So, we’re into the business end of the year; three more store updates to go, and then the festivities begin.
Things are ramping up in terms of content, and I’m sure there is something that caters to everyone’s tastes in each of the updates that round out the year. We’ll also have a new batch of Special Offers next week to see out the year too, so keep your eyes peeled for those.
To start us off this week though, for PS3 we have the anticipated PixelJunk Shooter, combining old school mechanics and the usual quirky styling you expect from the guys behind the PixelJunk games.
Moving on to the PSP, we have a new batch of minis available (don’t forget from the 17th minis will be playable on PS3 too), and you can also grab digital copies of Avatar and Tekken 6 (this title is not available until Friday however) too.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that there is additional Metal Gear Solid love for PSP this week, with the digital releases of Portable Ops, Portable Ops + and the Digital Graphic Novel.
There is plenty more available however, so for the full run down of content, scroll down for more.

I just noticed that thehut are doing tekken 6 psp for £17.73…
Something is going to need to happen with the prices on the store, surely?

The majority of prices i can’t complain with if am honest but i agree 3rd partys need to get their head straight and sort the prices out on new games. Maybe once the user base for digital psp content picks up Sony may have a wee word with such publishers?
Also ahh a dunno what to do! I wanna buy a PSP Game and tempted to get Killzone while its £7.99 but…America got Castlevania Silent Hill Origins and Resi PSOne Classics and now am thinking with the hype over next few updates do i buy killzone or stick with bordom and wait a few days for possibly something 1 or all of them lol. Hmmmm

Also, if you need a demo that is only on US/JPN store, why not download it from there, I wonder how many EU folks have houses on zip code 90210…

Hi Mike,
This may be a newbie question but is there anyway to easily locate content by “type”, by this, I mean to find all the demos
And maybe a way to find all the free stuff too

Eh, i voted with my feet, and went to a high street store to buy Tekken 6- got it for 35EUR, which is only a saving of a fiver, however i get a box and manual. PSN store lost a customer this week. (Not, obviously that i’d be missed, but just saying). If i’d had the patience to buy the UMD from another online store, the saving would have been even greater, as a lot of others have been pointing out. So, my question would be: where’s the justification for that 39.99 price tag?

Hey Mike check in every week but first post. Just wanna say you are doing a good job and dont deserve the stick you get! Keep up the good work. Was just wondering if THQ have any plans to bring the old smackdown (ps1) to the store? Shooter is great btw

Just checked UK PSN cateory on the PEGI website (www.PEGI.info) and whilst Resident Evil, Dino Crisis and GT aren`t present, I did spot R-Type Delta, Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer Type 4. Is this an indication that they`re due to appear on PSN very soon? And if so is this the original Ridge Racer or an HD version? I`d love to see Ridge Racer Revolution HD with full online racing.

mike please tell EA to put sims 2 when it comes out to either £13.99
or £9.99
the reason i am asking beacause of this
sims 2 pets £15.99 UK
sims 2 pets $9.99 US
im pretty sure a dollar is worth less than a pound
so really the game should be
decent price £9.99
should be £7.99
if konami or whoever made metal gear can put it to that price then so can EA
ow year another thing this game was made in 2005 so it is nearly 5 years old
so anyway yeah can you please put sims 2 when it gets released on friday to about £9.99 thanks

Hello, we all know that the Cold Front DLC Map pack for Socom is coming to USA PS Store on the 17th December, but can someone from Sony please confirm if Europe is also receiving the pack on the PS Store on the same day? And please can you confirm the price?
Many thanks
Tyza
