance of a fix and a mention on twitter when its been amended? @AcidCrashX my good sir :)

have a good day off 2moz (if you reading this on your day off obv :P)

PSN-OmniusALX 3 December, 2009 @ 8:54 pm   297

A couple of things Mike.

1. I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but KZ Liberation’s price on the Store is incorrect compaired to your list – Was £14.99 now £7.99 – but its still listed as £14.99 on the store!

2. Any news on the Metal Slug Anthology for PSP coming to the EU store? (I believe its available on the US store)

other than that, I’m enjoying the store updates more and more. Even if some weeks come across ‘weaker’ than others, but hey, its not like you want to be spending all your months wages on stuff every week (as much as I’d like too) so the fact some weeks are slow certainly help the bank balance! :-)

Dutch_Rootsman 3 December, 2009 @ 9:14 pm   298

Killzone: Liberation and Gangs of London are still listed @ $29.95, so they are not on special, please fix.

Vagrant Story was supposed to be out on 12th November. That was a date the Square Enix gave us, when (date please) has SCEE decided they will allow it to be released?

Not a horrible update, but not good either.

djax-djax 3 December, 2009 @ 9:23 pm   299

Mike, everybody wants Pinball Heroes and Williams Pinball, could you tell us when will be on store?

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 9:27 pm   300

i added u rox :D

BusterMachine19 3 December, 2009 @ 9:35 pm   301

Slightly disappointing that Killzone is still £14.99, I was looking forward to giving that a go. I’d be great to know if Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is coming to the store too – I’m getting slightly worried that purchasing the Go was a mistake, since it seems we can’t rely on getting all the latest games; if Konami aren’t bothered about releasing to the store, does that mean no Peace Walker either?

SwiftRyu 3 December, 2009 @ 9:36 pm   302

FFVIII is coming? Wow, thought you couldn’t play it on European PS3’s?

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 9:37 pm   303

ps store is down i think atm coz its not opening onto my psp go nor onto my ps3 :D that could mean that they are updating things such as the killzone :D

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 9:39 pm   304

i guess not :'(

The PS one classics thats updates is great! Keep Disney classics coming! its make my job easier, because I try to sell PS3 to family’s that comes in and what to buy a console for Christmas. i log in on a PSN account at work and show them. They love it and I have sold loads of PS3 thanks to the family games on PSN!

tekkenism 3 December, 2009 @ 9:48 pm   306

Totally a joke

Dudley0Neill 3 December, 2009 @ 9:52 pm   307

Mike Said

“I understand that for some people these games are not for them, but we do have the family market to cater for also, I hope you can appreciate that.”

This begs two questions:

1. If your catering for families, why are you not catering for your core user base?

2. By using the term cater, are you (SCEE) referring to having control over what titles are chosen and released?

I agree that you should include family games on the PSN, but I doubt many Mothers or Fathers would choose to pay for a 10+ year old game when there are far better quality titles out there like Critter Crunch.

Maybe im reading too much into a throw away comment. But I think I made my point.

Also please note that the videos for Fairy Tale Fights and Bruno were not included in the New Zealand Store.

chicken14 3 December, 2009 @ 10:01 pm   308

any updates on killzone? i really want to purchase that for my psp :(

Psyvariar 3 December, 2009 @ 10:05 pm   309

Is there confirmation that Tekken 6 for PSP Go will be on the PlayStation Store in the next few weeks?

weak uodate, ill play bayonetta again for the english, but already played the demo from chinese store :)

not bad with the amount of this weeks content but still Abe! any news on that?

SausageDog 3 December, 2009 @ 10:12 pm   312

Lame update, although I was interested in Killzone Liberation until I went into the Special Offers tab on the Australian store and found the game was still full price in there. There’s clearly no QA on something as simple as checking the data uploaded to the store so I can’t imagine what efforts are being put into FFVIII.

crusher915 3 December, 2009 @ 10:17 pm   313

Question, I live in Iceland and I want to purchase a movie but when i go to the store with my British account all i can get is games why cant i get movies?? Also 1 more thing the store is not that well organized (at least from my point of view, meaning Iceland) all the game packs and skins and games are all put together so i can’t see which 1 are games and which 1 are game packs can you please try to organize it more??

Chungles 3 December, 2009 @ 10:24 pm   314

Any chance on clarification on the pricing for Killzone? I put £20 in my wallet to enable me to get the Sega Mega Drive Collection and Killzone: Liberation at the stated price; there’s only so many games of Alex Kidd I can go through before I start to regret my decision.

