So, we’re into the business end of the year; three more store updates to go, and then the festivities begin.
Things are ramping up in terms of content, and I’m sure there is something that caters to everyone’s tastes in each of the updates that round out the year. We’ll also have a new batch of Special Offers next week to see out the year too, so keep your eyes peeled for those.
To start us off this week though, for PS3 we have the anticipated PixelJunk Shooter, combining old school mechanics and the usual quirky styling you expect from the guys behind the PixelJunk games.
Moving on to the PSP, we have a new batch of minis available (don’t forget from the 17th minis will be playable on PS3 too), and you can also grab digital copies of Avatar and Tekken 6 (this title is not available until Friday however) too.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that there is additional Metal Gear Solid love for PSP this week, with the digital releases of Portable Ops, Portable Ops + and the Digital Graphic Novel.
There is plenty more available however, so for the full run down of content, scroll down for more.

any updates on the ps1 titles? vagrant story and ff8?
Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:07 pm by Mike Kebby
Looks like they’ll be coming sometime after the New Year now, the emulation process for PSone titles is quite drawn out.

What’s up with taht?

Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:06 pm by Paul2007
Not a bad update with plenty of content so some regulars on here will have to find something else to moan about.
PixelJunk Shooter looks pretty cool so I will buy that.
Next weeks release of Blue Toad Murder Files is what I am really looking forward to. Looks fantastic!

not a great update, some nice special offers though, lets hope we have something lined up for xmas…hint hint (maybe FF8
) don’t suppose you if we are getting any psone classics for the rest of this month….i know it’s getting old but i might as well ask before someone else on here unleashes hell on you

Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:07 pm by sowasred2012
Whoah, whoah, whoah – Mike, I’ve bought three of the Uncharted comics already and was planning to get the 4th one shortly, do you know if the skins come with the fourth one? I don’t wanna spend money on buying the bundle just to get them…
Otherwise, good update!
Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:08 pm by Mike Kebby
From what I’ve been told the skins only come with the bundle.

Is there any possibility that we can go a week without any stinking chatter about PS1 classics… please!…. god forbid… give the man a rest

Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:07 pm by TehDarkLocke
No info on CRASH BANDICOOT 2?
Please, it’s a Sony published game and you promised to look into it in one of your replies
Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot Warped and Crash Team Racing are all up on the store. Why not Crash 2, the best one IMO?
Also, info on Vagrant Story?

Nice update, this week
I’m looking forward to trying some Mini’s on my PS3!
I won’t bore you with my regular ‘FFVIII?’ question this week, but I *do* have another question for you!
Last month, the square enix newsletter said that Vagrant Story would be available on November 12th (I think… it was definitely dated for November though!). A couple of hours later, they sent a new email out but this time it said ‘coming soon…’
Any idea why they changed the release? Can we expect to see that or FF8 this side of Christmas? *only 2 more updates to go!!!*
- Neil
Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:09 pm by Mike Kebby
Date was changed because we never gave confirmation – it’s still in the emulation process at the moment, so we’ll see when it’s available (it won’t be this year however it seems).

Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:09 pm by Soild_Nat
PixelJunk Shooter i think, a great game in the series and at a fair price. I hope some past PixelJunk titles get the special offer treatment in celebration of this release, i never did pick up Eden and i think i should!
Lots happening at Sony HQ this week, new forum design, massive home updates, i just need X-Men available to rent in HD on the vid store this week and you have ticked all the boxes!

Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:10 pm by Gavin_Rozee
A good PSP update. Portable Ops would be mine if I didn’t already own it.
Props to Konami for not charging 31.99 GBP (LOL Tekken 6!!!).

I can only get the free stuff off the store at the moment ’cause I had £75 nicked out of my wallet the other day.
Looking forward to Blue Toad Murder files next week though, but I’ll probably have to get it after xmas. Will be sweet though.

HEEEEY MIKEFACE!!
holy balls that’s a lot of content.
question, Portable Ops and Portable Ops+ … why is the 1st Portible Ops more expensive than +? .. i thought + was out after with more content? :S
Thanks for the update Mike. how you finding your new position btw? ^_^
ACX
Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:18 pm by Mike Kebby
I think Portable Ops + offers less content, hence the cheaper pricepoint.
The new position is great, extremely hectic, but great thanks

If you don’t have any info on Crash 2, you could at least say that you don’t have any info on it…
Nice update though, and thanks for the hard work you’re doing on the store…
Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:20 pm by Mike Kebby
Sorry there, I don’t have any specifics regarding Crash 2, I believe there is some legal clearance that we don’t have for this region – hopefully something can be sorted, but I don’t know if this is possible yet.

Posted on 10 December, 2009 at 2:15 pm by Gavin_Rozee
I highly recommend that people buy Portable Ops. Not only is it great, but I really appreciate that Konami are asking such a good price and not ripping off their customers.
