Hi everyone,
Today, I’m really pleased to be able to talk to you about SingStar Viewer, a great new SingStar app coming soon to PlayStation Store.
With SingStar Viewer, you can browse and purchase from SingStore, and watch, rate and review uploaded video clips, photos and profiles in the MySingStarOnline community – all without needing to have a SingStar disc in your PS3.
Anyone with a PSN account will be able to download SingStar Viewer for FREE from PlayStation Store and see what’s going on in the SingStar community and SingStore. Once downloaded, SingStar Viewer will sit on your XMB under the Games category, so you can instantly jump into the online community whenever you want.
If you’re a SingStar pro and are already a member of MySingStarOnline, then you can purchase from SingStore, rate and review video clips etc. as usual.
If you’re new to SingStar on PS3, then you can browse the SingStore and view community videos etc. (just not rate / review them). So if you’ve never tried SingStar before on PS3, you can take a look and see what all the fuss is about!
Take a look at the video to see SingStar Viewer in action, and check the PlayStation Store over the coming weeks. SingStar Viewer is coming very soon!
Let me know your thoughts on SingStar Viewer below. : )

I have just installed and it’s sweet. I just wish it would be placed in the top of the menu (like VidZone) and not like just a game you download.
Great work, people!

I installed it and tried to download (buy) just some Dutch titles. BUT! I can’t put neither of them in my shoppingcart. I don’t have used SingStar before on my PS3, but I do have the mics from my PS2.
Question, can I only buy tracks if I have at least used 1 SingStar game-disc? Or should I be able to use SingStar Viewer to play and buy songtracks? Anyone can help?

I’m also having the same problem as CyberKid69. I am a New User to Singstar but when I’m trying to buy tracks from the Singstore the option to Add to Cart isn’t there but I don’t know why? I think its something to do with being a New User but I don’t know what I ned to do to be able to buy the tracks?
If someone could help I would be eternally grateful.

Great App
A few other things id like to see in the future if poss:
1. I really want to be able to transfer the vidoes, photos and audio recordings I do off the PS3 and onto my PC to show other people.
2. Need to install all my discs to the HD (I know, everyone is asking for this. I wony buy anymore discs until I can do this)
3. Give us some more video upload slots to the mysingstar online bit. 5 is too few
4. Integrate the my sinstar online to the singstar website like Buzz is. Would be so much better
5 And lastly. When are you going to give us at least one little free song. Lips gives you free songs and all the other music games do also. Just one, please !
Love Singstar. Keep the great updates coming

@CyberKid69
I imagine you at least have to have played the PS3 version of Singstar in order for your PS3 to recognize you have Singstar. You cannot download the songs if there isn’t at least data for that game, in the same way you cannot download DLC for games you don’t own.
@Sutorcen:
I kind of disagree with point (2). 25 Euros is 5 Euros too much, seeing as some older Singstar versions are only 5 Euros more expensive. Perhaps 20 Euros is the key number.
Also, I agree with a dedicated forum, especially with a forum of song requests, or at least a topic about it. An entire forum might be a little too much, BUT it would help in determining which songs are worth investing in. I mean, if a topic about a certain artist has a lot of posts in it by a lot of different users, it would probably be worth checking that song out. It could have potential to put some money in so you could get a bigger wad of cash. I mean, 100 cheap to license songs only a few give a crap about and 10 more expensive to license songs a lot of people do want make a lot of difference.