@ 307 , excellent point m8 1 ive been saying for weeks too . scee are literally doing a nintendo by not catering for the hardcore userbase 1st , kaz has said before u always cater hardcore userbase 1st and the rest will follow , scee havent done anything for the hardcore userbase at all since i got ps3 on day 1 . gow collection is latest shaft that comes to mind . excellent point m8 .

RastaDon 3 December, 2009 @ 11:05 pm   316

I asked about this a few months ago and was told that you would look into it but I haven’t checked back here in a while so I’m not sure if it was ever explained.

Is there a reason why Crash Bandicoot 2 was removed from the PS Store? It was on the store at one point but was then removed sonn after. Currently Crash 1, 3 and Team Racing are all available but it would be nice to have 2 put back up so that I can get the complete collection.

Scourgewood 3 December, 2009 @ 11:23 pm   317

I was lucky enough to get Silent Hill the first time around, but can’t understand why it was removed.

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 11:32 pm   318

@crusher915 the video store is region locked so you must live in the region the video store is released in, even making an account where the store is live won’t work it picks up on your IP address.

I’ll see what i can dig up on the killzone stuff to

I know people ¬_¬

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 11:38 pm   319

Killzone is at the proper sale price on the store now :)

mike and u wonder why scee get so much stick . u.s got resident evil 3 today yet for 3rd week in a row scee put out a kids game and u actually have cheek to try and justify it , alianating your hardcore userbase is biggest mistake scee could make . nice to see this is the thanks every1 who paid £425 for ps3 day 1 after 3 years , winnie the poo , bugs life , hercules , peter pan get a GRIP hows about getting the classics we have all been screaming for u knw for the hardcore userbase the people who paid £425 for ps3 day 1 .

unleashsteve 3 December, 2009 @ 11:53 pm   321

Eh, this one isn’t SO bad- Elemental Monster TD looks interesting enough, but i agree we’re leagues behind the US store…

That said, Mike, mate- you’re a saint- we abuse you so regularly, but you’re still good to us! Keep the updates coming, and keep posting here- your dedication always shows, even though we often don’t seem to appreciate it.

danmann861 3 December, 2009 @ 11:55 pm   322

It saddens me a little that we aren’t getting PSone classics I must admit, but I can live with it, I have a stack of PS3 games I’m working through anyways

Anyways QQ Mike

Any word on when we will see Dissidia Final Fantasy for the PSP hit the store? Any word at all would be nice

Thanks and have a good one.

Roxas598 3 December, 2009 @ 11:58 pm   323

Ok seany1 calm down

At the end of the day you have no idea how SCEE do things so stop shouting at mike and actually give decent feedback that’s what the blog is for!

Also don’t diss a bug’s life that game is awesome ¬_¬

roxas , no ill say it way i want to say it . i dont buttercoat it for anyone sorry . scee have been like this for years if they cant handle it then give them all the can and do away with scee ,

FFObsessed 4 December, 2009 @ 12:13 am   325

► PSone Classics NA 2009 – 51

► PSone Classics EU 2009 – 15

It’s a disgrace how bad SCEE have done this year compared to SCEA.

not to mention video store too . promised 50 new titles a week by andrew house head of scee yet theres 10 or under last 2 weeks lol . its a disgrace tbh

Dutch_Rootsman 4 December, 2009 @ 12:54 am   327

US gets Resident Evil 3, Europe gets Peter Pan.

SCEA = Pass, SCEE = Fail

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 1:04 am   328

were does it say that the killzone is now 7.99

on the psp store its not its still 14.99 :( let me check the ps3 store

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 1:05 am   329

nope it looks like the ps3 store is also at 14.99 rox what are u talking about? :S

bravo9zero 4 December, 2009 @ 1:45 am   330

Europe get Peter Pan,
US gets Command & Conquer: Red Alert Retaliation and
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis…

This is the reason we complain Mike (At SCEE, Not at you)
The US take the [DELETED] out of us every week about our PS classics.

