Launching into PlayStation Home on December 17th will be the much anticipated Audi space. The Audi space will be the perfect place to hang out and experience everything Audi: from Audi TV to an ongoing calendar of content, including virtual lectures, product launches and more! The highlight, however, must be the 6 player mini-game: Virtual Run. In Virtual Run you’ll be driving Audi’s exciting new electric sports car – the e-tron – first unveiled at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show. Have you got the skill to unlock the special apartment?

wow – that looks brilliant. Is the apartment unlock only or will it also be purchasable ?

You’ll need to earn it as a reward from the Virtual Run. I’m sure you’ll have fun doing it, though!

I like the wipeout with cars look the game has gone for. This might just get me into home next week, the amount of spaces in there now is quite staggering compared to a few months ago.

looks like a fun game, is it separate instances for each player so there’s no hour long queues to play it?
you know what would be really cool, a full size car for our apartments.
where you can sit on the bonnet or something as well.

Looks interesting but I would prefer to see the PixelJunk spaces open in Europe, SCEA made those available over two months ago now. Any idea when we are going to get them?

spaces look nice bt just same old added to list of 10 now that are of nt much use without stuff to do in them . why cant u just sell pool tables so home would be a bit more abt socialising while having fun

The Audi space will have a calendar of events and other stuff that will release over time. Keep your eyes on the space next year, as there’s a good variety of things planned so there’s bound to be something that appeals.

Minchia! No wonder I don’t waste bandwidth for Home anymore. To lose time to watch a commercial. Is this really what Home was supposed to be? You know, at least BMW are much better. Well, not to mention Ferrari and Lamborghini. Just give us the avatars, please.

This actually looks kind of good. If the devs make spaces with interesting content and music and put some effort into mini games then Home would be worth visiting.

Hang on a mo, I’ve just read through the article again. Can we win that Audi apartment by playing the game (as in free apartment), or do we still have to pay for it once it has been unlocked?
It would be nice to see more replies from SCEE staff by the way, especially when Home articles are posted.

You’ll receive the Audi apartment as a reward for completing the Vertical Run with a score over … well, you’ll have to find out.

Haha, i always love to see these big white boxes on the official Playstationblog that say “this application is NOT supported” when browsing with my PS3. I mean isn’t it obvious that the PS3-Browser is really bad and needs to be improved?

Thanks for the reply Alex, appreciated. Allowing us (Home users) to win decent goodies this way is definitely a step in the right direction for Home – it’s challenging, entertaining and rewarding.

What is the point of all this?
Are you people honestly getting excited at the prospect of being bombarded by adverts?
Home is definately showing what it was designed to be, a blunt advertising tool, one in which they get you to pay for stuff in aswell!
Cynical exploitation at it’s most disgusting. I am totally disillusioned with Sony and will never buy a Sony product again.