Can’t SCEE work a little harder (You are payed for this you know?)
and work out these legal issues with the publishers.
So we can get GOOD PS classics on our store.

bravo9zero 4 December, 2009 @ 1:47 am   331

still no MGS in NZ?

seriously, this is totally unfair. mike, can you contact konami to find out why we dont have it?
its bad enough that us falling into the EU category have waited so long for the game, but now everone has it excpet new zealanders.

the stupid thing is, im british! im living in NZ now, but cant even use my british PSN account, and british credit card to get the game, since my pspgo will only allow me to tie one account to it. so stupid!!

any info apreciated mike. thanks.

RedemptionJoe 4 December, 2009 @ 2:57 am   333

So any idea on an actual AD-Hoc party date?

Why are we still waiting for this when it launched weeks ago in the US and so far not even peep from Sony about a possible release date.

RedemptionJoe 4 December, 2009 @ 3:07 am   334

Ah NVM was on page one with no real answer again.

Why is the pricing parity between Digital and Physical so out of whack?

It negates the reason for having a digital platform one in the first place when digital downloads cost as much as a physical UMD you have to start asking questions about price gouging when the major overheads, UMD/Packaging production and logistics are cut out but prices are the same, possible cheaper to the side of UMD.

I am not trying to troll here I would just like an explanation from Sony on why pricing parity between the platforms is so out of whack.

I would be grateful for any information provided.

Smegzilla 4 December, 2009 @ 3:13 am   335

51 compared to 15?! I didn’t realise it was that much of a difference. That’s very disheartening. Time to go scout out a copy of Vagrant Story. Chances are I can buy one at a reasonable price before we get the game (and probably get charged £7.99 for it).

Neoxeekhrobe 4 December, 2009 @ 4:05 am   336

Guys it would have nice if you would have left links to the games and other stuff that needed further details by newcomers. I am new to psn and don’t know what those games are. May be some reviews or articles!

sephiroth180 4 December, 2009 @ 5:50 am   337

any news about Call of Duty Classic? It was supposed to be released today :/

smokenss 4 December, 2009 @ 6:42 am   338

Good morning Mike. It’s there any chance to release FF XIII demo?

hobgoblin 4 December, 2009 @ 7:18 am   339

@ 336 sephiroth180

I think Mike mentioned a couple of pages back that it’s coming next week. Strange, because US have it this week (no surprise there), and it’s already been on the UK store ( and pulled) just a few weeks ago????

muzzar69 4 December, 2009 @ 7:20 am   340

US gets a brilliant adult game in resident evil 3 and Europe gets another kids game peter pan!
your doing this just do drive me up the wall arent you?
once, twice, i could understand but every single time europe gets a PS1 classic its a crappy kids game.
ive got a itch for some zombie decapitation dont make me go to L4D2.
i wished i lived in the US.
they pay for peanuts and get bars of gold.
we pay for bars of gold and get peanuts.

very cool ill be getting all the lbp stuff when is call of duty classic coming to the store?

Solid_Snake1987 4 December, 2009 @ 8:04 am   342

Thanks Mike for answering my question. For those that couldn’t be bothered to read through COD: Classic is out next week.

djax-djax 4 December, 2009 @ 8:31 am   343

Is Williams Pinball comming next week?

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 8:47 am   344

cod classic was out in UK i think when cod mw2 was released not sure about other countries :(

SausageDog 4 December, 2009 @ 8:47 am   345

So are you guys going to fix the pricing on Killzone Liberation and Gangs of London or are we just going to pretend this sale never happened? Bad week to have a stuff up given the lack of new PSP content.

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 8:52 am   346

yes i agree with sausage. we need more content also i would like to purchase the killzone at 7.99.

djax-djax 4 December, 2009 @ 8:54 am   347

Mike, thousands of people waiting for Williams Pinball, which has been announced as released two weeks before, but still not on PSN, why?

Chrisalddin 4 December, 2009 @ 9:15 am   348

Mike we got ppl asking about
Williams Pinball Classics
that got pulled from last weeks update
you got any news to give me so i can pass it on to them!

DOM_PNE33 4 December, 2009 @ 9:20 am   349

Excellent news on f-1. Thanks :)

Chrisalddin 4 December, 2009 @ 9:34 am   350

Killzone Liberation (PSP) (was – £14.99/€19.99 now – £7.99/€9.99)
Gangs of London (PSP) (was – £14.99/€19.99 now – £7.99/€9.99)

Bouth games are Still priced up at £14.99 not £7.99 there in the offer paer of the store but not at a offer price!

razordude 4 December, 2009 @ 9:35 am   351

Killzone and Gangs of London are STILL listed at £14.99

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 9:43 am   352

were is the update on F-1?

BusterMachine19 4 December, 2009 @ 9:48 am   353

On the first page of the comments – F1 is out next week

djax-djax 4 December, 2009 @ 9:54 am   354

Should I wait for the Pinball Williams, or should I buy it on UMD? I want to support digital download, but it looks, that Williams Pinball (released 2 weeks ago and still not on PSN) will not avaliable on PSN.

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 9:58 am   355

lets hope mike will try his best to help today :D

Still no Pro Evo 2010

Thanks Konami

Roxas598 4 December, 2009 @ 10:24 am   357

Still no Pro Evo 2010

Thanks Konami

This is what’s killing me too, without Pro Evo I’ve got no interest in keeping my Go – and if major franchises aren’t making it to the store, it’ll be dead as platform before too long anyway, so I’m considering trading it in while it’s still worth something.

“guys i just checked my store and the sale prices are there they have been since last night…..”

Not for me, on either Media Go or the PSP store, Gangs and Killzone are still £14.99.

Skookie30 4 December, 2009 @ 11:21 am   359

I hope KAZ read our commets here, i was told on twitter things will differently approve nope not yet.

this is aim @ kaz your SCEE is a joke, your region system is a joke 3 different region battle it out for more content

trying to out-done it other where the globel universal market system like hazil has said, get rid of SCEE mike told us we got a small team that‘s the problem. :(

S30 :|

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 11:32 am   360

rox i live in the uk london and i cant see the sale prices mate :(

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 11:32 am   361

ow yes i see only killzone is 7.99 what about gangs of london?

BusterMachine19 4 December, 2009 @ 11:49 am   362

I’ve got a £7.99 Killzone too now, but given my previous comments in the thread,I’m in two minds whether to buy it now!

chicken14 4 December, 2009 @ 12:08 pm   363

i just bought it its amazing game man 100% recomended :D has online too so u can play with other people. :P

BusterMachine19 4 December, 2009 @ 12:35 pm   364

Thanks for the recommendation chicken, but as I’m in two minds whether to keep the Go right now, I’m debating whether it’s really worth buying another game that I’ll possibly not be able to play in a week’s time.

Posted on 4 December, 2009 at 10:46 am by BusterMachine19

My gf should be getting my a go 2mrw for my birthday, but with this nonsense i will be looking for somethin other than a go.
Not to mention the retarded pricing on PSN, how is Tiger woods 09(31.99) priced higher than Tiger woods 2010(29.99)? Who’s amazing logic is this.

09 is more or less obsolete with the release of a newer version, why isnt the price slashed or just take it off the store. Fifa09 UMD is 9.75 but on PSN it’s 29.99. I can understand fifa10 being 29.99 but not an outdated game thats a year old.

The lack of info from Konami and Sony regarding the release of PES on the store is infuriating. I fail to see how silence helps the situation?

so maybe europe has a small team and that’s why we don’t get much content.
i say why.
why has scee got such a small team? that one man in a shed image is coming back again. :)
the region with undeniably the largest region and with without a doubt the largest number of users seems to get the smallest team, i bet japan, who were third place in market size behind the uk during this year, have a bigger team.
not saying that the us or japan shouldn’t have big teams, but we should also.
the fact is the small team scee has is simply not adequate.
far be it from me to say scee don’t know how to do their job but have they not thought of hiring more staff?
if the small size of the team is the problem.
but i doubt they will, because there’s an air of corporate apathy around scee.

tekkenism 4 December, 2009 @ 2:28 pm   367

amazing comment!

halfaworldaway 4 December, 2009 @ 4:14 pm   368

Good to see the Rock Band DLC back on track for the EU, Thanks

Poor! Why out of hundreds of PS1 games and the current back catalog of PSP games do PSP Go owners get the lowest scoring games and so few?!?!?!? Every week you say ‘gotta cater for all audiences’ which I understand but one lousy PS1 classic a week and the fodder of the platform to date? Not to mention the shambles which is the rewards scheme! I got into the current generation in just September and so far I’ve been really disappointed, what happened to the quality of the PS1&2 era that Sony ruled with? I don’t see it now!

You may think i’m just an angry fan but its annoying to fork out so much cash for a qualty systems and have so many poor titles to play on it, not the fault of the publisher but because Sony can’t run a decent online store!

Pull your socks up!!

PS – I WANT to throw money at you but only for games worth buying!!!!!!

TheIsotope 4 December, 2009 @ 5:53 pm   371

Hey Mike go the LBP PSP demo and I was dissapointed by it but on the other hand it’s a demo for a new game ! And I think on the second page you said FF8 was in test or something what does that mean?

give me some sims for christmas please

KincuriM 5 December, 2009 @ 2:47 am   376

Still no Jeanne D’Arc for PSP!

I believe there is a real feeling of disappointment and lack of support for those customers, like myself, who have purchased a PSP Go.

Granted, we bought it with full knowledge that we were limiting ourselves to games available through the PSN store, but i also think it was done with faith that SCEE would provide games in a timely manner, with availability prices compeditive with what we would expect from retail stores. i don’t think this has been achieved.

The constant complaints regarding delayed PSN releases and rediculous prices on the blog is a testiment to this.

i still have faith that things will improve, but i think the PSP Go has been poorly executed for the early adopters…

Just my two cents.

Wonder what happened to Vagrant Story and FFVIII? I thought those were coming ‘soon’ and its already nearly been a month.

djax-djax 5 December, 2009 @ 7:34 am   378

I bought NFS MW, but still waiting for Williams Pinball…

SmoggyPhil 6 December, 2009 @ 11:37 am   379

..Peter Pan?

US gets Oddworld, Silent Hill, Resident Evil….and we get Peter Pan..

This has gone beyond a joke. Why are developers dodging giving their best games to the EU???? C’mon Mike, there must be SOMETHING on the grapevine as to why the US and JP get stellar treatment and we’re treated like f**king dogs!!!!!

LittleBob87 6 December, 2009 @ 5:05 pm   380

Hi Mike,

1. Will there be a possible special offer on Monster Hunter Freedom Unite again?

2. Will FF7 Crisis Core be downloadable on PSN?

3. When will Final Fantasy Dissidia be out in the UK?

4. Is it possible for UMD downloadable games to be cheaper in future? (We can get Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on UMD for £18 and why £32 price tag for the download version?).

I do see lots of potential in PSP Go but games really need to be cheaper and larger catalouge of games is required to encourage potential buyers to purchase the Go. If only all UMD based games are available on PSN, I’m confident PSP Go will do better. I for one wish that PSP Go will never ever be hacked to encourage developers to develop quality games for the PSP platform (look at PS3).

I have just gotten my hands on a PSP Go and I’m struggling to find decent and fairly priced downloadable games on the UK PSN. I wouldn’t want to link my PSP Go to a US account (though I’m posting with my US account).

I look forward to receiving your reply and many thanks for your time in reading this.

so i guess we’ve stopped recieving responses from the team since page 5. surely if you are getting at least 8+ pages of comments with numerous suggestion/idea’s/frustrations you would be using this as amunition to get things done. like if the HQ in japan said no to something you could drop them 8 pages of comment from each weekly update this year to argue your cause.

i just get the distinct impression that the focus of this blog and Sony Europe as a whole is misplaced even with the amount of angry comments posted. i also think there’s a lazy element to it too. it’s alright jetting of to japan to get a look at the new pixel junk game but surely wouldnt it have been easier to get tehm to send you some media to post up so that you could focus on other tasks just as important. just smacks of mismangement through the whole of SCEE really. I also wonder if SCEE are also embarrased when a 3rd party pubisher posts a blog entry up and has a look round the site only to see these threads asking them same things with little or no response and nothing actively being done about the issue?

spankrocket 8 December, 2009 @ 3:38 pm   386

Anything on the premium Avatars ? Oh i didnt realise its the 15th anniversary of playstation. I Would like to say Happy birthday to the greatest console of the 1990’s. Ken Kutaragi Thank you so much ! I still have my ps1 , holding it brings back so many good times. and A big thank you to all the people who work at all branches of Sony computer entertainment, usa,eu ,japan , and others , thanks :)

Dante_Zero 9 December, 2009 @ 12:33 am   387

please for the love of god. Kaz hire some more staff for the poor excuse that is SCEE. 8-9 pages of angry coments on weekly updates must warrent it. hell i’ll come do it for free if it’s man power you need.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

US PSN store = $29.99 (appx. £18)

UK PSN store = £31.99

Please give us at least the “Jackie Chan’s Stuntmaster” game, please. A real PsOne Classic! And it’s from SCEE. So you already have it.
